A GC ele without defensive utility skills is the weakest thing in this whole game. (except for maybe a GC thief who DOESNT use stealth).

If you’re going gc without defensive utilities and stunbreaks you’re basically asking for being bursted down by pretty much every gc on the other team passing by…no matter which class are you playing..

While it may hold true with other GC because they don’t have to give up their Ults to Burst, while Eles, to be equal on Dams on Burst with other, they HAVE TO give up at least 1 slot of their Ults.

All burst combo has a way to counter, except for Mesmer. Most of the Burst can not be repeatedly in a short time frame, never be under 10s, except Mesmer. Mesmer Burst is the only combo that can not be evaded if played right. Plus you can get the combo every 8 sec if traited (bf patch), so I believe that Sword Nerf is justify. And yes, I agree that the change should be made for PvP, but not PvE or WvW.

Now I have completed my personal story Quest, and I miss all the cutscene that had been played while doing Story Quest. I don’t want to read the whole text, nor it is so boring to do so. So, I suggest we should have a Complete Personal Story Cutscene to remind how great we are..It would be so great to have that option.What u guys think?

I am thinking about a new Bunker Build, which is 0/0/20/20/30. 20 in Earth ofc will be for Rock Solid. The reason for me to pick it up is Stability in Rock Solid is good for stomping as well as escaping plus helping your teammate. I have tested it and it is only good if you are bunk mid, roaming is hard since u lost Swiftness, if you are back Bunker, it will be a wasted for Rock Solid. So I want to ask community is it worth it to take Rock Solid over 30 pts in Water? Thank you.

Oh cool, now this is l2p issue here. Like Fighter said, in team fight, (since u mention it), it is way harder to predict the Curtain because you can simply put down the Curtain near us (NOT DIRECTLY NEXT TO US), then pull. After all,Curtain is a Mid-range skill. Now let assume you see it, how you gonna dodge it as soon as it being laid down (not even freaking 1s until you realize you are being pulled, like mili-second). It is just like we tell us to doge our Electric Discharge as soon as you see us on Air Attunment, you know it is impossible right?

By S./D burst, you means Buring Grasp… lol, really?? They have casting time dude, not instant…Learn the game a bit more bf putting down any statement as if it is a fact. Even so, gosh, Burning Grasp got a HORRIBLE hit box….

Lol…. The s/d burst is the lighting attunement + arcane skills. It actually takes u down 50% of HP vs a glass, same of a shatter…

First, this combo is only works vs Glass as you said. Second, the Eles need to be Glass himself to deal that much dams. Third, it requires Switch to Air, Electric Discharge, Auto Attack Air 1, Air 2, Arcane Blast and Arcane Wave. Fourth, to pull this one out you need to be Melee Range. So let say, to pull this off requires a lot of Set Up to do the Burst. Note that, while we doing all of this, Opp still free to move, so for a skill player dodging this combo a piece of cake. Why? Because Arcane Wave is our main Dams for this burst, and simply can be dodged by…dodge. Now let say to pull this one off, we have to sacrifice 2 offensive Ultilities which will in turn reduced our Survivability A LOT,plus 1 Weapon skill to be put on CD, not to mention being Glass ourselves. All of this can only acquired every 30s (Arcane Wave is a must and it is 30s CD)..And only taking down 50% HP even if you are Glass.

Now back to your Mesmer, with your combo, all you need to do is Dodge Dodge (2 clone),S#3 (Cripple), Lay down the curtain (u don’t even need to position yourself), Pull (Op knock down), S#3 (Immobilized), S#2, then Shatter. Not just it deals more dams than our Eles Burst Combo plus you put Conditions on top of all that, so even op tried to heal or doing anything after that, he will take dams from Confusion. All your skills has much shorter CD ( Temporal Curtain 25s CD), sure you may say it makes no different with 5s different but your combo is so easy to pull off at anytime given as long as you have S2/S3/Shatter button up. Temporal Curtain is a bonus but not a must. A Zerker Eles will die if it full Shatter on the face. On top of everything else, you still have all your Break Stun Ultilies available for dire situation.

See that different? S/D Eles, once u fail the burst, you are dead and can only pull off once every 30s, no Conditions Dams is put to pressure further more. One you can pull out more frequently and you still have your escape mechanism available for escape.

