I’ve seen a few erroneous things like this lately as well. But it’s only been happening for the last few weeks, that, or I never noticed it before. ;p

- Warriors that can Teleport
- Rangers that vanish repeatidly as if they were dropping in and out of Stealth (Including pets)

Either there are some serious hacks/bugs around atm, or I am losing my mind.

Yeah, I would agree that this trait, along with the minor trait that is an 8% chance to be immune to a condition is pretty stupid and shouldn’t be in the game. Yes, it’s not like it’s uncounterable, but in 1v1s against a condition class this is kind of stupid. It’s one thing to build around beating condition classes, but I think this is straight up way too much.

Good lord, I will agree with this change IF make Condition being affected by Toughness and Protection, no AOE Condition Spam, no class can proc 4 Conditions under 10s with AUTO ATTACK. Then we can discuss.

yes, because someone who dies is also 15 seconds out of the game and go to a spawn point. Dying is part of the game…

And so knowing when need to be disengage is also part of the game. And so choosing a class that incapable of stoping them from disengaging is also part of the game. If you want to outrun people, don’t play Necro. If you want to be a Condi Pressure, don’t play Warrior, simple as that.

So if one day,there are no point for killing, would you still want to kill?

So what i learned from this thread so far

1- With automated response, i am a living god under 25% hp. Necro can no longer do any sort of damage!

2- Necro dont want to l2p or adjust, they want their counter to be nerfed so they can kill it.

3-The game should be tuned for 1v1 fight

4-Some skills on my engi got new abilities i didnt know about and i can double take grandmaster traits!

Seriously, i did give it a whirl next week and a good necro was still able to kill me with it. In most aspect of the game, that trait is near worthless, HgH is much better. Its only a somewhat counter to bad necro running full condi.

As I’ve stated many time’s Mr. ObviouslyDefensiveEngi. This effects melee power builds FAR more than ranged condition players. We can’t slow, chill, immobilize or otherwise CC you, meaning you can run around with your speedy kits while we look stupid. Also 1v1 DOES matter. Where there’s only 5 people per team in a map 1v1 happens a TON, the sooner you realize that in small scale pvp the more balance the better, that would be great. I’m sick of hearing “you shouldn’t be able to kill x” or “x shouldn’nt be able to do this”. “Shouldn’t” is a terrible design flaw and is boring. Bunkers SHOULD DIE 1v1 IF outplayed, but generally be able to last longer than glass. So now that all of that is off my chest…

Stop pretending this is a necro condi flavor of the month defense only. Its far worse on ANY melee build out there that relies on condies to keep on on their target…

One advice from me, OP: Read all the response and L2P. And no, this is not an insult, I really mean it literally, LEARN TO PLAY. You know it is there, you know its coming, you have prepare for it. Job Done… I play Bunker Triple Kit (FT,Bomb,Tool kit), my only condition removal is from Healing Turret and this trait. So no, WE ARE NOT IMMUNE TO CONDITION AT ALL.

Talking about hack, a while ago, I don’t know when, a guy shows a hack on YouTube using Elementalist char using skill with NO Cd at all. One Dragon’Breath after another, Fire Graps after another Fire Graps with no CD at all. I don’t know if this is the hack you see him using?k

People tend to mistake what they don’t know but still trying to be a scholar. They get killed by an Eles,because most of Eles running bunker Triple Cantrip, they thought Eles was so tanky, has good healing, massive burst dam, can kill people in 1 shots, blah blah blah…. Therefore, cry how OP the class is. While those who actually understand the class and the difference between two specs, they need to vent up their slip to let people know that they both are not the same. Some people just won’t listen…

Let me tell you my story. Once, we were being lead by the score of 250-300, with 2 captured point belong to the opposed team. We decided going for Transqulity, I, bunker Eles with my friend, Bunker Guardian, reached the point first. There are 4 others of the other team there as well to make sure we would not get the Transquility. We 2 hold them 4 quite well on our own. So we told our other 3 mates to go for their points instead and decaf them. The match turned into our favour and we won.

Lesson: Transquility is a buff but your main point is not getting it but to prevent other team to get it. If they are overextend themselves, your team could easily triple cap with no need of Transquility. So it is ok as it is.

