I have mine equipped all the time,I use Sword/Shield – Longbow ,but I think it isn’t optimal to have a ranged weapon equipped all the time,I think I’m kinda becoming lazy to go to the front line and just stay back using F1+3 combo.

I usually do World Bosses,and yeah,you can do this with just about anything,but I’m becoming a lot more interested in WvW and I think the Longbow isn’t optimal,at least,I’ve never seen a Warrior using it in WvW.

Should I swap my Longbow to a Hammer maybe?

PS: I’ll not change my Sword/Shield,I love it,even if it isn’t the best combo for WvW I think,but…the White Knightness in Sword+Shield is just too cool do pass up

We like to collect weapons too (actually,I just want to have at least 1 of each usable weapon for my characters) and it is annoying to equip them everytime you need to change them,can we have a “weapon inventory”? and we can cycle through all our weapons,pretty please? (:

I like my Warrior the most,I like my Thief too after the overhaul I did with him,but he looks a bit generic,meh. (But instead of Black dye like every other Thief,he is a good guy and uses White and Blue,despite his scary phantom face,he is still a good guy)

My Warrior isn’t afraid of long jumps

I suggested this change because this would make up for the lack of skills.
In Guild Wars 1 we had like 150 skills for each class? Here we don’t,I think we deserve at least 3 weapon slots,or at least something like someone said

While in battle,you can only swap 2 weapons (like it works now) and while not in battle,you can cycle through all your weapon sets. (So,kind of a Weapon set template)

This would help a lot with inventory space,and while adding diversity to the game.
I would love to use Warhorn to help people with buffs etc,but I just can’t throw away my Longbow/Greatsword on my Ranger,because you can’t rely on people all the time,so I’m better using weapons for self-defense rather than buffing allies.

Same with my Warrior,I love Sword/Shield for small battles,but I also like to have my Longbow equipped,I would like to help more with Sword/Warhorn but I prefer to keep my shield equipped so I can survive and actually do damage instead.

Forums are for bored people,forums will never be a place for people happy with the game,those are actually playing.

PS: I’m not bored,I browse the forums while playing the game

I think you have nothing to lsoe,you’ll eventually get your money back,because when you salvage you get mats and you can sell the mats to get some money or use them when crafting.

And you will also have a higher passive magic find,like…you will be playing normally like you always do,but with a higher chance to get rare drops,IMO it is a win/win situation.

PS: But only if you salvage only drops,don’t waste your gold buying masterwork items from TP just to salvage them.

The problem is because making the mob’s attack easier to see will not solve anything,because usually they are covered in skill particles

IMO it would be OP,yes,,but we would have a lot diversity.
Would also make up for the lack of skills.

Think about it,how many of these poor GS Warriors wanted to use a cooler weapon,but are bound to the GS because it is obviously the highest DPS weapon for a warrior?
I use Sword/Shield myself because I love this combo,but I would love to use Hammer,Sword/Warhorn , Sword/Sword (this one is so epic…but I can’t drop the shield,it is just so cool) and I don’t like the idea of changing weapons on my inventory everytime,it mess up with the inventory.

Like 3 days ago I had to buy Phalanx armor just because I wanted the phalanx boots (I don’t want to use the rest of the armor)

Just to find out that looks like the Phalanx armor is made out of plastic,it isnt even shiny,the boots dye horribly,urgh…800 gems wasted

Tip for everyone who only killed Tequatl once or so: Show up like 1 hour before he actually spawns before the server (daily) reset,I’m killing him daily with this tactic now.
If you show up when he is about to spawn you will end up on a overflow with a random zerg which isn’t enough to take him down.

Try it,and you will be able to kill him daily.
Yes,I know it is boring to wait 60~ minutes for a boss to spawn,but it is worth it…You can get ascended weapons etc. (Also guaranteed 2gold)

If you have a friend there I think you can ask for a invite (Party > Join friend) before he spawns if the server isn’t full.

I think Dragons should run around like normal mobs.
I don’t like how world bosses are just 10% of their bodies,the rest is just useless…
Lets face it,we fight Heads and Claws and not the whole dragon,I think the fight should be more dynamic,I think all dragons should have a walking animation and actually run around the map and not being stationary.

Way better than the one we have now. But I can see why they removed it,but if only Longbow had stronger skill effects,it think it looks so bland right now,I only use it because I like it more than the Rifle

Lightning’s hair is more “spike-y” like the one with the flower,but the other one is less spike-y but it’s actually the same hairstyle she uses.

I like most of the Human green area,I hate the deserts,the Harathi Hinterlands centaur area,the centaur camps,etc…
Also I like snow landscapes,so the Norn area is very relaxing to me.

I hate the Asura starting area,I think it feels like a swamp,it’s so dark and the hi tech stuff just don’t fit.

I KINDA like the Charr starting area because it’s Ascalon and all,but I kitten hate Black Citadel…It’s a freakin city made of IRON,sometimes I can actually feel the heat of it from my monitor lol

Come on Anet,all MMORPGs right now have capes.

Archeage is amazing because of the heroic feel you have with your cape/mount running around the world and helping the weak.

