If I recall properly, Assassins is better on calc if you assume 25 stcks of might.

That’s something I’m really hoping they introduce. There just isn’t a great more elegant looking european type sword. Krytan one is what I usually end up going, aurate’s hilt is just stupid, Imdyreal(sp) has the right idea but so many details are off as well. Currently I use the strait Darksteel/Mithril ones on 2 chars.

And I assume that’s what you mean right? I mean you don’t want just a long 2handed rapier, right? Cause that’d be… well it’d be funny to watch someone try and use that IRL

Warrior is still masterrace for pve, bringing most dps improvement, yet it very boring to play since phalanx is the way to go. A 2nd warrior? Not needed. If there is one, he can go full dps wich is definitly more fun than phalanx.

What? Dps and phalanx rotations are exactly the same. Well, actually phalanx include AS.

@OP: Warriors are lame on organized groups(banners bots basically) and godsend in PuGs.

I agree. The only place where I see a spot for them would be fotm lvl 50 record runs. If that was a thing of course.

Is anyone using this SD build? I am messing a little around with it. On the “mist poor golem test guy” seems quite competitive… even without the new confusion damage (10 stacks with concussion bomb and pyr bar).

FYI, I main engi, any other class just do not have enough damage mitigation for me… And I want to roam with Mesmer but its HARD… How to avoid that spike damages?!?!?

Engi 10K
Necro 8K
Ranger 8K
Thief 11K
Guard 7.5K
Mesmer 7K
These numbers need banners and more importantly 25 stacks of might… Go then and imagine those numbers without might… Eles, engis and warriors are still good cause they can generate those 25 stacks of might for themselves the rest of the classes cannot. So from a PuG prespective warriors are perfectly fine.

I understand and agree that, in organized groups, they are getting worse and worse. But do not forget about PuGs. Warriors (and engis) are godsend here as eles have a hard time in order to survive.

I undusted my thief again and started to pug with him. Might generation has been a problem. Is there anything I can do in order to generate might? Any consumable to get a fire field?

If it is good enough for tagging I will be satisfied. I dont think there is room for any other function beasides a weak ranged bouncing autoattack or blind fire field. Meaning shortbow or torch.

I dont think we get new weapons, so: staff, pistol, scepter, torch, shortbow, focus or dagger.
I also think that we can discard the magic related ones.

So with a good party where people helps blasting firefields…LH.should be included on the rotations, no?

By using it you increase your stats, so I thought the dps should be better…

Last boss in the episode was fun — I enjoyed the need for mobility and the mechanics. Good to see that they’re moving away from the DPS race bosses. As usual, it wasn’t terribly challenging, since it’s part of LS, but a fun fightencounter nevertheless.

I wouldn’t mind going at it again, but c’mon….sitting through an hour or more of clicking through story dialog just to enjoy a 10 minute encounter….I know that counts as “replayable content” to ArenaNet and AP slats, but meh. Not worth it.

As for the trailer….a lot of people are just hyping themselves. Nothing in that trailer supported the idea of an expansion, it just looked like LS3 to me. Possibly a new map, but all it showed was the next part of the story arc.

There is going to be so. much. rage. when PAX flops.

As a necro with no mobility and no stability. I found it a little annoying to light the flame walls. Other than that it was an alright fight.

I actually ended up throwing on my WvW gear and retraiting a bit since I kept getting clobbered while channeling to light the walls (plus DPS wasn’t really needed, so zerk was pointless). I liked having to actually think a bit about my build instead of just rushing in with one of the same 2-3 setups I use for the rest of PvE :P

I just reaaaaally wish some of the new LS encounters weren’t locked behind an hour of map jumping and dialog clicking.

What can I say, I just changed FT and EG for elixir S and tool kit. Same meta build. On engi was a piece of cake.

And I really would like a fractal dedicated to each boss. Dungeon bosses and LS bosses. 1Vs1. It woudnt grant any exp point or loot…maybe some achivments. Great to learn the bosses and potentially epic: a lvl 50 lupi?

Also final boss… I wanted an epic battle. Kitten guys, you spoiled me teaching me lupi.

On Tezza, just dont attack her too much on thr pulling phase. Then be always at melee range. That also goes for engi.

Other than that, zerker eles depnds a lot on the party so…
Ah! Stealing life food. Always use that.

Yeah. Rifle, Bomb kit and FT: Thumps up. Also, EG has a “hundred blade” like skill called “acid bomb” which you should put also in your rotation. EG#5 cleans condition althought not explained on the tool tip. It also gives you a break stunt ability. EG is f**** amazing.

As for a guide, I remember that one from guru. Maybe is no up to date, tho.
