Did the first 100 scrolls max out all the core map hero challenges? I would hope it wouldn’t let you consume any more scrolls if you have, but it could explain why they stopped giving you any more points.
The recipes aren’t account bound, so will only be available on the character you originally used them with. You can buy another copy of the recipe from Grandmaster Craftsman Hobbs in Lions Arch if you want to use them with a different character.
Ravenswood Branch, unless they changed it very recently, does NOT require 500 artificer to make, just 400 or 450 not sure. Wait till Nevermore II to go for grandmaster. You have to make 250 basic elder wood staves and since they count as exotic they can shoot a character from 400 to 500 very very easily.
I was in the exact same situation as you and had to buy the recipes from the npc at LA for my Artificer. Then because I’m sadistic I decided I wanted my norn to be the one to make Nevermore and the other precursors and got them both to 500 easy with the elder wood staves (1-400 was expensive though).
The legendary components only require 450, but most tier 2 collections require 500 because you have to make weapon components from each tier, and the deldrimor / spirit wood ones require 500.
You can buy a duplicate chest from the NPC linked above to learn the recipe on your artificer.
Gaining a rank now includes a level-up tome as part of its rewards, so you can still level up via WvW, just indirectly.
Your gif shows the points after consumption, but not what you had before.
When you gain a Hero point there is an animation on the Hero panel and then there is a red sign on it sayng you have new hero points to spend. Anyway, here is a more precise gyf showing the problem https://gfycat.com/SplendidGrouchyGrackle
The red icon only shows up if you have enough points to unlock the next skill / trait. If you’re short or have everything unlocked, there’s no change.
It’s a fairly common phrase in the UK, saying someone has another think coming is another way of saying they’ll need to think again.
Sadly, one was recently removed from the Cliffside fractal – the veteran novices.
Still, it’s worth double checking your story journal, because already having it unlocked is the only reason the bundle should exclude it.
Individual chapters unlocked for free if you logged in within a few weeks of their release, so you may already have it unlocked.
Do items automatically stack in Invisible Bags? I’m not sure, as I’ve never put something stackable in an Invisible Bag.
Yes, they do.
Your slot’s still there as far as I can see – there’s an empty defensive infusion slot. A +5 bought in dessa’s lab should work with that.
You’ve probably hit the cap – it’s 15k combined for points earned from dailies and monthlies.
I think you’ve just been lucky with the others. Each of them took me a lot of caches to find, so I don’t think they’re that common a drop.
It’s showing up for me – sixth tab, near the bottom of the list.
They’re still there, and will reappear when your guild next goes up a level.
Here’s a link to a dev response in another thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Items-lost-in-treasury-by-level-fix/6110898
Reporting in game won’t get you a response. If you want a response, you need to raise a ticket with customer support (link at the top of the page).
Personal story rewards 1 point only per chapter, for a total of 8 points.
Chapters 1, 2, & 3, where there are separate achievements for each race, you’ll only get the mastery point for the first race you complete the chapter with. Same goes with chapter 4, and the three orders.
If you have HoT, elite spec weapons are ascended, and relatively cheap to make, just time consuming.
Has your husband tried logging in again since to see if he still has the problem?
If it’s working OK now, a possible explanation is he may have inadvertently typed something into the search field, so that it was filtering out all the recipes? The filter persists until you exit the client, even if you switch characters, so it would explain why the same effect was seen in different maps and different characters.
I don’t know for certain if this affects it, but have you got the oiled war horn in an invisible bag?
Yeah, I’m going to miss that oxymoron, too, but on the plus side, they won’t be spamming me with the point emote any more.
You say your daily points aren’t capped yet, but are you also considering your monthly points? The cap is for the two combined.
It’s worked like this from launch, so I don’t know that it’s a bug, but yeah, it would definitely be preferable for it to default skill 1 as an auto-attack.
Are you factoring in the 5% listing fee? 5% (14G in this case) is taken directly from your wallet when you list, in addition to the 10% deducted from the amount you receive from the sale, even if you sell instantly.
You won’t be able to open it. All you can do is delete it and wait for another character to reach their birthday.
Each character will receive a birthday gift on their birthday (creation date of the character, not account), so you’ll be able to get it again.
Ok, fair point, but it’s a far lesser evil than killing Phlunt for either of the reasons.
Putting an evil being down to prevent him from victimizing children may or may not be evil. I suppose it depends on how inclined you are to see protecting children as a good thing.
It’s not that I’m against protecting children from him, just that killing him is overkill for what he’s done (in this instance), and there were bigger concerns in play at the time. There are other ways to deal with him, and hopefully we’ll get the chance to do so at some point in the future.
Season 2 was released during 2014 and early 2015, so isn’t part of the core game you bought. Anyone who logged in during the first couple of weeks after an episode was released got it for free, everyone else has to pay 200 gems per episode. The price only applies to the storyline – the new maps added during season 2, Dry Top and Silverwastes, are available to all players for free.
When season 3 kicks off later this year, I’d expect it to use a similar model – make sure you log in during the first two weeks of each chapter if you want it for free.
