rebalancing is common and most of all necessary in mmorpg. Get used to it or look for another type of game. this will always happen and only warrant for a compensation in the most extreme cases.

So is it fine, if anet would decide to rebalance pvt set and make it into rampage instead? I understand rebalancing, when hey tweak numbers and change skills. Its fine. But when they totally change purpose of a hard-to-craft gear > it is not normal.

You just sounding condescending and still completely ignored all the points that I made about how whack it is to compare Celestial gear to PVT. At least, it’s a great time to be full zerker so that turned out pretty nice for all of us after all

Point in celestial was getting an halfway ground between PvT and Zerker

The moment you fall back from PVT and yet have less defence the equipment you choose becomes unviable for your build and purpose.

PVT is extremely significant in the comparison since it MAXES power.
While the balanced DPS from celestial came multiplying an extremely high crit damage to a really low POWER.

Result was infact slightly more than PVT but could be pushed to the desired midground mixing with other stats in other slots.

If you consider how many dps checks are in this game you can see why people needed a minimum dps.

(example Healing signet, or brst before stealth or stuff like that).

It ‘was always average’ based on your comparison to PVT? I’ve already read the link long, long ago when it was originally being discussed. How do you think I knew already that they didn’t account for the proc rate of sigils, runes, and traits? How did I know the left condition damage and healing power out of their ‘offense/defense’ calculations? How did I know they didn’t take into account that these things synergize and stack multiplicatively? Yes, they left these things out because they can’t be tested and are situational which was my whole point in the first place. Recommending, “It’s lose-lose. Just stick with PVT.”, based on reading some out of context math is ridiculous in this scenario. We can consider might stacking with Sigils/Runes of Strength on that Celestial gear, not to mention, the bleed procs, the vuln procs, the initiative gain procs, the vigor procs, the cripple procs, etc etc etc. Those comparisons leave ALL of this ‘offense/defense’ out of the comparison and try to make a blanket statement about two completely different sets of gear and then completely disregards the dynamics of one of them. Sure it seemed swell in an equation, but real experience in the game has a LOT more to it than just a couple corny stat comparisons followed by sweeping assertions. GG.

Ok. Let me make it more clear to u. Before. Some people was betting on this 4 stats + crit, when they choose to use celestial. And it was viable with this choices. Now. Yes. This set might be viable in some cases. But it is not viable anymore for people who care only about this 4 stats+ crit. Do you undestand this much at least? This is another set now. With its own drawbacks and benefits. But not the one we made.

Why would I do that. You’re the one that posted stats of how miserable it is compared to pvt without specifying where you were even making these considerations in the first place. Being snide doesn’t make my other points go away. Celestial gonna be better in most builds anywhere, from a ‘offensive/defensive’ PoV, simply due to the synergy and multiplicative stacking of it’s stats.

Wrong. Celestial gonna be worse, than something else in any situation possible. If your char isnt ele. Its damage is to low. Its defense is to low. If u would read link, that I posted. And would read posts in This topic. Celestial dmg always was average. And now. When crit dmg of celestial was nerfed by half…. It is now below average. And this is not good.

And it is obviously meant to be used that way. That has nothing to do with the fact that the other stats/sigil, rune, and trait price were never considered in either calculation. And now this doesn’t have to be a hybrid build for celestial to be better. It will be better in a lot of builds simply for the facts I mentioned above. Applying conditions, regen, and boons are passive effects of most builds and healing is pretty much a must, so I don’t know why you think you have to be dedicated to celestial for it to be better. Toughness and healing power have a lot of synergy. Precision has synergy with Ferocity, runes, sigils, and traits. Then the condition damage has synergy with the synergy of the precision. In PvP/wvw the meta is different, but in pve, celestial has 4-5 useful stats and pvt has 1. That’s the end of the comparison

If u want to compare it to pve…then go compare it to rampage. Wow. So much loss. Very sad. Doge celestial

I also don’t see the complaints about celestial. Yeah, celestial lost a good amount of crit damage, but it gained some of everything else. More power, more precision. Has anyone even done the math to see whether the changes to celestial gear has resulted in a net increase or decrease in damage?

They did. In the past, comparing celestial to soldier, it was 5% more dmg, than soldier, but 20% less defense, than soldier.

Now it is 5% less dmg than soldier and 15% less defense than soldier. So yeah… Its a lose-lose… better to just pick soldier.

