I don’t see what’s surprising. They have expac units to sell.
I don’t think you’ve thought this through. Bountiful theft is useless on DE.
He has certainly thought it through, I think it’s you that does not understand the mechanics of Mark.
Steal and mark are not the same thing. I think you don’t understand the mechanics or are confusing them to be the same.
I use rending shade currently. Rending shade is a better steal then is BT and steals stacks. You also do NOT lose steal with deadeye. You can still trait up the deadeye steal.
Mark is not a steal, it’s a mark. BT works on steal which is stated plainly in the trait.
Come on, the only difference with steal and marks are the shadowstep on steal and the malice stacks for mark. It’s 10% of the utility of a traited F1 with DA/TR.
You don’t steal for the gap closer, you steal for the interrupt/poison/mug/boon rip/fury gain/stealth.
Btw you still get stolen items even from marks…..so it’s pretty much a ranged steal :p
Nowhere on the skill does it state this. This is pure speculation on your part.
I don’t think you’ve thought this through. Bountiful theft is useless on DE.

I currently have a s/d build with SB off hand that is designed around Boon theft via both Bountiful theft and RS. Yes it is rather oddball and I have been trying to make it work with exisitng traits and utilities. I think I can get this to work better by replacing the DrD line with DE.
And how do you propose to do that when you lose the steal ability with Deadeye? I don’t think you’ve thought this through. Bountiful theft is useless on DE.
If it’s intended, then it’s pretty kitten stupid, especially Khylo considering you cannot port up Red side, but you can on Blue…..
seeing the trend of this thread does make me feel a little unsettled. i love the idea behind this thread
I agree. Seeing a lot of the recent posts asking for seriously expensive items or posting a list of items is getting pretty ridiculous and is missing the spirit of the intention here. This post isn’t intended for people to casually ask for 3k+ items and legendaries or post a shopping list, the thread as Gaile said is:
I think it would be helpful to point out the purpose of this thread, which is generally to give players “a little boost” towards their objectives. Maybe it’s a few dyes; a couple of mats; a small supply of cooking ingredients. For someone who wants to acquire a Legendary, asking for help with one of the needed materials would be fine. Asking for the gift of a Legendary outright isn’t really in the intended scope of this gifting thread.
helseth fought versus support rev and said it cant be killed so he left it alone…. does it mean its meta??? no. its only mean in the right hands it can be good. few seconds later he and sind recked it . same as for any ele ….
your arguments invalid man….
No, he said on stream that he couldn’t kill it, that it does absolutely nothing and that it’s stupid. On the same stream Sindrener called it trash. You insist so much on using this build that you are finding any justification you possibly can to continue using it. You even came online and made comments about how it would be new meta because Helseth couldn’t kill it solo.
It doesn’t help matters that when you play your support Rev that you don’t even support your team, you’re constantly out of position from your team, rushing into 1vX, begging for help, then blame your team when they’re putting in work elsewhere, you also have next to no map awareness at all, calling out free points when there are 2 enemy players standing on it….. The irony is that you don’t see how ludicrous your actions are, throwing yourself into silly situations and calling for support – you ARE the support!
There’s a reason that when you ask for duo queue you are met with deathly silence and tumbleweeds the majority of the time.
i fought as support ele and won. my states of the game were worst. just my team did better rotations and didnt afk . maybe the game design consider placement base on the profession and think if i am rev i probable using power build. i dont know
What do top stats matter when using that ele actually gets you wins when your support Rev doesn’t? You’re completely missing the point here because you’re so stubborn about that build. You’re ignoring anything of substance being said to you and responding with excuses and justifications to keep using trash – it’s everything except you. With that outlook and no desire to have any kind of introspective or self-review, you belong exactly where you are.

I would like to point out that there is also downside to the daze on choking gas in combination with. IP proc applies reveal since it counts as direct hit. Meaning if by some chance someone sits in the poison and thief really needs to stealth up and run, he will get revealed and possibly die. Before, as a thief, you had to watch out for interrupts and delayed PI, now you also have to watch out for choking gas applications.
Yeah, except if you’re using SB at that point to apply choking gas, unless you’re tossing it around randomly and foolishly, you’re not going to be in any immediate threat to warrant going into stealth, not to mention the mobility you have with SB and #3 to be able to avoid such threat while the short AoE field of Choking Gas dissipates.
