Whist using YouTube to help with a JP in Orr the other day, I was reminded of the aerial combat sound effects that used to be, and kind of felt nostalgic for it, and wished it was back as it used to be—or at least more of a battle feel to the sound of the area. Orr used to feel like an active battle ground, and those effects made you want to look up in the direction they were coming from to see what was going on—kind of blew me away when I first saw what was happening!
Any one else feel the same, or are the sounds in Orr just rite?
The scoring at the moment has little relevance to who the survivor is. If you come first and survive to be the last man standing, you may not even be on the score board. That just happened to me—I was the second last survivor, but was not even on the score board. Previously I came first, and was second on the score board.
Would be nice to see some sort of scoring where you get points for just being alive at the end, second, third etc. After all, that is what the game is supposed to be about ^-^. So at the moment its going to have to be a slaughter fest for me, to complete the high score achievement>>.
PS, just completed the Southsun High Scorer Achievement—-I am going of rest in a darkened room, preferably in the horizontal position with a cold cloth over my forehead, with a ‘Please do not disturb sign on the door’, ^-^.

I am sure that at some point everyone has had the misfortune to disconnect whilst doing a dungeon or Fractal. It is not funny having to apologise to your team mates who have to carry you when you do DC, and especially so, in the higher levels of fractals. So why oh why after all these months does it not appear to be taken into account. For people not familiar, if you DC (disconnect) from the server whilst in a fractal, you get moved to the beginning, dead. This means that very often there is no way for your team to revive you, other than breaking combat. In open areas that is fine, but very often, that is very difficult, and bordering on an impossible task if you are in a pug. So the question I have to ask is, why not have them respawn at a closer area, rather than right back at the beginning (Note—I am not suggesting an easy ride by having a re-spawn on top of my team ^-^). In theory, I can understand that, the ‘team break combat—revive’ scenario is supposed to improve team play. However at the moment, as you are so far away on coming back in, (and dead to boot) it feels more like a double wammy punishment—once for you , for dcing, once for the team who has to carry your dead weight—-if you have not been kicked in the mean time that is!
Question—-Why are ranger downed skills not linked to surviving pets?
This especially valid in 1vs1 situations where you get killed, and the pet is still alive (and please, no wise cracks about dont get killed—it happens to everyone at some point).
I really enjoy my Sylvari ranger, even with the up and downs of being a ranger, that just goes with the territory. But there are times, when my pet goes down, and he says I can not lose my pet, it comes across as whiny. At those moments I feel like telling him to get a grip lol. Any one else feel the same? Out of interest, are other races on ranger as whiny when their pet goes down?
Pets are struggling to track targets and indeed follow anyone who switches direction rapidly (WvW) with no other targets disrupting them (note: not evade—big difference obviously). Have Sig of the Hunt, and Agility Training (vi) equipped.
Just came off Skyhammer map in PvP, and two bugs popped up (played Skyhammer quite a few times now so familiar with it)
1-: Unable to finish players if they are at a certain angle to columns. All you will get is ‘miss, miss, miss’. When the player revives, they can move through the column, to the other side (or at least, that is what I saw).
2-: Ranger vines disabling all skills if you get caught, when jumping down. When I say disabled, the vines are untargetable, and you can not activate any skills, including Plauge, which does not require a target to activate, even though the skill buttons are clear and have not been put into cool down by some other skill. So not sure if that is a problem with Vines, or the map itself, although it is the first time I have encountered it.
(Did not know whether to post here , or in PvP, so please feel free to move if I put it in the wrong place).
Just to confirm what everyone else is saying, he is using his special skill back to back, not every time granted, but he is doing it.
hit an animal and get it
make a lvl 1 warrior get rifle go to wvw you will be upleveled and 1 killshot at an animal in front of your base and you will have it…
In my opinion this title should at least show how much higher you hit than 300k!!
i just tried solo and hit for over 1.8 million so the title is ridiculously easy in my opinionits not even necessary to increase it to 2 million (it could be called an achievement then at least because at the moment its something to be done in 1 second by any lvl 1 warrior…)
but at least show in the achievement for how much higher you hit than 300k
Where do you stop with that? It would become a money pit where to get the achievement you would have to buy the best equipment etc, and then after everyone got it, someone would complain, and try to push to bar even higher, and have an army of guardian guildies spam might. By the way, this is an achievement in name only, and only for the purposes of completion as it does not count numerically for the achievement (Achivment 0).
A relatively easy way to complete Master of Overkill, go to Sparkfly Fen, and before completing the heart given by Kamma (its the heart by the WP for Tequatl), grab the weapon offered by Kamma and go to the right of the structure around the back and shoot (from memory use the fire element of the weapon) at the ambient creature there. You may have to clear enemy’s first as the will try to kill ambients, but i am pretty sure you can hit it from maximum range.
Linked Guildwars 1&2 accounts but no rewards
in Account & Technical Support

