It needs to be very high damage in addition to the vuln application. And by that i mean higher than staff ele. At the very least it should be comparable to ele and thief.
You need more than that. Engis are not meta for instance.
What it not make sense is Ice bow and glyph of storm on the same class. Nor PS and banners; nor aegis and reflects, etcetc. Those key skills shoud be divided among all the classes. So each class bring some unique skill and you never can have all the OP skills with any class composition.

You forgot blinds and maybe stealth… That puts thief on the meta, albeit its dps.

One question regarding cliffside fractal. And I hope my English is good enough to make myself clear :P
On the part with the two seals, where we kill first a mob, hit the seal, go to the other seal etcetc. A thief can permablind the second mob on the first seal, so it doesnt regenerate, right? So, can an ele achive the same thing? Idk, with earth elemental just eating the hits?

I had a similar experiencr on fractals lv40. We got Mai, someone called to take advantge of the log out thing. So I died near the end… I thought I would earn time logging out and in. To my surprise I log in in the fractal hall, with only one member left. No chest for me. I was so mad.

Lately I’ve gotten in a habit of exploiting ooc weapon swaps during phantasm casts. The process is, start with sword/sword + focus (or staff if you expect boss to have 4 or more unique condis) and:
- Be in Sw/F
- Start summoning Warden
- Equip Pistol while Warden cast is channeled (double-click Pistol in inventory)
- Summon Duelist
- Swap to Sw
- Summon SwordmanThere ya go, you just summoned 3 phantasms in like 3 sec. Your dps is only 3.7% less than 2xSw + 1xDuelist but you actually reached your peak dps almost instantly and still have the signet of ether available to refresh both the swordsman and the duelist in case they die later on. Or, if you’re so good that your phantasms will stay alive – equip mantra heal for +4% personal dps and a convenient way to keep your scholar bonus up vs small hits.
Moral of the story – if you want to dish out competitive dps in the burst-y nature of the current dungeon meta, you have to exploit.
I do that for stacking might on my ele and havent thought on do it on memser

I dont think anyone consider this and exploit on eles, so.why should.be and exploit onesmers? I also exploit the toss abilities on engi to prestack might, dont thinik is anexploit either
