Hmm, I used to feel the same, and all the fractal skins I’ve gotten have been sort of useless to me…but at the moment fractal skins are the only real sign of skill in pve. Ofcourse RNG sort of diminishes that since someone could get the skin they want on their first FotM28 run, but all in all I like where they are now. Just play lots of fractals and you’ll get your skins soon enough
How is a weapon that is a random drop in any way a sign of skill?
Sometimes it’s actually better to let the enemy all go down and take it whilst most of your group remains next to points to immediately cap them after tranq has gone off, if most of the enemy are down at tranq, there’s nobody to stop you and it’s a worthless buff to them. Stillness > Tranq.
Huh? how did you manage to salvage this? You even link it in chat like you knew what it was….
I’ve literally never heard of anyone or any group ever kittening to another player about AP because who the heck cares? That’s actually hilarious – not your situation, but that anyone would have taken AP so seriously.
Are you really sure that the ruins of orr region track drops orrian skins? I really don’t want to believe that, it would be such a huge fail for Anet.
Yes, unfortunately, this is indeed the case.
They are OP against scrubs , yes.
I tried to search for you on top 1000 leaderboards but I couldn’t find. However, I would like to know more about your expert opinion. Could you please elaborate it more?
I tried to check what kind of people get killed by a warr, it turned out it was only bads. Also since the ladderboard means so much to you , you can 1v1 me anyday. Any spec except PU.
Interesting that you say this. Seeing as I can kill most of the top players in this game on my warrior, does that mean there are only a few people in this game you don’t consider bad? If that’s the case, you need to reconsider your definition of bad.
You have to also keep in mind that this is the same guy who complains about every other build that he can’t kill. He’s so pro he’ll “1v1 anyday. Any spec except PU” because he’s a scrub and can’t beat it by his own set of definitions.
First they need to make legendaries account bound on acquire, then we can talk about cutscenes and voiceovers.
They used to be soulbound on use and were not able to be placed on the TP. Not sure why they ever changed this.
Keep that 100g for MF attempts, but only when you feel like trying your luck. As I’ve said before, try maybe once or twice a week, and keep building on that 100g as your precursor attempt coffer, so you can buy either materials towards making rares or exo’s, or just buying rares or exo’s from the TP.
I already finished my legendary, I’m looking for a quick profit.
Learn to flip items on the TP. 100g isn’t even close enough for the statistics to work in your favor, assuming it ever could.
I would beg to differ from what I saw last night.
My housemate bought 12 rifles, 3rd attempt he got a Hunter. He then bought 12 shortbows and on the first attempt got a Lover. I decided to try my own luck, bought 20 swords, Zap on 3rd attempt. Sometimes, the forge is on fire.
First time either of us have had a precursor as a drop since we both started back in beta.
In the update review they added ascended weaponsmith they said during this next year they’ll be adding the option to craft precursors.
That was during the ‘looking ahead’ statement they made last year and it was supposed to be scheduled for end 2013. Since then they had stated that the rewards systems had changed after making that comment and that they won’t be adding precursor crafting any time soon.

We should also be able to parkour off of tower and keep walls… oh wait, this isn’t Titanfall…
One guy was ranting at me for killing him in WvW, but the most memorable thing he said out of all his messages, was that I was a true thief at heart, and that the way I play in game, by cheating people with stealth and teleports, is how I act in real life.
Honestly, I almost took it as a compliment, he must have put a lot of effort into that one.
LOL you can teleport in real life? bro, tell me your secrets!
I just find it funny when I get told to hs spam more while I’m playing s/d.
I used to get this a lot, made me chuckle and just shows that a lot of people will want to QQ and clearly don’t understand what they just had a fight with.
Shatter is not an easy to play build for new comers, but if you’re interested in it, I would point you to Supcutie’s shatter guide because not only is he a boss, but he’s an all round nice guy:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1ul7cz/supcuties_comprehensive_pvp_shatter_guide/
Just had a match where everyone on my team had a dragon finisher… Hence R80….
