I swear I was reading the post and I was like “What does this thread have to do with legs——-OH I GET IT”

I just think that if ArenaNet happened to translate the game to,lets say,Portuguese,I think they should choose the pros (voice actors) and not random people.

Ubisoft does invite random voice actors to make Portuguese voice overs in Assassins Creed IV (I don’t know about the new ones,I don’t even know if they are translated) and they are “Okay” (8/8)

But Warner Bros…dang it,Shadow of Mordor voice acting in portuguese is just…HNGGGGGGGGG,even Goku voice actor is there,they hired all the great voice actors to do it,awesome.

I don’t think they will do it.
It would be very expensive to hire all the voice actors needed for other languages.

And I think a big % of the people on the internet knows either,English,Spanish or French,so playing in any of these language isnt a problem.

Btw,I think there is a Chinese VO in the chinese client,I doubt they left it in english.

I’m sure we will have peaceful areas in HoT,and even better,peaceful forests,which is one of my favorite environments.

I had a lot of fun in Asuran areas from GW:EN,it wasnt that peaceful (a lot of raptors packs running around) but it had a cool feeling to it.

I’m a big fan of forests and snow enviroments,and I hate deserts or hot places.
I hate the Ascalon area because it looks like an area in constant 120°F and I can actually feel the heat just by looking at it. It makes me sick lol

Hnnnnnnnng,I just hope Druid gets really cool looking skills.
Druids reminds me of Battleforge,if anyone here played it,the Nature deck had one of the most beautiful particle effects ever.

I hope they can create some kind of Shrine with their Elite skill,healing orbs and all that.
Some skill like entangle but of course,not as strong,a healing or protection shrine,some kind of wind or breeze and nature stuff.

I don’t even play Ranger that way (like a Druid/Shaman,she isn’t even wearing Medium Armor actually) but I would change my ranger theme without a doubt if the Druid looks a little bit like I’m imagining.

For my two main chars,I hope Warrior don’t get:

Melee Staff,please just no. This is not a kung f..u game. (The forum is censoring it,but you get it)

Guardian:

I just want the Longbow for Guardian,nothing else.

Did you guys played Dragon’s Dogma? The Magick Archer class…I want that in Guild Wars 2.

Guardians could use Bow imbued with magic,not regular arrows,but magic arrows.
Google Dragons Dogma Magick Archer if you need an example.
Another example would be Hank from Dungeon & Dragons cartoon,but he is less epic.

I was thinking about it.

When they release the long awaited HoT,they will want to expand it,right? I don’t think they will release an expansion and just leave it there the way it was released,we must get to Mordremoth afterall,and I don’t think the map where he is will be ingame with the release of HoT,probably the map will be locked and they will unlock it with future updates.

So,I don’t think any Living Story after HoT release will take place outside of the Maguuma. And after the story in Maguuma is finished,they probably will release another expansion.

Basically,the core game (GW2) will be “dead” (not really) for everyone without expansions,right?
With (probably) only balance patches and holiday events being released for players without HoT and outside of the Maguuma jungle.

I just want to hear your opinions on this. Of course I’ll buy the expansion,it looks promising (welp,we will be able to fly,possibly like in Archeage,this is the best of both worlds since I dont like Archeage but I like their “flying” system and I love GW2)

Lv80 Mesmer,Elementalist,Necromancer in full exotics,because meh.

Elementalist = Asura with T3,I just liked the armor but not the race,so I just created him to use Asura light T3,when I got bored of it I just deleted him. (and of course I salvage the armor etc)

Mesmer = Bought like 2 Hairstyle kits for her,she had TA set (luckly I deleted her after the wardrobe change,so I got a free TA set skin for my whole account – unfortunately I don’t have any light armor characters LOL)

Necromancer = He was pretty cool,but I failed to create a “necromancer-y” look for him,he looked like a King of some sort…kinda weird.
Also,I felt forced to play Condition Damage,which I dislike.
Not the build itself,but being FORCED to play a build,I don’t know…I just couldn’t play him without thinking “I wish I could use X trait/build,but…woops…it is worse than the build I’m currently using”

I thought I could play with pretty much anything like GW1 Necromancer.
If at least MM was viable in PvE…I would re-create without thinking twice

I also deleted a lv65 ranger Sylvari because,well…he was a Sylvari,and the hate grew on me because his running animation was like THE WORST

I also deleted countless lv40 ~50 characters ,but these 3 (4 with the Sylvari) were my most progressed (deleted) characters.

