SpellOfIniquity.1780

I think of golems as a last resort. I’ve done a lot of WvW and I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a server that abuses them to any noticeable extent. Occasionally you’ll have your keep or towers rolled with a dozen omegas but it’s not something that’s out of hand. On top of that, as others have mentioned, well placed siege can bring them down pretty easily. Ever seen an omega stand under a pot of oil when someone has burning oil mastery?

The real problem with Fractals

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Fighting Mai is like fighting a Thief… Not hard, just annoying as all godkitten hell. I’ve done a lot of Fractals. To the point the achievement has stopped counting (Fractal Frequenter stops at 500). And I can honestly say when Mai comes up, unless I’m the host I leave and do the whole thing over again. Fracts are pretty fun and I don’t mind if they take a while, I have the luxury of being able to sink my time in to them. But Mai is no longer fun to me, nor was she in the first place. That fight sucks. The end.

Remember the stealth

in WvW

SpellOfIniquity.1780

It is highly unpleasant when good glass thief put you on your kitten with 2-3 hits but it is usually your own fault. Don’t go on glass zerk builds in WVW.

So thief can go glass cannon and survive but not other classes ? logic !

Stealth is my only defense while I play glass cannon, if stealth was nerfed I would die like the rest of you and I don’t want to, I just want to backstab and feel good about myself.

Thief must be able to kill any other classes because we cannot partecipate to zergs, and we are also pro players the rest of you must l2p.

Conditions are broken ! I have 0 condi cleanse because I need to invest everything in stealth/burst.

No but seriously, stealth needs to be reworked, go play in OS and count how many thiefs are there… a lot ? you know why ? because it’s the best class for 1vs1 and people play it because they want easy fights, they don’t want to learn how to manage cds or dodges, they just want to spam.

+1

Everything here = truth.
Thieves are a medium weight profession. You don’t have to spec in to stealth or be glassy to win fights.. Thieves just seem to forget that Berserker stats and 100% stealth uptime aren’t the only options available to them. There are plenty of other ways to roll your Thief but because the vast majority would rather be a troll and get easy kills they blame everyone for needing to L2P.. You’re the ones giving yourselves a bad name, not us.

Stealth uptime?

SpellOfIniquity.1780

He’s engaging. What he’s doing is stealthing off of mobs. I’m trying to avoid the thick of enemies he’s using to his advantage but he won’t fight me in a clearing.
Also, I’m not chasing. I enjoy challenge and this guy is giving me a hard time. I want to beat him. If he thinks he’s trolling me that’s fine. I’m not upset until a ragequit and if anything I’m having fun.
On the subject of conditions, I’m a heavy condition build. 70% duration and 2,369 condition damage with all my buffs. Still can’t burst this guy down and I can do it to anyone else. So what ever build he’s using it’s good.

Stealth uptime?

in WvW

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Before anyone goes off the wall on me telling me to QQ this is not a complaint or “nerf this plz” thread. I do a lot of roaming and I enjoy having duels. Although most people don’t seem as enthusiastic about it as I do, for instance jumping on my corpse after I had bowed to them at the beginning of the fight, there are still some people who enjoy the sport.

Anyway, I came across a Thief who was milling around our spawn picking off people making their way to the keep. 95% of the time I can burn a Thief down before they know what hit them. I don’t consider myself above average but I think I can confidently say I’m a good fighter at the very least. So I approached this fellow not too concerned of the outcome but my lord.. I’ve fought plenty of Thieves and I’ve never fought one with so much stealth uptime. Either he was invisible for 20~ seconds or he’d be visible for less than 1 second. I’d see him in one place, he’d disappear, and reappear somewhere else before vanishing again. I was trying to peg him with a Corrupt Boon but he’d vanish again before the animation would even finish and I’d just end up poisoning myself. Is there some way I can counter this? He managed to down me but fortunately a few people were nearby to give me a res. I’m currently scouting around hoping he’ll come back, I enjoy a tough fight but I don’t know how to defend against someone with this much stealth uptime.

And for reference, I’m almost certain he’s using Lyssa runes, and he’s definitely using a Pistol.

Better elites please

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

| : How in the world are our Elites bad? Plague form is insane with a condition build and Lich form pegs people for like 6k on a power build. Flesh golem is a bit buggy but you don’t even have to be a minion master for it to be pretty useful. If anything I’d say we have some of the better Elites.

