We have also been up against SOS and SOR at once with our poor numbers. I am thinking you are the ones that are being sore. I am just stating what I see and you are getting mad cause you cant handle the truth. I cant help you there. I am fine where CD is. We could really care less about advancing to tier 2, we are loving the short que times and have a much better chance of small man fights in lower tiers. You guys are the ones with the mass numbers, just go in the jumping puzzles with your 50 man zergs and overwhelm CD if you want it that bad, shouldnt be that hard should it?

Oh you guys misinterpret me, I am not bitter at all, I am actually enjoying the fact that TC is so threatened by CD that they will not fight us unless they outnumber us by alot. It is laughable that TC thinks they can compete on tier 2 level at the condition they are in. Brawn over brains does not always win the game, just a wise tip. And regarding golems?? The only golem sacrifices I have heard or seen was TC sacrificing multiple golems to our oil at our tower in CD bl not once but twice?? like really?? lol but that is ok keep coming back those loot bags are yummy!
I am looking forward to being able to enjoy the new patch next week. Tier 4 is a nice place for us for what we have left for NA primetime population. Our server had more than a few wvw guilds transfer out for the winning servers and I hope they are enjoying their 4-5 hr que times, I remember those and it was not fun. We are left with more PVE centered people transfering in than PVP centered folk and that is ok. I know the oceanic crew probably thinks the NA prime time does nothing but we are constantly scratching and clawing to gain any ground we can so the oceanic crew can have fun in EB which is their favorite place to play. I hope we get more PVP guilds in for NA primetime but being our server is full that is not gonna happen. We have make due with what we have and what we can and have fun with it which we do. We are never afraid of a challenge. I do understand everyone wants to do what they can to get ahead. Just be sure you know what you are getting yourself in for, always look before you leap.

I’ve seen this guy a few times, I had no idea he was a commander, if he is, I’ve -never- seen him wear it, but if he does, i’ll never follow it. I would like to say to both CD and YB that this scumbag doesn’t speak for the rest of TC, no offence chaps, but we don’t need either of your help to gang up on the other, nor would we want to, we are fighting for TC not for the ill-gotten gains of both us and another server.

I agree, it’s in bad taste, sadly, as much as you might want to call TC players on it, I’ve been witnessing the same thing from CD in EB, mostly from your wafer-thin backstab thieves, I’m not going to lie, my general rapid response is to murder said thieves swiftly and taunt them back for the guy they just did it to, whilst this doesn’t exactly help with the behaviour, it’s kind of a slap in the face to the kitten who thought it was funny to start in the first place. Aside from that instance, I don’t like to do it, it’s pretty crass behaviour.

Oh, and btw, if what I’ve been told is correct, isn’t that what CD is also doing when we’re sleeping? I’m enjoying the matchup but I’ve accepted it’s going to be push and pull. We cap, we sleep, you cap, you sleep and the cycle continues.
No, CD is playing defensive. It is not about coverage, it is about you guys being to scared to actually fight and refusing to actually fight us at all. You take all of EB with a 60 man zerg and then instead of defending, you move to CD borderland and let all of EB fall. After you zerg an empty CD borderland with 60 people, you lose EB and then go to zerg it back. If we all stay and defend or cut you off, you just take your entire zerg and head to the empty BG because you refuse to fight. You have already won the match, you have the coverage and the numbers – but you don’t have to take all of the fun out of it just to secure the win. I don’t care about losing , but we are sick of PvDOORING and are about done even taking back our own borderlands because we can’t even get you guys to stay and fight. Every 3 hours either EB or CD borderlands turns over to the enemy zerg, and we are left to take it back while all the keeps are 100% undefended.
I’m sorry but this is absolute garbage. We don’t HAVE a 60 man zerg in EB, we rarely have a 30 man unless you only have one or two keeps left and everyone joins for the ride. I’ve been playing WvW solid since this match up and what I’ve seen in EB is smaller co-ordinated groups, sometimes they overlap, but the groups will pull their seperate ways to their own objectives.
For the most part I solo camps and sentries and I’ve been in a 3 man that stole several keeps away from you with no resistance whatsoever this week, I also know of 2 other people who take small groups around with the intention of stealing camps and smaller locations. If you’re going to complain about who is scared, maybe you should get your details in order, or are you guys just upset about that one time we threw 12 Alpha’s at your keep just for the lols?

Negative, I’m the one who shows up and kills everyone! I do use stealth a lot, but I’m a pretty reckless aggressor. I think I mainly caught your lot off guard because I’m not a glass cannon and instead of running, I stuck right next to one of you during stealth then panicked them by literally unloading point blank into their face, the hesitation was all the time I needed. I did come with another thief at one point and we ended up taking out about 9 of you, not at once, I’m not going to pretend it was that easy, You guys did get me down once during the Speldon Fun Run, but I’m like a bad cold, I’ll just stick around! I was patrolling Spel up to the Sentry past Meldon when it was your territory.
Please don’t take any of this as a boast, it’s more a case of this is how things happened, these are my tactics, so you can come up with something to work against it.
If I can give you guys a little tip, when it’s 2 or 3 of you, and one of you goes down and the thief stealths, don’t presume it’s all safe and raise your buddy, I’m currently right next to you finishing him. Your best bet instead is to stick by your buddy and swing with a melee or just AoE right on your friend so that I have to risk getting to him, if I have low health, I’m probably not going to chance it if I see you pulling that, otherwise it’s a free kill on a downed person rather than throwing a spanner in the works and making the thief work harder. Prepare some defence skills, because if I can’t get to him, I’m about to unload on one of you. If there’s 3 of you, start raising immediately, I probably won’t have time to finish the kill animation.

