I’m failing to see why thieves are a problem. The ones who can blow you up in one hit I can see myself having problems with if I’m not on my toes and see the fight actually start, but that’s a cross-class problem, not specific to thieves.

That’s not true, it says 98% on my map now that the patch is up and I had 100% on it before the patch. The new POI is currently unattainable it looks like.

My main concern is the other POI that seems to just be "missing."

If you got world completion nobody is getting it off you.
This is how the world completion title is being tracked.

The world completion title is being tracked by map completion. Whenever you complete a map the title tracker will mark that as done (and a special completed icon will apear on the map loading screen. If after completing that specifick map a new poi is added you keep that special icon and it will stay marked as completed for the title.
When you have all needed maps completed with that special icon you will get the final reward.

the confusing part is the tracker on the world map. He is tracking all poi’s (and other things) but it has technicly nothing to do with the title, use it as an indication what you need.

As far as I can tell, this is incorrect. I /had/ Gendarran Fields completed until the new PoI dropped. Now I’m missing one and the completed status on the map has been stripped off my toon. Strangely though, I do still have Krytan Explorer completed.

As a player who has carried over old traditions from other MMOs (Wow, names aren’t important, don’t make me Rift my keyboard explaining silly details. It’s not like a final fantasy of mine) I have a system set up for myself that if I have a numerical set of abilities (i.e. 1-0 all do something) the ones I can’t reach get re-binded to ctrl+1-5, alt+1-5, shift+1-5, etc. etc. Ctrl-clicking on a target automatically promotes this to being a target, which I do not want. This is not only problematic in hectic fractals (cliffside, volcanic) but it throws off the synergy of the team (maw, snowblind) and can even wipe parties (untargeted the commander in WvW)

Basically, when I’m doing my normal thing, I risk accidentally changing/marking a target I did not intend to. I’d like for this to stop.

Sounds like you just don’t want to run around the map.

From what I have seen around the boards, anytime you start playing with macros you might be ridding a thin line. If you want an absolute answer as opposed to answers like mine or others that are based on things seen and heard then I suggest you contact support. This serves two key purposes. I know ArenaNet’s stance on Macros is generally "If it does more than one action per keypress it’s frowned upon", essentially. But, for those of us who spend like, ~400k karma at a time on lockboxes, would making a doubleclick-spam macro be something that would get me in trouble?

The macro I have tested just to see if it works (and have not used since) requires me to not only hold my mouse over the item (because all it does is spam left click) but also requires me to hold down the button with the clicks attached. I cannot use it to automate anything to the point I can get up. Functionally, and literally, it’s no different than my doubleclicking myself, I’m just moving the doubleclick function to a button.

Huh? Ok, first of all, 300 is an unreasonable goal. It’s like the dragon wings. All it proves is that someone spent every waking moment standing at one of those holo projectors for days, not doing anything else either in the game or in real life. Or they foolishly spent real money on virtual goods.
I stood at a holo for one solid day, until I could not stand it another second. I’m up to 33%. I’ll never make it. 300 is too high a number. It’s beyond enjoying a little Dragon Bash fun. The dragon wings are worse. But my point is, if you want to blame anyone for sucking the fun out of it, blame the game, not the players. Bashing a few dragon pinatas is festive. Killing hundreds of holos is tedious and mind-numbing.
Second, since I’ve yet to see ANY players at any holo I’ve stood at, so how is this, “anti-community?” The game has died down considerably over the last few months so you better learn to to play alone if you want to survive. For that matter, there are plenty of projectors in the game. Go find another one full of players if that’s your thing. Personally, I am a single player and think other people spoil MY game which is why I do all the mission alone. All the events alone. All the holos alone. If something is too crowded, I go somewhere else or come back later. I sure don’t accuse other people of being anti anything. GW2 is big enough for everyone to play any way they want and none of us have any business criticizing other people for how they decide to spend their money, whether they enjoy a single-player or multi-player experience.

I stopped reading when I realized you mentioned you stood at one projector.

Can I ask why you did something so dreadfully boring? I did the achievement in about 2 hours total, if that, running in a path. Got some nice loot for it, too.

Custom fonts in-game!