It’s funny because everyone knew where to go they knew the rotations. they knew to focus the enemy treb, they never fought off point etc etc.People can say all they want that rank=/=skill… But I still say that the higher your rank the more likely you are to know what the heck to do in a tournament match… Hence I still think they should implement a min rank requirement to soloque….
R80 may not equate to skill, but it does/should show some kind of experience and knowledge in PvP and know where to go and what to do. What it doesn’t do is necessarily make them a better player against another.
Both phoenix and dragon finisher are very low quality compared to shark emote, let alone gemshop finishers. Anet never fails to disappoint me.
10€ Gem Shop content >> 1000h ingame playtime content
its sad
I really like Phoenix…..
It’s sad though that the gem store finishers just have so much more effort put into them and look a million times better than most rank finishers, it kind of defeats the object of trying to rank up to get them other than letting people know what rank you are. I understand that they want to make money from the gem store, but geez…
This is actually a really good question.
I agree considering I save most of mine to open in one shot to make myself feel better about the lack of rewards XD
Yeah as people have said, it’s a bug, for some reason the dungeon track that is currently in the rotation won’t unlock if you do the story mode. When we’ll see a fix to this is anyone’s guess.
(the amount of times I have had people ask me if I am running pu when regen appears on my buff bar)
Despite being a Power based Interrupt build, I frequently get accused of being a condi based PU build.
People…
Try playing full glass cannon, no PU, and still getting called a PU baddie.
This is what PU has done to our reputation.
No. This is what scrubs do to themselves. It has nothing to do with us, or the Mesmer class. You need to remember that or you’re just as bad as them.
I couldn’t agree more, the fact is, if it wasn’t PU, people would be crying about some other build being cheese or cheap. There is NO cheese or cheap, this is simply the call of the scrub who fails to understand and/or counter said builds that they are crying about. Hell, people cry like little girls when someone uses Moa on them. Yes, how dare mesmers use legitimate traits and skills.
You have the lowest skill floor of all classes and the second most uptime on stealth, I wonder.
Just lol. You guys really need to get together and have a conference, poll or something because one day it’s thief, the next day it’s hambow, then decap engi and now mesmer. Just lol.
(edited by Static.9841)
P.S. being serious, 1HKo PvE system helps a lot gettng better at PvP also.
You learn to look for skill tells and evade them and to stay focused.
No…. learning against AI is not the same as learning to counter other players.
Were you “pro” the first day you entered sPvP? I can hardly imagine it. You were probably as bad as them now. Do you have the right to badmouth and tell them to go back to PvE? No you don’t because you probably have a whole year and a half of experience advantage over them.
Whilst I’m sure this is in part true for a decent amount of people (you have to keep in mind a good amount of people had/have previous experience in other PvP based games). I had never played PvP prior to GW2 and I started it because the combat felt fun. The difference is I listened to my peers in the games and paid attention, unfortunately with the bigger influx of players comes the attitude problem, the vast majority I’ve seen lately just do not want to listen to you and will even talk some smack when you’re trying to help them, it’s also not a case of how you tell them, you could put a cherry on top and people still just get their back up because they are “being told what to do”.
HotM, the new LA, so sad…
Team win > personal point score.
I would like other players to know that I am a great bunker.
Which you can do by actually holding your point and defending it from any enemies incoming to it.
It is weekend, give the guys a break.
Except it’s not just been happening since this weekend, this has been a bug since long before the new feature patch and should have recieved attention a long time ago.
Nah, this has appended before but was fixed, but it’s back since the last patch.
No, it wasn’t fixed, it was still happening. This was happening to me long before the last patch with blinks and shadowsteps.
It is weekend, give the guys a break.

Well the only thing you ever got was basically a few silver because you would eventually craft all the skins you could/want at the rank you were, taking you an eternity to get the skins I thought were cool (cultural etc). And a headache because " balance".