It’s almost like you’re complaining about having to be aware of your own skills….
crying rivers on forums.
The irony.
Got stuck in a match last night for two hours and filled in a bug report. Became unstuck and we queued again, only to become instantly stuck once more at the end of the first match and logged off for the night.
Ironic. It would be boring and unsatisfying for you, you’re the one that is applying your own personal perception onto the situation. So for you, there should be a challenge mote version, and if a difficult fight is necessary for you to enjoy it, then you can play that version instead. That way everyone is happy.
So the overwhelming majority of people in this thread saying exactly the same thing and telling you that the fight doesn’t need to be dumbed down to levels of never having danger and the slimmest chance to ever be downed isn’t resonating with you then and is simply just my opinion vs yours? Get real. You’re not interested in responses unless they completely agree with your Super-duper-easy-mode vision. If you think the content as it is would be ‘challenge mote’ worthy, then I really think it’s a massive lack of skill on your part not just in the fight, but basic mechanics with thief.
I was using staff, I weapon swapped after dying a couple times.
And your point is what? With SB you have even less chance of being hit by those hounds with their telegraphed leap attack and you can use distance to make it even easier for yourself. You can also pull out thieves guild to make it even more easy for yourself. I don’t know how much easier this needs to be made for you and I feel like Infantile Mode SAB would pose a challenge to you with you wiping the sweat from your brow afterwards from such challenge.
“in before “I play a Thief and I did fine, git gub”, not useful, thank you”
This wasn’t what was said to you was it, all you’re doing is dismissing anyone that disagrees with you and actually finds a use for the dodge button. You claim that glass cannon thieves should be able to do this content, we can, you just don’t seem up to it for whatever reason and want to act like it’s super hard content that needs to be dumbed down to your needs and requirements alone. You won’t even listen to anything being said to you on how you can make the fight easier. I genuinely don’t understand how you can fail so hard on a boss encounter when you have access to dodge on tap (including signet of agility and SB #3 if required), positioning if you have to range it and actually paying attention to hound leaps.
You didn’t? I haven’t met anyone who played the original tutorials without being downed their first time through. Those bosses hit like a truck if you aren’t used to dodging and their tells.
You can’t be serious… honestly? Please tell me you’re a troll because I don’t know a single person in this game who ever thought the tutorials were difficult. Been playing since beta and it really was hard to actually die to them. These "tells’ that you have to learn, are you talking about the big red circles they ALL had on the ground to let you know an attack was coming. I don’t even…
at launch they pretty much all had OHKO attacks
They never had this, ever.
Not significantly. In most cases, including this one, you’d only need to design and test the encounter once, the harder version. Then for the easier version, you’d just reduce enemy damage potential significantly, and at most just test that a few times with an extremely glassy build to make sure the damage is where it’s intended.
I don’t think you really understand how testing works.
(edited by Static.9841)
That’s exactly my point, that shouldn’t be necessary. You should not have to “learn” this fight, this is a fight that you should be able to beat on the first try, no deaths, regardless of skill level or build type. The only difference skill should make is in how long the fight lasts.
Wow, what? Since when should the boss fight be a mindless affair where you shouldn’t have to think about what you do and should be an easy win without much effort on your part? Your personal perception and desire that a fight should be an easy win has no bearing on what it actually is or in reality should be. An easy win fight on any end boss would be incredibly boring and come with very little satisfaction at all. I’m genuinely struggling to grasp your idea that it should be an easy win with almost no chance of being downed without thinking you’re simply trolling.
I find it difficult to understand how you were one-shotted on thief by the hounds or had zero time to react, especially if like you say, you were using shortbow and therefore should have had some distance. I also did this fight on DD thief in full zerk and those lunges from the hounds were not so quick that I couldn’t dodge them every single time. This isn’t even “git gud”, but maybe you need to pay more attention to what’s going on in the fight.
Going into the story version solo should not be tuned for a group full of skilled players.
Er… it’s not? You have completely misunderstood what was said to you. All of the LS3 content can be done solo. When he said “a lot of people”, he didn’t mean people grouping up….
(edited by Static.9841)
Raid groups take thieves? That is new.
