Umm, what are you talking about?
It was pretty funny, but the original thread was moved here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/creations/docgotgame-bans-Colin-Johanson-on-stream
DX11 is for Windows 8 and above, Direct3D is a version that works on Windows 7 but its not the same.
It would not be a reasonable compromise. Imagine the kittenstorm when Vista and Windows 7 users come to the forum complaining how they bought the game for the published requirements and now suddenly cant play it so that those 10 guys complaining can notice a difference.
None of you seem to understand a thing about how DirectX works nor how to run a business.
This is wrong.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DirectX#DirectX_11
Direct3D falls under the DirectX header. DirectX 11 is supported by Vista and newer Windows operating systems. It also includes options to allow some DX11 options to be run on DX 9-10.1 hardware; such as multi-threaded resource handling.
Whether or not this makes business sense is another thing.
Tho it rather grinds my gears(!) that 12:01 am is being used to refer to 1 minute after midnight, just say 00:01am , it’s clear AND unambiguous :P
They used 12:01 am, because they are a US based company, and that’s how we present time here. They also gave a reference to 07:00 UTC, which should be unambiguous to begin with.
Two. One won’t show up right away, it should show up Tomorrow.
Jokes on you guys, I am already on the Underwater Xpack with Steve (that’s his real name) and am LOVING IT.
What? With Steve The Shark?
Man, I KNEW there was something fishy about that guy.
It’s Scuba Steve.
You do know the order is fixed and everything is jumbled together in one line, right? No picking and choosing, if the trait you want is after a skin you are basically puppied.
I see what you did there…
Yeah, my bank character has over 100 stacks dragonite ore with the last stack not completely full. Now if I use Princess the first stack will be used and (if Princess only eats 4 times) remain at 50 items. To merge the first stack with the last one I have to klick compact more than 100 times.
Yeah, that’s how they work. Princess will use the first stack, and compact will merge the first stack and the second, and so on. Next time just move the last stack to the first stack and use Princess.
That was funny.
Colin Johanson, getting no respect since GW1.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for people who just don’t pay attention. “Unique” means “one of a kind”. If people have questions about what that means, logic dictates finding out before buying.
To the original poster, I suggest just sucking it up. You made a mistake, and that mistake was preventable. Learn from it and grow.
Or don’t. Whatever. I’m not your parole officer. -Sid
Because ‘unique’ in the real world…
Please guys and gals, don’t feed the trolls.
YES!! Hurry and do it before Thursday night at midnight!
Right, and I know I usually have 1 Orichalcum ore, and 5 Dust.
I’m not going to argue the math. You are completely right, if you buy the parts besides the Philosopher’s stones you might break even.
I do this on a regular basis, but I use materials that I already have on hand.
loss from promoting extra mats you have laying around? I find that hard to believe.
If you buy the mithril and then try to promote it, you will lose money for sure.
the other thing you can do is take the extra Mithril and Elder wood and promote them in the Mystic Forge.
See I have zero crashes with GW2. I built an AMD setup with a 270X 4G. I’ve never had a memory crash or crashes during WB battles. So saying that, “It’s GW2” is a cop out. My previous system with 2 Crossfired 5770s and a Phenom II never had crashing issues either. There is something else going on.
Well i have a hypothesis and this may allow us to figure out what happened to Saul D’Alessio.
Maybe Saul found this city of Tarir and mistakened the Exalted as the Mursaat. He went back to kryta tell the story of the golden city of Tarir and the Exalted. After that returned to the Maguuma and as the lore stated he was unable to find the city again but he did find the Mursaat. However, since both the Exalted had strong magical powers and both can fly Saul may have mistaken the Mursaat to be the Exalted believing the Mursaat were another form of Exalted.
Using Saul’s misunderstanding the Mursaat pretended to be the Exalted. This may also explain why Saul may have been taken away since Saul knows the location of the Exalted which serves Glint and the Mursaat were after all fighting against Glint’s flameseeker prophecies.
This makes sense.
Another way they could do it is: They mentioned in their post that these exalted went dormant after the city was constructed to conserve their magic. Since this was 300 years ago and not 250 years approx, this could very well be the golden city that did inhabit the Mursaat at a time.