I would like to know how these “damage and defense” percentages were arrived at in the first place? How did they factor in the extra condition damage of celestial? How did they factor in the higher proc rate of ‘on crit’ sigils, runes, and traits. How did they factor in the extra healing power? As a base, stat-to-stat comparison, you might right on the money. However, when you consider the synergy of the stats on celestial and the things they can do that PVT can’t, I’m sure you’ll find those percentage gaps quickly closing and may even going the other way.

They counted only power, prec, toughens and vit. Before. If u only need this 4 stats. It was ok to take celestial over soldier. Now. The choice is opposite. Before. If u need 4 stats of 7 > It was ok to take celestial. Now… U have to be a hybrid with as much condi dmg as u have power dmg for this set to be viable.

As was stated many times, problem rises, when u look on NonZerker gear. My celestial lost alot of dmg. It was offensive gear in the past. Not it is defensive gear. Mind you, it is fully equipped with expensive infusions. And now all of this is lost. Its almost a 1k gold setback. Maybe more. I fear to even start counting my losses. So yeah…

When you look at non-zerker gear, you run into a problem. Not every stat set uses critical damage. If an armor set does not have critical damage in it, it’s completely unaffected and does the same damage post patch as it did pre patch.

I dont get you. You do realize, that celestial gear uses crit dmg? It had as high crit dmg as zerk gear. And now it has it less, than zerk gear.

It is not that hard to understand, SOLDIERS armor is “nonzerker,” and does not use, or have, crit damage. It’s unaffected. RABID, CARRION, and several others do not use critical damage either. None of those sets are affected. Next time dont say “nonzerker gear” because it’s going to be wrong immediately, because you’re referring to sets that specifically have critical damage as one of the three stats.

Are u feeling Ok? It feels like u hurt by something. Maybe you should try some yoga. Might help. It was obvious from the context, that I was talking about NonZerker gear with ferocity . And even talked about my celestial as example. Some people…

When fighting mesmers, thieves, eles, or anyone with a blink or long-ranged dash, the map feels enormous.

There are so many places to shadowstep and blink to. The warrior’s greatsword Rush traverses across the entire map literally. At that point, players can escape really easily by weaving through the maze of little tunnels and turns.

Death match arena should be bigger than old ones. Not smaller. Id say, arena of such size could only be suited for a 1v1 2v2 and maybe 3v3 matches at best. its just too small for any bigger number of players.

I assume you will die or jump from a sky scraper if you play GTA or Bayonetta…

Not just protagonist. Protagonist, whose character we supposedly was able to influence/create in this game. Imagine you playing Fable. All your choices are as dark as possible. U r evil to the core. And then, all your choices become “save the princes” “save a child” “give your money to poor” and etc. I mean….wtf? And same in the game. My Sylvari is Noble. But his answers on the level of the Rat. Thats the problem. If u bought 25 splitters > u bought them for 6k gems. If I would want to buy 125 charges> I would buy them for 4k gems. So yeah. 2k gems is lost for nothing.

What if I bought 25 transmutation splitters, havent used them yet, and dont wish to change my 6k gem worth items on 4k gem worth items? Can I get my 6k gems back? There might have been sale…I dont remember. So maybe I bought them cheaper, but it still was around 5k gems.

They recently stated that transmutation splitters will still retain their current functionality. I think they will have it so you can right-click it and select to convert it to T-Charges, but double-clicking it will activate as normal. So they will still have their functionality for the purpose they were purchased for.
I’ll see if I can find where they mentioned this.

What is the reason to use them, if all skins now saved in the wardrobe? They made them essentially useless. There wouldn’t be anymore transmutations of items, since you would just use skins to transmute.

For the purpose of regaining the stats of an item that was not selected, most notably in the case of a legendary being transmuted to a white item to make it account bound. Since the legendary stat selection at will ability would be lost, using the splitter would be a way of regaining it. Not sure why anyone would want to buy 25 transmutation splitters in the first place if they weren’t going to be used, or how one can even have a need for 25 of them, but to each their own. Suppose it wouldn’t hurt to send support a ticket and inquire about it, just do not get your hopes up for them to get refunded.

But now legendary and ascended are all account bound. So yeah…no use even in this way. I bought them, because I didnt expect them to release wardrobe. And I hate to lose my skins. I had 30 splitters actually. Maybe more…dont remember.

also true. But I believe it makes more sense to believe Anet does not screw over their players than to believe they do.

