Let me tell you an old story.
I was running Twilight Arbor forward with some pug. There is an skip which can be challenging for some people. It was easy for me cause I was on my warrior. A typical tactic is to use stealth. Funny thing we had an engi who was wishing for a thief. So I offered to teach him how to stack stealth with his bomb kit… He refused.
For instance, I would be so glad if someone was willing to correct my English so I can improve and be a better at forum wars…
The lupi thing is as saying you still have a lot to learn. Which is good. Unfortunatly many many people play less and less cause has done evrything in this game.
For instance my goal for this christmas is ti learn to solo lupi.
Oh by the way, is quite offensive to claim that we are only following guides.
We also. The difference that we do content with active defenses. A missed dodge and you are dead. Trust me, is more challanging, and more fun.

I propose you a test. Go to thr mists and tell me how fast you kill the indestructible golem 3 times on a row. And then try it with the meta.build. You will realize how big the fifference is.
The meta build also has a lot of on crit effects is that is yout thing
And it needs a lot of apm. Is fun.
What is not fun is to spend 2hours instead of 15 min to do a dungeon.
Edit: just saw the 2nd post. Fyi, zerker gear needs more skill than facetank. And is more rewarding. Maybe one day you will.try it.

I agree on precise sigjt. But strenght+ battle allows me to have 25 stacks of might in solo or bad groups.
Sharpnel has a long duration bleedings, is well worth imo.
Assassins vs berserker, pretty even.In my early days I was using too strength and battle. But I really suggest you to swap one (swap strength cough) out for a sigil of force. You’ll be overbuffed if you stack some might yourself or if anyone else does it. You can keep up 9-12 stacks on your own with your skills, 9 with strength or battle (if using strength runes). But in a pt you’ll be capped. In bad groups or solo it may be better but … is that your goal?
In my hands: I stack 9 (12 if lucky) with firefields blasting, 6 with battle… so I really need strenght to go 20-25. As you, I only PuG and I never never ever never see 25 stacks of might party wide (unless provided for me). But fear not, I have a night/force riffle for those lottery pugs runs. I actually did the opposite, started with force/strenght and end up running with battle/strength XD

How it come that when I Pug with some of you (people from iV, rT, KING…) is it always on SE?
Has noob a secret code or something? Are you not allowed to say that you are the guild.from the official forum?
I would go rifle aswell. That being said, depending on the party (bad ones, actually), I use giver’s pistol/shield = more survavility and more condition-vuln stacking.
In either case I end up with sigils battle/strenght (assasins rifle and armor). In a perfect group, where might stacking is a thing, is a dps loss; but I only do PuG runs. I am able to stack 20-25 might for myself the whole fight (9-12 or so for the party), which is far better thatn 15% damage modifiers from night/force.
Another thing is that I don’t trait for “rifle mod” but for “hair trigger”. Rotations are more simple with this, more condition removal and is a dps increase if fights are longer (like in PuG runs).

Just wondering if someone has been playing around with fortified turrets. I dont have the trait unlocked. The thing is that I just did a SE p1&3 with an awful guardian. I managed to keep the party clean of conditions but my toss elixir U was not enough as a the only reflect source.
I have a cute asuran engi and I am thinking into getting my first legendary… But is it worth on engis? Id go for the predator.

Edit: And if you take HGH all elixirs grant might, so I’m sure you could figure out how to get 25. It’s not worth all the tradeoffs though.
I am thinking in a pug situation as the only might provider. Which is the acceptable tradeoff (in other words which one is our phalanx build?)

So there’s at least some of the damage I’m not maximizing.

Mhm, but that’s not that unlikely if you have a good Ele, lots of ways to get fire fields too and you’re throwing out 2 blasts pretty regularly.
That said, I think the rotation they showed is pretty insanely intense and unrealistic so yeah feeling better about my sub par performance as I’d be pretty impressed to see anyone pull that off regularly while fighting something. You’re wasting dodges for damage which right there is unrealistic, then just keeping track of all those cooldowns while having to put in dodges and other avoidance things while it’s happening, just seems a bit unrealistic.
Still worth working towards as again personally I’m seeing a few seconds faster kills on that robot and I know I’m not doing it perfectly. I mean Acid Bomb is 100blades damage but much much faster if you execute it properly. At the very least getting jump shot and blunderbuss in with grenades. And then Flame Blast is very easy to land and you get the extra burning damage from the toolbelt and static discharge damage, as well as the fire field for might stacking, just all around good rotation if you don’t need other utilities which granted sometimes you do.
I have been play around again. Right now I am trying what Guang said : " . Fireforged Trigger is probably actually better than Rifle Mod now as a result since it enables you to autopilot Flame Blast after every Shrapnel Grenade since the cooldowns match up.!

Thief, ele, engineer, ranger, warrior, guardian, mesmer, necro is accurate. I’m not upset if you won’t take my word for it, but you can adjust it yourself if need be. Take the warrior numbers from that spreadsheet and subtract 2.5% direct dps. Take the ranger numbers and add about 15% direct dps. That change should be more the sufficient to explain the flip flop of those two professions. As far as engineer goes, Grenade barrage, Acid Bomb, Jump Shot, Blunderbuss is the most powerful burst dps in the game, and they have very high sustained DPS now thanks to Detonate Flame Blast.

Im working in my engi rotations. In the meanwhile, do you know how much dps is lost for (lets say worst escenario) just nade spamming?
I’ve been wondering this too.
I was able to look at one of their calculations for the max DPS and removing some of the attacks and replacing it with just grenade1’s we’re looking at like 60-70% of the damage of the full rotation. But, to note, you also lose all that burst, which is important in some situations. Just to be clear though that’s a estimation, not factual data and I believe I left in the rifle usage in there so just removed the elixer/flamethrower and bombs from dodges.
What puzzles me is that I need 60-65 secs to “kill” the indestructible golem on the mists 3 times either with nades spamming or with a proper nades/FT/EG/rifle rotation.
Doing it the other day I was seeing about 2-4s faster with the proper rotation performed poorly compared to full grenades.
There very much is a difference in performance as well. The rotation is harder to perform and if you fumble you’re adding extra time making the DPS lower than optimally performed.
And like personally I often cancel my Acid Bomb before it actually activates… that’s purely wasted time without the effect, screwing up the entire rotation. Really a lot of things that can go wrong with that acid bomb, get launched too far away and suddenly you may miss the initial hit of jump shot, or be wasting time running in. Get “stuck” in the kit and end up firing off your Elixer Gun 5 for no reason instead of jump shot.
I’ve also had a lot of bad luck with Flame Blast, it just disappeared but doesn’t seem to give any effect. I’m not really sure on the damage part (always a lot of number flowing around) but the blast effect isn’t always showing even if I’m on the field spamming the 2 key.
Point being, while going from that optimally performed equation spamming grenades is something like 60-70% damage if my estimation is at all correct. But, that’s optimally performed rotation, if you can’t do that then you may not be all that bad off just going for the easier rotation. It’s not like warrior or Guard rotation where you just kind of wait for an AA round to finish and hit a button. There’s a bit more difficulty to it, at least imo.

I am not sure if anything has changed with the mystic toilet. Is “3 level 75 rares + stone” the way to go? I just read a wanze’ post from 6 months ago saying that he would use exotics now. Why is that?

Once I figure which class I will main, I will go for a legendary. So, any tips on that? What I should start with? Map completion? Precursor? Should I just buy directly?