Be happy you have simple rotation in raids, you fall off by 1-2k dps due to messing up complex rotation on other build -> you get instantly kicked.
New to what? Your group? I would suggest finding a group who isn’t toxic or kitten their way through thinking by reading reddit and thinking Tempest is better. I use thief in my raid group and we one-bang everything without issue.
As for “but pugs rate everything by DPS”: Well considering Staff thief is ranked third highest on DPS benchmarks, I doubt this is the case or you’re not doing your job properly as the thief.
The only time I’ve seen an issue is Tempest > Thief because Tempest bring more utility, but in the case of “DPS meter”, absolutely not. Not sure why you’re even talking about pugs when you say you’re in a raid guild and have a group.
too much drama
I lol’d.
HoT dropped with content that was available to everyone, regardless of whether they bought the expansion or not. There’s no reason to assume that the next expansion won’t be the same. Which means that they could release the rest of the Gen 2 legendaries with the second expac, just making them available to everyone who has HoT.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding you here, but while content was released that didn’t require the expansion, the Gen 2 legendaries were not part of that shared content that was available to all. You needed to max out HoT masteries, gain HoT currency etc in order to make those.
Had you read my entire post, you would see my claim remained unchanged. I did get 40 per hour as each run last around 20-30 minutes and I was getting 20ish for each. Even then, I used 20, and even just a single drop, and it didn’t disprove what I was saying. So again, read what it was that I was actually arguing.
I read your post, I also believe it’s full of fabrication because you’re basically saying that you have the luckiest salvage rate out of pretty much everyone “on average” just to try and maintain your stance.
I don’t particularly need T6 leather and I don’t much care about the state of it right now, but I’m absolutely calling you out on this as an outright lie just to fluff whatever point you think it is that you have.
You didn’t read my post otherwise you would have realized that whatever the drop rate was, didn’t matter. You would also have read that this was from my experience and that I had said I had not done anywhere near the 7700 salvages. Why you’re so focused on this, which has no bearing on my argument, is beyond me.
How does salvage rate not matter when the crux of your argument is that you seemingly gets tons from doing the farm and you apparently get “on average 40 per hour”?
Your so-called experience with making up numbers means absolutely nothing when compared with actual numbers that then force you to change your numbers by half and flail around in your argument just to stubbornly stick to the idea that if several thousand users in the playerbase out of the kindness of their hearts all went out and farmed and stuck it to the man by filling up the TP, would drop the price. In which reality will those several thousand players go out and do this? This isn’t a solution, this is a wild daydream.
You’re epically failing to understand just how big the gap has been in supply and demand for a very long time and that a good deal of people farming it are those that need it and don’t want to pay for it or will simply continue to hoard it, none of which is ever going to see the TP.
So, beyond “ermergherd, I get more T6 leather than anyone else in the history of farming Lake Doric per hour”, what was your point?

People have done the math Ayrilana, and there’s no way you are obtaining 40 T6 leather sections every hour through this farm.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/63f85n/data_salvage_results_of_7700_bloodstonewarped/
800 T6 leather sections salvaged from 7700 bloodstone warped hides. This averages out to about 25 T6 leather per stack.
This user salvaged 2000 bloodstone warped hides and got 166 T6 leather out of them. That averages out to about 21 T6 leather sections per stack of bloodstone warped hides.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/5t7d1u/possible_spoilers_salvage_rate_research_for/
This user salvaged 2000 bloodstone warped hides, annd received 200 T6 leather sections out of it. Averaging out to 25 T6 leather sections per stack of bloodstone warped hides.
The data is out there. You average about a 10% drop rate on T6 leather from a bloodstone warped hide. So if you are indeed obtaining 40 per hour, then you claim that you are obtaining 400 bloodstone warped hides per hour, every hour, through DR even. I certainly never obtained hides at that rate when I attempted the farm. Do I just have bad luck, or were your numbers inflated?
It’s what I’ve been getting but of course I’ve not done 7700 salvages.
Let so with 20 per hour and redo my numbers.
So basically you’re changing your claim now that actual numbers are being thrown at you? At no time ever did you get 40 T6 leather from this farm per hour, it’s just something you pulled out of nowhere to try and substantiate a claim that we all simply have to take your word on.