It looks way better,I remember when I started playing I had to look for the “Download” page for ages before I found it

If you ask me I don’t even remember where it was,but the page wasnt called “Download” I’m sure of it

Did I read"Bi weekly grind" ? Really? Are you guys forced to play LS? also,I think you don’t know what grind means,you are not grinding,you are playing the story,and if you want to,you might not play it if you consider it a grind.

I don’t think shield is actually NEEDED for any class,all other off hand weapons are better than the shield IMO,damage wise or utility wise…but you know…shield looks so cool and I use it on my Guardian and on my Warrior in open world PvE (not dungeons of course or fractals,I don’t want to slow down people doing speed runs) and I have so much fun with it.

I think you should use what you think it is fun in PvE,this is what the game is all about…fun.

Is the shield viable? Maybe…
Is it optimal in PvE? Nope.
Is it fun/cool? Yes!

I would totally use shield on my Engineer too if weapons weren’t his main thing :P

Tequatl should drop a Hashi IMO,it suits him better.

I hope the battle against Mordremoth is like the first Karka Queen,he running around and destroying mountains in his path while we catch up to him and injure him a bit,then he continues to destroy everything in his path until we catch up him again etc…until the last part,where he dies and his dead corpse instantly makes all the desert area in a huge forest

There is a video on youtube where the guys gets 2 kudzu back to back,iirc he gets the first one,open his storage and leaves the kudzu there,when he went back to MF to try again he got another Kudzu.

And looks like his storage is full of Dusks and Dawns

So yeah it is possible…

I think everyone will have a different opinion on this,but here is mine:

1. What should I expect in Guild Wars 2,

- The greatest combat system ever created in a MMORPG < This is my opinion
- Beautiful graphics,maybe even some breathtaking landscapes
- Giant bosses,dragons,rawr!
- A very helpful community,anytime you need help in a in-game event or a troublesome champion/veteran mob,you can ask for help in /map chat and I’m sure people will show up to help!

2. What should be on the top of my Priority list,
- Well,just focus on the game to learn the basics (the New Player Experience recently added will help you with this) and do what you want,maybe collect all mats (materials) you see,with the logging axe,mining pick and harvesting tool,so when you decide to craft something you will have some mats to start,or even if you want to sell them later on,so you can get some gold

3. Which Race/ Profession combinations are the best (In your own opinions)
- There is no such thing as best combinations,because races don’t have great advantages over other races,just pick the one you like the most!
Since you asked for opinions,mine is: Human/Guardian,because I think humans looks the best in any armor,and because Guardian is awesome (also very easy to play,you should be a guardian!)

4. What should I do as soon as I emerge myself into the vast world?
- Do events,gather materials,explore! All these things I mentioned gives EXP,yes,you get EXP just for exploring and looking around the beautiful world of Tyria!

5. And most of all, what should I do to maximize the fun out of this game?
- Just play the game at your own pace. Please don’t rush the game because you can do pretty much everything a lv80 (max level) can at any level,so there is no reason to rush.

The only advantage for being lv80 is because you can customize your character with all armors in the game (once you have your max level gear) because you will not have to change it,unlike the lower level armors,which you change constantly because a lv10 armor will be obsolete once you get to,lets say,lv30,so you really don’t want to waste the transmutation charges (turns armor into “costumes”,just for looks) on low lvl armor.

If you want to look good while leveling,you can also buy costumes from the Gem Store (costs real money / gems),once you buy it,you can freely use it anytime you want,and it will never be obsolete (also you can use it on any character on your account)

I also have so much fun playing my 80’s,but I feel like wasting time while leveling another alt to lv80 so I can enjoy them too.

That suggestion is great,because it rewards you for playing the game,there is no drawback imo.

But I think The Shatterer has too many…hm…I don’t know how they are called…Pixels? Polygons? I heard something about some minis being impossible to do because they have the same polygons (again,I dont know if this is the right name for it) as the real version,and lets face it,The Shatterer is very detailed,and has so many particles flying around/inside him it is insane.

I hate it when people go to Southsun Cove,don’t even bother to look at the events going on (like " 3 / 4 14:50 minutes left to spawn Karka Queen" and ask

“KARKA QUEEN SOON?” “Karka Queen died?”

