Sometimes you do not get achievement for W1Z3. When timer runs out you gotta be alive and standing very close to the chest

The thing is that you are lvl 18, at that level you can go without any weapons at all cause your pet melts faces for you
In end game PvE content you gotta dodge not when “your health is low” but when “boss started telegraphing that insta gib move” and timing is unfortunately crusial and your swords wont let you evade attacks that easy.
TLDR: come back when you are lvl 80 with dungeon master title fractal lvl 40+

For the love of god please stop this continue coin complains. Its a convenience item.
If there was no continue coin in gemstore w2 tribulation mode would take hardcore folks 3-5 more days (spent on BB grind in normal mode). Instead of that they completed zones earlier and now community can enjoy video guildes on youtube.
At the end of the day it saves time to everyone, especially those who complain. Lets be honest here, you ‘casual’ folks would have no chance to complete TM without guides. Hardcore players do not complain by default cause 600 gems is like nothing if you know how to play this game

Can you please enlighten me what exactly was nerfed? I did full run W1 yesterday and tonight and cannot see any major difference. Or is it for w2 only (havent touched that yet) ?
They added 3 new checkpoints to w2-z2, decreased the difficulty of the Gong run in w2-z2 and decreased the difficulty of some jumps. The difference is not very noticable but the elitists who think they’re better than everyone else because they completed it pre-patch have their panties in a bunch because anet “made it easier for casuals”.

Elite Spirit can rez NPCs and players in downed state, Search and Rescue only downed players. They nerfed SnR awhile ago because people were using it to rez NPCs and dead players on the cliffs.

No it doesn’t, Fire Trap did for a day or two, but then a patch removed it again
i just run a dungeon with fire trap and warhorn – was working as intended. please explain what exactly you mean. also keep in mind that resulting combofield will be the one placed earlier, so if you used healing spring then fire field then blast you will get aoe heal as a result not aoe might.

No. I was pointing out how we can dismiss your statements because you assume we’re fine because of sPvP builds and how builds don’t have to actually work as well in WvW.
That’s not what I’m saying at all. More builds work in WvW and PvE, because these game modes doesn’t require as big of an attention to detail, as sPvP does. Or in other words; WvW and PvE aren’t as competitively demanding as sPvP, so therefor more builds become viable. Mobs doesn’t fight as good a players, and small group play aren’t as big of a factor in WvW. Further more, the build structure in WvW and PvE, is very different from sPvP.
The point I was originally trying to make. is that sPvP is more competitive, so the players who plays sPvP will always look for ways to push professions to their most optimal performance, and constantly try to find new efficient builds. Meanwhile, most of the players who play PvE and WvW, will typically be the casual player, who generally has no interest in finding the boundaries of a profession himself, but just wants everything served on a silver platter. So, while the sPvP players keep finding new and interesting Ranger builds, everyone ells keeps repeating that “the Ranger is a bad profession”, even though sPvP players repetitively proofs that it is not the case.
so you basically saying that spvp players are smarter than WvW/PvE, which I cordially disagree. Same people play spvp and wvw, and some of them are looking to find more effective builds.
The thing is that spvp evolves around one simple thing: bunker that small circle, preferably solo to let your team crash things somewhere else. Ranger profession lacking group utilily and overall “usefulness” – but ranger shines in spvp solo-defending point. Look at our traits lines – they are all about buffing our pet not group, even signet grandmaster trait makes them affect ranger himself not pet. How narrow-minded it is in comparison with other classes’ traits that give aoe boons left and right? We just recently received grandmaster trait that shares aoe swiftness and regen – the ‘weakest’ boons possible.
TLDR: you simply must be blind if you think that ranger is somewhere near ‘okay’ state in group gameplay.
I’ve done it 6 times, working on 7th (im legendary collector).
I always do map completion with my friend – so its very fun and fast

I would LOVE to see a trait removing active effects from spirits and giving them invulnerability in exchange – that would make them viable in PvE and WvW.
I personally do not consider spirit build OP in spvp. The only thing changed about it was lightning spirit dmg. This is literally the only viable build left for rangers at the moment.
The reason for whining is that everyone is under impression that ranger should lose every single fight. When that doesnt happen we see a lot of qq on forums
p.s. When my opponent in spvp AOEs spirits down i am literally naked. Virtually every class can do that except maybe another spirit ranger

All boons prioritize players over NPCs. Its was changed a while ago, like a few months.

Clearly someone needs to realize that there is more situations than “chase that runaway dude” and sword is only good for that purpose. I don’t want to be forced to live on 1-2-3 count just to be able to dodge in dungeons.
Chopps, how many times you jumped off the cliff caught in leap animation in Skyhammer map? If you call zero – clearly you either not playing Skyhammer or not using sword
Yes we are in a dire need of mainhand weapon.
p.s. please dont touch sword to avoid all that tpvp drama
as a ranger running axe/axe + GS or S/W im really happy with these changes

Thanks for info Miku. I transmuted my stuff about a month ago and its good to know that they were fixing legendaries previously downgraded to exotic quality. It leaves us hope that they will not overlook our issue.