That’s right, custom fonts. I am requesting we be allowed to use custom fonts for most, if not all, sections of text display because some fonts are harder to read than others. As someone who shows symptoms of dyslexia (I was never diagnosed) I find that a very specific font I have found on the intertubes does in fact curb the vast majority of the problem I have when reading printed text. I would LOVE it if I could use the font I have discovered in-game and make reading easier on myself, and possibly others.

If custom fonts is out of the question, could we at least have the option to toggle a dyslexic mode? The font I have found is called OpenDyslexic, and it is open-sourced, so it should be much less of a hassle than most other fonts for the developers to make an official part of the game.

By the way, I took the liberty of taking a screenshot so you may see what the font looks like, so if nothing else, someone reading this thread benefits from a preview for their own use.

I honestly wasn’t sure where to post this, so here we go.

Is it at all possible to use custom fonts within the game? I don’t have much of a problem with actually reading normal fonts, but when I found a dyslexia-friendly font and I swapped to that full-time for my general browsing habits, I realized that pretty much all the little mistakes I make with reading out loud and in my head straight up vanished, and my typos dramatically dropped off as well.

Prolly the 1st 2 servers to just come out an admit it. Problem is AR is pretty much giving away any chances at 2nd place and if they keep it up will move down a tier eventually.

Anet said they were going to give them Reveal when exiting stealth, Decided that was to much for the poor thieves in this game…So they upped the Reveal to 4 seconds..

Then a patch later they changed it back to 3 seconds while leaving it at 4 in SPvP because they somehow think WvW and SPvP is different in how Thieves are…(where Thieves are way way better in WVW then SPvP)

120 million in revenue is a flat number. Since there’s no pay-to-play setup like there is on WoW, they don’t have the money coming in to just spend on things. They have to prioritize and hope people give them money back through the purchase of gems and expansions.

Simply answer: Yes it is spam.

Why is it spam? All the giveaway person has to do is ask people to spam whisper them these magical numbers and no one else would be inconvenienced by 100 numbers spamming across the screen. The fact that the giveaway person whats these number in map chat makes it far more likely they are just trolling and I find it dubious they actually give away anything

This was my logic on why it’s spam, and thank you for responding reasonably instead of aggressively.

I am however, going to keep this thread alive until I get an answer from an official source.

Your misinformed on what spam is. Remember, GW has a spam filter in place. If someone meets the spam defintion, it would of triggered. If not, your being oversensitive than Anets own filter, which makes no sense. If he incites them to spam, the filter would kick in when they meet Anets legal definition of Spam. If he somehow tells them an exploit to bypass the Spam filter to Spam, you have a case.

We’re both right on what spam is, just one of them is not controlled by the filter.

let’s……. pause and analyze here. someone is doing a giveaway. meaning, they’re taking something that they have, and giving it to people. apparently in the form of a contest. i.e. they’re being generous. for there to be 20+ people, what they’re giving away has to be pretty nice, since there’s that many responses. i’d wager something along the lines of a precursor, or perhaps even a legendary itself. i.e. they’re being VERY generous.

now, let’s look at the other part of this. you said this is happening on servers that you’re guesting to. let me repeat that. this is happening on servers that YOU are GUESTING to. meaning, you’re a guest on their server. do you make a habit of going into your neighbor’s house and telling them where they should put their sofa?

so, let’s put this things together, and this situation is that a guest is coming in and trying to get someone into trouble for being generous…… because 20+ people are typing numbers into map chat to try to win some form of contest. quite frankly man, you’re being a killjoy in someone else’s backyard. and…… if you’re really expecting there to be anything of value in map chat, you’re going to be disappointed whether there’s a contest going on or not.

As a commander who does borderline spam chat, I have to disagree, because spam is spam, doesn’t matter how you cook it.

Can we please have the option to hide/disable quests from showing up on the UI? I am not interested in perusing the Flame and Frost event, and usually I can pass over the stuff I don’t want to see (such as story quests) because they have transparent background.

This one sticks out like a tourist in Russia.

So when the Charr back pieces first went up on the Gem store, I was thrilled and immediately bought a few. Being the blonde I am, I put it on a Tome of the Rubicon that’s NOT infused, just purple.

If I infuse it because now I’m considering it, will I lose the skin?