I’ve been burning that farm the last 2 weeks to craft elonian squares for Chuka collection and gather some T6 squares and at no point did I get over 30 T6 leather let alone the 40 you claim per hour – this isn’t bad luck or bad rng on my part, it’s you claiming to have the most amazing rng salvage rate compared to the rest of the playerbase and those who tested it, not just a few times, but apparently “on average every hour” just to support your false claim. Adjust your numbers all you like, but you have zero credibility when all we have is your word – which is a completely fabricated claim on salvage rates – vs actual numbers.

Ok, this is a bit unconventional wish, but I’ll give it a try anyway…:)
For me, the endgame is decorating our guild’s guild hall. I’ve spent many many hours just running around, decorating and planing next projects. And since we’re a small guild with just around eight casualy active people, some things are sadly unreachable for us at the moment. Yes, I’m talking about raid and world boss trophies.
So, maybe, there are some people with those trophies lying around in their inventories and bank slots just collecting dust? If that’s the case, I’ll be more than happy to recieve them and give them some love and a place to show their beauty. My wish: to have more trophies to decorate our guild hall
Server: EU
I have a bunch of world boss trophies that I have no intention of ever using like Mordremoth Mandible Piece, Chak Gerent Eye etc and some SAB decoration tokens, I have no idea how to give them to you, but if you do, I’m willing to help you out, PM me here or message/mail me in game and we can sort something.
Solo/duo queue was the worst decision taken by anet for long time. worst than this broken leaderboard/point/placement system.
Except it wasn’t down to Anet because it went to a vote by the players who were kittening about being killed by premades in ranked and listened to people like Helseth before he and his team ditched the game for Smite.
Anyone who disagreed was immediately shot down and jumped on with people crying and claiming all you wanted was to easily farm players and the notion of wanting to play PvP with friends and progress through ranked with them was universally ignored by said crying players.
If you want to avoid this kind of thing, vote next time….
What do you think about this?
I think you should go back to Mesmer before Sind shows up to school you again and make you look foolish.
I am in plat on alt account w/o HoT. AMA :P
Is that because Darais carried you? :p
Underwater combat in PvP was generally terrible and indeed was one of the reasons for the removal of the original Capricorn map as underwater skills were horribly unbalanced and nigh on useless for some classes. There was also a huge issue with rangers in that pets could out-rez any damage put onto the ranger when they were in ‘downed’ state while in the water.
I miss the old Capricorn map, but I’m glad underwater combat is no longer a thing in PvP as it was awful.
I think Druids have just a wee too much bunker in them. With a Toughness and Healing Power build, Druids can contest points for the whole match solo. When I’ve been fighting 1 v 1 using my Engi, I get him down to half HP, then poof, full heal. 5 minutes later, I need to call for backup because he just won’t go away. IMO, Druids are more OP than Dragon Hunters.
An Engi complaining about another class being able to hold a point indefinitely, now I’ve seen it all.
Hi all,
I’d like to take a moment to address some of the concerns posted since last Friday regarding the possibility of solo/duo queue.
The poll we’ll be running this week will simply ask if we should trial a solo/duo queue system during season 5. Assuming the poll passes and Season 5 is solo/duo only, we’ll monitor feedback throughout the season and then run another poll at the end of S5 to ask folks if they’d like to see the change become permanent.
“But Josh, what about people that like to queue as premades, do guild missions, etc?” An overwhelming majority of players already play as solo/duo in leagues, but that doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about the groups and the guilds. That said, unranked arena will continue to accommodate roster sizes of up to 5. Guild missions will still be able to be completed in unranked arena. Assuming the post-season 5 permanence poll passes, we’ll evaluate the need for another environment where teams can compete (based on your feedback).
Hopefully that answers some of your questions!
Why on earth would my group of friends care about unranked during a league when we’re wanting to progress through the league together? You’re proposing to make it more difficult to even play with friends. I can’t begin to explain how utterly ludicrous it is to exclude teams from being able to play together in a team-based game mode.
Look for bold.
There is less than 2000 spvp only players. They still pay for GEM with Money.
The suggestion made, still ask spvp players to pay GEM to unlock specialization.
