I asked the same for engis turrets. Someone test it for me. We knew the hp tho… But i guess we can figure that out usimg conditions on earth elemental.

By the way on engis forum told me.that thrump turret has an armor of 2100 whereas the rest of the turrets have 1500.

Idk if it is interesting or not. But I just came form pvp hall. The only turret that is able to gain the npc warrior aggro is thumper turret.

Yes. I saw it on the wiki. Can’t find its armor. Damage reduction trait* is minus 33% and self repairing is 5%… Idk, should be immune to venom, so it may work. So far I haven’t find the health and armor of Earth elementals…

Is too much to ask if you can try it? I can’t play my engi at this moment. I salvaged his armor to sell ranger runes, and I need a month till I get ascended armor to test it.

*I always pug. In an organized group that makes no sense, but in a pug it may be interesting to know.

I was AFK Belka with my engis turrets… Do you know wether turrets can.be used in old tom like eles earth elemental?

I used to do that kind of tests too., but in the indestructible golem tho (iirc it has 80K hp). So it allowed to calculate timekills for longer timeframes. I used to do 240K, that is 3 “kills”.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a good computer back then, so I used a chronometer… So quite inaccurate. Anyway, it was fun and the results quite interesting.

I am happy to disagree. On fractals you can’t melt every mob with glyph of storm + ice bow. So sustained vulnerability has a place.

I will have to disagree. For me, Guardian is the hardest profession to play properly. And is nothing to do with rotations…is just the knowledge that it demands. You forgot your wall? Congrats, you are responsible of the wipe.

I have just had (is that sentence correct?) the most fun yolo experience on a Pug.

I joined a zerker LFG for TA up. We waited like 2-3 min and decided to get started. Both as zerker eles. We ran half the path before the group was full. Not a single down and things were melting. Very very fun.

Guys, on your LFG for high level fractals, do you ask for meta builds? I had an horrible experience at lv 49: very bad dps, a necro using signet of the locust the whole run…

I am trying to mixmax the thing. So I will expriment a little more with runes and sigils.
For instance, I think double staff is a good idea, and probably also aristocracy runes.

And what about buffing mesmer autoattacks by a 60%. Then you decrase the damage by a 20% for each phantasm out. In this way phantasms = utilities ( reflwcts, burst, tp split the source of damage etc)

Is hard to say here, but what worked for me in order to learn lupi is to use a survival bi with apothecary gear. I think it was dub who made the suggestion/joke. But to learn all yhe animations..it was the best approach.

About the pull, just to be sure (you know my English is quite meh): first wall/stability ward, move under the ledge, pull the mob, go again to the carrier, and do the reflection/cleaning rotation and push the champion?

I am on my guard now… and it has been the hardest profession so far. So I’d like some tips on specific encounters.

On SEp3 the carrier part. I rotate reflects and cleanings…and if the group has good dps (I always PuG) the thing is being done… It is a little messy somehow though. Maybe I lack some information on where to pull the mobs?

So… Will you do a guide for eles?

I just helped a FT 1K AP engi. He was very open minded and willing to learn. Comparing kill times on the indestructible golem…priceless.

I got 39 with dredge and cliffside. It wasn’t a meta group, so at least 2 of them weren’t contributing to the damage output but weren’t dying at least, so I don’t know if it would work, but I just used hallowed ground, stand your ground and traited virtue for maximum stability uptime, played hammer for protection, and we waited for everyone to be here and burst them down quickly with invul if available. The boss shouldn’t be a major problem, try to trigger the mob’s death from afar after the hammer is charged.

Yeah, we quit at the two regenerating seals. 2 eles, a mesmer, and 2 wars, tho.

Pals we have hardcore content: Lv 39: Last Laugh (Enemies explode when killed) and cliffside fractal… Holy kitten.

Any tactic? We had to gave up.

A guard answered that DD stands for damage dealer.
I said that we all are DD. And surprise surprise the guard claimed that he was support. I pointed that support can be done with berserkrr gear… Silence.
A necro joined and keept the speed signet. I wished them good luck.

I dont recall.exactly but the guard was well beyond 10K AP so was the necro.

Belka can be done less lazily using triple kit + your crate turrets to tank it, but you need to maintain pretty high DPS (expensive food + stacks) else you’ll probably need to out of combat at least once.

Alphard can almost certainly be done much faster using Bombs/Flamethrower/Toolkit or Elixir Gun + Rifle, but I don’t really plan on solo’ing Alphard again soon enough to compare times.

^^ Ele has all the tools, it’s simply a matter of learning them. Knowing the dungeon is good and all but your success is more about learning the Ele, and you ahve to play it to learn it! Personally I’m a very bad ele working on it though!

just use effective power. Without might zerk an kitten are even. With full might kitten wins.

I recall a similar thing from frifox on mesmers. In an organized groups zerker.geatnis better.

It’s mainly because of the passive damage of vuln stacks, the bleed can be useless sometimes, depending on your allies. You can also simply take another 5% dmg modifier there, but calculations have shown that is rarely matters.

And yea, we talk about on bosses (!). 20 stacks vuln are easy reachable on elite trash even without bufffood. But bosses are a different story: most other classes struggle at 5 stacks, engi maintains 15 stacks and with some spikes with barrage or mine field up to 25 for the moment.

You won’t cap vuln nor bleed only by yourself on champs or higher tier enemies.

The problem is that (except high level fractals) sustained vuln cap is not needed. Bursts of vuln cap ate more than enough. I really think glyph of storm and ice bow shouldnt be on the same class.