Just brainstorming for the heck of it though, but.. An Elite similar in nature to Life Transfer would be awesome if for what ever reason ANet decided to give all professions a new Elite.
This ability could be called something like.. Possession? A 3 target maximum Elite that when activated slowly transfers life from the selected enemies to the Necromancer for 30 seconds. Dealing damage over time, reducing the opponent(s) movement speed by 15% and refilling the Life Force bar continuously regardless of whether the Necromancer is in or out of Death Shroud.
Before anyone shouts “OP” because it totally does sound OP.. The damage over time would be very small. It’d be something like a weak bleed that could compliment condition builds by acting as a physical damage tic again similar to how Life Transfer works (in the sense that it hits an enemy multiple times).

Skill lag gone?

in WvW

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Just a thought, and I by no means expect ANet to implement such a thing, but I would consider extra large maps to somewhat resolve the issue of blobbing. Say we make a map twice, or at least one and a half times the size of EotM. People are always going to blob, but if we have massive, massive maps like that, Especially if only 1 or 2 waypoints are available, I would bet we’d see a lot more small scale warfare. People would branch off in to large havoc groups of 15 – 20 and you’d find a bunch of groups wandering around instead of one gigantic one versus another gigantic one. It wouldn’t be efficient to have everyone in one place on such a massive map because it would take too long to get to the desired locations in time to either defend or capture.
This wouldn’t necessarily prevent skill lag, but it could possibly help if not everyone is in one place at a time.

2v1 in WvW Working as intended?

in WvW

SpellOfIniquity.1780

There are a lot of times where we allow an enemy server to take another enemy’s keep. Why? It is more valuable to get a fully fortified keep reset than to win that particular fight.

That is completely different from what I am talking about, that is just letting the other side do the work, then taking it from them.

I’m taking about the two other servers not attacking each other, and only focusing on one side in the fights. I was online for hours last night, and very rarely saw Camps/Towers switch from BG to JQ or vice verse. They only went from TC to either BG or JQ. Another example from last night was when BG and JQ had two zerges hit North camp. BG attacked until they were nearly wiped, then they pulled out and JQ attacked, when JQ was nearly wiped they pulled out and BG attacked..

Thats the kind of thing that requires communication from outside the game.. IMHO…

As a Jade Quarrian I can tell you straight up… Our server will never side with Blackgate for anything. And as far as I’m aware, never has… BG and JQ are mortal enemies. We may occasionally ignore each other for the greater good but we’ll never plan to double team another server.

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Whew, impressive numbers considering it’s without stacks!
I’m debating on coming back to my Engineer so I can try out a new world of conditions. I’m currently sitting on 2,369 condition damage with 70% duration (with all buffs [Corruption, Applied Strength, Tuning Crystals, Veggie Pizza’s]) on my Necromancer and love being a condition nuke ( ; But I enjoy that Engineers can more easily take advantage of using power in kind with condition damage. That and kits are just plain fun.

Anyway nice set up. Sometimes buildcrafting is fun just to see what kind of numbers you can pump out, or in some cases soak up, even if it might not be totally viable in practice.

As a Necro the extra long Fear they steal from me is much more annoying x,x. Still, I wouldn’t exactly call it OP. Maybe if it were something more unique to the Thief, but because a Warrior for example, can chain stun me until next Tuesday can’t say this Bone Crack ability needs to be removed.

Top 5 useful profession in WvW & Bottom 3

SpellOfIniquity.1780

I’ve leveled one of each profession to 80, with the exception of Elementalist, and can say from experience I believe these to be the best at what they are listed. Just an opinion, as any profession can be effective if played properly.
I also solo roam as a Necromancer more than anything and although I’m a condition build I can honestly say that Guardian and Ele roamers are a) few and far between and b) usually some of the easiest targets.

I can see that a lot of people underestimate me when I’m roaming on my ele. Just keep in mind that a skilled D/D ele will collect your loot bag. So many thief, warrior, engi and necro bags I have collected… Still working on a good rotation to take on mesmers with though.

Also, I see a lot of guardian roamers in T1. Guardians specced for DPS are just stupid OP. Naturally high sustain and armor, lots of condi removal, blind spam, CC and stability. The only thing they lack is mobility.

I understand that. Like I’ve said, any profession can be effective if played properly. I’m going by averages not individuals. I’ve come across a few very good Ele’s but 95% of the time they melt before they have time to react. They’re a powerful profession but I just don’t consider them to be great for roaming. Still, I roam as a Necromancer which most people consider terrible for said role. So, I obviously can’t say that there’s no such thing as a solo Ele that could wreck me.