If that would been the case, the 50 000 new pvp players that left on HoT, would paid GEM / Money to unlock that…
So, spvp players would bring more money than Buy to Play one (90$ to unlock all, versus 50$ to buy to play).
Good grief. The more arguments you lose and flail around trying to keep up with, the more you try and divert things by reaching into that deep bag of chocolate covered pretzel strawmen that you’re holding on to.
Please show your sources on numbers instead of pulling them out of that bag.
(edited by Static.9841)
Lol, entitlement? Are you kidding me? The game is fundamentally flawed and is clearly restricted B2W in the form of the expansions, and you claim entitlement? The entire F2P concept is arbitrary.
Are you being willfully ignorant when the crying is about how F2P players aren’t getting the HoT sepcialisations or did you just want to add as much filler to your ill-thought out post as possible? There is nothing about “we want build diversity here” and the biggest cheerleader in this thread is continually parroting how they want shorter queue times by giving this to the F2P players.
I’ve spent probably close to a thousand bucks on this game, if not more. I built a $3000.00 computer solely to play this game with the highest possible fidelity on top of that.
Then you’re pretty dumb for thinking you needed to do that when this game in no way requires that and I fail to see how this relates to anything in this topic. Your paying for a PC has absolutley no bearing on F2P or buying the full game. Do you think that paying $3k on a PC of your own volition should allow you to have access to every game ever made? What exactly are you saying here other than trying to throw up a load of chocolate covered strawmen?
The fact I see four builds in a majority of encounters in WvW which before had literally everything is more telling than the meta-crawlers and bad balance in sPvP due to the amulet system. HoT is broken, and it broke GW2.
I feel like you’ve never played PvP prior to HoT. There has ALWAYS been meta builds and a huge lack of variety and diversity in builds and there have always been complaints about this. I don’t think you know anything about what you’re talking about.
HoT killed the fun elements of sPvP and WvW. The game is totally broken and anyone who simply doesn’t like their profession’s elite is just in a position where either they deal with it or leave.
No, they aren’t. But again, if you suck at PvP whether that’s in HotM or Wv3, then you’re not going to get anywhere in general unless you’re carried by others and that will only take you so far. Saying you absolutely have to have profession elites is just ignorant as hell when plenty of F2P and even paid players have risen to legend on core builds alone. Maybe people like you perpetuate this idea because you suck at PvP and look at HoT builds as your only crutch to be competitive.
Telling passionate players that they’re entitled because they’re complaining because they don’t get the same enjoyment from the game before the expansion is foolish and ridiculous.
Can you not read? Saying F2P players should have the same benefits of paying players absolutely IS entitlement, the fact you cannot even follow what’s being said is both foolish and ridiculous.
(edited by Static.9841)
This thread seriously confuses me. I don’t understand why anyone on F2P thinks they should have the same benefits as anyone who bought the base game and HoT regardless of what game mode that is and if the game is so “beloved” to you, why can’t you spend money actually buying it? The entitlement here is painful.
To say you can’t get anywhere in PvP without HoT specs is also a complete fallacy, because you absolutely can with core builds, but not if you suck as a player.
Well… there is 3 game mode.
Spvp game mode population is really low right now.
F2P in august 2015 is an option for Gw2. It make the spvp population 10x of what it was. When HoT came, it make those F2P leave to other game.
So, F2P is a model of Gw2. SPVP can use that for good.
Let’s evolved the model to make good things for SPVP only.
So since we are in the pvp forum, I understand that you paid 50$ for your PVE or WvW experiences… i am fine with this. But for sPvP, it should not matter that way, because it become buy to win. (unless specialization are sidegrade like they sold this out, but it’s not true and everyone and their mother in the F2P crowd left us behind)
Oh please, you’re only spouting the junk you are because your sole interest is PvP and you want F2P to cater absolutely to YOUR needs. I paid for all elements in this game and if you are F2P, you don’t get that luxury. Period.
You haven’t given a single decent reason as to why you should have the same benefits in PvP as a paying player other than to continually parrot your idea that PvP should get people into the game when PvP is actually a small part of the game and has never been wicked popular like you seem to think it has been or should be and I’ve been playing it since headstart.
