What bothers me is the lack of banners. Is not unusual that Im forced to carry both.

I know I’m late,,, but I’ve been running the 06062 on Cof1, SE1, TA up&fwd (the easy ones) and I’m utterly impressed. And I still don’t have strenght runes (running with scholars).

Do you think is worth to lose personal dps by running a phalanx warr in order ?o buff a pug (or bearbows).

Ive seej that bow is rcommended over.rifle in all guides Ive seen. Main reason is the utility that bow has. Those guides also claim that aa dps is similar. The issue is that this last point is not true. Just go to yhe mist and tried. Bow dsp is far worse. Now that gs or axe camping is max dps I always bring a ranged weapon on PuGs.  So, what Im losing? Does anyone remember what they did before the feature patch? Because now they are pretty much the best runeset for condi damage on both necro and warrior. Whereas most people stick to the old undead runes or the new krait runes.

Im not sure, in PVE: condition duration > condition damage. On necros, you can go 6/6/x/x/x and achive 123% condition duration on scepter bleeds…so you can use condition damage food.

EDIT: with Krait runes I meant.

You will always find a group being a warrior… Some times even when it not makes.sense (lol Guesd Im just venting, as I just got kicked from a.cof1 zerkrr rush for beong a.zerke.r ele…and not a warrior -lools like they wanted a 4warr -1 mes group).

Edit: Ill go for engis…but some timed you wont get any.group just for being an.engi. Go safe and pick guardian or warrior.

Actually just theorycrafting the build set for five engis group should be fun enogju.
By the way, I havent unlock the reflecting turrets trait. Any experience with it? Is reluable?

Im on another league, but I d like to share the folowinf: I started soloing somecontent few days ago. Just easy things so far… like ac story. I m still choosing my sprt shoes so I tried different classes. The smother run was with my minion condition necro…by far (just respec when dealing with structures).
On the other hand, no, even in a pug setting, conditions are not worthy ( my first toon was a condition thief, then a phantasm mesmer and then a condition necro… I tried hard)

Thats the build most people is using. The other one is 6-6-0-0-2.
Some people also claim that 6-3-0-0-5 is better… but I really don’t like traits like scope or enduring damage… reduced tool belt skills may be a dps increase tho.

EDIT: ah, ok, I didn’t look at gear. Yeah noone is using givers nor travelers. But I think GK neither after this last patch.

Ive been on dnt forum… Kind of surprizes me the different attitude on there… None of my business tho

Sorry, my English is not very good. I meant lvl 80 toons that everyone one should have. Then you use one or other accordint path and party.

That’s actually my concern… I have a mesmer…and I am not really in the mood to level a guardian in order to substitute him.

And taking into account my play time I can’t afford to have several ascended weapons (kitten dragonite).

Silly question… When do you use LH on a d/f build?
I mean, I can understand LH on scepter build due lack of sustained dps

My only complain about engis is their dps… 1/4 or so came from conditions… So at the end of the day, conditions are removed or overstacked or mobs die so fast that the ticks didn’t take place… And is a pitty, I really love their versatility

I am getting the impression that no one is using staff on Ele. Being scepter the most used weapon. Is that correct? Why? Only cause better might stacking?

When I go down is because her spatial surges are focused on me, yes.

Mmmh I melee her aswell but is true that I tend to start at distance with meteor shower and cast a lava front before going close quarters….

I guess that on speedclears groups she goes down so fast that doesn’t matter, but in my PUG runs she tends to focus on me… Being quite embarrassing.
So, are the aggro mechanics known? Please don’t tell me that she is focusing on the guy with a zerker-Ele?

From what I have read so far, fully buffed with banners / food / spotter / bloodlust

elementalist is losing something like 29% damage,
Guardian 11%
Warrior around 14% – 17%

What about other classes like ranger, mesmer, thief and engi? How will the damage per profession look like next patch?

Why is Ele losing so much? I thought that more damage modifiers meant less dps decrease. Thinking in staff ele here by the way.

Only ascended box I’ve gotten is from 19. I mostly run 29’s and some 30s.

I just got one (sentinel stats:() at lvl 11. And I saw another one at lvl 10. Maybe ou should start doing lower tiers XD

As a new ele I was wondering if there is a thump rule to know where is worthy to use icebow.
Guess against structures and bosses with big hitboxes… But how do I know the size ofbthe hit box?

I joined as a mesmer… not single banner was used on the hole run.

In my case:
PVE: ele
PvP: mesmer
WvW: mesmer

As a new ele… I going to fall in love with all of you (Irish, DeKeyz, Zehlyn…)…

I tested with pyromancer’s alacrity (so lava front is at almost 5sec) and fire field ends at the same time that skill is ready to use. Also, I only got 4 ticks at mobs…
For me is not working. How do you test it?
EDIT: Retested, works just fine. Even tooltip is ok. (???)

Fire.field stays for 4 sec no matter what. Thats a1/3 decrease on lava front dps. Could you plz fix it?