I think that maybe given the construction of this city and training these exalted, give it 10-20 years. If they achieved the state of their city and are deemed prepared, they go into slumber. During the time of the next 30 years, the Mursaat may have enhabited this city for a short while either travelling or escaping from their initial war with the seers(their inital city could have been destroyed). The seers were next to extinction, but I can’t remember if we ever learnt how much damage was done to the Mursaat side.
I like to think that rata sum and its anagram for mursaat may have more meaning from the first game. If it’s so, the initial rata sum which was quickly erected maybe using mursaat buildings or technology as a base would be quicker than to create something anew (when asura were running from destroyers underground). My point being is that maybe the golden city was never the Mursaats to begin with but since they may have lost their initial city, may have been trying to find a place to belong.
They find this uninhabited golden city with dormant pieces of armour lying around and chose to stay there for awhile; Saul D’Alessio comes by afterwards then they decide they can try expanding their influence over the human race as a stepping stone from the golden city as a base. They then use the armours as a base for the jade bows and armours (The armours do have 6 eyes like the margonites though so unsure about it) and use them in the flameseeker prophecies.
As the War in Kryta was terminating, their plan backfired. With the winning side of the war, the Shining Blade were very adept in jungle travel and could have tracked the Mursaat to the golden city which may have forced them to move elsewhere (afterall, the White Mantle and Shining Blade have been at a cold war ever since); maybe deeper into the jungle with the white mantle and possibly show up in raids. XD
This.
Take a look at the shape of the buildings and whatnot from Tarir. Does this or does this not remind anyone of the White Mantle Emblem?
Have you put in a support ticket from the Support link at the top of this page?
Although it sounds like something on your end… I know you said that everything is working and looks fine, but in order to test it out try taking your computer somewhere where you can use a different internet connection. If you have the same problem, you can rule out your router/internet connection.
Geodes from Princess give you the item. Geodes from everywhere else goes directly to the wallet.
Hmm, interesting. You’re probably right as I didn’t really pay attention as to where they came from. I just assumed that they came from the sand. I didn’t know Princess could give Geodes.
Ok, well the one double click won’t kill me. But I figured I’d see if it was just slid in the last patch without being noted. Maybe I’m a rare case and I can just keep it in my inventory forever.
See picture below. I just got a Geode from some silky sand that I got from my Found Bandit Chest. Since the introduction of the wallet, they have just gone directly into there. Until today.
Working as intended, or bug? Discuss!
It won’t start until the stated start time.
I have never misclicked and hit the Compact menu item when I am depositing materials.
Specifically the time gating? I’m one of the many that wasn’t interested in Fractals but is interested in Raids. I have Ascended weapons and Trinkets but never saw a need for the armor.
Now I’m trying to get ready for raids but have to wonder why the totally arbitrary crafting cooldowns still exist?
Additionally it’d be nice if someone looked at the absurd price of light armor compared to the other sets.
This is why I have been using my silk to craft spools of silk weaving thread whenever I have 100 bolts. And crafting lumps of mithrilium, elder spirit residue, and Elonian cord until I had a few stashed away. Even if I don’t use them in the future for my alts, I can consider them an investment, since their prices (once crafted into the tradeable variant) have gone down very little.
Making these items once a day is no big deal if you plan ahead and think about what you may want to do in the future.
Ok, maybe I’m missing something but, what are you talking about?
Honestly, ANet never gives a specific time for patches/updates because, often times, they are working on them up until the last minute.
Change them to beggars. When you F them you lose 1 Silver to them.
Sounds good to me. Personally, I just run to the side of the TP/Bank NPCs and have no problem.
I learned my lesson after talking to the walking NPCs once or twice. It’s not as big of a deal as people make it…
Maybe if SAB comes back. But that won’t be for a while after the expansion.
Threads like this one make me laugh. Just because you haven’t seen it, it doesn’t exist or it’s been rigged/nerfed, and you want it fixed (to your liking).
I only have 181% magic find and I get rares all the time from champ bags (esp silverwastes). I have received three or four exotics in the past week and a half to two weeks. And I was running events in Orr this weekend and someone in my party got a Black Lion Chest Key as a drop from a mob.