I would really like to get any official or semi-official reply on subject: will transmuted legendaries be broken in upcoming patch or will they work the same way as non-transmuted legendaries?
Can anyone from Arenanet provide any comments on that? I tried to contact support but their answer was generic and useless as usual.
I have transmuted 6 out of 11 legendaries because PVT stats are useless in nearly every aspect of the game and i really-really do not want to see all my efforts wasted.
Appreciate any feedback, please note that this question was already asked on these forums multiple times

I recently started doing sPVP (hello achievement points lol) and im using very similar build. Same traits, pets and gear, but I use 3 spirits (more mobility and DPS with storm spirit) and Axe/Axe instead of shortbow.
Axe/Axe because of pull, reflect and bouncing autoattack. Its actually hillarious to see longbow rangers knocking themselves off the cliffs in skyhammer

I myself is a long time ranger (call me crazy) with a lots of PvE content done in GW2.
Unfortunately the build presented will only work in ‘perfect’ conditions: i.e. when you have an experienced premade and when content is not-so-hard (hello 48 fractals). As soon as you get in PUG lacking DPS and survivability, as soon as trash stops dying in a matter of seconds, as soon as your PUGs start dying this build is no longer viable. I am talking mostly about sword as a main DPS source. I love DPS on this weapon and i love skills but inability to dodge when u need it in a dodge-or-die game kills it for me. Maybe Arenanet fix this at some point or introduce another 1H melee weapon (like dagger)

Don’t use sword if you don’t like it. Stop asking for changes on weapons when you don’t like them, use other weapons instead.
Well im sorry but i need melee mainhand weapon. 2handed option might not work for some builds out there. Sword is a terrible mainhand weapon, it has use in only one case – chasing runaway opponent.
For the love of god, ANET, please DO NOT remove pull from axe offhand.
This change is awesome, and it is the only real “buff” ranger received in the last patch.
p.s. And yes, im talking specifically about PvE
p.p.s. And yes I use specifically axe\axe in PvE cause sword is broken as kitten. Sword will most likely get you killed in PvE
p.p.s. Please add melee main hand weapon to ranger which wont get ranger killed on every autoattack chain

it might be a consequence of CoF farm – i.e. 100-blades brain dead players who barely know what dodge is for
i find pugging AC lately difficult as well, thats why we only run it if we have at least 3 members from our core dungeon team
overall im happy with ANET dungeon team focus – they definitely taking steps in the right direction with AC rewamp and new dungeon like AR where content is gated and boss fights are phase-oriented and mechanics oriented instead of good old “stack-100B-feedback-wall-aegis-DONE”

I run 30/0/30/10/0 but it is aimed directly at large group play.
Weapons: GS – Axe/AxeHowever, this build tends to not utilize healing power very much and is more about a mix between offense and defense than healing and drawing the fights out so I have zerker trinkets. Do you want a build that makes better use of your gear or a build that suits the role of how you want to play?
Nice, i was running exactly the same build pre-patch in ZvZ with same weapon sets. Now switched to 0/0/30/30/10 with Guard instead of SotH+SoTW, Protect me instead of SoS and Muddy Terrain. Cleric Armor, soldier Runes, having a blast in T1 US zergs so far
bumping post since i recently started using small size interface and broken TP fonts are kittened. Any other fonts in game work just fine

Adept Trait “Keen Edge” now reads as: Use Sharpening Stone when your foes health reaches 50%. The effect can only trigger once every 45 seconds.
Master Trait “Spotter” now increases precision of nearby allies up to +150.
Master Trait “Beastmaster’s Might” now reads: Activating a signet grats 3 stacks of might (15 seconds).
Skirmishing
The Adept Trait “Companion’s Might” reads: Critical hits grant 5 seconds of might to your pet.
Wilderness Survival
The Grandmaster Minor Trait “Peak Strength” now grants 10% extra damage when your health is above 90%.
The Adept Trait “Healer’s Celerity” now increases revive speed by 10% in addition to granting swiftness to you and your ally when you revive.
Nature Magic
The Adept Trait “Vigorous Spirits” now reads: Spirits have twice as much health. Spirit bonuses have a 35% better chance of providing their benefits.

Adept Minor Trait “Zephyr’s Speed” has been removed for “Instinctual Bond” which reads: When you are downed, your pet gains quickness for 5 seconds. 50 second cooldown.
New Grandmaster Trait “Zephyr’s Speed”: You and your pet gain 3 seconds of quickness when you swap pets.

did it with 2 pugs today, took us like 45 min (reset fight 2-3 times cause we thought we aggroed spiders on the back by mistake, guess not).
Spiders actually stop coming after u kill like 10-15 silvers + trash, we used 2 guardians+mesmer+ranger for reflection and it was a very annoying and frustrating fight
most cases are just griefing. i got trolled once a few days ago, my friend got trolled twice. trolled person is getting metric kitten ton of whispers, you literally forced to go invis

A few notes before I make my point:
- I am from JQ server (high pop)
- I play GW2 since day 1 and i’ve done kitten load of dynamic events, way more than you can imagine
My point:
Dynamic events pretty much dead everywhere from what I can see. Cursed shore dead, Karka dead, other high level zones dead – people not sticking around. 90% population just teleports around for 1hr a day during NA prime time using gw2stuff.com to tag world bosses and that’s it. Other than that noone plays anymore – this makes me very sad cause i like GW2 open world very much.
Maybe everyone’s too busy farming projectors in queensdale?
or flipping dragon wings off TP?
or exploiting dragon ball?
Appreciate any advice on where I can actually play game (please don’t offer flipping TP and botting CoF1)
Inability to group with friends is the main reason I do not do any type of spvp in gw2.
Sadly
Bear and Eagle do not change their color when you weilding Twilight or Sunrise. Blade itself has black/white trail thought on any swing.
