I’ve tried several times to turn in the vinewrath tendril. I get the dialog, but the npc doesn’t take the item or give me one in exchange. Is this bugged, or am I missing something obvious?
I’m wondering if it’s a case of trying to join at the same time a party fills. That seems to be what just happened to me – I tried to join a party that disappeared (first try) and I got the message.
Last night, the event could have been a fun three way brawl. But not when it takes over a minute to pick up a core, and the lag is so bad you can’t fight, and you spend time wondering when your skills finally go off, what the result will be…

Um… Once the scribe had built the schematic and it’s been through the processor, it’s available to slot from storage. Anyone with permissions to do so in the guild can slot it. And if public tactivator use is checked, anyone on your server can trigger it…
I’ve been unable to turn off the action cam in shooting gallery. Can this actually be done?
We haven’t been able to appoint a new squad leader in ages. It’s supposed to work, but the option isn’t on the list…

Solo queue last night. Ended up in a match where everyone else was in teams of some size. My side had a 100 point lead, and halfway through the match a player dc’d. We finished the match 4v5 and lost by a very small amount… Something like 5 points.
And lost a pip.
Ouch.

While banners have counters (hello, gank team), they are absolutely over powered and not fun. And, unfortunately, seem to be most likely to be run by the biggest blob on the map. Even though I have them unlocked, I don’t slot them in an objective unless we start running into them on the other side – but once we run into them, the escalation starts. Mutually assured destruction, anyone?

Why can’t all guildies access the guild buffs? I don’t see what’s special about a karma or xp boost that should require HOT…

Yea. First by typing /squadjoin (name) which worked, and then asking them if they had open join selected.
Thanks. I’ve seen similar problems with some of the squad settings being checked out set but not actually registering until you reset them, so I was curious if this was related.
We suddenly can’t place any decorations in the guild hall. Not capped – I cleared all decorations. I have perms to decorate.
I feel like I’m missing a setting somewhere – any ideas?
Have you checked to see if the commander has open join selected when this happens?
Ran the guild challenge several times tonight – the karka one. Every time, we got to about 1:30 left (it was 1:47 one time, 1:14 another, missed the other timers) and were kicked out of the instance.
The karka carrier was at full health and holding the karka and well within the red circle…
Any ideas?
I’ve done this is multiple places in ds, and the achievement doesn’t trigger. Any idea if this is bugged, or if there is a specific place you need to do it?
Changing the auto upgrades: good.
Cata changes: I honestly don’t care. I think guild siege should cost less than other siege, however.
Rally changes: good.
PPK – I have mixed feelings about this. I want PPK. I want it to be a good measure of skill. But what I think it’s going to do is promote blobbing and AJs even more than what we already see now. (And, gamers being what they are, it’s going to promote a more toxic atmosphere in some instances.)
Let’s throw an example out there: today, if I see an enemy group around my size, I’ll hit them. Win or lose, we have the opportunity for a fun fight. When that fight results in a second group hitting us, doubling the enemy presence, yeah, wish that hadn’t happened, but it did. Brush yourself off at spawn, quick review of what went well and where we need to improve, and move out again.
PPK can change that mentality, depending on how it’s implemented and weighted. From “let’s see what we can do” to “don’t be a free bag”.
Of course, it becomes a good reason to actually build and run turtle banners…
So – mixed feelings on the subject. To me, how it impacts fights and the community is going to be the deciding factor.
Same issue – guild is showing about double our old xp atm. So I’m not risking upgrades until they fix it, or we cap out on aetherium.
I agree with a lot of this, Finality. The new maps have made blobbing far worse than it was. And as for the laser event? I’ve literally said, “break time, folks, we’ll move out again once the slide show is over” when it starts.
Not to mention when I get a call out for swords on a keep, running the hamster maze to find out where the assaulting force is is annoying – you end up splitting off too many people to run the maze and find the assaulting force, and some always get lost trying to get back to tag.
I miss hills.
It’s the combination of the mini games being a) gates to specialization weapons, b) non-mmo type play (fps style, really?), c) gates to mastery points where silver is required to get full mastery for at least some of them and d) time gated on availability that has people so annoyed with them.
For example. I don’t like fps shooters. And I hate the action camera. But I’m willing to work through shooting gallery to get to silver.
However, that means getting in a map with the meta done, at the right time of day, and having a limited amount of time to get my practice in. That alone is the most annoying thing to me about them. If you are going to gate stuff I want behind them, at least give me a chance to play them when I have time…
Are you doing it solo or with a group? I never got credit with a group, but got it first try when I ran it solo.
A couple of guildies and I have just made several fancy chairs. However, they do not show up in guild decorations storage – they give xp for being made, and then disappear.
Anyone have any idea what’s happening to them?
They aren’t placed anywhere – guild storage shows 0 owned, 0 placed.
My issue with them is not just the mastery points and the time gating, but the need for silver for the specialization weapon collections.
I don’t enjoy them in the first place.
But I have to get silver, not just for mastery points, but for specialization weapons. Some are easy, but tendril torchers I always come up one or two short on, and my rng on fallen masks has been horrid. I won’t even bother to try for gold.
I don’t play this game to be forced into mini games. I play it to play the classes I enjoy.
I’ll do these until I get silver, and then I will never, ever, set foot in them again. I’ll be in Wvw or PvP – things I actually enjoy.
Find a WvW guild on your server who is friendly towards new WvWers, ask to learn, and listen to what they have to say.