My thoughts are that you may need to change up your game a little. Change where you farm for your loot. I hadn’t run in Orr since probably the first year of the game, and I forgot how good the loot was (granted the loot/events there have been openly nerfed over the years).
Can’t you turn down the amount of player names that show?
You can consome 1 stack each/day. I agree it takes time until you convert all stacks after you gained the converters.
Not entirely true. As OP said they consume 3-6 stacks of 50 per day. Not a whole stack. I’ve had days where they may only consume 3 or 4 stacks of 50 a few days in a row.
But how on earth are you generating each day more than 1 stack??? Even during 4h SW chest farm or 5h world bosses I only get close to 250/day.
Running in the SW you can get way more than one full stack of 250 in a few hours a day. If you hit a chest farm, you can get a full stack of Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone Dust in no time.
My problems stem from time. … The end result, if the only things you have left to do in the game is craft ascended it’s not accessible right now unless you’ve got 4 hours to dump into the game consistently every night. End of story.
TL;DR
I skimmed this post and have read most of the other posts in this thread. I think OP needs to join a guild where he can get help in learning how to play the game. By no means do you have to pay to win, or spend 6 hours a day to get ascended…
correct, and if you look at the previous version it does have the recipe for the MF. So my guess would be no.
(edit…I just looked myself)
I don’t know, never tried it. What does the wiki say?
1. yes
2. what do you mean by, “upgraded”?
Please no.
We have enough emote spam in chat already. Having emotes bound to a single keystroke would only make it worse.
There are usually more event maps than chest farming ones. Use the LFG.
This.
You can get dropped into a chest farm map every now and then, but in order for a chest farm to exist people need the Silverwastes Shovels. In order to get shovels, you need to complete events. So the people in the chest farm map have to complete events in other maps and get shovels there.
If you are in a chest farm map and don’t want to be, simply look in in the LFG tool (press Y), and go to Open World events. You should see advertisements labeled something like, “SW50%”, “SW 4/4”, “VW”, or similar. Joining a party from here will allow you to right click on a party member’s icon on the left of your screen and select, “Join in The Silverwastes”, and this will take you to the map that they are in.
What aura? Do you mean the footfalls (foot steps)?
I would imagine that the legendary in the main hand would take precedence.
They need to devise a mechanic, something to get really excited for, and something I can only do at lv80 that I really want to do between clearing old maps, jumping around stuff, and doing the same pvp ive been doing all game.
This is raids.
While we are all pleased to have received the blooms associated with our efforts in repelling the mordrem on Friday, although, the rewards are incomplete as the daily chests that go along with clearing each of the zones that day were not awarded.
Myself having received 90 blooms for 3 zones should have also received 3 crates. Will this be rectified?
Good question, are we still in a holding pattern waiting for the chests or are we not going to get them?
prepared that one aswell in case the reveal is pleasing
Funny stuff.
yes…YES…YEEEES! FINALLY! Waited since the HoT trailer for this moment!
Ha! That pic is great.
Boom
and ha, Druid is last.
Don’t forget about the Magic Find account buff that you can raise by salvaging and consuming the essence of luck that has a chance of dropping.
Craft it again. I had a similar problem with a whole set of armor from Orr that I got rid of before the wardrobe. I’ll just have to buy it again if I want it.
I thought they did remove HoM because of hackers. I thought (for months now) that none of us can get in there, or is that just on the GW1 side?
This was restored in a fairly recent patch here in GW2. I have been back to the HoM and have retrieved my new rewards that I had earned since it was shut down.
In before mod locks this thread.
Or use the drop down menu in the crafting panel to filter what recipes you see…
The racist Charr near him constantly whining about Sylvari and Skritt makes it even worse. Wish I could stab him in the neck.
Except he’s not talking about Skritt. In GW1 EotN you have to work with a Charr and he calls Gwen, “Mouse”. I think he’s referring more to Humans than Skritt.
True the Charr have called Gwen a mouse, but the Charr in question here specifically says “talking mice”. He’s referring to the Skritt.
You may want to listen to him again. He says, “Talking cabbage.” Not talking mice.
