Aurene would be Kralkatorrik’s enemy, so if Lazarus was a dragon minion (makes no sense as there’s very very few dragon minions that autonomous and even those who are, none look like a normal living being), so why would he give away a purified egg of a dragon that could potentially become an Elder Dragon and therefore a great threat and rival to food source?
You’re overlooking Labwan the Deceiver, who was both autonomous, and a powerful enough mesmer to pass as a member of the pact despite being risen. As you say, very rare, but we have previously seen at least one dragon minion who was capable of passing as a normal living being.
Looks like it’s now on sale
It’s not a sale. They permanently dropped the price. The funny thing is, it’s been hovering around $30 for over a year now at official 3rd party retailers; DLGamer.us for example.
It seems odd to drop the price now, considering the next expansion will likely be revealed within the next 3 months. They offered 5 months of refunds when HoT was first available for pre-purchase. Either the next expansion is over a year out, they’re no longer going through with their 1 box model, or maybe the pricing rumor was true.
That was slightly different, though – the refunds covered the five months after HoT was announced, during which the FAQ said you’d need to buy the original game first to play HoT.
Well, now we know it won’t be the last episode but the penultimate one. And the trailer is giving hints of possible locations as well.
Edit: Guys, I would like to point your attention towards this (see attachment).
Quora Sum is likely the Asuran location we see in the Episode 5 trailer! Also, it might add to the speculations regarding time and Palawa Joko’s return?
I think that flavour text is more likely nothing more than a call-back to Utopia, where the staff originated from (before ending up as a bonus item with Eye of the North).
I wasn’t suggested he was a good guy, instead that he’s someone with designs on Aurene. The why – Aurene is potentially very powerful, so could be a plan to end up in control of her, or perhaps the plan is to fatten her up with more magic to kill later for a magical feast, given this is someone who managed to absord the bloodstone’s magic. The how & when – well, you could ask those questions on any theory behind Lazarus, that neither proves nor disproves anything.
However, both Randulf and I have already expressed doubts there’s more to this than the two scenes felt similar.
Something this reminded me of (which may or may not be completely irrelevant here) is some of the dialogue from Hidden Arcana, where Marjory and Kasmeer are surprised by, but seem to recognise, who gave the Master of Peace the egg – something that’s not really been revisited since, nor has it been revealed who they though it was.
It reminded me in the same way too, not that i can find much plausability in any potential link mind you.
The only relevance I could think of that isn’t a massive stretch, is that we know Lazarus has an interest in Aurene’s survival. Someone powerful enough to convincingly impersonate a Mursaat, could they also have been impresonating whoever that was in Glint’s lair? I.E. fake-Lazarus has been lurking in the background a lot longer than just season 3.
- At 0:51 there’s a brand new green-destroyer model, as well. There may be more, finally some diversity in destroyers.
As to Lazarus “definitely being not Lazarus” – I wouldn’t be so sure. The PC’s lines are, after all, created from an incomplete perspective that we players know more about (that being that Lazarus can physically exist without all his aspects). All the lines prove is that the artifact did indeed have an aspect of Lazarus, if we take them at face value.
And whoever Lazarus truly is, it would seem that Kasmeer’s surprised by it (if the lines-to-imagery is giving an accurate depiction). Which if so implies Kasmeer knows something about his true identity (that is: knows who the person pretending to be Lazarus is, not that they were pretending to be Lazarus).

im curious whats tha green thing after the destroyer the one that looks like its roaring
I looks to me like it’s just another Mordremothed destroyer, albeit a form we haven’t seen before. From the mouth and eyes, it looks rather spidery.
I bound TeamSpeak push-to-talk to 1 on the number pad. While chatting to a guild mate, I tried to instantly sell a 2s rune, and wasn’t really paying attention to the screen. I accidentally listed it for 1111g 11s 11c, and ended up paying over 50g as a listing fee.
I don’t use push-to-talk any more.
When I click on the GW2 logo near the top of the website, it goes to the 404 error page.