Zerg warfare
~ Elementalist
~ Guardian
~ Necromancer
~ Warrior
~ Mesmer

- Thief
- Engineer
- Ranger

> Elementalist’s provide tons of support and backline damage. Although if spec’d for DPS they’re about as brittle as antique china a single Meteor Shower can demolish the enemies frontline.
> Guardians, like the Elementalist’s, provide tons of support. They’re great for frontlining, commanding and if played well can be a real challenge to bring down. Without the support of a Guardian or an Elementalist, a fairly large group can crumble pretty fast.
> Conditions are valuble in a player versus player environment. They can tick long after attacks have been cast and can be easily spread from person to person. Whether spec’d for power, condition damage or straight up facetanking a Necromancer can fill any of these roles quite well. In zerg combat however, spreading conditions or frontlining with a Plague form blind spam can be a massive help for mitigating damage and putting the enemy on the defensive.
> Warriors have the best of all worlds. Damage, sustain, utility and speed. Best suited for a frontline scenario the Warrior is generally the primary source of damage.
> Although their utility isn’t always obvious, Veils, Portal’s and Time Warps can hugely improve a groups ability to sneak up on their enemies, bomb them with massive numbers or speed up their damage by a significant amount. It may be a matter of time and place but that place always has the potential to mean the time.
> Some might say that Thieves can be a big help in zergs and I nod to those who play them well. Unfortunately picking off backliners isn’t as easy as it sounds and it’s rare a Thief provides much utility to a zerg battle. Still, they have their potential and if used properly they can definitely be an asset.
> The Engineer has a lot of potential but is met with the unfortunate foe known as Retaliation. Although they can provide a good deal of backline damage, it is quickly thrown back and the role of DPS is already filled by many other professions. Thus rendering the Engineer without much of a place.
> Ranger’s, if played properly, can be incredible for picking off the downed or those trying to escape. Unfortunately, Spirits and pets die almost immediately and Elementalists and Guardians provide more support than their Healing Spring can provide. Still, don’t underestimate the sniper. Without the downed being finished you would have a lot more rallies going on.

Havoc
~ Guardian
~ Warrior
~ Elementalist
~ Ranger
~ Mesmer

- Thief
- Necromancer
- Engineer

Duo’s
Engineer & Engineer
Mesmer & Thief
Necromancer & Warrior

Engi + Engi, especially if talented are a kitten scary pair to cross paths with. Conditions and/or heavy direct damage everywhere and lots of sustain. Mesmer and Thief, with all their stealth and mind games make them a very scary pair as well. Between losing your targets constantly and being hit for massive numbers I’d argue just the 2 could wreck a group of 6. Necromancer and Warrior sounds a strange pair but with their sustain and ability to stand their ground to the last minute they’re a pair that won’t soon be running.

Solo
~ Thief
~ Mesmer
~ Ranger
~ Warrior
~ Engineer

- Necromancer
- Guardian
- Elementalist

Thief, as we all know was made for solo roaming. Mesmer’s are excellent duelists and can hold their own against uneven numbers about as well as a Thief. A Ranger, assuming well played, can be a very dangerous opponent. They are also arguably the fastest camp flippers. Warriors are fast, high damage, good survivability and can adapt to just about any situation. Engineers are a wild card. Either they’re terrible or can solo a group of 5. Necromancer’s are slow, but whether they’re power, tank or condition they can bring people down pretty fast. Guardians are meant for group warfare, it’s about as simple as that. Elementalists can be very quick and either do insane damage or have great survivability but which ever they choose it usually won’t play out in their favor when solo.

[NA] Gold league: Final Ranking Predictions

in WvW

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

We’re going to come in third because our server has for some reason forgotten how to havoc..
Having solo or small groups of people to harass the enemy camps, yaks and towers does a lot more for the server than people are aware of. Prior to seasons it was a lot easier to get away with soloing these sorts of things but since seasons started TC and BG have been not only zerging harder than ever but also sending out multiple havoc groups. While on JQ we’re doing nothing but barely clinging to our territory and neglecting to prevent enemy towers and camps from being upgraded.
I literally gave up trying to do it myself because I’d always end up running in to 3 – 5 people. Some can win those fights, I can’t.. I’m simply not skilled enough.

At this point, I’m starting to predict us placing 3rd in gold if we keep neglecting to havoc. Solo can’t be done with how many small groups the other servers have.

