Think this promotes elitism too much, sorry, but I don’t think this is the right idea for commanders.
Most of them are players who buy the tag and instantly expect you to do what they say anyway, and your suggestion will just make that worse in my opinion.
No.
This seems a bit tedious to me, sorry, but there should be a trade system and the trade post used as a way to trade to people you don’t know across servers.
(like an auction house, without the bidding)
I do know that the bottom trait line for engineers holds a way to make turrets able to deploy at range.
However, what you have said is true, Turrets do need a revamp.
I’m on UW too, – The reason it’s dead is because of 4 things really.
1) WvW participation
2) Champ Farming (Queens, Frosty and Cursed)
3) Living Story
4) Dungeon running
Your idea would be amazing if it was possible to do such a thing.
GREAT place to do some beach RP though, there is even a bar!! ^^
Thank you – but what about the issue where we use the same name for our forum account as we do in game, and for someone to PM you there, all they have to do is get your name from here.
I see this as a huge problem and a severe breach of privacy, to a point it’s threatening and makes me very uneasy. I don’t know who else has had problems such as this.
It’s basically hate-mail, brought from the forum to the game, by using the same name for both the forum and game account… Can we not do something about this?
Oh, and I DO have a screen shot of the incident.
I done this to get my Ranger with the Thief hood…. and it doesn’t break the game in any way.
More ways of earning laurels, must not autimatically mean ,that they must be easy to get … this is just the wrong way of thinking.
Diversity has absolutely ZERO to do with difficulty.
Well you did say that your idea is to gain them from group events, well almost every single champion in Queensdale is a group event, and we see how many hours people farm those for.
You would need a ratio of 1 Laurel for every 1000th group event, to not make it so A-net gives these things away.
This is a huge issue, that someone can get your account name from a post on the forum, go onto the game itself and then message you using the account name linked with the forum itself.
I need some help, I am trying to complain about a person harassing me in game, but I don’t see a way to make a report, how can I do this?
That’s not true, I hardly have to dodge anything with my Support/Healer Guardian character.
He removes 2 lots of conditions every 10 seconds, so they don’t bother him, and I can normally act LIKE a tank… I say “like” because the holy trinity was abolished in gw2. But roles in general, and ways you wish to play is not something they can remove.
A support role is exactly that, you DO sacrifice a ton of damage and replace it with a ton of healing, allowing the people with high damage the chance to maximize their damage potential…
If only I could have a skill “taunt” – That would really be a great thing.
Also, if you try to play a support in Berserk gear, then you are NOT supporting anything, even yourself… Support is to help others, to help everyone around you.
You stay alive, by keeping others alive.
(edited by Sickle.6502)
Nightfall also included titles….
All of us “Lightbringers” or “Sunspears” out there will know what I mean by this.
I craft my own gear every 10 levels.
The main crash of the games economy is the rapid increase in champion farming – People do this for hours on end, and flood the TP with items, which also means Gold rewards are also increased. More gold = more farming, more farming,= more gold.
The conversion rate of gold/gems is now double what it used to be.
I sort of understand you, but I doubt this is anything game related and can be fixed in such a way…. people will always remain pigheaded, and believe others aren’t doing as good as they are… I kicked a few guys out my guild for making other members feel useless in a dungeon, repetitively…. it’s just not right, but it happens.
Until either a add-on of some kind is made, or GW implement a way to see damage and healing output, then we wont really be appreciated. The guys in my guild, male and female I should clarify… (not fair to use the term guys as in gender, anyway) all know exactly how important my Healer type Guardian is, and when you get that backing from your guild, you and they will feel much better about having you with them in large fights, and dungeon runs.
Good luck friend.
Oh really? why, because it doesn’t fit in line with what you want to happen?
You want to always hit someone with your skill 4, think skill 5 isn’t player skill based, and you believe that skill 3 doesn’t belong.
If anything, your reasons aren’t valid to even consider changing anything.