It looks like it should link to https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/ (the GUILDWARS2.COM link directly above the logo links here and works fine), but the link actually goes to https://www.guildwars2.com/uk which doesn’t exist.
Same as the OP …
a long week gone to waste,
the reward snatched away from within grasp
and I feel cheated:I had looked for an indication of the remaining time,
found the SAB dailies tab counting down the full remainder of the day (UTC)
and I believed it.
It’s not completely gone to waste – all progress from last year carried over to this year, including the repeating achievement for the orange weapon boxes. There’s no reason to assume the same won’t happen next year. It might feel bad now, but that reward snatched from your grasp will suddenly be right in the palm of your hand when SAB opens again next year.
They are slowly finishing generation 2. I don’t think that starting a new generation would be any easier or faster just because it’s a new generation.
I think that the second generation won’t be finished before the next expansion launches and that the legendaries they release after the expansion launches will need the new expansion.
That, I think, would be a mistake. There’s a lot of hyperbole over broken promises, but gating any of gen 2 behind a 2nd expansion would actually be one – we were told HoT would include a set of 16 legendary weapons. Releasing half and then asking people to buy another expansion to get the rest would be a bit of a PR disaster. I can see gen 2 continuing to be drip-fed to us beyond the release of the next expansion, but I’d be really surprised if they made the expansion a requirement for them.
I don’t think it’s solely a megaserver problem – I think it’s a combination of megaserver and the way most event maps run on a fixed schedule.
It actually works quite well on the Silverwastes, the only event based map without a fixed schedule. Typically when I go into the map, I’m on one that’s just about to start, giving me the choice to experience the whole thing, or use LFG to join a map that’s made some progress. The LFG is also a little less frantic, because it isn’t going to be the only opportunity to do the event for several hours.
It allowed certain builds to do massive damage – for example it made it possible to solo bandits from the current event bounties by using it for a massive burst. It has the potential to spoil the fun of anyone who wanted to actually do the event properly. Having seen first-hand the toxicity that has occurred in the past when people have had competing agendas over events (like fail-farming in Orr), then it’s worth fixing this.
Fail-farming Orr…. My god…. That was like, 4 years ago? When Orr Karma trains were a thing lol
Not really, you still occasionally get groups doing it with the event to capture Shank Anchorage at the start of the Gates of Arah chain.
“occasionally”…. lol.
Fail farming Orr and Orr Karma trains were constant back then, no mega servers, so once you were done on one server, you guested to another server who broke the event for more farming or training. Trains would start and finish and restart every 5 minutes.
Long time ago…. prob closer to 5 years now, not sure how you can say “not really”to something that used to happen frequently.
I can say not really to 4 years ago because I’ve seen it happen in the past few weeks – yes it is a lot less frequent now, but it isn’t something that exclusively happened back then, it’s occurred pretty much throughout the game’s existence, and still happens now.

Do they not get a prompt to respawn once everyone else is out of combat?
If not, you could try deliberately wiping the party to see if that triggers the prompt.
There has been a (fairly) reliable release date for all new content.
Aug 2012 GW2 released
June 2013 LWS 1 released
June 2014 LWS 2 released
Oct 2015 GW2 HoT released
June 2016 LWS 3 releasedLogically there are one of two outcomes:
1 we get LWS 4 in June 2017 and the new expansion Oct 2018.
OR
They miss LWS 4 and bring out the new expansion Oct this year.Only specualtion based on the facts of release dates.
You’re a distance off with LW season 1. If you count the karka invasion event as part of it, the start was November 2012, otherwise it was January 2013 with Flame & Frost. Which doesn’t leave a particularly strong pattern.
My guess is a release paired with Halloween again. I suspect we may get a reveal of the expansion with episode 5 (based off MO’s comment about it being an important episode). Assuming 6 episodes, 6, if on schedule would be sometime in July (or early August at the latest). Then if they then plan to do betas and elite spec reveals, October would be about the earliest an expansion could be released, and I doubt they’d want to run too close to the end of the year.
As SlippyCheeze said, it has nothing to do with SAB; it’s a bug related to reward tracks.
