The issue isn’t that they are too easy, it’s they are always the same, the same Boss in the same location, most don’t even move around. Random Bosses, random Boss locations and roaming Bosses is what’s needed, not adding more hit points or more gimmicks.
Still not sure this will address my main issues with PVE and world boss/events?
I can’t tell you how much time and coin I’ve wasted, jumping from map to map events only to find no one there doing them! Would like to know how mega servers will work with world bosses & events?
Maybe show how many players on a map or a flashing icon on the world map of locations where players are doing events.
I want some way to tell if any players doing temple or boss events, before I jump to the map location.

I still think Anet got it backwards, one would think the top gear in the game should be earned!

Every one fails the first time but, now it seems even pug groups have learned how to kill the troll, haven’t been in a pug that failed Troll this week so far.
The problem is the Dungeon designs are nothing but, a gold run, kill boss 1,2,3 get your reward. This won’t stop until Anet re-designs Dungeons with random Bosses with random locations, and make players find loot (hidden random locations) VS. just rewarding it.
Wow, I just don’t see the reason for this, Dyes weren’t that hard to get, and just enough rare colors to make them fun finding them.
You could even make some good gold making/upgrading & selling Dyes!
Are the hairstyles from the first Make Over kit still available?
How about the ability to use any lower level skill in any slot, so you can use any skill in the grand master slot?
For Pug’s groups its best to kill the doggies first (they are too easy to Argo after getting bounced all over by the Troll), then just range kill the Troll. There are plenty of safe places where the Troll can’t get you after you kill the doggies.

Once again you go for the short cut trying to make bosses harder VS. making them smarter or random.
How about random Boss and Loot locations? That would make dungeons 100% better VS. just giving a Boss another gimmick. Make players find loot VS. just rewarding it!
What GW 2 needs – Randomness
- Random doors/rooms, random location of trash mobs & bosses, find loot (random location), don’t just reward it for dungeons.
- Hidden Doors and Map locations that require new skills to find them.
- Hidden Traps & Chests, that require Skills to find, disarm & open.
- NPC’s with story that can join you or join them to do events and exploring.
- Random Bosses & Random locations, not more gimmick Boss mechanics.
- New Skills.
- New Races.
- New Areas, give us something besides Orr for high level characters, with random mobs at random locations and non scheduled Events (random).
- New Player Elements (Homes, mounts, businesses).
- Allow players to craft items that can be moved/sold/traded with NPC’s across the open world.
- More Role play elements.

You can sell refined Ascended materials (ingots, leather, thread, wood) that sell for 3-5 gold each, I sell about 5-8 per month.
I got more yellows when I was at 89-99%, then I’m getting after reaching 100-106%, so I wonder if each new tier (100, 200, 300) gets some sort of reset?
It’s sad Anet can’t seem to fix this, it been broken for how long now?
This event has been better than most but,I can’t see Anet blowing up Loin’s Arch every year, so why put so much effort in a one trick pony? I’d like to see new levels, new races, new areas, player homes, expanded RPG elements, new skills, dungeons with random content, etc. not more one time events.
I’m trying to complete Straits of Devastation with my latest character but, all of Events fail 100% of the time. I’ve solo’ed all of the Orr maps with three other characters and haven’t encountered this issue before.
Agree, achievements should be on going doing things that matter, not just a check list otherwise two weeks from now, no one will be doing this event once they complete the check list.
Sadly dungeons have become boring, they are nothing but a gold runs, kill boss 1,2,3, every trash mob and boss are always the same and in the same place, zero randomness. Other than trying for something like Dungeon Recipes there’s not much point in doing them anymore.
I’ll die of boredom long before, I get to 8000 tokens for any dungeon. Which dungeons and/or paths drop dungeon recipes?
I now have almost a 1000 dungeon tokens for each dungeon except Arah but, have yet see a recipe drop even with 100+ magic find. So do dungeons recipes still drop?
The LFG tool just doesn’t work for events because, I want to know if players are doing the event, not scheduling one. Some way in real time to tell if players are doing an event before I go there, would be great.

The real cost is converting Ascended material in (Ingots, Wood, Leather, etc). I do wish we could get Dragonite ore from dungeons but, this is how Anet gets players to do events in the game world.
What’s the issue?
I purchased the bone pick back in December and used in game currency gold, not money. I may pick this one up too, with in game currency but, I wouldn’t pay real money for it. Those of us who run dungeons daily this is about 2-3 weeks worth of gold.
Has anyone see this event ever succeed when stuck in overflow?
If anyone thinks Ascended crafting is a grind or unfair just wait for precursor crafting!