I ask myself how this kind of people are max level.

My favorite reference from ArenaNet is the Black beast of ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH from GW1,amazing boss name.

Doesnt MF actually affect those new bags (I’m not saying about any other bag in the game,just the new ones)

Because I had a buff that said something like “+30% Magic find (while opening bags)” or something like that.

Maybe these new bags works the same way PvP bags do (they are affected by MF)

ArenaNet would be swimming in money if they release capes in the Gem Store,people would buy it no matter the price. 800 gems seems about right.

And if they find out a way to create capes that are not CPU-heavy and they overcome the problem that is preventing them from creating capes,the rest would be just SO easy,because,well,there is no much thinking in designing a cape,they could just release a white cape that can be dyed and with the guild emblem on it,ta-da,infinite ways of creating a cape with only 1 model made,and with the amazing “item designers” (sorry I don’t know what they are called,but you get it…the people that create items like Zephyr backpiece etc) they would create it in a blink of an eye

One does not simply don’t gamble at the mystic forge,it is addictive.

You see people with random luck like throwing 4 random rares from World Bosses and getting precursors,the urge to try it too is very tempting

The Dreamer: Auto Attacks knocks back the target (it is an unicorn afterall)

Meteorlogicus: Changes the weather when draw,making it rain or snow,lagging the enemy’s potato PC

Frostfang: 50% chance of freezing the enemy,your next attack on a frozen enemy will break the ice = insta death

Sunrise: (Sunburst – 50% Chance of creating a huge beam of light,damaging foes and healing allies hit by the beam)

There is a freakin spider in Temple of Grenth that aways immobilize me for like 20seconds (its not just one,its like 5 little spiders using the same immobilize skill at the same time = 20 seconds of immobilize)

Its annoying,I have the reflex of using CC remove right when I see a condition,so instead of waiting all the 5 spiders hit,I cleanse it after the first and the 4 other can stack their conditions (5 seconds of immobilize each)

Another one:

- Sometimes I get compliments from people in LA (like “Glorious shoulders looks great,nice character!” or “Nice choice of dyes/armor” “Where did you get that shoulder? it looks great on your character” etc and I just pretend I’m afk because I get embarrassed when I get compliments.

- Sometimes I use things that I bought from the Gem Store,like the Panda hat,just to show them off,because I’m actually pretty bored from the look of my engineer already,but I can’t change it for something else because I think that if I paid for it,I must use it otherwise it would be a total waste…

- I bought the Hairstyle makeover kit for my new engineer,got the new hairstyle with the new teal color,and then bought the Panda hat…genius. (The hat hides the character’s hair)

- My least favorite kind of armor is medium,but this is also the same kind of armor (skin) that I bought the most from the Gem Store
- This also makes me use them because I feel that it would be a waste if I didn’t used the gem store armor on all my medium armor characters (Thief,Engineer and Ranger)

- I bought the Ceremonial Outfit to use while leveling my newly created characters,but after they are lv80 I prefer to create my own armor combo,and I feel bad because now I have an outfit just standing there on my Hero panel,since I don’t have low level characters anymore I don’t use it on anyone

-I build characters to purposely run against the “meta” just because. For example, I main a dual pistol thief. What’s on my 2nd weapon set? Another dual pistol set (the first set is just for stacking). I also have a bearbow Ranger, but without the bear or bow part.

-I used to say “Thank You,” whenever I get rezzed 100% of the time. Nowadays, it’s more like 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, I feel terrible inside for not saying “ty.”

I also feel bad when I don’t say “Thank you”,but I also don’t like to say “Thank you” everytime because..well,I think people don’t really care if they get a thank you or not,but If I don’t say so I’ll feel bad

Also I use out of the meta builds a lot. like Sword Shield warrior in pve and Pistol/Pistol thief

Antique gold is one of the best “gold” dyes out there,it is like 100x better than the actual “Gold” dye,I used it for a long time for the gold parts of my armor,but now I’m using the White Gold because it looks a bit better

My auto loot is on Shift and I love it.

Also,you don’t have to “spam” it,just kill all mobs and then press Shift…you don’t have to press AoE loot everytime you kill a mob,not like the loot will disappear that fast.

Sometimes I die while doing an event,run all the way from the waypoint back to the fight and my loot is still there.
