Server A has 30+ people willing to do the night shift.
Server B has no one willing to do the night shift.
Server B gets night capped by Server A.
Whose fault is it?
Because too many are people who face-roll the keyboard and they troll their own team with that stupid knockback shot. How many times you are about to deliver a killing blow and the enemy is now 30 ft away.
For every ranger that AoE’s walls, lays down spirits, and uses traps; there is the guys that is just…there.
I love good rangers, but there seems to be more bad rangers than any other class.
The opposite is when you are about to get stomped and a ranger saves ur butt with the same knockback shot :-) Done that and I got the t-shirt too.
So Rangers are the masters of the wilderness, one with nature, able to kill foes from a distance with their keen eyes and steady bow….yeah, right.
Rangers should be the fleetest footed (yet we get a measly +25% speed boost with Signet of the Hunt)…bump that 50% or more…let rangers stay in bow range no matter how fast a warrior can fly.
If BG keeps saying they are underdogs enough they may actually start believing it. Helps with the server recruiting, “Come fight the good fight against all odds”. LMAO.
I have a personal attachment to my ranger…but my necro lives longer, kills more, and supports the WvW zerg better. My Ele supports better, my Mesmer is more fun and survives better, my guardian…well morons can play one and be good at it…
Y’all may laugh, but I am very successful playing as a ranger running Havoc. I run with a Awe/Horn and LB. Entangle helps take down supply real fast.
The only hitch is I am usually targeted first when our group encounters a hostile group…and we all know how easily rangers melt. That said I normally run a 6 to 1 kill ratio (6 enemy players killed for each time I die).
There are easier way to deal with zergs…one way would be to have movement become slower as the numbers of a zerg increase.
Another way would be to turn on collision …having 25 people run through a doorway is crazy…two at a time (maybe three) would make defending very fun and attacking harder.
Turning on friendly fire would be another way…that GS warrior swing wildly next to you would suck…same thing with that Elementalist Meteor Shower.
Changing the revive mechanism making it more challenging to revive downed players
Turn off limitations for AoE…everyone in the AoE should be impacted, not just a limited number.
I wonder what ever happened to that walking arrow cart guild? A rather large ranger only group can cause some serious mayhem. I’d like see the havoc with 20 axe rangers using ricochet and a few rangers spamming barrage.
If JQ has a Ranger Guild…I’d love to participate in a Ranger Zerg…would be awesome -)
Ranger is my preferred WvW profession. I suck in most 1v1 encounters…but shine when I am with a team (2 or more partners). I run LB/Axe & Horn….axe is a bit weak, but I find is does stress the opposing team in group encounters. LB is a blast…sitting back and snipping opposing players…watching them panic when they realize a ranger has them in his scope is fun.
Blackgate…please stop. The “We were the underdogs” story is getting old.
I feel sorry for you all…your server built (some would say bought) an awesome WvW army. But winning hands down and easy will wear thin week after week…soon you will see guilds moving to servers where they are challenged.
Blackgate was the perceived weakest T1 server before league starts and even after BG won the first week of league, I would glad to provide links to threads/posts claiming that from JQ and SoR if you are in doubt. The success we have in Season 1 does not change the fact that a lot of people were surprised and shocked by our performance initially.
Also I would advice you to not make predictions about what will happen to BG as you guys are really not good at making predictions giving how your pre-season predictions turned out…

Second: I noticed you even acknowledge that Blackgate was “perceived” to be the weakest. Thanks, that’s the first time I heard a BG person even come that close to admitting they weren’t underdogs.
Like I alluded in my post, there are a lot of BG people still claiming that Blackgate was the underdog and the ONLY reason you went undefeated was by the grit and talent of your players. I’m not saying you don’t have any talent, but please…be honest, your server won primarily by numbers.
And I stand by my personal prediction…what fun is not having any competition? The better guilds will move on to be challenged. The weakest will stay for the Karma Steamroll.
I’ve recommended this before…there should be two WvW instances.
WvW Seasons should be viewed as the “Professional League” and should not be server specific. Instead several “Armies” are established and people can enlist in the army they choose. There should be an enlistment fee (25g maybe?) to demonstrate a personal commitment to the League. The enlistment fee would go into a pot that would be divided among the top three armies. In this professional league there should be a “Season” and a “Post Season” Your army’s performance in the Season will determine your Post Season position on the brackets. The last week of the Post Season would be the Superbowl of WvW…only the top 3 teams/Armies play that week and will fight for Championship.
The other WvW instant would be for the casual players (they way it is today…Server specific).

It’s nice…unless you encounter folks from Boredgate…I was standing in the stands tonight minding my business watching when four members of BG from a guild PLX came up and ganked me…seriously….4 v 1? f’ing cowards.
I have been moaning about how under powered Rangers are in WvW…now that I have grown my Necro to R80 and decked her out I can now verify that yes…necros are superior to Rangers.
Perm-a-stealth thief…no problem…I hang with them until they run away. Surviving in the middle of a zerg vs zerg fight? No problem…I survive and get 10 times the bags my ranger ever got…
I love removing conditions, healing and giving conditions…sweet combo of abilities.
I purchased my three unlimited harvesting tools before they became account bound…I want to be able to interchange them between characters…how do I get them changed to Account bound instead of soul bound?
I think it would work if we eliminated Supply Doyaks and made people run supplies to the keeps…maybe have a special supply pack that held 50 supply and could only be used to drop off in the Keeps (i.e. the Supply Bearer could not use the 50 Supply he/she was carrying to build siege or repair)…would make supply running an important tactic.
i want that all the chars i create share the same level as my main. if enough ppl start crying arena will always grant our wishes …. absolute hate this change.
Just goes to show you that you can’t please everyone—however, I imagine this change of heart is pleasing to a vast majority of WvW players.
So many times I have wanted to run around with something other than my main alt in WvW…but felt penalized when I did (main toon is almost rank 200) and has maxed out a few traits….felt weaker running around with any other of my toons.
BG had this from the start…but will continue to whine about being underdogs until the end.
Lawl, It was everyone else that called BG the underdogs. We only embraced it. Blackgate players knew where we stood, we knew we were going to come out and give it everything we had for 7 weeks. Leading up to week 1 everyone was saying JQ had it in the bag and it would be a fight for 2nd, even then people expected SoR 2nd and BG 3rd. Why would you expect us to argue it…