I tend to run pass defeated/ people need ressing to ensure I do some damage to the champ in WvW including capturing a land or camp.

I do that more than I would like to.

When I play sPvP (which is a bit rare),I start with my Warrior.
Then I die to a Mesmer,and think “Wow,stupid profession,its so OP”
Then I switch to my Mesmer (I feel ashamed),and I die to a Thief.
“Wow,stupidly overpower profession….” and I switch to my Thief.

Then I die to a Ranger
“kitten …Ranged looks like the way to go,Melee is sobad”

Then I switch to my Ranger…

I should just accept the fact that people are way better than me in sPvP,and there is no bad profession,but bad players.

They are like “Prestige armors”.
You just get them for looks,to show off,etc…
But unfortunately everyone thinks like that so that armor isn’t that special anymore

Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but I don’t think there will be any surprises.

According to the data mined stuff we already got everything that the data mining guy found,so,unless ArenaNet actually updates the game tomorrow so they can enable the surprise sometime later in the day,tomorrow will be just a common day in Tyria,unfortunately.

My first character’s birthday is in October,so yeah…This month in GW2 means nothing to me since I don’t get any gifts and stuff.
At least people who had a headstart or bought the game on the same day it was released got something for Gw2’s birthday.

Lets see…

• I never have more than 100g with me because I’m addicted to Mystic Forge
• When I have more than 100g,or enough to buy a stack (250) of rare weapons I’ll spend it and try my luck at the MF.
• I got Zap from MF when I bought 90g worth of Swords,sold it for 700g (I think) and wasted it all on more rares,and I got nothing from it…My “richness” lasted like 10 hours.
• I thought that using random rares (like 1 hammer,1 axe,1 sword and 1 bow) had a higher chance at precursors (with the drawback of getting any precursor,even the cheap ones).
• Got The Hunter with random rares like I said above,sold it for 900g and bought 750 rare Shortbows,got nothing,I was poor again,this time I got poor really fast (I had 900g with me for like 5 hours)

• I just can’t play with so much gold in my inventory,I think it is a waste if it is just laying there…but I also regret so much when I waste it all and get poor again…to the point of making me stop playing the game I like.

• I always stop playing if I fail at the Mystic Forge,and come back after 1 month,farm,get money again,waste it and stop playing again etc…

• My first character was a Thief,but I despise other thieves because I used to hate Assassins in GW1 because of Random Arena.

• I stopped caring about meta,now I happily use my main (Warrior) with a Sword/Shield build,because I love the feeling of having a Shield.

• I despise Greatsword warriors (most specifically Norn Male Warriors with CoF armor and Molten Greatsword),I think they only made them because of CoF farm and not because they love warriors (like me)

• I also like to use Hammer or Sword/Sword for lulz

• I usually don’t say “Thanks” when people ress me in World Bosses because I think people don’t care if they get a Thanks or not,but I actually feel bad for not saying it.

• If I’m the only one dead,and people actually stop what they are doing to ress me,then I feel obliged to say Thanks,and I try to return the favor and I keep on eye on them,and if they die,I’ll stop what I’m doing to ress them (even if I die again in the process)

I fail to see how a Zephyr Rucksack is easier to do than a cape,seriously.

I would gladly pay 800 Gems for at least an outfit with a cape in it (but just the cape would be better)

If you add someone to your friend list the other player should be able to accept the request or deny it,just like in all other games.

Since clipping is the issue,why not make it exclusive to Humans and make something else for the other races?

Capes are very simple to design,I’m sure your artists would have no problem in creating one. You guys makes backpieces way more elaborated than a cape (Holographic Wings,Zephyr Rutsack,the Vine,etc…)

I freaked out when I saw that set on Dulfy,I was so happy until I realized it was a outfit…Now THAT is a letdown.

I hate outfits because there is no variety if you see someone using it too,people always use the same dyes too (Abyss,Celestial…) and the worst part about that outfit: Helmet. I hate helmets,I didn’t created a character with a cool hair to hide it under a helmet.

Also,I think ArenaNet should start selling gem armors by parts instead of only a full set.

I would gladly pay 250 gems for a Phalanx Boots for example,but I’ll not pay 800 gems for a full Phalanx set if I don’t care about the gloves,shoulders,etc…

If Gem Store is the only way they are adding new things into the game,at least make it better… ;_;

I don’t know if this is just me,but I always regret something (way too far in the story or a very high level to actually start again) when I create my characters.

My main problem is hair color.
I create a character with a said armor set in mind,and dye colors I look forward to use,for example,blue ice.

Then I create my character with blue hair to match her armor color.
The problem is because when I want to change my armor because I got bored of that color theme,the hair looks SO out of place that I need to buy a hairstylist everytime I change my armor.

Also,when creating female characters with accessories,I also dye it the color I’ll use later on (for example,pink) and again,if I change my armor to something that isn’t pink,it looks very out of place and stands out more than I would like to.

And one last thing,I create more humans than I would like to.
I always end up deleting my characters that are not human at lv40~50,I hate it.

