Anet should hire a continuity manager. Plain and simple. That would allow a coherent and linear Living World experience. As an ex pencil and paper gamer that started in the 70’s, that is what I enjoy. Game direction is one thing, making it gel with previous and future tangents in the story line is a completely different thing. Continuity.
I wish Anet would ban the exploiters, instead of nerfing the whole event for everybody. Just the new account sales would pay for the people that review and ban the exploiters

I am starting to wonder why the Anet team abandoned their vision to release bi weekly Nintendo knock offs disguised as a living world. Why the addiction to mini games, with no attention to the game itself. There are hundreds of bugs that affect game play every day that are being compounded every time they update the game with what I consider fluff content, and most of them have been present since launch.
I had high hopes for GW2, enjoyed it immensely at launch. Now I see what many predicted when Ms. Cox was announced. Sadly it will continue until only the under 10 crowd will play. Well, I guess that fits the maturity of the mini game/jump puzzle platform that GW2 has become.
I hope they test these skills to see if they work as intended on a live server, as they should do for most of the original skills released at launch, along with the runes and weapon upgrades. On the good side, there is biweekly living world content that will keep you busy………..aaaaah, I see where your going with that.

I was once told of the benefits of Zerker gear, and then admonished for not running the build. Of course the player giving me grief was dead on the ground, as I completed the objective myself with a balanced build.
Take the zerker gear to your lightning fast dungeon clears, I’ll play the game the way I want, if ya cant handle that, well, too bad.
They decided to reward those that have supported them with their last game, and rewarded all those that played GW1. They also removed the exploitable achievements, and that has a lot of people riled up.
Unable to combine the ingredients. Oil Shallot Garlic and Onion will not combine in the create window. Unable to make my Frostgorge Clams without it. Irritating to say the least.
Stormbluff Aisle – Snowden Drifts, still active, knocking you down and causing damage. Don’t you guys play the game? Any Anet employee out there playing on a live server? Hello? Unbelievable that you dont have a clue what is going on in your game.
There are so many “level 4” bugs in game at this point that it might be prescient to wonder; is this what is causing some players to be shunted from rewards rather than the RNG curse, the DR curse, or the healer curse, or the MF curse, or any other curse this game has allowed to propogate.
2 patches ago, they moved daily for a week on SBI. Then mysteriously started to remain where they were.
After the Tuesday patch this week, they moved as i was looking at the node. It should have reformed, but it dissappeared. Will have to wait till daily reset today to see if they move again, or if they fixed it with the Wednesday patch.
Today, with no build release, the nodes moved as the daily reset occurred. I was standing in front of an unmined Ori node, and when the daily reset, the node (empty) dissappeared. searched the map and found them, but still.
This happened on Stormbluff aisle a few weeks ago for about a week, and now it is happening again.
Since the March 31 patch, i do not generally see damage inflicted to enemies on the screen. If I rotate my character around and look behind me, there are the numbers representing the damage inflicted. This is a problem in larger World Event fights as the range marker on the skill bar does not show properly. At Tequatl, I stand by the rear left leg of the dragon and attack the left front leg. I have to turn around and look at the shoreline to see my damage inflicted numbers near the two claws that spawn there. When I look at my skill bar, the skills show i am in range, however, the damage inflicted area will show “out of range”, at the same time the skill bar will not give me the red line showing i am out of range.
The day that i noticed this I did not recieve the chest as in many previous occasions. Now that I know to look behind me for the damage markers, I see the out of range notation and move closer, and I am now receiving the chest regularly.
Please move the damge inflicted screen numbers over the enemy or where the damage is inflicted, so that we can be sure we are hitting to get our rewards.
I normally see the damage inflicted numbers on my screen to the far left in normal battle situations, but world events is where they are invisible unless I turn my character facing away from the battle. Not very amenable to a proper fight as you cant guaruntee your hitting while fighting, you have to take your eyes off the enemy to see if your are even hitting them.