My personal experience found it a tad touchy. For myself, after linking accounts and checking the HOM in GW2, I had to log in to GW1, go to the HOM, and shuffle my reward banners etc around repeatedly until I was pretty sure they had all appeared. This can be a bind for the miniatures, and will take you quite a bit of time (I still have not had them all credited, which I have accepted and moved on). I only came to that solution, after noticing I was not getting everything on the calculator, and after sending in a ticket was unable to help. Hope that helps.
I think its safe to say that the AR dungeon is the new ‘hard’ mode dungeon, which will satisfy the player base that feels the need to stretch itself.
However the dungeon itself is sending confusing signals. On the one hand it claims, justifiably, to be hard, and on the other it allows sub lvl 80’s inside, all be it leveled up, to be put through a mincer, as they have neither the equipment, nor the traits to support them in a demanding environment such as that.
PUG groups at level 80 are struggling, or if not, are to be counted as the lucky ones. Just stand outside the instance to witness the deaths. Just seems to me to be a bit on the cruel side—if unintentionally.
Yes here is my question, which when i put it up last time was shot down in flames.
Why has the F1 function on pets, when attacking thiefs been been removed once they stealth. Previously, they would follow them, but unable to attack to give an idea where they were. This only came to my attention approximately three months ago when it was a dev himself who said to use this as a counter to stealth, but since two updates ago no longer does so.
So, the question remains, is this broken, or deliberately made to be this way? Either way I am sure others would like to know the answer, as would I.
It may seem straight forward—at first, but the wording on the AR achievement for Personal Space is causing confusion, and not just with me.
First column—-Avoid Horrik’s area attacks while fighting him.—-Fair enough—until you read the second column
Avoid area attacks while fighting Horrik.—Which area of attacks? Horriks or the general bombardment that covers the entire area? Reading the second column in conjunction with the first could be read either way. Also as Horrik fires his AOE, if you are standing in the path of the projectile, you can be hit—does THAT discount getting the achievement?
Whilst pressing F1 lock on with a flying bird, is becoming a troublesome issue. As it is, and has been since I can remember, the flying birds are the only pets that once F1 is pressed, do a ceremonial fly past two or three times before actually attacking the target.
This is all well and good, but in a pressure situation, especially in SPvP/ WvW, it is a real issue, where vital fractions of a second count. And before any one says it, yes i could go to another pet—-but surely that is not the point.

Pets on WvW, on pressing F1 to lock on to stealth do not appear to be behaving as intended. It is my understanding that, on locking on with F1, they should follow the target, giving an indication as to where they are. This was the case until recently.
Since two patches ago they are not doing this, but rather just stand as if transfixed. On several occasions I have pressed F1 lock on, to a thief, who then went stealth, only for my pet to just stand there, uselessly, as i watch the thief come out of stealth some distance away, and just run away from me. Re pressing F1 lock on after will intitially get the pet to lock on—-until they go stealth yet again, when the pet will behave as if its been taking knock out drops. At the time of all of these thiefs going stealth, they were well within agro distance. My pet did not attack anything else when this happened, nor was it attacked by anything else to grab it attention (pets set to aggressive stance at all times on test).
Really enjoyable, but did notice more than just a few afks in there. I guess its too late to implement an afk removal at this late date, but would be nice to see in future.

Okidoki—-10 mins later, and its amazing how a bad run can change your perspective on things—Its still a great game, ruined by afks. The game actually punishes the entire team who have the afks, by transporting them to the central arena to be executed by the other team. Great for them—punitive to the members of the afk team trying to struggle with their dead weight. Would have been far better to have them removed from the game entirely, so that, the afks do not gain from it, nor do the opposing team by gaining free points from the transported afks.

Never felt the need to post on forums—until now.
They have really dropped the ball (crab?) on this one. If they wanted to promote a cut throat (pirate) attitude, then they have succeeded.
Crabtaculer was difficult when this first went live, but with experienced players around, next to impossible. Keg brawl is fun, however, 90% of the time i am just going through the numbers with crab, just to get daily, and don’t get me going on the bugs with class buffs leaking into the game. Definitely should not have to be like that, it should be about fun. I will be glad to see the back of it!
(And by-the-way, having achievements based mostly on luck makes a mockery of the leaderboards)
