boon corruption for this instability is useless, because it has no ICD on applying boons when being hit. so i just run usual dps setup. cant be bothered with removing boons when they reappear in 2 seconds.

I must add, Braham is with us since 2013 and I didn’t see him even ONCE transform into bear/etc. I don’t feel a norn from him at all, only a dumb ogre with mace. It’s terrifying how Anet implemented norns in gw2. As a gw1 player I’m very disappointed.

Yes, the reality rift stuff was extremely stupid and something I didn’t expect from tyria lore. The whole fight with his mind was cheesy and cringy. And we didn’t get to see his full body and kill his full body like with zhaitan.
I’m gonna be completely honest now, and I didn’t think I’d ever say this, but killing Zhaitan was more fun, immersive and spectacular than killing Mordremoth. With Zhaitan I actually felt like winning, killing the dragon (although by stupid asura laser gun, which is another joke). I could see with my own eyes when Zhaitan’s whole body fell down dead.

yeah i use blood magic most of the time. not only reduces it my wells cd (= more dps) but also siphons and gives prot (= more dps, sustain)
also it makes minion siphon (= more dps + sustain)
also in solo, minions get vamp aura (=more dps)
also you get vamp aura and the minor personal lifesteal (=more dps, sustain)
sustain = scholar bonus = more dps
in general i think BM is superior to 5% modifier from SR, especially in group
and for RS auto, i don’t really enjoy it, feels underpowered. my usual rotation is focus 4>wells>gs skills for burst, rs 5, stay in rs and do sth or go back to gs, auto a little until u can weapon swap, auto with dagger until 50% hp, then spam gravedigger. (no swapping back to dagger if fight is short). overall i dont see gs auto much worse (although it is), so if im stuck in gs for some reason, i dont feel bad when autoattacking – sometimes its not worth swapping to dagger when boss is going to be 50% soon

Hi, when using the skill off a cliff etc, it makes you stop mid air and fall down, it looks and feels extremely clunky and unimmersive. Please change it so it feels smooth. It’s also bad for mobility in pvp, pve, everywhere when you want to leap or make a big jump between 2 distances mid air

Tbh, this is a paid expansion. The story shouldn’t be the size of half a LS season. I expected lots of waypointing around the world, to queen, to pale tree, even to arah and durmand priory. I anticipated more nightmare court vs. mordremoth, even an alliance with Dreamers and NC. This story is so straightforward, flat, short and predictable.
I also hoped to see a living forgotten in Tarir or somewhere else. It isn’t even explained why the Forgotted have left the world.
Well imo it should change a little bit for the people who completed HoT story. Maybe not in graphical sense, but NPC talks, especially Pale Tree etc
Slightly off topic, I hope we get to repair Caladbolg and use it as GS skin :P
Now I wonder if the Dream is in fact Mordremoth’s mind all along and Pale Tree just takes care of a chunk of it, where she creates sylvari. Thats why it’s so important to her to protect it and that’s why we fought Shadow of the Dragon in tutorial. I wonder what happens with the Dream now that mordremoth has been killed

So I completed chapter 16 today and I felt like I just did first part of the HoT story (finding DE). Now I’m like what? This is it? Not even an epilogue?
Why so many unanswered questions? Who is E, what about Gleam, what about talking with Pale Tree after all this? It’s rather sad, it felt like ~4 living story episodes and it’s an expansion we’ve waited 9 months for. What we got is some filler chapters – looking at you chapter 15 (running around finding rocks, wtf?).
I also don’t like how Caithe just tells us “oh right sry my wyld hunt was str0nk so i was acting like that kkthxbai”. I anticipated more complex dialogues, questions, answers, motives. Also, killing Eir and Faolain was a bad decision imo – they are both strong characters and deserved more depth. Also Trahearne dying was heartbreaking for me
I would’ve much more prefer Logan die, and Rox.
About mordy himself, I am disappointed. I don’t like the whole idea of him being a jungle. I prefer when main boss has a visible body. I waited so long to actually see whole mordremoth, and the only thing we see is the world boss serpent mouth and the mind of mordremoth aka mordrem troll buffed up. Overall the dragon is cheesy.
Btw. I wanted to see some sylvari losing their minds LIVE and turning against me behind my back. gg lost opportunity
Edit: okay the negativity of this post is real. I wanted to say I really love you, ANet, and there are lots of things I adore in the story, especially the egg vision, it was so disturbing, creepy and psychedelic!!! And my favourite part of HoT is looking at Rata Sum from Dragon’s Stand.

Hi. I really dislike how story missions are gated behind masteries, especially that poison tier 4 mastery. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could level it up fast like in central tyria.
Also, maps are just 1 big maze. I hope you stop making such maps for next expansions.

I don’t know why ANet stopped working on underwater combat. I love it, it’s the best underwater combat in any MMO ever. To see no new underwater legendaries makes me kinda sad.

Although my vid shows 40 lvl, It works great for lvl 50 too – but don’t use consume conditions, use the strongest heal you can, like well of blood or even sylvari healing seed, human prayer to dwayna. If you use healing during agony, you die.
I don’t like the concept at all, especially longbow or crossbow. It doesn’t seem fun to play. I’d rather play torch or sword and have sacrifices or undeath
good to know. i thought it carries over because you still die from falling dmg, but now it seems like UH doesn’t work when you die from falling

That would make sense as he enters it pretty much instantly. So is Plague even needed then?
This leaves two possibilities:
1) Damage doesn’t carry over to DS when US triggers.
2) Damage gets halved by DS when US triggers. He had 18k health, took 20k damage, 2k carried over to DS. He had gathered extra 2k DS during Plague with something.

2) yes, DS halves direct dmg taken
he could gather bonus LF by recent party members deaths or the recent ds pool could be increased due to vitality increase from plague and then immediately decrease due to plague ending. idk. it looks messy as it all happens in split second ;D

Necro can survive the last laser without any special traits or transforms. You facetank it with 100% ds and hp and then you get downed, not defeated. Sure you can do it like Brazil did in this vid, but it’s bothersome. you can also try protection

If Anet implemented this, they would literally be telling Necros to go kill themselves. That’s quite fitting, actually. Rangers should get this skill too.

Make sure your group also holds crystals when doing the trick by the ledge or the jade maw can wipe you with its revenge beam at 1% and reset the fight.
if necro has 100% ds and hp, he can facetank it xd
your party can still damage the jade maw with vampiric aura, using only projectiles/range attacks. its slower though than through combo (yet faster than the intended way)
i also dislike the gating behind party members
chronomancer, warrior or berserker (idk the meta build), druid, dps class fillers
