There have been rumors that they are releasing it (said rumors mentioned they were updating animation). No confirmation. As to why anet didn’t bother to release this awesome weapon (Possibly the most wanted of these weapons other than pistol) and give us the fugly sword instead…. I have no idea.

is it one or 2 seconds depending on your condition duration or can you get fractions of a second?
Just so you know, daze is not a condition and is not affected by condition duration.

I’m using the 20/20/30 setup and I can say I’m not use to being this tanky, but I really like PU. Anyways, I do decent dmg but I’m running a mix of and I’m running with Berserker/Knights/Cavalier’s gear.
I have (around):
Power: 2100
Crit chance: 48%
Crit dmg: 60%
Armor: 2700
It’s really not that shabby.
I have Sup Of Bloodlust on GS, and Might on Switch/+5% crit chance on my Sword/Torch.
This is excluding the boosts from maintenance oils, foods and, sigil stacks.
Definitely one of my favorite builds now for WvW ;D

I’m guessing that they are built for boon duration then. Put simply, unless you spec into boon duration you aren’t going to get that high of a duration. MI alone can grant you up to 18 seconds of protection (very large amount of RNG, you could possibly get none…)
Specing for the +110% boon duration (Runes – 40%, Trait line- 30%, and Boon food – 40%) could very easily grant over 30 seconds of regen, protection, or aegis.

Considering I have 6 characters all lv 80 and tired of running fractals.. (I have completed over 500 fractals..) I’m OPEN to the idea of just being able to craft the existing rings and not have to run fractals again… A new way to get amulets and necklace isn’t bad either.
Yes, I believe you can. The precursors are weird in that their names won’t change when you apply a different sigil.
You definitely can apply any rune on a masterwork mask as long as it is a high enough level.. lol
To my knowledge, any item you modify will not be able to be sold on the TP. It has been like this since… forever? No reason to get terribly upset. I have done it multiple times on accident though I didn’t come to the forums to complain to anet about it.
I like how he walked into the marks, instead of dodge rolling through them rendering them 4 absolutely wasted CDs (I love doing that to Necros).
dodge rolling through them does nothing u still get hit with it, its even unblockable if traited

I’ve gotten a precursor from a keep lord since it seems they drop them more frequently.
Perma-stealthed thieves cannot do direct damage or they lose stealth. I fail to understand why everyone gets so upset about them.
Anyways, if you really want to be aggressive you can’t prevent a thief from perma-stealthing by standing in their blind field. Sounds stupid but if they hit you when they are trying to build up stealth they will get the revealed buff.
strangely, rocket boots are affected by super speed. You go alot farther i noticed.
Saw this happen a few times on my server. A guardian said he was able to glitch into the keep by using one of his hammer skills on the door. He was able to do it multiple in a row without a problem.
Every run I’ve done in CoF there seems to be problems with inviting and joining dungeon instances. Sometimes we try to kick someone (because the dialogue box won’t show up to enter) and when we try to kick it says “Network Error” even after they leave themselves. Yesterday someone joined our party even though it appeared we already had a full party. So the one party member didn’t even show up in our party yet he was in our instance and had a green name instead of the normal blue (picture below). It’s to the point that my groups have disbanded and just gave up because of how frustrating it was to get everyone into the dungeon.
no… that sounds like it’s out of range. I used in the swamp fractal a couple times and that map is pretty small. Yet, I still manage to sometimes exceed the range limit.
Dear Anet, can you like… give us a notification when we are out of range? You do for every other skill. Thanks.
I’ve posted before about this and I’m not sure all Mesmers realize is that the leap skill summons a clone the instant you use the skill and it has a very small range (says 600 but I think it’s smaller). On the other hand, other skills like the iberserker you can precast it before your in range because it summons the phantasm after the skill activation is complete. Why is it like this? I don’t know, but I’m used to precasting my clones/phantasms and the leap clone doesn’t allow me to do it.
If you run the same path on a different character within an hour of completing it, you will only get 30 tokens. If you wait the full hr, you can still earn 60 tokens on a different character.
EDIT: No problem, Psybunny.8906 stated it was 2 hours, I thought it was 1. So you may have to see which is correct.

Same problem here, constant disconnects for certain periods. Today I disconnected about 6-7 times. Never had ANY disconnects before, not until recently around the end of December. I get error code:
7:11:3:189:101
Frustrating!
This is weird, I’ve never gotten this problem/error before, just started recently (sometime around the end of December). There are periods where I’m ok, other times I can connect for maybe 5 mins and then get the same error. (I try to connect at least 8-10 times in an hr and get disconnected each time) Still have internet access even though it says I “disconnected”. Trying to deal with it but very frustrating, especially in WvW when I’m in combat and I get disconnected.. so I get broken armor……

These kits allow you to be invisible to mobs for 10 secs while you stand still! They are available from a vendor in an early zone for only 28 karma a piece. It will make your life A LOT easier (Especially in Orr where the monsters hover over the capture points….)