We got skins through ranking up, getting wins in tPvP and from spending glory, yes indeed they would saturate as you got more that were pertinent to your rank, but you still got several per chest.
Yep, cultural and dungeon armors were a fair grind to get (with cultural supposedly being R80 gear which obviously nobody achieved).
But now we’ve had all of our previous rewards taken away and replaced with a lot more PvE component. Skins that we spent a long time earning (due to how many rank points you used to get) that we now have to pay for. Nobody makes you pay for the dungeon gear you got as a reward for handing in your tokens, only if you wished to transmute them onto other stat gear.
Now they have a bigger population for pvp so they can’t actually ignore it for 6 months straight (or I hope). And you get more kitten that can get you to do pve (eww I know).
I hope you’re right on the former part, PvP needs attention, but it needs attention beyond gimmicky reward tracks and a wardrobe system, we need balance, proper leaderboards, seasons etc.
I don’t mind PvE or PvE based rewards, but PvP also needs PvP centric rewards.
I’ve stated this elsewhere. It seems the word “unique” means something different to Anet than it does to everyone else. [insert Inigo Montoya meme here]
The ONLY unique skin we get is the backpack and even that was sellable on the TP so you didn’t even have to PvP for it.
The backpack being a sellable skin was a bug, but that has been fixed.
So the Dev’s said, only It hasn’t, you can still find it on the TP, I also checked last night and mine was still able to be placed onto the TP, so they may have hidden it, but it was still buy and sellable at that time.
(edited by Static.9841)

As far as I’m aware, we can’t even get Masq armor any more (though I’m happy to be corrected). This was obtainable at wolf rank (ie not very high) and can hardly be classified as the “elite gameplay content” that seems Fractals are claimed to be (lol what? Elite since when?)
Balth backpack, yeah, that’s so awesome right? and totally on par with what’s being said in regards to the Fractal weapon skins, not to mention until recently you could sell them on the TP, so yeah, GG for that being PvP only.
Where’s our Aether’s, Foefires Essence, Vision of the Mists, PvP Legendaries etc? To think that PvE doesn’t get more is folly.
To start with lets do a fractal track were agony hits players every 10 seconds and if you don t own a full ascended equipment you die….
That is gear + time gated content…..
Sure thing, while we’re at it, while you’re doing a dungeon run how about out of nowhere 5 other players start wailing on you, because the only way we earned comparable skins is by fighting for them.
Please tell me which Fractal gives agony every 10 seconds throughout the entire act. I guess we’ll also be able to use AR just as you do to mitigate it right? You know, the thing you didn’t need until after level 10 fractal and even come as drops now?
It’s funny how precious some people are being about PvE rewards whilst being painfully ignorant in PvP and farming it without actually paying any attention to the way it’s meant to be played or in fact winning… or team work…. or common sense…
PvP player complains about PvE crossing over – PvE player tells them to deal with it.
PvP player suggests a fractal track – PvE player gets bent out of shape because “ELITE CONTENT!”
You guys just want your cake and eat it don’t you.
(edited by Static.9841)
Ok to anything ascended…
Not ok with fractal skins >.> its the only PvE istancce only rare item not related to gold, TP or Gem shop.Needs to stay as it is.
You d better get your own pvp only skins
Like the ones we’ve had since never? Tell it to Anet, maybe they’ll listen to you PvE’ers because they sure aren’t listening to us about it…..
Fractals are end game content with a defined gear progression that would be side stepped by simply showing up to sPvP matches and getting a pat on the back.
Really? A statless weapon skin intended to be transmuted is gear progression?
Oh wait, you must mean those ascended rings that you can’t get anywhere outside of FotM, oh wait, you can, from Laurel Vendors and Wv3….
So basically, what you’re saying, is it’s ok to be able to get all your skins and use them all in PvP without having had to unlock anything in PvP like we had to due to the new gear unification, but it’s not ok for PvPers to have them be unlocked in PvP without having to do PvE content that they don’t want to? You haven’t earned a single thing in PvE that you should be able to carry across to PvP, you have been given it by the wardrobe inclusion.