Yup – Bunter has it correct. wp to the mine, then wp back to the central wp = collapsed workshop. Fixable by relogging to the guild hall or using the central wp again.
Thanks, guys. Trying to reproduce it consistently, but at least relogging seems to fix it.
It also means I can’t find the workshop npc to get to him to trigger additional upgrades.
So… I’m looking at the workshop 2 we finished a couple of days ago.
And… half of it is collapsed.
You can get to the stations, but you have to navigate through collapsed pillars…
The waterfalls are still intact, though…

Looks like the “you are not in a guild” bug with guild chat is back…
It seems more like they just aren’t working to me. Seems to have broken when the waypoints moved from the towers to the keeps.
That way they don’t gotta read em
I wish it didn’t feel that way. But some of the responses I get… I’d have appreciated at least a “we’ll look into it” or “it’s on the known bug list” at least!
I submitted a ticket – camps, towers, and keeps aren’t working for us. Ticket response was to post here and submit bug reports.
Even when we claim a keep, no auras.
Please try it and see what happens?
all of our auras are bugged also – no matter what we claim. they were working until a couple of days ago.
Is anyone else having issues with guild chat? ours is suddenly not working…
I’m sure it’s already reported, but the Avoid Traps achievement is bugged. I was still showing qualified for it at the end of the instance, but never got credit.
A lot of guildies didn’t get their personal rewards when we ran missions last night. We sent in support tickets to see if we could get an answer to the issue, as well as possible get guildies credit for the commendations they missed out on. (Fortunately, we got favor for the runs, at least.)
The responses from support were frustrating. I had one that explained to me how they were sorry I disconnected – which I didn’t. Another that said “please don’t send in support tickets, send in bug reports” – but we were submitting under the “missing item” category, because we were, indeed, missing rewards from events we successfully completed.
After a couple of back and forths with different GM’s, one of them actually explained that this was a known bug and they expected to have a fix out in a couple of days – but what was most interesting was that I sent in the same information for four different missions – and got four completely different responses from support. The only real difference was which mission I didn’t get rewards for. Some consistency would have been nice.
We also ran into the inability to transform at the end bug on both quaggan and wolf runs – at one point, we literally had a string of quaggans circling around the final portal to swim back through and try to get credit for completion. And yes, those folks had made all the previous portals. They had the orange end flag on their minimaps.
Also, in the maze, losing the minimap was painful. Be nice to be able to see it again!
I get to the point, and it says I’ve already earned the HP from it – but it’s on the map as incomplete and in the map legend as the only one I’m missing.