Soldiers

in Necromancer

SpellOfIniquity.1780

I have used two armor sets in the game recently while roaming; Soldier+ Cavalier and also Zerker armor. In my experience, Yes, you can use soldier and roam pretty good, but it depends on where you put it.

Having as little pieces as possible is pretty much the goal and its better on bigger armor pieces, never accessories. I actually hit harder on my personal soldier set because my zerker armor + Cavalier accessories is pretty bad compared to zerker accessories + Soldier/cavalier armor when building a balanced build. So yes, you can work it in, but you have to make sure you still have lots of zerker related pieces because otherwise it will literally take forever and you will just be rolled over by the next incoming zerg. Base damage is good on soldier, yes, but critting can speed up fights hella fast and if you are critting, you might as well get crit damage.

This is my experience. so tl;dr, If you are roaming, you want to survive but not take forever because you arent escaping anything without death bodies. critting is needed.

:| Also, why are you bringing up Condi stuff when this is a direct damage stat talk, spellofiniquity? of course Dire has high damage, because the 3 main stats you need for condition damage are built into the traitlines and food. Condi, Condi duration, precision. Most Necromancers would build soldier are missing two key components to the perfect build; crit chance and crit damage. 1 of these gates another and its the one that is most sought after (crit chance).

I brought it up because he didn’t specify that it was a “direct damage talk.” He just asked if Soldier’s was viable.
Imho, it’s not unless you want to either make your enemy give up because they can’t kill you or you like to take forever to kill someone. Soldier Necro’s have terrible damage unless you’re mixing in other stats like Berserker. Either way, if you’re roaming, conditions are the way to go.

Also, I’m aware that most people hate turrets. But I always had good fun with them. If I had high condition damage, would it scale with the condition damage dealt by say, a Flame Turret?

Yep, I agree too. I had noticed this from day one when creating my character. I put a lot of work in to making my character look how I want them to look. And ever since I started playing this game I’ve wanted a ponytail. It looks casual, and on some outfits that’s exactly what’s needed, a casual touch. Not everything needs to be elaborate.

I also agree with what someone has said about more rugged hairstyles. I couldn’t tell you how many makeover and hairstyle kits I’ve bought, I’m always changing things up with my character and I would also love the option to make her look more suited for war, especially considering I spend most of my time in the Mists.

Still, I won’t press the matter. With the most recent additions I’ve been absolutely thrilled. The one hairstyle in particular, the shoulder length one, is absolutely gorgeous.

Or, you can simply take the low road and roll a dire perplexity build that can’t be killed with backstabs before the thief is forced to retreat or bleeds / burns to death.

Lmao, maybe I’m misinterpreting this so I apologize if so, but… “The low road”? So rolling a condition build isn’t fair because we’re harder for a Thief to kill? Sorry.. But I can’t burst a Thief down in the 2seconds they’re visible before stealthing again. So I compensate by stacking as many conditions as I can before they disappear and hopefully either reappear downed or running with their tail between their legs.

Anyway, in regards to the subject at hand… I agree with just about everything people have said here. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who thinks it’s a bullsh** mechanic. Fortunately I’m a high condition damage Necromancer so most of the time they don’t cause me a lot of trouble… But again, as has been said here, if it’s a good Thief you pretty well can’t win because they’ll just keep resetting the fight. And that’s exactly what happens.
Thieves don’t need any nerfs. What they do need is some kind of risk versus reward for stealthing as a pose to being able to spam it at will. If you call that a nerf you’re forgetting that you don’t have to run a glassy build… Thieves are a medium weight profession. Berserker gear isn’t the only stat available to you, there are plenty of others to choose from. I’ve fought Thieves who run stealthless and I respect them like mad because they’re not abusing a broken mechanic. Not only that the stealthless ones are just as deadly, but at least I have a fair chance to defend myself.
Imho, anyone who says QQ when people say something needs to be done about perma stealth are one of two things; someone who has never played anything but a Thief, or someone who rolled a Thief so they could troll and don’t want their griefing abilities removed.

So, it may be RND… It also may be that if you spend a lot in TP your chances will increase significantly. Condition damage/duration question

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Also in regards to those talking about bleed duration, I understand I might be going a bit overboard with bleed duration but I enjoy stacking bleeds on top of bleeds when fighting people.

I wasn’t saying you shouldn’t stack bleeds. You just have a trait (or runes) that overstack, as in: some of it literally doesn’t do anything for you. If you dropped Hemophilia your bleed stacks would be exactly as high as they are now because the trait overshoots the 100% limit.