Now tell me which one is better?

P/S: Your also is an Instant Combo as well if by your definition, it requires no casting time skill.

Edit: Since you talk about Teamfight, our Eles Burst combo is only for 1 (except Wave is AOE) vs your Mesmer Burst Combo which is AOE (Curtain-AOE,BF-AOE, Shatter-AOE)

I have a hard time choosing which one since they both help fasten Endurance. One is boon which can be removed and have to be Crit, one is permanent. Since I plan on using S/D Set, question is which can be more benefit to me as a 0/30/0/10/30 or 0/30/0/20/20. Please help, thanks.

You can still have 30 on EA, but if this goes true, you can have an extra specific Attunment your choice.

With the current patch being released today, Fresh Air trait is really caught my attention. Is it just a coincidence or there is something else behind this change? My prediction is in the future, we will see similar Grandmaster trait on Fire,Water, and Earth Tree, maybe something like this:

Grandmaster Earth Trait (name) : When you get disabled (immobilise, Stun,Dazed,etc..)
reset your Earth Attunment recharge rate.

Grandmaster Water Trait (name): When you have 4 or more Conditions on you, reset your Water Attunment recharge Rate.

I still have not think what is good for Fire Trait yet. Help from everyone else is very appreciated. With this change, Anet give the player the choice to be specialize in one specific Attunment,and help with Diversity. Soon,we will see Fire Eles, Air Eles, Water Eles, Earth Eles who are specified in one tree. What do you guys think about this future?

Pity me or not I don’t care. At least with this patch, War comes with buff too. Back when they nerf RtL, is there any buff to compensateNot once but twice (change to 15s to 20s, then kitten 40s for a simple moving skill), tell me if you are not mad with this change at all,do you, do youOfc, I forget you are not playing Eles. And you can dig up my past all you want, this is the only complaint I have about, freaking 40s RtL,as if it can kill any people with that.Duh.And we only complain about that,any other nerf to the class, I do not complaint. Kiting is what Eles do.
Never stand still and let things hit you. And try dagger/dagger.

D/D under lv 60 is a way to die fast UNLESS you are experience with Eles. In this case, you should not be dying a lot.

There are none other class out there that has a trait that reduce CD of ALL skills (Weapon Set + Ultility). All of them either one type of Ultility (Cantrip,Trap,Etc..) or one type of weapon set only, with the exception of Mesmer. On top of that,they have also our normal reduce CD trait as well, combine these two together is way over the top. With mere 5 points, you have 40% CD reduction on ALL skills that summons Illusions on ALL weapon set, also included 20% CD of All ultilities skill that also spawn clones(40% if traited), not to mention you have three skills that spawn clones PLus Breakstun skill. With mere 5 pts, that is way too many advantages with hardly any effort at all if any. While I disagree with you about this change is unnecessary, they are mandatory for a more healthy game experience but still think they make it minor trait for grandmaster is a bit too much, rather I would say make it MAJOR trait is Master is sufficient.

When the patch coming out. I will try new Bunker Build 0/0/20/30/20 or 0/0/20/20/30 since Rock Solid move to Master Trait. Hm.. Stability 2s every 9s is way too good to pass on. We can either use BOON duration Runes (Monk, Water,..) and Aura give Protection. For lack of Mobility, Signet of Air will worth a slot since it is now a Stun Breaker and a Nice AOE Blind.

Thief, Necro, Mesmer are three classes that need to be killed on sight., like period. Thief by himself is already a big threat already.

Stealth rush, Stealth res, Kill people faster, Solo Boss,Jump on people, mobility,etc.. If you are talking about defensive side, then no, Thief is not that good at, but on the offensive side, thief is one of the best to select.

Btw, you are not as good as him. So you are bad. Just saying.

I know what they are doing, erase Eles from the Prof List once by once until it is gone without notice

It is normal for low Lv. Eles at low lv really suck at defense themselves. The only way for you to survive in lower lv is use Ranger Weapon (Staff-Specter/Dagger Set) and put as many pts as you can into Water tree until you have at least 20 pts in Water, then put the rest to Arcane until you have 20pts in Arcane tree. Pick up P/T/V Gear as many as you can. Until you are at least lv 60+, then you will have easier time to play. Below 60, endure the pain and reap the reward