They work in PvE/WvW, I would use the Sigil of Para. I think the way it works is that it rounds up, so if you add 25% increase stun duration to a 2 sec duration it will be 3 seconds. (I use it already in WvW, confirmed to worked.) I don’t think they stack together though.
It’s pretty hard to use when you’re not a flat surface. It seems to have a shorter range than 600, the clone is summoned as soon as you use the skill instead of the other summoning skills that wait until skill activation, (so you can’t pre-cast and then run into range while it’s still activating) the skill won’t work if your standing on top, or if you aren’t facing your opponent (it will appear to do nothing but still go on recharge), and won’t even hit it’s target if the ground is even slightly slanted. It all adds up to a pretty pitiful skill that only works half the time.
I didn’t even see an increase. I see it hitting now that’s about it. It’s still doing less damage than it did before last month’s patch. They are probably just going to leave like it is imo.
Well you will lose stealth anytime you deal direct damage. So even if you use a chaos storm before you stealth, it will still unstealth you if the enemy gets hit. Can be very annoying!
Curious in trying out this trait for fun. Does anyone have the numbers regarding the boon durations? Same for all 3 boons or different? Also, has anyone had any luck using it?

I actually have teleported into a wall in WvW that was ours, but was later capped by the enemy. I was able to kill people inside the wall…. it was quite funny. They couldn’t hit me for about 20+ mins. Then a engineer popped his flamethower out and downed me lol
Also it has been stated by a dev, but I will re-state it. The delay has been there since beta and I know this because I used to ask myself why it would delay. Maybe the update made it more obvious to you because people posted about it, but the rampage was started by one mad kid and was fed to the angry Mesmers to become a mob. There is no additional delay to phantasms.
I noticed the delay before coming to these boards. The thing is the delay wasn’t there when phantasms had one of their 2 boon traits. They attacked almost instantly and there’s many videos that can prove this. I would gladly show you if you need evidence that the iberzerker had what appeared to be no delay at all. They are upset now because anet “fixed” the boon traits for phantasms and now phantasms begin slower regardless of traits. Was it a bug perhaps? Probably. But I believe the iBerserker should be changed to .25 secs. It’s easy enough to dodge/ block already because the skill animation is so easy to see. Giving the opponent an additional 1+ sec to avoid is just ridiculous.
So studying it here empirically we think berserker is just missing and not less damage, but that duelist was actually impacted by the “bladetrail” bug fix. I will try and up the duelist damage and I will try and track down why berserker is not always hitting.
Yes, exactly. Here is a video on youtube showing iBerserker before patches. It hits 4 times and stacks 4 bleeds, attacks almost instantly, and does over 4k with crits. (At 17 seconds in)
yea iBerserker is so unreliable now. I rarely see it hit more than 1-2 times, assuming it actually does hit which is fairly common now. In WvW, it seems like it never hits… unless im using it on a gate or something that doesn’t move lol.
Wouldn’t it be fun if we made every skill have a 1-2 sec pause before doing anything? I think so.
A lot of stealth builds will be using D/D for backstabs. I run a 10/30/30 because I hate running full glass cannon. If you like stealth, I suggest dipping into shadow arts for “Meld with Shadows” which increases stealth duration by one second. I run 30 in shadow arts for “Shadow’s Rejuvenation” because the healing is great especially when you couple it with Shadow Refuge! Love this build so far, I rarely die as a thief in WvW unless I’m unaware and get ganged up on.
haha yea mesmers got a serious nerf. Blinding prevents phantams from being summoned… that makes since phantams are an attack… oh wait… nvm
No. You create illusions based on the 3 available illusion slots you have. Once the slots are occupied by either a clone or a phantasm if you should create more you destroy the 1st one that was made to make room for the next one, while bumping the others to the front of the line for replacement.
If you don’t want to replace your phantasms, then don’t. It is exceedingly easy to keep up 3 phantasms without replacing them with a clone. If you feel you need a stun break, then use one that doesn’t create a clone on use. The power is in your finger tips.
While what you say is mostly true, there are skills that are very useful but create clones. i.e Mirror Blade. Very short recharge (esp. with greatsword trait) and excellent dmg if you can get the bounce to hit target more than once… but it will create a clone and that is not always wanted.
before you complain about guardians on the Southsun Cove: I had much less trouble there with my lvl 18 upscaled guardian than with my lvl 80 exotic equipped elementalist.
This is the kind of comment that leads me to believe there is something…not quite right about the scaling system. It’s had my attention for awhile, but I haven’t really discussed it yet. I have a guardian and a ranger at 80 and I have noticed on both that in some areas at certain level scales, they felt weaker at 80 in full exotics than they were when they were the appropriate level wearing the appropriate gear.
That’s because it isn’t good. If you want to be god roll into WvW with a lv 5 char and go to a fort that has buff stat bonus. You will get INSANE stats. I had 3300 in EVERY stat. lol I had over like 31,000 hp on a guardian.

First off, if you were smart enough to use distortion (which seems like half this thread doesn’t know enough to use it) you should know enough not to stand still while you have distortion up. MOVE AWAY. Obviously you know he’s there. He’s aiming to backstab. I don’t understand why that’s so hard to understand.

I really like the idea of launch with it. It would fit the animation that’s for sure. I still use it to strip boons, but otherwise not so much.
Well I didn’t encounter the keys noise, but I noticed earlier today about an hr or 2 before the update, that a group of wargs sound effects changed. They had a weird hoof footstep sound that was annoying loud. I then left the area and found another group of wargs but they didn’t have the same footstep sounds. very odd.