You obviously didn’t play Gw1 then – The titles were in line and didn’t offer anything to anyone enough to say “you cant come to our party”
The titles are a personal goal, and the reward would be the effort you put into it… IF this is NOT the case, then titles are a waste of time and should be removed from the game.
Who cares if you have resurrected 1000’s of players, killed loads of different monsters or players, raided every dungeon, or saved 200 gold in your bank.. etc.. if you have nothing to show for it?
Waste of time entirely.
Oh, nice bit of info, in that case Dervish could be very much in line with all races.
The gods are there, whether all races agree or not, it’s part of Tyrian lore and can’t be forgotten, as such, all races can accept or deny worship of the gods, but in some way the gods will affect them all!
So Dervish is back on the cards! ^^
Thanks Sorudo for your insight ^^
Gaining more players and possibly ruining it for many existing players is not something GW will gladly do.
Unlike other games out there, GW2 caters for their exisiting player base, and not the possible newcomers.
I still say NO to mounts, the game needs to keep it’s unique feel, and no mounts is a way of doing this.
The price for Gold/Gem conversion is stupid right now as it is.
ok, what about this, as long as the zerg trains exist, it ruins my play style.
no zerg fest, no problem, simple enough for yah?
I’m with him/her….them.
Too many titles have NOTHING to give us, this needs to change.
The combat healer title is a good example of this fact, we receive nothing for great feats.
Obviously, not all of them will have benefits, but take Gw1 for instance, all the non-generic titles in that one gave you a benefit, Norn slayer gave HP in norn areas, Asuran title gave you energy in asuran areas… etc etc.
I use a Guardian with a Shield and Mace, He has over 1.5k in healing power, and many times have I had to keep people alive in big boss fights.
Being a healer of this kind is reward enough for me. Especially when you know that if you wasn’t there, then it’s likely the dungeon would fail. due to serious wipe outs.
If I recall, Dervishes were tied to Grenth only in Gw1, not all of the 5 gods (now 6)
No, the Dervish were built around being “holy warriors of the Gods”. That include all of them, not just Grenth. Their elite skills are a rather big hint, since they are able to turn into avatars of ALL (or well, all nice at least) gods, not just Grenths.
Aye, I remember now, but the gods affect tyria, regardless who worships them. In light of this, a Dervish may not be a good idea unless it’s called something different, and doesn’t rely on the Gods….. I don’t know what a Scythe wielding zealot would be called in gw2.
Dancing Dagger (#4 dagger skill): You cant expect to hit someone running away all the time, then this skill would be TOO good.
Cloak & Dagger (#5 dagger skill): Don’t Miss!!
Death Blossom (#3 dagger/dagger skill): Very useful in D/D for evasion and getting behind your target for the important damage from behind or flanking trait.
Dommmmmmmmmm has covered the rest.
I do LARP – and I know the difference between OOC and IC related stuff…. For instance, I would hate a certain person in game time, but as soon as I was OOC again, we’d be having beers together and having a laugh…. You MUST separate yourself from what is real ,and what is made for a purpose.
I welcome any RP, good/bad… it doesn’t matter to me, for all I know, that bad RP is meant to be that way…. Everyone has their own ideas of what they want from RP… So be imaginative and go for it!…
Bring back RP to MMORPG’s!!!
The BL Chests are on a ridiculous level for rewards as it is, I say yes to this suggestion… 1 scrap per EVERY box we open isn’t a huge sacrifice.
I’m all for these ideas… Nice one!
Guild Halls are an essential part of Guild Wars, and without them it’s just another MMORPG with follow up lore to Gw1
YES!! I was just talking to my friends about this the other day, for guild bounties, and other guild activities, plus of course WvW – We NEED Raid grouping – and RAIDS to boot.
I’d love a raid style dungeon in GW 2 – Nothing beats a 20/30 player Raid group against a huge boss…
Yes, the Dragons are similar to the end Raid boss, but I beg to differ, because you can still only get 5 people in a group when fighting the thing.