In other news, I’ve been having some great fights with you CD guys, there seems to be some rivalries too as I seem to run into the same pair of thieves across the map! Good fighting guys, it’s been real fun so far.
HoD, nice fighting between Lang and Dan last night, sorry to your thief who kept thinking he could flank around me :p Also, come out a bit, be a bit more brave, we’re actively discouraging spawn camping and trying to give some breathing room now and then, unfortunately not everyone listens, but we’re trying.

Yeah ok, I was also thinking this was a dumb idea until I heard his explanation, it would certainly change a lot of the dynamic from being mainly about having one or two big zerg groups, it would also make defending and communication (what a lot of maps are actually lacking) a great deal more important and would add more strategy as you try to hold key locations and objectives.
RNG is a great way to add arbitrary difficulty into a game indeed. It’s a poor excuse of a game mechanic designed only to artificially extend the “legendary weapon” content.
Luck =/= Difficulty
But I’m afraid it’s probably the only thing we’ll ever get. Aquiring top-tier weapons in other MMOs is always about grinding and RNG as well, why should we expect GW2 to be any different; It’s not like they wanted to redefine the genre or anything.
That would be fair to say if the weapon istelf was actually top tier, but it’s not, aside from the skin, it’s completely identical to any other exotic, you can take a level 80 GS and get the exact same stats without the skin. At least in other games, Legendary stood out amongst weapons for more than just aesthetic appearance, FFXI for example had better stats (in general) and came with its own unique weapon skill or abilities. Here it’s just a case of “oh wow that looks nice” for all your hard work.
I can’t get this either. I’ve done the Mad King Says event, got gold and the Hat from chest, I tried zoning, I tried logging and I tried changing characters and I still don’t get the achievement…..

Except this isn’t the Olympics you idiot, this is a free-for-all puzzle that should be completable by the more casual crowd, way to act like one of the elitist jokes aforemention just because you completed a freaking puzzle.
I realise this is an optional puzzle, but I agree, it’s not fun. At first I thought it was all cool, everyone waiting around as the timer ticks away, it felt like a fairground ride. I laughed for the first 10 minutes. By the third hour I was too frustrated to continue and any glimmer of fun was gone.
Ori nodes not showing up as minable - Friend showed me spawns I see a ruined base like I mined it but I haven't, can mine 2 out of 5

I don’t really understand how reducing the nodes and ramping up spawn times is meant to resolve anything or add anything to the game aside from player frustration. You weren’t eaxctly falling over yourself for nodes in the first place, but apparently it warranted a nerf?
I know you have an economist on board, so is this some really crappy way of trying to make crafting more profitable by making materials even less common than they were before? Way to punish players and turn something fun into yet another chore.

If you don’t enjoy it then you’re just not a *punk fan (mixed clockpunk and steampunk in this case), which is common. I’ve met plenty of *punk genre haters in my time. You’re quite common, actually. So common that *punk elements are often left out of games because developers are afraid of reprise.
This just leaves the Tolkien-esque generic fantasy pap, the amazingly dull kind of true fantasy, which is just medieval England with spells thrown in for good measure. Fantasy is supposed to be anything you can imagine! It’s not supposed to be generic. The Black Citadel is anything but generic.
If you don’t like it, speak for yourself and pick another race/city. I love it. It’s contrary to all the generic fantasy pap I’ve had forced down my throat over the last decade. Give me a Black Citadel over a more everyday fantasy city any day.

For whatever reason it didn’t want to make two attachments, without helm the shoulders should look like this:
So, I’ve been using the Skull type helmet for light armor on my Elementalist, however, any time I want to change the shoulders, I get a really bad glitch with shoulders appearing with the helmet – that appear to be from the set the skull helm is from, in fact, those are the only shoulders that will render properly with this helm.
I’ve included 2 screenshots with and without helmet to show what I mean, you can clearly see the spikes added to the shoulders when the helm is added and the shoulders glitch up. This makes my exotics look ugly! please fix it.
This has happened to me 4 times in an attemp to enter the Volano, I had already listed it here as a glitch but it didn’t get any attention.
I’ve found several of these around the map on Mt Maelstrom that forces you through the volcano rather than being able to go around it. The field in front of me has been completely clear, with room to get a tank through (honestly no exageration) and yet, invisible wall stops be going any further.
Can these either be removed, or can the way actually be properly blocked so we’re not being forced into funnel when we can clearly see a way through.
Considering I was given 2 exotics for clearing one of the 70-75 zones, that reward for completing the story is a bit… disappointing. I thought everything was supposed to be tiered :S
I’ve had movement become completely disabled on land twice, once with thief and once with Elementalist, the only link is that I was fighting both times and using skills and one or a combination caused my character to freeze stationary.
It’s worth noting that both times, my keyboard has still been working, I can access utlity functions (game menus etc) via keyboard, but I cannot use skills and my character is rooted to the spot. I’ve had to log both times in order to continue, nothing seems to resolve the matter on its own.
I’m not even joking.
4 times today when entering the volcano mouth (that’s what she said, etc), my character just decided to fall down and die. No incoming damage, no enemies, nothing.
First time I waypoint in, uncontested waypoint – downed. Nothing even remotely close by my camera, nothing attacking me as I’m raising myself.
Enter from the South Entrance, kill my way past the destroyers, cross the line into the mouth – downed. Again, no incoming damage and no enemies.
Enter from North Entrance, kill all elementals on the way, downed x2 as soon as I cross into the mouth.
The mouth being the area zone inside the mountain where you fight the Megadestroyer.
The hell is this?