Screw? You could call it balancing. This player gets to much profit from mystic forge? Well. Thats enough. Lets lower his chances a little to balance it. This player makes a 50g a day by farming? Well…he sure wont miss few rares/exotics as drop. This player playing a lot less, than before, maybe we should cheer him up with a little exotic here and there? For me, it makes much more sense, than just some farm limiter.

if this was the case and it would be ever confirmed (by some whistleblower or whatever) it would be the death of the game. Very unlikely to take such a risk. And it would be screwing with players, at least without communicating it.

The very existence of farm limiter mechanic, without revealing how it works > is already enough screwing around with a players. I sure see no difference. They just dig a little deeper.

There is another parameter, that people forget to mention. Did your friends returned from a long offline period? Or do farm a lot more, than your friends? There is such thing in this game, which called diminished returns (DR). If u was farming yesterday for a whole day and, then, today, tested your chanced with a friends, who was away for a weak from the game….I would totally expect such results.

The “offline” mechanic is a rumor. Sure, diminishing returns is a thing, but it doesn’t work like that, it doesn’t take days to reset, I believe it is just 1 hour in a different area, so you can still be logged in.

U never know the truth, until they reveal the code of this DR.

As for myself, I believe they added DR for almost everything. It could be value of materials per week. Or per month. It can even account for mystic forge.

I play for almost every day, but when i stopped farming for around a month and then came back….u know what? My drop was really good for a few days.

*You. It’s not that much longer to type and changes the disposition of your message immensely.

The diminishing returns rule has been elaborated upon from devs in GW1 around Factions. It’s pretty widely known that if you stay too long in one area, it diminishes. You can resolve this by going to a new area and playing there for a while or coming back a day later. It’s been that way for the longest time.

It was believed to screw over bots but they said that they didn’t want people heavily farming in a single area either. It did nothing for bots as they had many accounts and would just power through.

A small history lesson for you.

Yeah. So a few words from a dev and u believe it? They also said, if they would reveal full mechanic of their DR, it would make it useless. So they wont. So yeah. U basically know nothing about DR. Same as me. Or anyone else, except devs. We could see only one side of the big box of DR.

true, but Darkobra does not draw unfounded conclusions like you do. You can either accept that you were just unlucky in the past (unless you have a large sample size of your own drops and of a greater amount of other players doing exactly the same thing over exactly the same period of time with exactly the same MF which I believe you will very probably not have) or enter some Descartian dilemma of conspiracy theories about how Anet is screwing with all the players. Darkobra´s approach seems more reasonable to me…

Id say we both wrong. Yes. You right. I have nothing to prove my point really. So yeah. I should have added, “I believe” or “there is a possibility” and other forms of showing, that i might have been wrong, when was giving my advice. Yeah. My bad.

But he also is wrong by limiting the way DR might work without any evidence. Yes. Its possible, that what he tells us is true. But. There is also a possibility, that he can see only 1 little grain of sand on a sunny beach of DR. And, without any big research to back it up, he can’t make any statements. Same as me.

Also, I think you should install a spell checker. It is very difficult to read anything you’re trying to say. It’s an English only forum. Thank you.

So thats your evidence? Wasnt very pleasant to talk with you, but whatever. Good day.

Like I said, there was a decade of evidence out there from veterans such as myself. You just refused to put the research in and used your own anecdotal evidence from GW2 which consisted of “I quit this game.”

There wasn’t much to debunk. You provided nothing to prove anyone wrong. After all, you started with GW2 and you quit GW2.

My words: We seen no code. We know nothing. It might be anything. This statement needs nothing to provide. Thats how this game is right now. We dont know what devs might have programmed in their code. And even your decade of research (which i didnt see yet btw….im starting to believe, that u made it up) might as well mean nothing, because we have a fresh new game with a fresh new code. So yeah.

Your words: We researched over a decade and know everything! How dare you dirty this forum with your ugly presence! and etc… Telling me, that there was some kind of research is nothing. U should show me this research for your words to hold any weigh at all.

Like I said, it’s been going on for nearly a decade and we have many cases to back up that evidence. It’s not just one dev. It’s far, far more experienced players than yourselves who have established names within GW1 that have tried and tested every theory under the sun.

You have your own theories in your short GW2 career but some of us have been around since the very beginning and have accumulated evidence, scenarios and many tests to know that what we’ve been told HAS been true.

