Please no. That is one of the few remaining cool things in Tyria that Scarlet hasn’t been given credit for. Don’t give them ideas!!! In fact, I’m pretty sure there is no castle there.

This is Scarlet’s story. You’re just here to show how pretty and awesome and smart and totally the princess of everything she is.

And scaring those two groups is not really believable. Flame legion would have long disbanded if they were the types to get intimidated, and Dredge are perfectly willing to die to protect themselves from slavery. Threatening them into obedience would be the easiest way to set them off and turn into enemies. And you really, really don’t want Dredge as enemies (remember, 250 years after they got freed, and they still try to hunt down any dwarf they hear about, and destroy anything connected with them)
Additionally, the dredge (after the events from Sorrow’s Embrace) are in really bad relations with Inquest, so they would not agree to be on the same side as Aetherblades.

All this, right here. These are groups that had good writing and characterization put into them with various understandable nasty motives, that were all stripped away by tossing them into the Living Story compost heap.

The fastest (meep) will escape. The others had a good run, let’s not dwell on it too much. Who’s up for moa jerky with yak butter?

Again, no reason the dredge and flame legion couldn’t just make this trade without her and not sacrifice themselves in huge numbers just to consistently fail at everything. Dredge and flame legion working together? Not a bad idea. Trying to shoe horn Scarlet into it? Awful.

Not Working with Scarlet = She threatens to kill you? She’s less threatening than any of the high ups in the Flame Legion, Krait or Nightmare Court. There’s zero reason for these organizations based violence and pain to be afraid of fighting her.

So yeah, I’ve heard Anet’s lame excuses, they don’t hold water. It’s badly written drivel.

There are some ways they could make this awesome. Having a renewed Orr be the new cultural capital would be pretty sweet if they really mean it about having the world change drastically.

But it’s probably just overhype nonsense and we’ll have a contested LA zone where we have to press F 100 times to get achievements for two weeks and then will go back to normal.

Why did Scarlet’s allies ever follow her in the first place? Never been a good answer for that either. Dredge and flame legion want to ally (which is somewhat plausible)? Okay….why do they need Scarlet sacrificing them by the thousands to make that happen? Pirates and Inquest want to work together (again, totally plausible), what’s ever stopped the Inquest from doing something like this on its own? It’s not like evil little asura aren’t self-motivated to cause trouble with anything they can find. Krait allying with anything never made sense in the first place and just waters them down from “genuinely creepy and threatening” to “cartoon minion” in terms of threat level. Nightmare Court working with Scarlet is the only one that makes sense since they both have an obsession with proving the Pale Tree wrong.

You can’t make the continuation of a story make sense when the story never made sense in the first place. None of these alliances needed Scarlet to happen. She’s just the lore eating plot vortex fanfiction that we’re stuck with until Anet decides to stop with this nonsense.

I’m hoping they dig up some ascended gear during their journey.

I don’t think transferring to JQ is ever a good idea but my realm mates always hate me for saying that.

Most great thinkers are unappreciated in their time.

The only correct answer to this is “whatever you find the most fun.”

I doubt we’ll ever see another class added, Anet has pretty much said so and the glacial speed of updates would suggest even if they are down the road it is very very far down it.

Unless you really like porting people up jumping puzzles there isn’t much unique about a mesmer. Eles do insane damage and are very desired in wvw and dungeons, but they are a pretty high skill threshold class.

You can probably coast by on just upgrading your gear whenever a better piece drops until level 80. If you are unlucky and find yourself really lagging behind maybe consider it every 20 levels or so otherwise, and just buy it cheap off the trading post. No reason to really stress over it until 80.

For leveling get stuff with power in it to kill faster to level faster. =)

Look in the gem store under upgrades you should see an option to upgrade to the digital deluxe version. I don’t think you can upgrade to heroic. Although it makes very little difference.

And yeah SAB World 1 was one of the best things this game ever produced, I wish it was available 24/7.

