No. This is completely wrong. Whether or not something else is optimal, I’m use to my WvW build. I’m in WvW 70+% of the time. My build affects how I play at a fundamental muscle memory level.
On a side point. I think you may have better success if you rephrase your point. For example, if you tell me to do something I instinctively say no. On the other hand, if you had said.

Yes. While I agree with 9% Vs 200 power; the 20% less CD and 20% faster attacks, allows you to have 100% reflects uptime and 3 phantasm up anytime.
10/30/0/30/0 is a good setup also. Only problema is that you have a lower rump up phantasm setting and more trobles resummoning them.

As far as sigil goes, Bloodlust on a off-hand (focus)
The problem that I had is that I was afraid of swaping weapons, so I end up putting bloodlust on main-hand and battles in off-hands (so I can swap on cooldown getting might and bloodlust’ stacks).

I drop reflections and no swiftness but (at work so I cannot test) I think it should be able to keep 25 stacks of might, 25 stacks of vulnerabilty, 100% fury uptime, party wide.
The idea is to adjust how many phantasms you keep up according party capacity of stacking might and vulnerabilty.
What do you think?

About runes. How much are you really losing but not using ruby orbs and going with traveler’s or centaur?

I’m trying to max DPS on my phantasm (0-20-0-25-25) Mesmer.
Right now, I’m going with sigils of accuracy and force. As might and bloodlust charges does affect phantasm I would like to change my sigil. But I’m undecided and looking at different guides there are different options:
i) mainhand: strenght —offhand: bloodlust.
ii)mainhand: bloodlust —offhand: battle.
iii)mainhand: battle--offhand: force.
I went to the mists: —-battle : 6 stacks of might, but 3 with strength.
---strength: 3 stacks of might.
SO questions:
i) In a real dungeon and with pve gear, can strength stack more might than battle?
ii)Why sigil of accuracy is never considered?
iii) Why sigil of perception is never considered?

Long ago I run with a 20/20/0/0/30 shatter build. Dom IV is not consistent enough.
Xaylin, according wiki is a 10 sec cooldown. So far, I cannot find a shatter build that I like.
First draft:
I cannot test now but I would say that:
i) With sword AA we should get like 10-12 stacks.
ii) And with staff like 20-25 stacks.
Guess you can summon you phantasms properly and then focusing in getting as much stacks as possible.

I will start theorycrafting how a mesmer can stack vulnerability (I want to compete with engineer -crazy face-) for a PVE dungeon build.

Numbers are more or less ok (unbuffed). But how can you said that’s low DPS? With 3 phantasms and your own attacks… Maybe I just missunderstood your first post.

Phantasms deal low DpS. DpS means damage per second and if an iDuellist attacks every 5(?) seconds with 5k it makes him 1k dps wich is about melee GS aa. Only the iWarlock has a good dps against well condition affected enemies. He comes up to 3k DpS.

Has anyone.made the numbers for those runes(damage wise)? Build would be a phantasm one 0-20-0-25-25 full berserker. I’m having hard time making the jumbers myswlf cause I don’t know how properly count the might stacking and bleedings.
There is a interesting pist that has been deleted in necro forum… you should check it. thing is, what if mantras would affect near allies? I think it would be huge and that would increase more needed build diversity.

No, Lupicus variant is 10/30/0/20/10.
The power vs. precision is irrelevant (although the precision is clearly better). What you care about is the +16% damage you’ll get from the mantras. That’s a pretty massive chunk of damage to be giving up in exchange for 1.3 seconds off your GS clone and 3.2 seconds off the phantasm.

Run in, throw GS clones, swap to sword and make sword clone, shatter. If target isn’t dead, make a Swordsman and auto-attack, it shouldn’t take much longer than that.

Are you taking in account attack speed?
If I recall correctly, nemesis claims that hybrid does 60% the damage of a glass power build single-target wise; an does 60% the damage of a condition build multi-target wise.
For bosses (that means single target) power is the way to go. For trash go conditions.
Hybrid is one solution. The solution I like is to have two sets of gears (rabid and berserker) so with a 30/30/0/0/10 you can go as a condimancer or as a daggermancer just by changing gear and traits on the go. That way your are better in both aspects than with an hybrid build.

I saw it a couple of hours ago. This was the build that I was messing with after IC nerf and after seeing the Nemesis’ glass cannon mesmer post. Actually I’m not big fan of their “meta-builds”. I tend to like more “GK balanced builds” by the way (being 0/20/0/25/25 one of them).
But I stopped playing my mesmer in PVE and leveled a necro (which I’m very comfortable with a 30/30/0/0/10 changing the gear and traits to powernecro o conditionnecro on the run).
Now I want to go back to my old friend mesmer, and trying to find a build that I like (I miss to be able to trait GS when needed).

I’ve tested 10/30/0/30/0 and 0/20/0/25/25 and I find the second much better. Despite all the damage you lose (100 power, 150 precision with sword trait, 10% critical damage and 15% phantasm damage) you even have the same sustained DPS with 0/20/0/25/25, thanks to Phantasmal Haste and illusionists Celerity.

I’m not sure what happen if you compare 0/20/0/25/25 with 10/30/0/20/10 taking compounding power and empowering mantras. Less damage from phantasms and more damage for you.
Although fun to run, it’s only good in PVE open world (and not so much after caltrops nerf).

I agree with Lopez in this one. Also, one thing I like about 30/30/0/0/10 is that you can change your gear and traits on the run in case you end up with another condition guy to avoid being useless or just for a single target situation (I prefer change gear&traits insted of hybrid setup approach).

I know everyone recommends phantasms build for dungeon, but I want to try a shatter one (at least just for fun). Main issue is projectile reflection.
