I decided to undust my old thief. So a couple of confirmations as i am outdated.
Dagger is better than staff when all boons and vuln are provided.
I should only autoattack when quickness is up, otherwise vault or cnd should be used.
Trait wise I should go for trickery with daggers instead of daredevil.

Anothet thing regarding breaking bars. What should I use? Dagger/pistol is an option now (just for dagger aa and pistol4 for the bars) or there are better options?

I agree the class withe the more complex rotaton should be rewarded with the higher dps, np on that. But that has nothing to regarding making a build not viable anymore.

You can solo all of them (story and explorable) , except the ones who need some more people for some mechanic. You can easly find vids on youtube (and most of them are frm before the power creep).

Ok. So to keep on topic. I cant get into BnS, so after I finished the witcher 3, I tried again d3. And I am surprised how enjoyable is now (just did the main story and drop it back then). So I gonna stay with d3 til bdo is out.

Problem with raid (at least right now) is you need a dedicated group. Set up a pug is a pain.
Also the problem with fractls is not the rewards but the instability system which is unfair and goes against proper gameplay.

Dusk, do you understand or have more info on why anet dropped dungeons and the logic with bad instabilities design? These two points are killing the game for me (actually the lack of new dungeons and f4actals).

Well as a dungeon/fractal runner, I have to say I need NEW content. Raid is fine but is not a sustitute for the above.

Well, pre HoT fractals were fun (they were my main daily thing). Post Hot, fractals are annoying as hell and not fun anymore (why I am punished with losing all my boon for a proper dodge? why random conditions that I can’t avoid are applied to me? etcetc). They are tedious, sorry. And more importantly, they are not a challange, not at all.

downloading now. By the way, have you tried wildstar? I read that you need to invest a lot of time in order to play the endgame, but as far the leveling is fun is gonna be enough for the time being.