It was good for a few days because your diminishing returns reset as you had not farmed that area in a while. That is because that’s how it works. If you want to argue a decade of evidence, you shouldn’t be stumbling into the exact same conclusions that proves me right.

You’re very welcome to try to prove us all wrong. It’d be interesting to see one man break down a decade of knowledge. The floor is yours.

Also. I never farm. I have around 300+ % mf and just doing dungeons/fractals/www and dailys. Sometimes im playing tp or mystic forge. So yeah. In theory, I shouldnt get any DR at all and always have my normal drop chances….. Though, i do know, that im alone is to small a sample size to prove anything, but, what I noticed at this point…shows me, that DR in gw2 is much more, than a little zone farm limiter.

Don’t give Anet more ideas on monetising basic QOL functionality.

Well. If they wont get more money of it > they just wont bother. So yeah. U have to throw a bone for them too.

You don’t play poker by showing your hand before laying down the bets. All too often, one or two people will chirp up and say “I will pay for this” when it comes to basic functionality – emotes, dance moves, GW1 skins and so on, and unsurprisingly, Anet places all of these things behind a paywall.

We’ve all paid for this game. Those of us who refuse to pay again and again should not be treated like second-class players because we expect better from a developer that brought us GW1 – a game with no subs and (until the final years) no microtransactions. Want money from me? Then bring out a full-on expansion pack like the previous games. Don’t charge me extra for basic functionality!

Developers are increasingly adopting a me too attitude in the gaming industry: Bite-sized DLC at expansion-pack prices, microtransactions in full-price games and it seems consumers are increasingly being brainwashed into thinking that any of this is justified out of some misguided belief that they owe these developers more than the price of the box.

Well yeah. There is things, that unfair in this world. But, sometimes u just have to accept reality. U wont make people do what you want, unless you pay them. Why would they care about presets? Because it would allow them to print more money. Answer is simple. 3 presets for basic account and ~5 extra unlockable presets for people, who wish to pay for them. Its a win-win. You get 3 free presets, and many people would pay for extra.

U just should understand, that this is not poker. Both sides arent even. You have no hands to deal with. You just being feeded with whatever they give, and, sometimes, could write a letter with your “suggestions”, which they, might as well, ignore.

The best one is, when you see something like “2,800 ap min” in description, like i just saw now. Because, you know, when you hit 2,800 ap, you all of sudden become qualified to do smooth TA run. lmao

2800? Thats just ridiculous! U need to have at least 5k ap for it! That guy was so kind to pick up some newbies on the road!

Suggestion: Scarlet Redemption

Sergoros.4398

Scarlet Briar is an overused cardboard cutout, rightfully discarded in an alley dumpster behind a GameStop, bleached by the sun and weakened by the rain until almost nothing recognizable remains. Yet, you would take some fresh paint and recolor the discarded remnants to better suit the alleyway rather than calling the trash company to empty the dumpster? I don’t understand your viewpoint. She’s gone. You should rejoice!

For me, she is more like unrefined diamond, that lost its chance to shine. Anet killed her with bad writing. But, as I said, there is still a possibility of redemption. Her Ghost might shine a little. It would be Redemption on both sides. In game and in writing.

There are many core problems with Scarlet’s character. Being overpowered & acting like a “hip evil jokey madman” with the RP cliche: “it wasn’t really her fault!” are the main ones. You can’t fix those without making a different characters. It’s going to be loved by people who buy into that RP fixation, but people who just want a good, solid, GW story, it’s not about that.

Thats how you any many others see her. Overpowered? I wouldn’t say so. Its more like they just made everyone, who have strength on her level to just step back and let her do whatever she wants. Asuras have many op technology. Queen is an op mesmer, who can even create illusion of dragon and make whole army stop breathing. Pale tree can see future to some extent and everyday creates and op army of genetically perfect soldiers. Dunno about chars and norns, but im pretty sure they have some way to deal with Scarlet too. But they just made all this characters step back and let scarlet roam as she wish it. If Lion Arch didnt get idiot ball, they could have just created a trap for scarlet and catch her with easy. But whatever.

Next. Cliche. Almost every fictional character is a cliche. U just have to choose which cliche u like more. Snaff and Zoija? Good and weak genius. Rytlock? Brute with honor. Logan? Knight. Eir? Strong female leader aka “girls could be leaders too!”. We can find cliche for almost every character written. And u know what? I like “hip evil jokey madman” cliche. It adds freshness to this game.