Ah, okay I understand. I may re-do my runes and remove the Hemophilia stat soon then. I’ll toy around with it some more for now.

As for numbers, for reference and for comparison;

Blood Curse: 15 1/2s ~ 2,193d
Rending Curse: 15 1/2s ~ 2,193d
Putrid Curse: 10 1/4s ~ 2,914d

Grasping Dead: 19 1/2s ~ 8,331d (bleed) – 10 1/2s (cripple)

Enfeebling Blood: 26 1/2 ~ 7,600d

Blood Is Power: 1m ~ 23,092d

- Not arguing with what you’ve said just wanted to post numbers straight from the game (looking at it). This is with all my stacks and food buffs.

Also, which runes would you suggest replacing? I’ve been thinking either Grenth, Undead or Necromancer as the replacements. I’ve used Undead in the past, and it shoots my condition damage up quite a bit because of the 5% toughness conversion but I enjoy duration a bit more because it makes it easier to stack.

Also in regards to those talking about bleed duration, I understand I might be going a bit overboard with bleed duration but I enjoy stacking bleeds on top of bleeds when fighting people. It just makes it that annoying condition you can never get rid of. And although I don’t use it, Blood Is Power lasts for 62seconds with this build so if I ever wanted to be extra annoying there’s that little gem.

Condition damage/duration question

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

I have been using a condition build for a while now and have gotten a pretty good routine down for stacking conditions on my opponents. However I’ve been wondering a few things I’m hoping someone here can answer;

My base condition damage I believe is somewhere around 1,500. In WvW, where I spend most of my time, I get around 2,200 condition damage with food buffs, all my stacks of corruption, Applied Strength and about 70% duration.
~ What is the maximum base condition damage I can have (even if I were to use a different build entirely)
~ And what is considered a good amount of condition damage/duration to have?

I’m not looking to overhaul my build so there’s no need to scrutinize. This build works extremely well for me and although I lack any real physical damage it has never proven an issue for me. Even Melandru rune Warriors are relatively easy for me to pressure down. I’m just curious if I have an optimal level of condition damage/duration as I don’t have a lot of gold currently to experiment with this in-game and sometimes find the build editor to give improper numbers.

Power DP Nerfed to the ground

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Thanks a lot Cogbyrn.

Life blast is ridiculous strong.

Why is that? (I just started leveling a necro). :P

Because there is a trait that will allow you to gain one stack of might every time you use Life Blast, because there is a trait that increases your precision 50% while in Death Shroud, and because there is a trait that allows you to pierce your targets and cause… I think it’s 3 stacks of vulnerability every time you hit someone.
Even untraited, with a power build you should hit something like 3 – 4k per hit, with a bunch of stacks of might I hear something like 8k just on autoattacks. I haven’t tried a build like this yet though so I’m not certain of those numbers. Either way, Life Blast hits like a semi on jet fuel if built for it.

Signet of Undeath

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Because you can trait to regain more life force from your abilities, and because many of your weapons generate life force with their attacks, 1% per 3seconds may not be much but it adds up. Although I agree with what others are saying, it’s rarely used and, it’s kind of a waste of a utility slot ~ if you’re a death shroud build it can actually be pretty awesome for sustained life force. You gain life force a lot of different ways meaning you don’t really need this signet, but at the same time, if you use it it just means you’ll constantly be refilling that bar. So if you’re using DS as your primary means of defense or offense, it’s a pretty decent signet. If you’re not using it very often, then yeah it’s pretty much useless. And because the cast time is so long for the active, it’s only real use is the passive.

Have you ever taught a full group of noobs how to run dungeons or fractals? I’ve broken my entire armor set and come out the end naked more than once doing so.. It’s not my duty to teach people how to play but when I get a full group of people that have no clue what they’re doing and are asking for help I don’t mind showing them the ropes, unfortunately that sometimes means at the cost of many, many deaths.

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Everyone’s too negative about these changes! Sure there are some glaring issues with the game but what game doesn’t have it’s problems? In an MMO, especially, problems with the game will be abundant. It’s next to impossible to cater to the whims of every players desire. And even in a world where the developers were capable of doing so, you’d have a pretty directionless and chaotic game with no foundation for a story or purpose behind it because everyone is going to want/like something different.