I’ve seen Asura Ranger like 10~ times,they are the most out of place.
But they look good with a pet,because usually the pet (Drake,etc..) are bigger than them and I think it looks cool

Charr was my second favorite race for a Ranger,because as someone else said,they use devourers already,also I like their Cultural Medium armor

I miss Fort Aspenwood so much.

Being a Kurzick and having to defend a whole fortress was so fun,it is a different way to PvP.

You had to have some defensive skills on your skillbar,like;

Necromancers using wells on gates,rangers using spirits,ritualists placing offensive spirits on gates or defensive (Shelter,etc..) spirits to protect Gunther and the NPCs.

It is like a tower defense game,we need to have that back even if it is only a minigame! please!

PS: I know this thread has been created a lot,but we need to get their attention ! the PvP mode right now is boring because we have no choice,it is always the capture game mode,it gets boring after a while!

Looks like everyone is killing them,I’m using them to level up my Necromancer right now (lv11) and obviously getting bad drops since I’m only level 11.

Yes,you may get something you don’t want like The Bard instead of Dawn,but still…random rares = Named exotics everywhere

I don’t feel a bond with any of my characters, because I feel like I’m forced to play in berserker’s gear with a specific weapon for each class. Examples: My elementalist pretty much had to play D/D because it was the only viable build at the time D/D was popular. After D/D was over, Anet buffed the staff a bit, so now staff is pretty much the only viable option for Elementalist. Same with my Ranger. I wanted to play with a longbow so badly, but it got nerfed into the ground so I had to play with the shortbow, no matter how much I disliked using it.

This is what is preventing me from bonding with any of my characters. The lack of paths I can take to customize my character. I feel like I could have spent millions of hours customizing my character in WoW because there was so much armor to choose from. SO MUCH! I admit, I was very disappointed when I came to Guild Wars 2 and there wasn’t much armor at all to choose from.

But it’s not just the armor, it’s the fact that I could choose to be a tank, a healer, or a dps in WoW, but I feel like Anet has reduced this to strictly Dps or nothing. I honestly feel like I could bond a lot more with my characters if I could 1) Customize my armor A LOT more. 2) Actually choose how I can play my character. 3) Actually be able to choose a class role. I realize that Anet wanted to move away from class roles, and I hate to say this, but it’s just not working. Sure it’s more of a challenge, but it defeats the purpose of working in a group when you’re all dps and die easily.

If these things were done, I’d feel more of a bond with my character.

This isn’t the truth for me anymore.

I have a Warrior main,and I used to play with GS / Rifle only,but since that CoF Zerker Warrior trend started I just didn’t care anymore,and I started using the weapons I want in PvE.

I’m using Sword/Shield – Longbow in PvE right now,and I feel so good with it; high mobility,ok damage,the block on the shield is so fun on world bosses (that actually aren’t giants like Behemoth,but Priest Lyssa or Grenth etc..)

I also use Axe/Shield and Mace/Shield,but I’m planning on using Hammer next,I just need to find a good skin and I will use hammer too.

If you are talking about PvE,just think like that: Everything works in PvE unless it is CoF1 Elitist zerk warriors group,then you are fated to use the boring GS #2 spam

Yes,I love my Warrior,she (or he?) already used 3 Total Makeover kits,because I care so much about her looks!

She was originally a cute female warrior,but then I noticed I only had female chars and 1 male Thief,and I decided that my Warrior was going to be male too.

It felt great,warriors are usually males,but then I changed my mind and went back to female,because even if male warriors are kitten,a cute looking girl with a bright and celestial looking sword/shield is just..HNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Try being inside Fire Elemental (Boss) when he spawns,real terror :o

If I use,say,Dagger Storm on a combo field,it only triggers once right?

It will only send 1 bolt of X (Fire bolts,Stunning bolts,etc..) or it will keep throwing bolts until it ends?

Because the “Whirl Combo” thingy only appears once,when you trigger it

When I’m trying for precursor,I usually buy batches of 300 weapons or so and I get like ~10 exotics If I’m lucky,maybe 1 or 2 named.

But when I’m mystic forgin’ the rares I get from world bosses (random rares,like 1 warhorn,2 spears,1 pistol etc) I get an exotic pretty often,and most of the time they are named.

I’ve done all the bosses today (temples,etc..) and used the MF with the rares,and I got:

Faithful (Axe)
Naga Fang (GS)
And Yakkington Leggings

So,with ~15 (?) rares I got 3 exotics,and all of them were named.

I’m almost sure this isn’t just me being “lucky”,I think the exotic drop rare is higher with different weapons than using the same weapon (i.e 4 GS),but of course you can’t just want to get your Dawn for your Sunrise trying with random weapons,but who knows…maybe it can also drop precursors with a very little higher chance?

Ok…so,that guy from UK is also lagging after a certain hour.

I’m having the same problems,after 14:00 GMT -3 the game is UNPLAYABLE,I rubberband a lot,skills take 15~ seconds to activate,if in big events,I get disconnected and throw back to the character select screen.

Now that I said it,actually the game stops lagging 2:00 GMT -3,EXACTLY 12 hours after,coincidence? I think not