Everything you have to say in your defence is for your personal dislike that as a F2P player, they don’t get everything in PvP. Tough. Cough up the dough like we did, then you can enjoy all those benefits because I have zero sympathy for you, nor would I ever back you. You don’t get to have everything for nothing and act sanctimonious as if the F2P players are saving the game by their mere presence.
You seem to think that core builds stand no chance, well they don’t if you’re an utterly terrible player, but they do if you have some competence in PvP. Having access to HoT specs isn’t suddenly going to turn a scrub into a pro league player.
The entitlement you’re spouting is foul.
(edited by Static.9841)
Not an exploit and completely an L2P issue. Break line of sight or simply stealth and go behind the Druid and you won’t get hit by a channeled attack.
Yes, lets pointlessly nerf more thief related abilities so that more and more people hate the game and quit! Sweet idea! /facepalm
I love all the tears, rangers are SUPPOSED to be the strongest ranged combatants, we rely on our pets, and given the kitten poor AI and lack of useful controls for the pets, we’re significantly missing our peak performance, but oh hey, rangers are finally what EVERY OTHER CLASS WAS, FOR 2 kittenING YEARS, BETTER NERF THEM AGAIN.
Funny, Thieves are supposed to be the heavy spike damage class, but it didn’t stop everyone QQing and getting them nerfed into the ground does it. It’s nice seeing other classes trying to defend themselves from the same trash they dished out.
I’ll just play as Riki in DotA 2 instead of this dirge now, at least he feels like a backstab thief…..
Don’t like any of them, will just be doing the track for completion really seeing as it’s the only new thing to do in PvP -.-
Hey but at least we get the immobilise bug and getting trapped in walls fixed on maps though right? oh….
What? This boss was easy 1/1. Quick, nerf all the things!
Like this will kill the class….
I’d much rather they introduce new, pvp exclusive skins rather then add fractal skins into pvp.
So much this. Hopefully the new armor set will mean more of this.
Can I ask why you guys use Scorpion wire with P/P?
I like it because it’s versatile and on a low-cooldown. I mainly use it to interrupt heals/big skills or to set up my unloads and steals. Typically when people get pulled, their first impulse is to immediately dodge roll on wakeup. So I pull, pause, then land anything I want. If they burned a dodge to avoid the pull, that’s also fine by me.
It’s also incredibly useful when chasing opponents that like to run away or for separating squishies from their group. It even lands on opponents that are trying to stealth (<3 SR thieves).
Why on earth would you need scorpion wire to set up a steal?
There is already a huge thread on this. It’s not getting removed no matter what people say. Give it up.
In all probability they are still recovering from the DDoS attacks.
Yeah seriously, you don’t have to drop down into the combat area you know. The most common sense thing to do is to not leave spawn until you’ve got everything set up properly.
Neither it is very supporting for our Guild name,
those gossips go around very quick and sooner or later we’ll be the ‘ddossing Guild ReVo’.
I had some screenshots saved but seems like I’ve already deleted them, basically it was just me reacting on their accusings. I felt a bit stunned especially when they said ‘What a coincidence, it’s always when we’re against ReVo’.
Think you’re going a little overboard with that. It’s been lag city lately, nobody is going to be amassing and blaming a single guild, it’s just the usual crybabies.
Wow… now legitimate tactics are considered cheap….. I just don’t even…
Depending on the situation (team fight or 1v1 or whatever) people can change their reaction, in a team fight, most people moa’d are going to high tail it out of there, but in a 1v1 a lot of people have now adopted the attitude of “ahh sod it” and just go straight for the mesmer – it’s incredibly satisfying killing a mesmer with their own elite XD
I said it before and I will say it again! Thank you for keeping this constructive and civil, that makes coming to the forums very refreshing.
Next I wanted to say my purpose for being here. My goal every time I come to the forums is to create conversation and try to truly understand what each of your thoughts are on a particular topic. Anyone can write “I want XXXXXX” and that doesn’t really mean anything to someone who is not willing to read between the lines. The first question I ask when I see such a statement is, Why and does is affected by that decision?
Luckily our community (yes I mean you fine gentlemen and women) are very good at explaining yourselves and giving great feedback on both high level and a detailed level, and for that I again appreciate you as a community.
Now back to the topic at hand.