With the new wardrobe, allowing us to indefinitely change the appearances of our characters without changing the armor stats ~
Account-bound WXP, which will pool all of our character ranks in to one ~
Account-bound legendaries and ascended gear, which will mean even after equipped, legendaries and ascended gear will still be tradeable between our characters!~
And free trait resets, from our hero panel, any time we’re not in combat?!

I understand that some of these things should have been in the game from the start, but it’s not what they should have done that’s important, it’s that they’re doing it. So give some positive feedback for once! Thank you, ANet! I’m incredibly happy with all of the upcoming changes.

Now buff my Necromancer while no one’s looking >:3, gogogogogo!

There are also exploits/hacks for getting in to towers/keeps etc. that are a big issue. We’ve had thieves worming their way in to Klovan on a regular basis with no gates or walls open. Someone had said it’s a teleporting exploit, something to do with Infiltraitors Shot I can only imagine.

New Low: Kicked for Playing the Game.

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

2-man kick system is abusive and needs to be changed:

It happens again today, in Ascalon Catacombs. The party is running a record time dungeon run, nothing is wrong. Then the instance owners says: “I hate NPCs” because Hodgins bugs up and won’t open the door for the 2nd scepter in P1. I then make a joke and say “Ever feel like the people you work with are NPCs?” He kicks me out of the party.

I reported him in-game but it did not ask me for screen shots so I thought I’d post them here. Is there a more appropriate place for a thorough report?

This player’s account is: allpowerfullone.8462

Seriously, the GMs need to read how abusive this is as it is a perfect example of what is wrong with the party kicking system. He prompts a kick and then someone seconds it for no reason and pay attention to how disrespectful this player is. More proof that it is more often the kicker, that should be kicked. Not the kickee.

Can I get some kitten justice on this for once? Or is a-net ok with this type of behavior?
Look how confident this guy is that arena-net will not do anything to him.

How offended I am by what this person said to you I cannot even express. And I’m not even you, but I’d probably have lost my mind on them… Grats for keeping your cool, I’d probably have gotten banned faster than he would have if it were me talking <_<

Consume Conditions

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Actually yes, that’s exactly what it means. Especially considering that our class mechanic and defense is based on having just that, a high hp pool. No blocks, no stealth, no invulnerability, no teleports or other means to evade damage.
Based on that, our healing potential should at least double with every opponent that outnumbers us.

Flesh Wurm, Spectral Walk, Dark Path = teleports.

Consume Conditions

in Necromancer

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Imho, it’s better to heal at <80% health than >80% health. If you heal early your cooldown should be up by the time you need to use it again which will allow you to last longer in a fight given you’re not trying to facetank everything. I try to either heal early on or if my opponent is a condition user I try only to heal when I have around 2 conditions on me to make the health return more potent.
But as for your question, yes. It is kind of slow. And the heal itself considering how much health a Necro has, is kind of bad. But the 100% condition cleanse is amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone face first in to an enemy zerg in Plague form, gotten 239847923846 conditions stacked on me and dropped to 10% of my health, come out of Plague popped Consume Conditions and gone back to <90%. Although the heal is kind of crap without conditions on you, with conditions is freaking awesome. Which is the exact purpose of the heal so, just use it wisely.

I would prefer it to be like the Flesh Golem with similar capabilities. Except instead of knockdown and gain stability it launches and becomes immune to damage for 3 – 5seconds. Also yes, causes bleeding on attack instead of the Flesh Golem’s cripple. But I would frigging love this as a minion.

Elementalist survival (PvE)

in Profession Balance

Posted by: SpellOfIniquity.1780

SpellOfIniquity.1780

Elementalist still have the worst survival and they are a light armor class. My main is a Warrior and i have a Necro, Ele and Ranger alt at 80. My Warrior is superior in PvE content.

The Elementalist need a huge buff in survival. They have to sacrifice too much survival to be able to do damage or they have to sacrifice too much damage to be able to survive. Same with Ranger as well. Elementalist still has one of the best supports though. Necro is close to Warrior imo.

Edit: The Evade on Burning Speed is a good buff to Ele survival.

Never understood how that worked. logically as the weaks class defence wise. We should be producing top class dps as a counter balance. yet some how we aren’t.

Except eles have the highest DPS of all classes…

^
Ele’s, if spec’d, have the highest raw damage of any profession. Yes they lack some survivability, but they have plenty of boons and cleanses to make up for that. In the nicest way possible, you may just need more practice. I’ve fought many Ele’s and even the glassy ones can endure a good bit of punishment.