There are two work-arounds, neither very convenient:
- Keep an eye on the reward track and get ready to manually swap on short notice (perhaps during a PvP match — ugh — or during a pause in WvW action).
- Keep an eye on the reward track and use a potion to top it off when it’s close to completion, so you can manually choose.
Another thing you can do is to invest some potions into a “backup” reward track. For example, say you’re working on Arah and your next goal will be CoE — swap first to CoE, pop 3-4 potions to get the track started, and then swap back to Arah. The game should default to your most-complete track, rather than your most-recently-completed one (or next on the list, which is usually the festival).
tl;dr It’s an annoying “feature” with nothing to do with SAB. There are some ugly work-arounds.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t work with the SAB track – it seems to always get selected regardless of any partially complete tracks, possibly because it’s a limited-time festival track.
While hardly an ideal solution, I find the most effective way to keep an unwanted track from popping up is to complete it once, and leave it in the completed state.
One thing I’ve found useful in preventing this happening, in cases where the account bound thing is an actual item rather than a wardrobe unlock (e.g. the teleport items for Bitterfrost Frontier and Lake Doric) is to make sure I have the item in my inventory before I open any chests. That seems to consitently work, whereas if I leave the item in my bank, sometimes I get a duplicate instead of keys.
How coincidental that super adventure festival takes place at exactly the same time…
It is a bit, considering April 1st is the same time every year, and Easter isn’t.
You could try using gw2efficiency.com with an API key to search your account.
The helm’s level 65 – doesn’t it need to be level 80?
For the F559 and 59F5, you’ll want to look into endianism, i.e. the different ordering of bytes on different platforms. In short, some platforms have the most significant value on the left (the more human-readable way, as it matches how we order decimal numbers), and others have the most significant on the right. What you are seeing is the latter.
Do you need to learn the songs first? Dumb question, but I’m pretty sure that’s a requirement, and sometimes the obvious questions get overlooked!
Yes, you do. Each is learned by finding an NPC in a hidden room and talking to them – you’ll get an message in your chat window saying you’ve learned it. There’s also something in each room to test it out on to make sure you’ve learned it – for example with shatter serenade, there are icy numbers on the wall which you can shatter with the the flute.
Until the flute is in position at your mouth, nothing you play counts.
You can also look for yellow notes coming off your character – I wait until I see the first note appear before I press the key for the second note.
Are you waiting out the timer after killing the boss, and loading into the next zone? The daily and bouncy chest are only awarded then, not when you kill the boss.
Also, some people have reported that they didn’t get the daily if they wandered too far from where they fought the boss before the timer ran out, so it’s best to stay close while you wait.
Not sure if this will work, but it might be possible to see any deactivated crafts on a character using an API key and GW2efficiency.
You can change the stats of ascended weapons or armour in the forge using this recipe:
1. The armour or weapon to change
2. An exotic (not ascended) insignia or inscription of the stats you want to swap to
3. Ectoplasm (5 or 10, can’t quite remember exactly how much)
4. Anthology of heroes – bought from Miyani with spirit shards
So you do this using your ascended rampager’s armour piece and an exotic viper’s insignia and you get an ascended viper’s armour piece.
(edited by Stitch.1794)
The window you have open is the hero panel – you can’t craft anything from there, just browse the recipes you’ve learned. You need to interact with a crafting station to bring up the right window to be able to craft anything.
There’s a cap of 15,000 points total from daily and monthly achievements – you’ve probably reached it.
Can you get still obtain the orange ones in some manner?
Yes, 3 ways:
1) 2 orange ascended weapon – 1 each from completing the green and yellow weapon collections.
2) Repeatable achievement gives a choice of 1 account bound orange skin (or 8 tokens for red skins), earned by completing 3 SAB dailies a day for 8 days
3) Tradeable skins as a rare drop from end-of-level chests
Orange weapons from achievements are account bound, but you can also get tradeable skins (blue or orange) as a rare drop from the chest at the end of every level
You can get 1 token per day for finishing the Course Work achievement (complete 3 SAB dailies), and 8 tokens once every 8 days for completing Course Load (complete Course Work 8 times). So you should be able to get 37 tokens this year (or 45 if you have a few days’ progress on Course Load carried over from last year) – enough to get 3 skins as long as they’re not all two-handed weapons.