I really enjoy the multiple ways that people are trying to solve this specific issue. I know people have been asking for it and that is why I am here. The goal here which a few of you have touched on is that this request actually meshes with a few high level design decisions. For instance:
1. Does this request (bank in the mists) fall into convenience or core functionality?
* Free, Gems, or gold
2. Should this be a reward for PvP’ers only?
* Based off rank, achievements, etc.
3. How do we gate it?
* Time, Prestige, etc.I don’t think these questions are unsolvable by any means, but that still need to be solved. Many have already weighed in on these questions and came up with really good points.
OK. Why does it have to be monetized for the subject to be paid attention to? I’m not trying to be hostile, but it’s a little disappointing when the subject is jumped on the second someone mentions gems.
This is an NPC not a special character/item/event and you can find them in every city and in some areas out in the PvE maps, surely this is something simple to implement should you actually want to. You’re not having to carve up rifts in time and space to achieve the positioning of an NPC.
This is clearly something that is for player convenience rather than something needed, I’m pretty sure that question doesn’t even need to be asked. This is absolutely a quality of life addition that a lot of people are asking for. In most games, if a player is asking for something for a simple convenience, mostly they get what they are asking for to improve their own experience (I’m not saying going through a couple loading screens is hard and I don’t really mind having a bank NPC or not), so shouldn’t that be the main focus issue here rather than turning Fagin and seeing it as yet another opportunity to cash-in on something that other games would have just put in without chasing that dollar.
It’s an NPC, why should it be a reward, why should it be time gated? It’s just to access a bank to clear an inventory, it’s not opening the secret realms of how to obtain precursors…….
Here’s the simplest solution: Add a bank NPC to the mists because players would actually like it, wouldn’t have to leave the mists if they were PvPers, etc etc. Just give the playerbase what they are asking for instead of turning it into an overly complex issue when it totally isn’t one.

Feeling like the unwanted child for past 2 years started to hurt a lot lately.
You should be thankful you’re not an sPvPer then, you’ve had a metric ton more stuff than we have had.
Dear Thieves,
I came here to say that your tears dropping into my beer make it more cold and delicious than any ice.
If you struggle because you can be actually hit outside of Blind/Evade/Stealth spam, maybe that’s the time to become a man, switch something instead going full zerk/full burst damage, take some hits and make our game more healthy and diverse.
With love,
RymDear Deluded Person,
I came here to say that your premature gloating is highly unfounded, in fact, I cheerfully laugh off your Sic Em and your buffs and am certain we will continue to enthusiastically and systematically break you down into nothing but more tears and confusion as to why your buffs didn’t save you.
With love,
S/D thievesDear deluded thief
While you try frantically to hit me, i will laugh as i press my evade buttons, fear you away then spend 12 seconds in safety while pewpewing you to death.
Good luck, sincerely Yours
Glassbow ranger
In all seriousness, 12 seconds of safety? you really think so? Ever heard of breaks, shadowsteps, infiltrators strike? My friend, you need to rethink your ‘safe’ spot, that might work bottom tier, but you’re not making that against anyone skilled
Also, I’m S/D, why do I need to rely on stealth?
You will also continue to be bored out of your skull too….so……meh either way.
LOL so true.
There is ZERO percent chance to beat a turret engi as a thief. NONE. Not with short bow, not with some playstyle change, you CANNOT win. It’s like Necro vs Engi, engi always loses. You can live for 8 seconds on point if you slot daggerstorm, but then you waste an elite just for a small poke. If a turret engi is on a point, dont even try to 1v1. Let him camp and 4v5 and snowball the other points. Turret engi rotates slowly so if he does move off point it’s an easy backcap.

So how have I killed some on S/D + SB then? It’s not impossible, nor does a thief have zero chance, like any other match up that is perceived as difficult or tricky, you have to have patience and play smart.
so if my warrior with “shrug it off” gets hit by a pin down, and “shrug it off” activates “shake it off” there is a chance this bug may occur?
and when it does, my warrior will be rooted in place, despite not having the immobilized condition on him?
Yes.
ouch. thanks for confirming that.
eh, the chance that it occurs, is it 100% confirmed will occur or just sometimes or very high chance it will occur?
Pretty much when it feels like it. It’s not 100% that it will happen.