Then come Necro Nerf time. Time to re-roll ( add FOTM).

engineer bomb kit= you don’t even need to target. Just round around in circles and spray fire bombs everywhere and then run off. I just had the pleasure of being part of spvp team where my entire team left. The opposition was 30 ranks higher than most people on my team. They consisted on engi, mesmer, necro, thief, ranger with longbow..traveled as zerg and destroyed everything through pure control and lockdown. By end of game it was 500-57..worst game I’ve played or seen. By virtue the other 3 members of my team left and were in starter armour, I’m guessing they won’t return.

As an engineer myself, I won’t find myself using bomb that often unless we both are in melee battle. If you stay range, I just simply waste one of my precious Ults slot. Also BoB is so easy to dodge, I really mean it. Oh and pre-made beat pugs most of the time. It is the match matching fault, and design flaw, has nothing to do with Class skills.

I don’t know why pve’ers/wvw cry about ele nerfs. Hardly any of the ele nerfs exist out of spvp. I have put my ele on hold in spvp because sor was over nerfed (I don’t like glyph heal) but it wasnt touched in wvw/pve. Healing ripple and Evasive Arcana nerfs as well were just in spvp. My ele in WvW and PvE is kitten good and Im not even in ascended gear yet. Are you crying about not having 3 stun breakers? That’s just a l2p problem.

Right… No one has ever been effected in WvW by moving 4 times slower. Clearly a l2p issue for those people that can no longer outrun zergs or catch up to their targets.

It is a l2p issue if you believe we are unable to outrun a zerg as Ele. We still have a lot of mobility with rtl not getting affected by cripple or chill and the 1200 range along with fgs, swiftness and lightning flash to escape from zerg or catch up even thieves. If fgs mobility gets nerf then it will hurt all eles that are not from the norm race in term of mobility.

I think it is soooo cute that you claim to play this game and also claim that an ele can catch theives! Trolling is bad, stop it.

Sure Elementalist still need a bit of work, and yes the RTL nerf is extreme and too much. But the class is still very playable, it’s still a staple in tpvp, staff eles are MANDATORY in organized large group 15+ WvW play. DD and S/D eles can roam still especially if you pair up with a thief. Yes solo roaming took a hit, get over it or go roll a thief.

Why don’t you watch the Xunleashed video if you demand something right now? It’s a pretty good showcase of a skilled elementalist.

What I means is we has been reduced from an excellent roamer to a class that is dependent large in group. In short, we can not do anything on our own.

LoL, I just have a few rounds with my friends on what so called Skilled needed map, Skyhammet. We fight on even ground, then suddenly, my friend blast me away with his Flamethrower. Guess where I ended up with… On a glass of the lower floor and while my face still kicking the floor, the glass break…Whewww, so much for being skilled…

Fighting on the Cannon room at choke point as a Bunker Guardian, simply go in the middle and use shield 5, wheww, push 3 players off the other team drop to death. Yah, skill FTW….I did the same with my Necro, while they are busy fighting my teammates, sneaky kitten I am, throw Fear Mark right in the middle, Wheww, they flee on the ath of death…. So much for calling being competitive.

Sign…. Sure it is fun and fresh for a change, but in tPvP, it is just….horrible.

To sorrow: If you think the map really take skill to play, go play me on Cannon platform. No need to fight somewhere else because if you have the cannon, you win. So let see how your skill to positioning that matter in that platform…

Back to your lv 52 Jade Maw, sure you can tell right now that nobody can kill it but can you be this certain in the future? When people start to have a full pt that consists of every member who has 60 AR? Please tell me which kill you? Direct Dams from Maw or Agony effect? Again, I ask for your honesty.

I do get it that “What is good in PvP does not mean it is good in PVE” and I agree with you if you look back at my post and search for War Example. What you don’t get is PvE is not as Challenge as PvP or WvW when there are actual Human involve, apart from simple mind people.