(edited by Static.9841)
lol I most enjoy the false wording in these final rewards such as “unique skin” and the fact that dungeon tracks make you think you get a full set. Ah Anet, you trolls!
Problem is not pvp community being toxic…problem is that there are too many pve heroes pretending to go pvp knowing kitten about it just to farm achievements.
The problem is that some PvE players are coming in thinking this is Wv3 where they can group up, zerg as a group and ignore holding any points, they also do not want to listen to anything said to them in team chat no matter how helpful it might be.
It’s all good and well people trying to say to teach them or say it in a nicer way or some garbage, the fact is, you could say things with a cherry on top and people will still ignore it to do whatever the heck they want. You can’t teach the blissfully ignorant nor those unwilling to learn when they want to farm and then get out.
Problem is that pve heroes coming from zergs vs doors actually think they have experience into a competitive environment…wvsw has nothing competitive, it’s just a skilles nab zerging buffs/gear related pve where you can actually kill other players too…commanders, “million wvsw kills” entitled rambos and stuff can’t do kitten in pvp since it’s skill based without huge zergs and crazy stats covering your back…in pvp if you screw up you lose, bad players in team are bad…but those self proclaimed pros coming from a pve mode disguised as pvp are even worse because they don’t even read chat and play for team, just running in circles getting chainganked around screaming for “come 1v1 meee!!1!!1” and so on while losing -300
Pretty much, most of them seem to think it’s about how many kills they have at the end of the game rather than proper team play, holding points and rotation.
There’s a team element to Wv3 sure (smaller groups, not auto-attacking zerg snooze-fest that some people hilariously delusion themselves require any modicum of skill), but to come in thinking you can apply the same type of approach to sPvP is grossly ignorant. You can have 3 people on a point who will ALL chase 1 person who is dead off-point just to get the stomp, capping is a secondary notion to all 3.
Like you said, the real ones want to learn and I’m cool with those guys, the others, yeah, sorry, you’re not getting off with your bs.

As for the hostility (in the OP), is this your first multiplayer game? There’s trash talk in all competitive games, it’s neither hard nor difficult to ignore it.
Perplexity runes are ain’t only the 5 stacks on interrupt, you apply 3 when struck + the confusion duration.
I used D/P for Head Shot
Obviously it’s not, but that was the main draw of them initially (as well as the chance used to be a proc when you hit the enemy, not vice versa), you’re also having to count on a lot of situational circumstances to get the claimed 18 stacks of confusion.
@Static
I used to play it in 50-100 soloque few months ago, and it was even before initiative buff, what made it much stronger.
Stronger than what? No other weapon combo on thief….
P/P is a free kill, it’s garbage tier in tPvP.
WvW is where the best thieves are , period.
No. Not even close. Lets see some of these Wv3 thieves do the same thing in sPvP with no food and no disparity in gear because of ascended.
I’ve -never- had a problem with a thief in Wv3 and I used to roam on a daily basis, I cannot say the same for sPvP. Thieves in Wv3 are a dime a dozen and there have only been a handful that I could even suggest were highly skilled or gave me a run for my money.
It’s random as to what it resets, so the question really is, do you feel lucky punk? well, do yah?
P/D perplex with the new trickery grandmaster trait is stupidly OP. I tried it out, it’s easy mode game
Where are you getting your interrupts from to make the 6th rune viable and functional?
With bewildering ambush the confusion is guaranteed, but triggering perplex is harder to pull off with basilisk or d/p headshotting. I’ve stacked bewildering ambush + throw gunk + perplex (4) and (6) to get 18 stacks of confusion
How exactly? you’re using D/P? so how are you stacking anything from gunk when you need to fire through it? Also, WHY would you use D/P on a condi perp build? This would also be purely situational on getting gunk from an engi or an NPC as well as having the #3 trigger, so it’s not exactly something you can pull of reliably or often.