Just completed Tequatl on my Necro, no dragon chest, no guarunteed rare chest, received gold for the event. First time done on any character since the daily reset.
The location of nodes are randomly selected from a set of predefined locations every time the zone is initialized – basically whenever the game is updated.
The last update was yesterday, shortly after the daily reset.
I ran my ranger through at about 6:30 pm this evening before dinner. I came back after daily reset, and they are moved. Same for the last 2 days since the last patch of Wednesday 4/3. There was no patch today that re initialized the zones.
Is this a bug or intended? No notice give on the change, and no patch notes to this change. It has been resetting the locations at 8ET when the daily resets.
Is this intended, or is it a bug. Since the patch on Wednesday, the location of all T6’s changes daily at server reset. No notice given prior to this somewhat important change.
Just got done with the Wurm.
It never appeared. No corpse appeared after the AOE animations dissipated. No chest for anybody present.
Maybe you need to buff the health up a little?
So our small Guild is starting the Art of War to get access to these new training missions. I wonder why the members completing these bounty hunts will not be rewarded like members of larger guilds with commendations so that they have access to the same rewards as those large guild members? It seems to me that they slapped this together in a quick manner without really reading the concers of the small guilds out there. Yes the influence costs were high for the original content, but not all of the small guilds will strive to get to 30 or more members to get access to the rewards and what the large guild members have access to.
Commendations need to be added (at a smaller reward level of course) for the individual members just like the larger guild missions. We are small and tigh knit, but it would be nice that our members get a reward for participating in the guild content just like the members of the larger guilds., and of course the chance of a gold or higher(**) upon completion of the bouny hunt.
They have not limited the number of times you can open a chest for any world boss. They have limited the number of guarunteed rares to once per chest per account per day.
People will sstill be server hopping to open the chest for chance at another rare that can be sold, or for the exotic and precursor drops, or for the ecto to salvage. As there is no other high chance area in the game, guesting will continue. They did not nerf the chest, they nerfed the plethora of salable, and salvagable for ecto, rares that someone did not do any economic consequence damage control prior to the release of the patch that put those guarunteed rares in the game.
This is a fiasco of the highest order IMHO, and the change will probably do nothing to stop the rampant server hopping/guesting to get as many rares as they can, it is the only viable regular source of gold to the player base at this time.
The server hopping will continue, and it will cause deflation of ecto and yellows. Anyone can still farm the world bosses for golds and exotics and precursors. This will not stop the server pressure at all, because they will farm the kitten out of these chests as long as it is the best shot at an exotic or precursor.
The guarunteed yellow will be account bound, so if you like to spend money for gems, you can still do that to salvage it for ecto’s.
This is not doing anything at all to the way the power gamers will power game it every day, all day. For every chest they open they still have the same chance of a gold that can be sold and chopped up, just now, they will have to chop up the account bound ones.
Today I came to the conclusion that my small guild of 10-15 people is a lost cause. We need 40K influence to start these missions. We cant recruit because no one wants a small guild that doesnt have these unlocked yet. Believe me we have been trying! We cant get the influence because the few members we do have active are joining and repping other guilds so they can do the content. Ive played with some of these people for 3+ years and have formed friendships that now mean nothing because we cant get anything done as a group.
So either I accept the fact that Ill never get to see the new content and just keep mapping with all my alts til I quit the game from boredom or I join an impersonal, mega guild of people I dont know and cant get to know anyone because its so big and where Im just a number to fill a roster requirement.
This has really killed my enthusiasm for the game so Im leaning more toward just uninstalling and finding another game. Thanks alot Anet, you really know how to ruin a good thing.
The new patch has made it now possible for the large guild players to guest on other servers and be eligible for the rewards from the Guild event done on the other servers, just giving more and more to the hard core gamers, and leaving the casual player in the dust as far as being able to achieve what the hard core gamers do. Anet, we dont mind if it takes us 5 years to do what it takes the hard core a week to do, but at least let us give it a shot with a realistic ability to do the same content.
Which order do you belong to? Usually, there’s an additional NPC you have to chat with before you can reach the gate. I’ve never had trouble using them in both directions. I admit I haven’t used them recently, because I generally prefer to spend the WP silver rather than suffer the additional loading times.
When i talk to the Gate Guard at Vigil HQ, he says “this area is still under construction”, I do not get the queue to show my credentials.
After about 12 hours the influence purchases were dumped into the guild log and credited, though not in order of their purchase.
This all due to the same “time accounting” issue that existed with the WvW bonuses until month 4. This is why, when you look at your items up for sale, they say “a minute ago” when you listed them yesterday: and also why the tool tip cant tell what money you have for pickup, it cant tell the time to look at.
The battle for Fort Trinity is to allow the gates to work, but after opening them, i was only able to travel to my Orders base, then i was not able to use it to get back to Fort Trinity. The “Battle for Fort Trinity” was to allow the gates to function to resupply the Fort, so how are they getting supplied if they cant use the portals to get the supplies to Fort Trinity?
We should be able to portal back and forth to our Orders HQ.
The spawns in the overflows are right after the spawns in the main server, Both times it happened to me today, i got the “leave queue” message half way through the battle, so it must be spawning right after the main server. I’ll keep my eye on it tonight.
Dragon’s spawn on overflow servers just like the main servers. WHat is the big deal people?
I played these dragons like i was on an overflow the first 4 months when our guild was not getting the WvW bonuses, so no biggie
Power gamers will be power gamers, they are not satisfied until they get their 60 chests a day. They let the bugs and high drop rate work for the power players, then they let the DR take care of the rest of us. Now they are giving back to the power players and the Big guild players.