Do you know why PvP is the only Part of the game that ever had any sort of balance? Simple reason because there are Human involved in the process and there were no such things as OP or UP class to begin with. However, the mess we have nowadays thanks to Anet’s laziness to do balance PvP apart from PvE and WvW. And that is the problem. Like I said, most of the time, the nerf are supposed for PvP only affect PvE and WvW as well, and the answer is just right above this sentence. Also, if other stronger class happen to be better than the class they are playing, do people care? No because it does not affect them in anyway. What PvE players have that PvP players don’t is Fun and Enjoy Moment.

2 profession that monopolise 90% of the game, I willing to bet that you are mention Thief for WvW and Warrior for both. It was balanced at the beginning, then PvP balance come into play that also affect PvE and WvW, and we have the result nowadays.

No I did not miss the thing you just listed. And I do play PvE, got 3 lv 80s, and most of the title in PvE currently available. My personal FOTM is lv 30 and yes I have all my 80s Chars equipped with all Ascended Item. So yes I do know a thing or two about PvE.

Talk about lv 52 Jade Maw, the problem with it is its design, not the lack of AI. Even if it has absurd stats but if it gives us time to prepare, then it is a piece of cake to kill. It is dangerous because the design it is set is absurd, not because of the stats.

I question you are actually play PvP at all, because like I said, I can build my Eles, even into Full Dps (30/30/0/0/10), wear full Berserker Armor and still has no problem in PvEor WvW. Now the same build, bring it to PvP, I would love to kill even one PvPers with it when alone when they just can 1 shoot you from afar.

Then again, the only thing I agree with you is PvP and PvE are two different aspects of the game and need to be address differently.

Back to the topic, there is no such thing as OP or UP when it comes to PvE or WvW. However, when it comes to PvP, the OP class and UP prof have been distinguished clearly. Hence, complaining.

A lot of time, PvP balance affect too much to PvE and WvW balance. It is Anet way of doing things.

Great idea but I prefer Devs uses the time to fix our Staff problem rather than introducing something new. Keep it coming though. Don’t let my post discourage you from brainstorming

Kill 52 Jade Maw? Is that even hard to begin with? All it does is repeat the same pattern over and over again? Get rid of all the permanent reflecting shield on those Colosus Golem (because I play range), then it is a piece of cake. Talking about Dus, yes AI did solo Spider Queen,I did solo AC boss p1, yes I did solo TA bosses. Once you know the trick, they are so easy to kill. Now back to WvW players, save for some simple mind people, they are not easy to deal with.

I don’t look down on PvE nor WvW just because I am a PvPers. But saying PvE is more challenge than WvW or PvP is simply not right.

I am all Ear to see how Eles can shine in this map with our CC we have, Updraft at 40s CD and only hit for a small area in front of you. Sure we can stay alive by giving ourself stability every 10s if trait and other Class can bring 4,5 CC and spam it….Oh and did I forget bout the Cannon that cover large area, deal dams equal to 80% of our health and undodgable ?

Yup right, CC Spamming Feast. Here I come. And yet we do have some topic against spamming and yes this map is exactly what you guys are against, Spamming CC.. We have Spam Evade, Spam Conditions. Now Spam CC. What’s next?

The problem is the chest I open, 5 out of 6 are the stuff I already have. In some extreme case, 6/6. So, I salvage them all and wala, before I realize, I got 2000 Piles of Powder stock in bank and inventory.

Leave it as Hotjoin, remove it from Tourney Map Rotation. Done and done. Both fun and competitive,

No No No, Forever say NO. There are so many wrong with this map just over the top of my head.

1/ The map promotes CC too much, specifically the KB and Fear. More often than rare, you will see Engine, Necro all over the map and multiple in one team. How does that promote diversity?

2/ The quickest way to kill OP so far. Push OP out of the ledge, GG. How does that promote skill play?

3/ In a scenario, you still alive after being pushed down, how you get back up besides let the Worms down there kill you? Either way, you still need to be Dead to get back in the fight? How does that promote a decent fight?

4/ The match become a Competitive Pushing Tournament instead where both teams compete for pushing the opposite off ledge and just win from point killing OP? So what is the point to be a Conquest Mode Map PvP?

Etc…

I believe there are a lot more issues regarding to this map. Overall rating, Beyond Comprehensive Bad.