And they dont even need to fix anything. She is already dead. They already failed it as big as possible. All they should do > is finish her story with a good ending. So puzzle would be finally complete. Not a mess, which we have right now.

AP, a real measurement of player ability?

To content, I think ‘zerk/nonzerk’ is more important than an AP count.

In the gear case the playstyles do NOT mix, even if both work on their own.

For AP, how bad a group are people getting that they think they need this? For most of the dungeons, just about any group is fine, I can count the number of ‘bad’ (not even disastrous) runs on 2 hands. The number of failed runs is tiny and are all in the first rush of the game (back year and a half ago now).

I see a high AP req and I always think “They’re going to spend more time trying to fill their group than they would if they were just running with less experienced people.”

Very bad. Believe me. Me and my friend had enough groups, where its just me and him standing, slowly killing mobs, while everyone else is dead. Whole run… So yeah.

Ill better go gather some ori/wood w8-ing for smooth run, than do a hour long run (only 1 path) with a newbie group.

They didnt. It wasnt even a fight, though, Glint was fighting Kralk 1v1. Snaff was trying to make some use of his mind control machine. Rytlock was holding a long stick, that was supposedly strong enough to pierce kralkatorik heart or smth. His weak spot. He didnt do ANYTHING whole fight. Just was standing and w8-ing.

Caithe was holding back hordes of branded. I dont remember what eir or zoija did…guess they was holding branded back too. So yeah. Finally Snaff mind control started to work and he managed to get grip of kralk and force him to the ground, where Rytlock could finish him. Glint was finished already btw. Aaaaand…when Rytlock almost pierced kralk….dragon was freed from snaff device (because some branded managed to pass and K.O.-ed snaff. So dragon was all like ~GTFO!~ on rytlock and then just flew away somewhere. He killed his traitor champ and had no interest in some ants on the ground.

Rytlock wasn’t doing “nothing but waiting” – all of DE sans Snaff and Logan were defending three entrypoints to where Snaff was kept. Eir+Garm on one side, Zojja in her golem suit on another, and Caithe+Rytlock in the third. When Kralkatorrik fell from Snaff’s mind wrestling, Rytlock left to kill it – but Caithe alone wasn’t enough to hold the Branded off. This is the entire point behind Glint’s earlier line of “if you all stand together, you can win” – if Logan didn’t go to save Jennah, then he would have aided Caithe in defending Snaff after Rytlock left to slay the dragon, keeping Snaff alive (longer) and giving Rytlock the time to bash the dragon.

Kralkatorrik did have interest on the “ants on the ground” – but only due to Snaff getting into his mind.

True…true…Logan is a jerk. I wonder if kralk still have necklace on. Would be stupid on his side.

Eh, I wasn’t really saying that bigger is stronger. Anyway, that Kralkatorikk picture is HUGE. How could a small band of six people fought that!? (Granted they had Glint along, but kitten.)

But thats the only reason I would love this to happen. Yeah…+300 armor would be cool too, but you would really sacrifice build diversity for it. Also, would have to make special heavy armor just for this build. Though, I would have totally gone for it, if it were possible

Destiny’s Edge was there during the fight against Zhaitan, too, so that makes 10 heroes, and the dragon was severely weakened during the whole advance to Orr. Not to forget the big guns we had against Zhaitan. Never forget the big guns.

To sum it up? Not five heroes + an army against Zhaitan at its strongest.

De 1.0 wasnt at the battle this time. They was just supporting. So they was just a part of an army. Also. Big guns are part of the army too. U need big guns for Tequatl. U need big guns for Claw of Jormag. So its obvious, that Glint = Whole army with all the guns.

Also. Snaff mind control device sure could be counted as a Big Gun too. It was so powerful, that it downed a whole dragon for Rytlock to finish.

This thread is a bit like comparing a hurricane to an earthquake to a tidal wave to a volcano. Apples and oranges. You could measure the amount of destruction, but that partly depends on what’s in the way.

one dragon took a group of six to nearly kill while the other has battled the combined might of dwarves and asura for the better part of 250 years. I’d say there are grounds for comparison.

Kralk Just awakened and was at his weakest. Also. Dragon champion isnt a small deal. You can really compare 1 champion for a whole army. Great Destroyer, Claw of Jormag, Tequatl, Shatterer. U need Army to deal with this champions. And u even can fail.

So…. Zaithan (at his strongest, he had all advantages) fought 5 heroes and army and died. Kralkatorik (at his weakest. He literally just awakened) fought 5 heroes and army > and he lives.