Keg Brawl was one of my favorite things in beta. I wish it had gotten any support. Being able to play with friends would be terrific, and it would be better if they put it back to being its own instance so you’d know the people there actually wanted to be there and play.

Loaded into a game today and its five people watching the other team score so they can lose faster to get daily credit. Sad.

But hey at least it’s not Crab Toss.

There is zero good reason for them to be soulbound. This is one of those very obvious things.

they would suffer burning and cripple, but they still have some chance to crawl out of the burning hot lava if they try.

Yeah I pinned up to help JQ/Overflow a few times and it was really fun. For every whiny ’we’re going to fail and its everyone else’s fault but mine’ baby there was a dozen or so people with good spirits who were willing to work together.

This is on just about everyone’s wishlist at the moment. You can diminish it a bit by turning your settings down real low, but then the rest of the game looks pretty bad too.

Your f1-f4 buttons change your attunement (earth, air, fire, water). Each attunement has different skills you need to unlock.

Yes, high WvW ranks should be reserved for PvE farmers who run karma trains. Not PvE farmers who idle in LA. We have to maintain our standards after all.

The problem isn’t with zerker gear. The problem is that Anet’s idea of challenge is “make it have tons of hit points.” Obviously the solution players find to this problem is hit as hard as possible to go through those hit points.

If the content in this game actually required more than just hitting it to beat it, people wouldn’t use zerker so much.

The problem isn’t with the gear, it’s with the game. If they fix zerker by making the content more than just a huge sack of hit points, I’m okay with that. But of course they’ll just give every boss unblockable knockbacks that go through stability and make a dozen more scarlet updates instead.

Yeah I guess we have to downgrade all of what was advertised.

I encourage all BG players to share their frustration on the topic of dying in WvW. But don’t limit it just to this forum, try joining party with the JQ players that kill you and expressing how sad it makes you to us personally. I think you will find us to be very receptive to your concerns and willing to listen.

I hold no grudge against you all. My guildies hold no grudge against you. We don’t hunt our ex friends down and yell about it in TS. The number of times I’ve run into bratalix (you baddie :P), frost (dat afro), omicat (<3), that baddie veld (trololol) amoung others would surprise you and all that happens is a couple bashes to the face…. realize who it is and jump around a lot pming each other.

This is really weird. Why aren’t you killing them if you are such good friends? I always kill my friends when I see them in WvW.

Every match I’ve played today has been outmanned with the higher numbered team having full rank 30+ players an the outmanned team being mostly below 10. I don’t know what sort of matchup system is being used here, but it’s awful.

You’re making the mistake a lot of people make in thinking that WvW isn’t designed to be PvE.

Well it was a good season. Some closing insults thoughts.

BG went all out going for first, and succeeded, with a bunch of terrible baddies who got farmed but then bailed out by off hours coverage all the class and style we’ve come to expect from that server!

JQ is the server that never says die except when fighting BlackGate when we get outmanned bonuses during primetime.. Kudos for a hard fought second place finish! We should all be ashamed and drink more heavily than usual.

SoR had some real bad players luck this season. Still, they never stopped trying. to be BG’s Jr. server, haha chumps played for second and came in fourth, beautiful.. Nothing but respect for these brave forum warriors!

Tarnished Coast, the blobbiest server outside of t1 little server that could! The adorable puppy in the eyes of the Gold League community, gosh they try so hard we’re all so proud that JQ gave them they earned third place! Surely their hilariously pathetic chest thumping good spirits are a joke well deserved! Great karma trains fights, guys!

And of course, SoS a server that left no impression and had no impact whatsoever that certainly deserved to be here with the rest of us! They missed the memo to tank for Silver League held their own no doubt!

And last, and least only in the eyes of everyone ppt, Maguuma. Ah what would gold league be without Maguuma? (competitive?) Keep up the ineffective trolling good work!

Well, I think we can all agree that Season 1 Gold League was an embarrassment that highlighted everything wrong with WvW good time for everyone! Here’s to getting so inebriated we forget it happened next week!