So, judging that you’re using P/D on one set, you’re saying you steal into your enemy for 5 stacks and C&D (I would expect), throw gunk (which would then reveal yourself and not give you a stealth shot) or you click off target and throw it between you and the target hoping that they stay between you and the gunk, then stealth shot, then headshot and also get hit to trigger the #3? I’m with the guy on planetary alignment.

It is made mostly for ambushes and fire support in sPvP. With that much power, might and crit, you can one-shot another glass cannon from range, and finish off fleeing low HP enemies without problem.
You bring a P/P anywhere near a competent group of players or a team in tPvP and you’ll be the biggest and deadest joke on the battlefield. I have met exactly zero P/P thieves in PvP that gave anyone a problem and I play every day.
The MMR is way more solid than it has ever been and allows us to play with players close to our top only.
LOL what? This isn’t even close to being correct. Had several matches last night, 5 dragons vs Dolyaks or lower, they got utterly facerolled, how is this solid MMR? None of the matches were even kind of close.
U dont get sarcasm do u?
Clearly that one passed me by :p
The patch wasn’t made for spvpers in mind, so you will never get the rewards corresponding to the time you wasted in spvp, but any changes are better than that crap we had before.
So basically it’s better than nothing
From a purely devil’s advocate point of view, how is it better? The reward tracks now give us 3 weapons and 1 armor skin with some mats (if you’re a pure PvPer, you probably won’t have use for anyway). Now, we used to be able to win a tournament match and get a chest which contained skins, earn glory to spend on skins, craft skins with PvP materials and so on. Now we get rewards at a much slower rate and everything is with PvE in mind, sort of counter-productive to PvP no? In effect, we’ve been given considerably less, so no, it’s not better than nothing.
You should have received at least 57 transmutation charges for free so I don’t see how that can present a problem.
The problem is in that we now have to PAY for rewards we have already earned. PvE players can do a dungeon, buy a reward and equip it. We have to pay for the privilege with every piece we earned before the patch. How do you not see this as a problem?
At least we got some balance in PvP though right? right? oh.. no, wrong.
The MMR is way more solid than it has ever been and allows us to play with players close to our top only.

Guys, guys, it’s cool, delete this thread, they answered your prayers and removed Capricorn.
Oh wait…
The map is a joke for competitive play.
That’s not true, it’s a competition for who has the most CC!
In all seriousness, I like the map, or rather the idea of the map, I just highly dislike how it is just all about who has the most CC.
(edited by Static.9841)
Somewhere to sit and facepalm…..
I just made arah story and nothing has changed .
Arah is currently in rotation, so it’s unlocked anyway until the timer runs down. I would imagine that because you’ve done the story it will stay that way after the timer has ran out.
I think this is a much much better system then any other game, as you basically have a bank for every skin in existence, you start with a nice amount of transmutes and you gradually earn stones to transmute by playing the game
You were given 1 charge per rank in pvp, 5 free and if you played any pve whatsoever you had a large stockpile of stones, I ended up around 150=80+5+65~(stones) and I got about 3-4 from doing reward tracks just yesterday, so I’m alright with this.
I think what you don’t understand, which was posted above, is that we are now being charged to use skins that we previously had unlocked as rewards and could use at any convenience and suddenly we’re now slapped with a limitation.
In PvE I can do an Arah run and choose from a set of stats, if there’s not a combo I like, sure, I could have transmuted them, but I still have an item I can use. This is not the case for PvP, we unlock a skin not an item now and we are charged for the privalege of using it, effectively making us pay for our rewards!
There are also other things that PvPers are not happy about including no longer being able to enter the mists and be in our PvP ready gear because of the unification of equipment, we now have to carry a seperate set and switch into everything. Sure this is a quality of life switch, but quality of life changes are supposed to be improvements, instead we’ve had a lot of convenience that we’ve had since release taken away and given an encumberance penality in the form of having to carry a bunch of different sets around instead.