Making the bosses harder or adding more gimmicks doesn’t add anything other than taking more time to completing a path! You are only going to get more pay to play to complete by someone who knows all the Boss gimmicks.
Go play some old school RPG’s, dungeons should be about exploring, encountering the unknown, random monsters, hidden areas, hidden treasure. Treasure/reward should be more about how much you explore and find things, not on how many bosses you kill.
How about
- Random paths with Random rooms, doors (something to explore).
- Randomness to Dungeons, eliminate mobs and Bosses always in the same place.
- Hidden areas, random doors (with random fights, treasures), random traps in each path.
- Dungeon skills (finding hidden areas & traps, disarm traps, opening chests).
- Making finding Dungeon tokens be the goal, not just rewarding them!
- Get rid of the current dungeon design of gold runs, just enter Dungeon and kill Boss 1,2,3, yuck!
Just adding random hidden doors & rooms, random traps, random mobs, random boss location to existing dungeon paths would be a 100% improvement.
I’m asking about completing a specific dungeon, let’s say I did Story, path1 & 2 of AC with one character, then did path 3 with a different character, will that still complete AC?
Any way to tell which paths have been completed for a specific dungeon?
Do you need to complete all paths of a dungeon with the same character?
I can confirm this, all skills on the right (keys 6-0) on my Mesmer stopped working several times in dungeons last night, skills (keys1-5) on the left kept working. This happens in combat, ready skills don’t respond and un-ready skills no longer show a count-down. Also weapon switch key didn’t work.
Had this happened in the following Dungeons:
- Caudecus’s Manor
- Sorrow’s Embrace
- Honor of the Waves
I found that opening the character screen (H key) and manually switching weapons resolved the issue. The unable to switch weapons at the last boss in path 1 of Honor of the Waves is an old problem that happens sometimes but, never seen all of the skill buttons on the right (keys 6-0) stop working.
What do you do with excess Dungeon Tokens?
Paths 1 and 3 are around 7g. Path 2 goes for 3-4. Path 4 is 12-18 depending on seller.
If I wanted pay to play, I’d go play Wow!
I’m just about to complete the other 7 dungeons with only 1 path left to go, all done with pug groups.
I’ve done the story mode for Arah but, I’ve never see any LFG for any other Arah path that isn’t selling for gold. 10 gold for a single path dungeon run, 30 gold total to complete Arah, I don’t think so.
I haven’t seen any Guild sponsored Arah events. Anet doesn’t seem to care or have any answer, so what to do?
The design flaw definitively isn’t skipping, it’s the fact that dungeons are the same each time you play it! Anet’s design seems to be kill Boss 1,2,3 or just make the Boss harder with gimmicks.
Anet developers need to go play some of the original RPG’s where every you never knew what awaited you on the other side of a door; treasure, trap, or enemies.
Dungeons need randomness, hidden areas, random traps in different places, random trash mops, hidden treasure, NPC’s, etc. Add a few new paths with hidden areas to each dungeon and then let the paths be random! Make players search for treasure and not just a chest at the end. How about dungeon skills for finding treasure/trap & disarming traps & opening trapped chests?
Just adding multiple random doors to each path, where each one may be a trap, fight, or treasure. You can stop players from running through dungeons today by adding a few floor traps that drop players back to the starting area.
Dungeons need better treasure, how about rescuing random NPC in dungeons that give you a discount from a vendor, code/discount from the trading post! There’s not a lot of randomness in the stuff you get today.

Your right, the founder, the original person who spent money to create the Guild should not be allowed to be kicked out!!! Some one needs to have ownership of a Guild and that shouldn’t change unless the owner transfers the ownership of the guild to some one else!
Anet should have procedures in place for that, otherwise the whole Guild creation/ownership is just broken.
Don’t make them like Tequatl, uck!
Don’t make the Bosses harder with bunch of gimmicks, make them smarter! Have them appear in different places and have them move across the map!

Have a different goal each time you fight it!
- Saving NPC’s,
- Save/protect town & villages, not just killing it!
The prices will drop, once players start farming them, remember what happened to wood!
Sounds like gemstone crafting 500 is near which will likely require lots of Silver/Gold?
How well does that MF work at that level?
Run 2 Dungeons per day (2-2.5 gold per day), that14-17.5 gold per week, then buy what you want!
1. Find which Map has the missing way point.
Bring up the world Map, mouse over each map and you should find which map has the missing way point.
2. Go to the GW2 Wiki and look up the map.
Check your map against the map on the Wiki.
3. Double check the WvW maps!
Weird, seems odd there is no way to find out your Fractal level, outside of the Fractal Area, considering all of the Fractal achievements that are tracked!
Dungeons sadly is the only area in PVE, I’ve run into players being jerks. Normally players are very helpful in the open world and during group events.
How do I see my Fractal level outside of Fractals?