Your signet on skill 7 is to blame. The other necro must have used a skill that inflicted conditions on himself, and then your signet transferred them to you.
Ctrl + right click will remove auto-cast from it.
Have you trained the herald elite spec to unlock the Glint’s Bastion collection? If not, that may be why you can’t buy it yet.
The reward tracks are still there, don’t worry.
Have you managed to record it? I’m intrigued to hear it and find out where it’s coming from.
:O yes a fractal about the actual guild wars would be awesome from a lore perspective!
In which case, the battle of Khylo might be a good fit, as there is some lore to it beyond just being a PvP map – IIRC the father of one of the GW1 characters (Devona?) was present at the battle.
Yeah, good idea – I thought the same as you until I played that match.
You don’t need to win 30 matches, because you can capture it multiple times per match. I’ve played one sky hammer match since those achievements appeared, went to Skyhammer 3 times, and advanced the achievement by 3 when we won the match.
I assume that destroying the treb in Khylo has a lower total because Skyhammer appears multiple time per match no matter what, but the treb will only be there once unless the enemy team bothers to repair it.
If it feels like a 5k ping, that might be exactly what it is – a number of people have been experiencing occasional lag over the last few weeks on the European servers (don’t know if NA has had the the same). I’ve had my ping shoot up into four figures for a minute or two a couple of times, and seen people describing similar in map chat on several occasions.
I think it was in one of the last couple of Reddit AMAs.
Could it be a player consuming multiple tomes in quick succession?
Ha! I can’t for the life of me figure out the ‘starting place’ for the gliding path. I can only use the pillars. (I do make it easy on myself and use the Rifle, just to completely avoid any frustration.)
I got it first time – and then I’ve never managed it again since. Ditto the alternative pillar route that skips the last pillar. I’m back to the normal pillar route, as it seems the most reliable.
Your health pool will fluctuate across the week due your world’s progress in WvW. There are a number of bonuses that get earned during the week in WvW (including an increase to health), and apply in PvE to every player from that world, whether they’ve set foot in WvW or not.
Your health will be at its lowest when WvW resets on a friday evening – this is your natural amount of health.
Your health will be at its highest just prior to the WvW reset on Friday, when your world has the most bonuses – for example, my world currently has a 10% increase to health which will disappear shortly with the reset.
Some weeks, your world will do better, and the bonuses will be higher, other weeks, it’ll do worse and the bonuses will be lower.

There is a path in the wall near Harvest Cascades that goes into the area with the peach tree. You have to jump your way up and glide to ledges to reach the top. The last ledge is to jump glide requires some form of a speed/movement buff to make.
Before I was aware of this option I used to work my way up to the northwest corner of centaur camp and climb up on the wall to reach the upper ledge, from there you can go to the top and glide in to the peach tree. It’s not the jumping that’s difficult here it’s the mass of centaurs that you have to beat down or run through to get to place in the centaur camp.
So from what I understand, if you don’t already run a speed/movement buff, you need it to reach the Tree just to complete the same daily each day, to avoid the hard way through the centaur camp. I just thought it was a strange form of gating the daily. It just feels weird that you have to buff your character (which normally when you need this they give the buff by way of an NPC, quest, gathering, or the like) for a daily like in Bitterfrost.
I don’t run a speed buff, and I’ve been managing to get there via the route you describe. The jump onto the last column is pretty tricky, and you need to get it lined up perfectly to make it (aim to the left of it), but it is defintely possible without a speed buff.
You’re using the wrong slot – elite specs, such as herald, can only be used in the bottom slot.
The tier 3 collection doesn’t unlock until you’ve crafted the tier 2 precursor – just completing the tier 2 collection doesn’t unlock tier 3. Until you’ve done that, Hobbs won’t sell you the tier 3 book.