If I recall, Dervishes were tied to Grenth only in Gw1, not all of the 5 gods (now 6)
Also, on topic, you can spec a thief the way of the Assassin… No need to release a class for that.
Good luck, it’s for a great cause!
I quite like many of the crafted armour sets.
Prowler, Swindler, Guild, Temple, Rascal, Emblazoned, Named – These to me look great!
Sexy and skimpy for most people are normally linked my friend.
Not really . Some of the greatest sex symbols rarely wore skimpy cloths . More often than not i link skimpy with street walkers not sexy .
That’s your opinion, but like I said, many people link the two together, you just happen to be one of those who do not.
New skills I will agree to, the rest is a No for me, for much of the reasons given by Mercury up there.
+1 from me, smoother TP searching will increase the efficiency of the TP.
Would very much like to see a Light, Medium and Heavy option for armour searches.
Isn’t Temple armour basically a trench-coat ??
That is simple, they don’t use Cavalry, they use Artillery if anything.
Agreed! – but until that happens (if it does) we just have to look at our heart on the side and if it’s not there, you are out of the zone.
I will be on my 10th one soon, well, as soon as I can get my 9th to 100% map completion.
I know what you mean though, it should be a part of clothing or armour, not the character, it’s not like it’s a part of the hair itself, stuck in the middle with glue.
Is there a way to get rid of them? or make them smaller? if not, tha’ts what we need
I never even notice that bar.
I’m all for it, but when I make a character, I plan it from 1-80 , I predetermine everything about it, then work towards it.
I spent more gold on my infusion than I did my whole materials for my Ascendant weapon..
Hugely overpriced I would say for the effect it gives.
Lower the cost, or increase the stat bonus, or do both ^^… 5 points in one stat is not very useful at 80.
A bit off topic, but, any of you tried to kill the chickens in the Ebonhawke citadel in FoR?
Go try it, it’s lots of fun!
Ok, back on topic – I am all for this idea, I have to see the bunny spirit come out and karate kick your head off (i’m serious) +1
Range finders would be nice ^^
So we know when we are in range, maybe the skill glows green around the edge when in range and red when out.
Kinda like the Wallet for currencies, you want a bag spanning all your characters items too.
Not sure about it, i’m 50/50 on this, but nice idea if it worked.
How about putting mounts in this freaking game for once. I also could honestly care to hear what anyone against the idea of mounts because I can boringly point and click using a way point on my screen. I could also pay a FlightMaster in Warcraft to take me from point A to point B while I AFK’d and went and got snacks but you know what THEY STILL HAD MOUNTS! Why? because it’s fun. When it comes to adding fun and entertainment to my personal game play experience I could care careless what someone else thinks.
@dbgamer: She says she goes for snacks herself, no ignorance or insults involved mr White Knight.
For those of us who don’t want a legendary weapon and just wish to play the PvE content?
What about these players?
Do they not deserve the right to refuse to do something, without infringing on what they want to achieve in other areas?
Did they not pay the same money to play the game as they want to?
In some ways, yes, forcing players into WvW is a good thing and it gets them to try new things which they wouldn’t otherwise think of doing, but my point is…. that WvW should be an optional thing to those who want it to be.
If they are at all interested in WvW action, there is plenty to research about on Youtube, they can go there, see for themselves, then if they like it, hop into it on their characters… but the people who outright do not enjoy it, and only enjoy the PvE aspects, are hindered by having to go into an area which forces them out of their comfort zone.
@Lemas – Yes, I see your point, but you are missing mine.
Although you have been put into the “try it and you may like it” category, I am speaking for those of us who do NOT like it after trying it…. and remember for the ones who DO like it, they don’t need POI’s ,Vista’s, SP’s.. Etc… to stay in WvW a long time, because that’s what they enjoy doing.