I played the first 4 months like i was on an overflow without the WvW bonuses, so no biggie….
small guild, not able to play the part of the game that the big guilds or the gem buyers get, kinda like premium content in other games. Daily kitten is just stupid, was easier and better before this crap. Single chest from dragons? are you kidding me? RNG, and now this on top of it? another updae before i can finish the first daily? now i cant even log on to do the daily.

<facepalm> so no thought about the small 2-5 man guild? It seems that the better game content is now exclusively for huge Zerg Guilds. My guild currently has 3 active members and we will not have a chance to play this premium part of the game until after the servers are turned off. And no, we are not buying gems to pay for influence to get the good stuff. <facepalm, laugh, shakes head>10 people is a very good size for a Tier 1 bounty mission.
When the kitten are they gonna make a live test server, I volunteer to help out.

So we haven’t been able to determine what’s causing the bug. Like I said, I added some failsafe measures so it will fix itself if it ends up in a bad state, but I’m not sure WHY it’s ending up in a bad state.
I am sorry of this is off topic, but maybe the reason that developers see no reduction in drop rates from veterans and champions, and the drastic drop in “drop rates” in general discussed in many other forums be related to the fact that they are looking at test servers instead of live servers? Definate Food for Thought. Clearly the test servers are not operating on the same playing field as the live servers, and it would make sense according to your observations.

We’ve had an extremely difficult time trying to reproduce this locally, but I added some safety measures to the ice shield to make sure it goes into its visible/attackable state if it’s alive. It’ll be in the end-of-month content update.
Ummm, the name of the shield spawns underground, and cannot be clicked to target it every single time i play the event. To say you cant replicate it means that you are playing another game altogether, because this happens every spawn, every day. To hear you say you cant replicate it means that what you are doing has no relation to what the players at large are doing. That would be cause for alarm in my eyes, and as a developer, it should have risin a large red flag in your field of view.
The Pact weapons will auto target the shield as long as no elemental or moa is in your field of view. Regular weapons will NOT auto target the shield. Click to target the shield is impossible because the name is under ground when it spawns

So a thought occurred to me today (yeah yeah I know crazy huh) anyway there was talk in the other thread about how this might be a bug. I saw it mentioned a couple of times now until a friend mentioned to me the most recent nerf, Dragon event loot. Jormag I believe it was, suddenly people were getting nothing after a recent patch, nothing but blues and greens. It occurs to be that this couldn’t possibly be a bug and them not noticed is with their data collection software. It has to be that they are doing this on purpose for whatever reason (bots or store sales or whatever). I’d love to see an answer about this isn’t there an AMA coming up?
On the day after i returned, I did Claw, Teq and Shatterer , 2 golds from Claw, 2 golds from Teq, 1 gold and 3 greens from Shatterer. DR is clearly in place on the chests or anything else you do once you activate it by farming
just my humble opinion, as i can verify it.
I have, over thelast month, sue to time restrictions been relegated to doing the daily in Kessex Hills event chain and a few dragon events every day. I was under the reduced drop rate for a long time. Then something interesting happened.
After 2 days off on vacation, i returned to level up a warrior in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, starting at level 36. 2 Guild mates accompanied me. We completed the area over 2 hours. I received no junk materials, 2 gold drops (level 39 & 42), one of them from a Veteran in the southern grawl fort with the cages filled with chests. One exotic drop from a stag in the central area. Every CHampion and veteran dropped something. It seemed my DR was ended.
Then i went to Harathi to level to 46 (from 45.3) before upgrading my armor and weapons to continue with the storyline quests. normal drops until the last wave of Harathi to attack the southern point. after that my drops went back to below average. No, i dont have exact details, but the drop in quality was immediately apparent. after the event chain ended i went to Frostgorge for Claw event. Mined the first Ori node, and whala, the rest dissappeared as they did before my time off break occured.
I think you need to stop continuous farming any particular enemy, and move around a map instead of parking in one area or doing the same event chains over and over.
I have tried to pay attention to this parameter, and guess what, my drops are back to what they were before i started my daily grind run of the daily and dragons.
I think the dissappearing node sites are directly related to the DR mechanism, and the DR mechanism tracks your movement and enemy type kills. I have no idea what the parameters are, but i think for a casual player like me relegated to short times online, and trying to be as productive as possible during that time, it was what started me on the DR radar. So move around, dont repeat event chains more than once per day, and try to put another type of enemy kill in a mob scene after about 35-40 kills of one type. That has been working for me.
I think the DR set up to discourage bots has inadvertantly been set at a too low tip point that is reeling in the casual player along with the bots of the world.
IMHO, play the game instead of farming the hell out of one area, you will be rewarded.
My mesmer popped in for Tequatl, proceeded to do Danger at Fabled Djannor. First wave i got a green weapon and a small scale. On the second wave and thereafter, got nothing but porous bones.
On to Teq, i got a gold from one of the minions, chest gave me 5 blues.
I wish they would tell us what veterans and champions they increased the drop rates for, because it wasnt any that i have encountered to date.
I am seriously starting to wonder why they pander to the cheats in the beginning, then take it out on us casual players because they could not control the game from the git go. Serious lack of beta gnashing. I suppose they are gonna release a huge addition to the game before they fix whats broken, and let the problems cascade even further.
I love this game and have taken great restraint to level all my chars to let them get the high level areas fixed, and i am ready soon, I hope they got the memo that people like me, the casual gamer, need to be able to afford stuff without buying gems because if thats what they want Ill take my 8 year association elsewhere.
Why spend the time when you can farm the mobs and get golds and orange items? Jormag gives blues and some greens in his chest. I have never seen an exotic from him, only 2 yellows in about 50 tries. I no longer do it, not worth anything IMHO.