As far as getting more people into PvP, I love this idea, it would be stupid to say otherwise and I wouldn’t be supporting PvP if I thought it should only be for a select few or the old guard who keep suggesting PvP should only be for them. unfortunately this also brings the type of player who will farm certain rewards and have a poor attitude doing it: there was a screenshot posted where a PvE player stated how they will just sit afk at the base so they don’t have to make any effort for the reward – this is the kind of trash we don’t want.
And therefore….ding ding ding!…the two worlds were separate and isolated and you could work for prestige skins in one world independent of the other.
Wow, talking to you is quite the painful experience. No. just no. Trying to readjust your words because you’ve been called out once again doesn’t change your statement.
“Us PvP’ers chose to discard PvE in the hopes of being special in our own isolated world”
Duh – of course it is. This isn’t some major revelation. Why else do we play an MMO if not for ego?
Oh dear…
It was clear from the outset that all of your QQing was down to personal selfishness rather than what PvPers want, you know, that shield you always try and hide behind and bring up to try and bolster the argument you constantly fail to have?
Love how this is your go-to any time something that streams from your keyboard is brought back up against you.
Then by all means throw my (documented) words back in my face and I will be forced to eat humble pie. Strange how it can be so easy for you to shut me down by providing my own words (which you seem to remember so well) and are still unable to do so.
I wonder why.
I’m too lazy (and at work right now) to sift through your incessant prattling just to kitten slap you with your own words.
Most of these issues don’t bother me, but the fact that I can put 500 hrs into a specific character and not be able to transfer the same look I wore before patch due to being lvl 2 really annoys me.
Yeah, this is definitely irritating. Having Justin tell people “oh just use tomes” etc is all good and well, but I don’t think they quite understand that some PvPers constantly reroll characters without levelling them.
(edited by Static.9841)
You’re not listening. Pride in skins that you can use in PvP. Previously you could PvE all you wanted, but couldn’t get your stuff into the isolated PvP environment. Did you know this?
Can you read? I was pointing out that this also worked vice versa.
What has been taken away is prestige. And that is why people play for money and rewards in the first place.
WHAT prestige? Playing longer than the person standing next to you? ZOMG call the FEDS! The only thing harmed here seems to be your personal ego.
Citation please.
Love how this is your go-to any time something that streams from your keyboard is brought back up against you.
The betrayal is this:
We sweated and worked for our skins in PvP where we could distinguish ourselves within PvP itself. Now PvE’ers have their legendaries in PvP and that pride is lost
Pride over skins you can get in PvE? Really? If you went to PvE you wouldn’t have any skins and vice versa, now you can use all your PvP skins anywhere without the annoyance of dungeon runs etc. The only problem I see here is how dumb it is to have to keep spending charges to pay your PvP appearance.
The betrayal is this:
We get a pittance of champ chests as a “reward” for zooming to r80 where PvE players can just go on a champ train for 2 hrs and get the same amount of champ chests.
This isn’t a betrayal because nothing has been taken away in terms of PvE rewards/money, this is however sadly the norm for PvP. Yeah I think there’s huge desparity between loot in PvP and PvE, but neither you nor I first got into PvP because of any gold we could get out of it when it wasn’t even an option, so lets be real about this.
Reward tracks are a bit meh, unique ones cool, but instead of ranking up and trading skins for glory, we are now getting the same skins via reward tracks. I’m still not sure how I feel about this.
The betrayal is this:
High ranked players put in a huge amount of time getting their r55+ ranks and they earned the prestige it bought them along with finishers. Now everyone above r55 is the same and all that hard work is wasted.
In short, the betrayal lies in the loss of prestige that dediacated PvP players have earned over the past 1.5 years. We deserve better than having our hard work eradicated.