Ok, fair point, but it’s a far lesser evil than killing Phlunt for either of the reasons.
Yes, he’s greedy and selfish, but that does it make him inherently evil. Killing him because he’s greedy and wants to claim ownership of Taimi’s work, however, is evil, as is killing him just to send a message to the Arcane Council.
While I agree that giving in to Phlunt feels like a bad choice, it also felt to me like a necessary evil. The problem here is he has something the PC needs (bringing the asuras to the table) and time is of the essence. If there wasn’t a need to bring everyone together quickly, sure, tell him no and call his bluff, but Mordremoth at this point is expanding his reach at an alarming rate and there is no time to waste on politics.
I asked on his twitter if he was talking about the portal across from the divinity reach portal next to sab. It doesn’t have a purple circle icon on the map and the portal itself has a red o on it like it’s prohibited. Not sure if the portal was there before or not. Seems odd they would shut it down though if it led somewhere originally.
If you mean the left-most of the two asura gates, it’s always been there, and can be used during some of the asura personal stories.
Considering the blog post on the 31st described the orange weapons as ‘continuing down the spectrum’ I’d assumed the weapons were following the colours of the rainbow (although they’re in reverse order, and start part way through). That would leave red, indigo, and violet still to go.
You can do the jump near the end of zone 1 without dodge jumping or using a barrel (although there is one right by the checkpoint), it’s all in the timing. Jump really late, so late that you think you’ve run off the edge and you see yourself start to drop slightly.
It’s not an armour skin for you, but the the Tybalt mist champion (used in the Stronghold PvP map).
Don’t most of the crafting vendors have a tab selling those items?
Have you completed the first chapter of personal story with a different character, even if it was a different storyline? You’ll only the mastery point for your first character, regardless of whether charactera are a different race and complete different achievements. I’ve listed all the first chapter achievement below, and you’ll only get one mastery point total across the five achievements. Same goes for chapters 2 & 3, and also with the three orders for chapter 4.
Crime and Punishment (human)
For the Legion! (charr)
Waking from the Nightmare (sylvari)
Rising to the Challenge (norn)
Graduation Day (asura)
Wait so we still lose PIPs if someone DCs indefinitely? Well that’s just not fair.
I think you’ve misunderstood my post.
If a player on your team DCs briefly and returns, and you lose, you’ll still lose a pip.
If a player on your team but not in your party DCs for longer than the grace period (or never returns at all), and you lose, you shouldn’t lose a pip.
If a player on your team and also in your party DCs for longer than the grace period (or never returns at all), and you lose, you will still lose a pip.
It’s not as simple as one player DCs and everyone else immediately doesn’t lose a pip. It depends how long they DC for, and if they return. There’s a grace period of something like 1 minute (not sure exactly) before it counts as a desertion.
You’ll also still lose a pip if you’re in a party with the player that DCs, even if they are gone long enough to count as a desertion.
It’s not just about stress and balance, it also makes sense.
For example, if you’re visible when an arrow is fired at you, and stealthed when the arrow reaches you, the arrow is not going to pass harmlessly through you just because the person who fired it can no longer see you.
You’re capped at 250 initially, there are two upgrades you can buy (a purse and a tote bag) that will increase the cap to 500 and 750 respectively.
There are 2 more achievements available for world 2 than are needed to complete the meta achievement and unlock the title, so just because you have the title doesn’t mean you must have previously completed everything. Considering you did this a few years ago, could you have only done enough to get the title last time around, and in the mean time forgotten that you didn’t complete the last few achievements?
Yes that’s working as intended – overall you need to cross 10 division thresholds over the 4 seasons, but you can split those 10 between the seasons however you want. Progress doesn’t reset between seasons, despite it being implied by the achievement text.
It’s supposed to be like that – your personal reward level goes up by one each time you complete a fractal at or above your level, or you get karma instead if the fractal is below your level.
So in your example above, when you did 62-64, your personal reward level will have gone from 58 to 62. When you went back and did 59-61, as they’re below your level, there will have been no change, and you’d have got karma instead.
Those aren’t weapons, they are items for the machined weapons collections. You unlock the collection for a weapon by buying the equivalent plated weapon from a merchant at the end of the Mouth of Mordremoth event in Dragon’s Stand.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Machined_weapons#Acquisition
Yeah, there’s no way I’m aware of to see how many points you currently have, so unless you happen to know how the system works, I can see how the item description can be confusing. But as 200 points is equivalent to gold on 2 events, you’re never far from the next reward anyway, so it’s not a huge problem.
You get the next map reward every 200 point, so this should just instantly give you the next item in the queue (if you’re not already maxed out on that map).
The 9 profession achievements don’t count directly to the Year of Ascension – they count towards League Professional instead. If you click on the Year of Ascension achievement, it shows you exactly which 11 you need.
we could always start skinning the quaggan, would give us some really soft leather
You can do better than quaggan – we already know from GW1 that charr hide makes pretty decent armour.