When you rally from downed, the skill #1 also triggers as well. It will fire in the attunement you were in when you were downed, and then fire immediately when you change attunement. Get a player on an ele and try it.

No excessive hyperbole or inflammatory comments intended or made IMHO.
I am just glad that the problem is being worked on, so that i can play the game on an even playing field with the rest of the players on my server, instead of playing on an uneven playing field biased in favor of others.
I was trying to impress how frustrated the players are that know about the issue, and many are not even aware they are not receivng these benefits, until they are told about the tool tip showing the bonuses received. Most think they automatically receive the bonuses on the WvW screen.
Well, i guess a “sorry for the issue” is ok, although to be honest, the gold would have been much nicer.
Thank you for acknowledging the issue, and providing update on the fix in the next, or one of the next few updates. I will pass on your response to the bug post so they know it is getting worked on.

I, nor any of my guild members, have received the “Power of the Mists” bonuses to crafting, defense, endurance, gathering, healing, health, gold and xp per kill, since the game opened.
Would it be possible to get a refund so that we can buy new accounts that recive these WvW bonuses?
I realize that we have been playing since the Beta without these bonuses, so that means we are just better at playing the game, but the Gold that we have been unable to capitalize on is just astronomical when you look at the bonuses our world has received since the game opened. It really is more and more disheartening the more I think about how much we lose every day. It is even worse to think that we will either have to abandon all the work we put into our guild so far, just to get a game that gives us what others have gotten for the last three months, or suffer until the WvW team gets around to fixing this game wide bug.
My concern is this, only the WvW team has acknowledged the problem, when all players are affected by this bug in PVE. Those bonuses are supposed to affect every player on the world that the WvW team plays for, but not all of their world friends are getting the rewards they work for.
This is really a game broken, it does not work for alot of people. When you open the WvW icon, the items you see there are what you are supposed to recive in the way of bonuses. If you hover the cursor over the WvW icon and see { World Vs World [B] }, you are not actually receiving the benefits that the WvW players are working to get you. I have purposefully not gone to WvW, because I cant get the bonuses. That fact breaks the game right there. The World “team” is broken because the world players are not treated equally,some get, and some do not get the same world to play in.
The WvW team stated in a post that it is one of their priority bugs, and that bothers me.
This is a game breaking bug, and every team should be involved to get it fixed.
I dont think they understand just how game breaking it is.
It involves every PVE player on every world, and the posts to the bug thread are astronomical. it has remained in the top 10 for 83 days, and still nobody other than the WvW team had even acknowledged the bug’s existance.
So, what do you suggest i do Gail?
Play a broken game until you can fix the bug, and just eat the losses from not receiving these advertised game mechanics? (sounds like a class action lawsuit)
Or, should i just start fresh and throw away all the hard work that my Guild has done for three months?

No member of my guild has received these bonuses to cafting, defense, endurance, gathering, healing, health, gold per kill, or expeience per kill since the game launched.
Why is this not a top priority for the entire Anet team?
There are players in every world operating at a distinct disadvantage to other players that are receiving this advertised game mechanic. It took the WvW team 28 days to acknowledge the problem, and now says it is beng looked into.
This affects every player on every server every day, and should be considered a game breaker. Why are some receiving the benefit when the rest are not? It should be dismantled until ALL can receive these bonuses.
When you hover over the WvW icon and see { World Vs Wolrd [B] }, you ARE NOT GETTING these bonuses. If you open the WvW window, you see what you SHOULD be getting.
This is a serious issue and should be acknowledged and updated regularly by the product developement team on a consistant basis.

This is not a WvW issue, it a an issue for EVERY player on every server. THis should be a TOP PRIORITY for the game as a whole as it affects everyone.
I just found out earlier today that i should have been getting bonus to everything from health to crafting to harvesting materials. Now the Bug thread is gone.
Ben was gonna get back to me after i talked to him in game, then he logged off.
seriously dissapointed in this bug, not to mention The Hatchery.
Get a person on these boards to at least make us feel important by not ignoring us.