Sorry bud, but I can’t agree with you here when you were one of the people stating R55s didn’t even rate an opinion, now you’re using 55 and above as your shield for argument?
Tbh they shouldve given us a charge for every skin we unlocked.
I… really like this idea.
We all saw this coming miles away. I loved PvP, but there’s nothing in it for me now. Us PvP’ers chose to discard PvE in the hopes of being special in our own isolated world locked away from the legendaries etc of PvE. We thought it was a good deal because PvE’ers could never bring their stuff into the mists. We were betrayed. Now we have nothing, everyone is dragon and random people are bringing in their stuff from PvE.
I get nothing except a tiny bunch of rank up chests with champ loot bags that I could have farmed in Frostgorge in two hours. All our hard work is down the drain.
Can’t bring myself to play after this betrayal.
Moral of the story: Don’t play an MMO that tries to be “different” (aka no grind) because they just hand out stuff for free and don’t value the hard work that others have put in before.
Sometimes I wonder if I’m playing the same game. Who cares what skins PvE players are bringing into PvP. Get this straight, you are NOT a unique and special snowflake because you chose to play PvP, nor were we ever “in our own isolated world locked away” when you can enter the mists at the click of a button. Furthermore, we all knew that playing PvP we were the minority of players that make up the game, we all knew that players could get the same skins we gain in PvP a lot easier/quicker than we could by grinding the ranks, this is nothing new.
This sounds like you have too much envy over what skins players who chose to PvE have gained and you don’t – we chose to PvP, some of them chose to pursue legendaries.
All you seem to do is find something trite to QQ about. What hard work is down the drain from the unification of skins? You have the same skins PvPers had access to bar legendaries and certain forge weapons. Big deal. What else were we ever getting that made our/your/your cousins-sister’s-nephew’s-fathers-former-roomate’s hard work down the drain?
LOL betrayal, get a grip.
Wow, cheese and crackers.
At what point has anyone prominent in the pvp community wanted to be a special snowflake?
Did I aim this at you? He’s pretty deluded thinking PvP was locked away and isolated when in reality a lot of players simply chose not to play it.
All anyone has ever wanted was equal treatment, no special treatment, but a pvp player playing from day 1 and suppourting the game through gemstore purchases has been dumped one, while a pve player doing the same now has the best skins to use in both pve and pvp.
Again, we knew very well the difference in ease/grind that PvE players could get skins compared to PvP, hell, you don’t even start getting dungeon armor sets (flame legion) until rank 50. This is not old news.
Of course I think that PvPers should get equal treatment in general. My biggest complaints on this patch is now having to pay to switch gear in PvP with charges when it used to be free because hey, my locker used to contain tons of the things. I also really hate how they have implemented PvE to PvP armor/weapon/build homogenization because it’s clunky as hell and hasn’t exactly brought this “ease of use” that devs were citing for their reasons.
Being special snowflakes might be wanting a patch that puts all of our time spent in pvp to put us ahead of players in pve, even further ahead of players who have been playing pve since day 1 even though we might have never done pve even once.
Such as? Again, this was aimed at his massive QQ over skins which is such a huge betrayal apparently.
PvE players are indeed given a bigger advantage now with easier ranks (which still take time to gain if they want to hit 80), but this wasn’t the complaint outlined here.
I’m pretty sure the Dragon finisher existed BEFORE the patch. It’s not a new thing, it’s just the first time people got to dragon and could finally see it.
I don’t think it was previously available. There’s a huge disparity between the quality of Phoenix and Dragon. I’m not going to complain too hard because I didn’t earn it by hitting 80 legitimately (mind you, neither did anyone else), but at this point, I’d trade it in for the GW1 dragon which looked pretty awesome.
+1 on this, they really didn’t think very hard about this aspect at all.
As lordkrall said, you need to do story again after the patch for each dungeon. The devs stated a little while back that with the reward tracks, if they are not in rotation, EVERYONE will have to redo story again to unlock them, even if you’ve done them before.