Also, to support my dragon champ view: Glint almost soloed whole De 1.0 without any pressure on herself. She just went > oh well…since u all downed now….u will listen to my plan and do what I say.

It would have been useful if ANet had stated their reasons for the cap instead of just the flat pronouncement. Perhaps they could reconsider and put in a soft cap where people can continue to earn AP points but only the 5 points a day needed to gain the daily. This would allow people to continue to progress but limit the ones who feel compelled to get all the points.

They put many caps. Why only daily runners should have no cap? I runned dungeons ~150+ times. Why am I rewarded only for first 40? I did salvage achiv ~750+ times. Why am I rewarded only for 125 times? Same could be said about activity’s. Why only dailys should give infinite ap?

I would agree with your reasoning IF the cap had been implemented at the start of the achievement point reward system and was known then. Instead, it is almost a year and a half later. I would wager that plenty of other people besides me made choices of how to spend their time and exactly what achievements to prioritize based on that reality.

I believe that the idea of a rolling soft cap of 5 a day beyond 10k is far more fair and would address everyone’s concerns without harming anyone. IE max dailies at patch becomes 10k, the next day max is 10,005, 2nd day 10,010 etc. This would allow you to miss days and still catch up. That way this isn’t a retroactive nerf on achievement hunters and people can still get at least some achievement point benefits from doing dailies.

There was no cap on salvage achiv at start. They nerfed it later, when some people started farming salvages and did get extreme amount of achiv out of it.

What I said “at the start of the achievement point reward system” was and remains accurate. There were no caps on repeatable achievements in the short time frame when there were no rewards attached to your overall total of APs earned. The time to put a cap on dailies and monthlies was then, NOT over a year later after thousands of hours of playtime has passed.

Do you think it made it easier for some achive hunters to lose all the time they wasted in achiv farm? Some people even wasted gold to make as many salvage achivs as possible. And they they just cut it on 125. When some people already had thousands. So yeah…. Thats not first time they change it without asking anyone.

Suggestion: Scarlet Redemption

Honestly I REALLY hope they don’t redeem scarlet for one kitten good reason.

Antagonists being redeemed is an over-hyped cliche and it offers no real longevity to the character, her death being a mad psychopath was actually the best way for her to go.

She died as she lived, evil to the kitten core.

I am not against redeemable antagonists but Scarlet never strikes me once as being someone that had a redeeming quality, in any form.

We still know nothing about her. We dont even know why she did everything she did. For example, why she put portals to her ship after we defeat her knights? What is the reason for her to help you in that? She could have just chilled in her ship, looking at dragon awakening. She helped us to much in this year. There were multiple instances, where she could have killed us, but she didn’t. I still believe, that she was growing heroes to fight the dragon. Think about it. She even called us “My special project”

15-20 Legendary Armors?

How about no look for legendary armor? BUT! U can apply any look on it without transmutation stones? And, combined with stat change….I would go for it ^^

Or they could even add some cool effect to any skin you wearing, if it is legendary. Like choosable color/form of glow/effects, or smth like that. No transmutation stones would be mayby to extreme, but this one might work.

they will never add free skin swapping like that ….people sink quite a bit of gold/cash changing skins.

I said this in 2-nd paragraph. They just should make it work with any skin. So it would be noticable as legendary. Extra effects should be the right way. Like Legendary hammer makes your armor look better. Smth like this. Mayby even ability to choose from the pool of all effects, which could be gained from legendary weapons. The benefit would be ability to use both effects. Without bug. Like having lightings from bolt(I have sword in hand) and shiny aura from eternity(this would be added effect from armor). Smth like that.

The only drawback I see with this is, by the time we have legendary armor, the people that actually make it will probably have a legendary weapon or 2. By then they will all look like giant disco balls, or a glowing ball of light coming at you a mile away.

I’m all for legendary armor, as GW1 had something similar (obsidian armor?) but I
would want it to be something more subtle than giant glowing particle effects.

At most what I would want to see is a set of armor engraved with runes with something similar to what infinite light is now.

Its just 2 effects. If u have eternity and bolt > u can combine this effects only with bug. And it would hold only until u swap your weapons. But Armor would let you add 1 effect to your set. Like shiny to bolt or lightnings for eternity.

Also, effects could be subtle. Like with legendary hammer. It just makes your armor skin look polished.
