Why do they even still create unskippable cutscenes is beyond my ability to comprehend. I mean it’s ok for story but these are raids/fractals – repetitive content.
its useless for both builds. for power, dumplings are better and for condi it’s trash because you lose 20% condition damage, most important stat
It seems I have my progress back, can we have an official statement if this was just fixed?
I had 30/50 HoM and I lost everything as well (and I got some mail telling me i lost GWAMM title but I never had it in the first place). This happened just a moment ago
i mostly ignore pugs if they go down and leave them to rot. last time my pugs gg’d at 40% ensolyss because 2 were killed and i had to solo the orb phase … but i kinda like carrying people, it brings the feeling of empowerment. that being said, i only try to ress if i see a valuable player getting downed or if ressing is a dps gain (especially chrono). if it’s an obvious scrub – no point wasting dps.

I’ve had similar thoughts about that. We shouldn’t lose class mechanic to get another. Did warriors lose their original f1 skills? nope. funnily both elite specs were developed by the same developer
if lfg asks for title and you dont have one – dont join. it’s important to respect other people’s LFG, no matter how stupid asking for unclean is. it’s about decency
he swapped it by mistake, just reinstall the ToS compliant version and you’re good

qT has 33.8 listed, and I just know that if I rounded up to 34, someone would have left a comment saying, “wrong it’s 33k.”
Not to devalue qT’s work but you’re not being factual and thorough if you treat their benchmarks as if they’re the only ones around
it’s not a glitch, wtf. it’s postprocessing, hallucination effect that’s apparent in tower of nightmares content and HoT mushroom spores

Not true, it adds a different element of challenge. Additional mechanics are a great thing. Strictly doing damage to bosses is not fun.
I was hoping they would add more of it to the Fractal too. Maybe during the final fight.
Of course layers of challenge are good and desirable but not the hammer, it’s annoying. I would like to see a different mechanic with the Special Action Key to make up for the hammer. Challenging and fun is the way to go.
Scrap the hot potato mechanic since it’s not fun.

this rotation is better, the qT one ignores the fact Chilling Darkness had ICD which wastes a little dps. ideally you dont want to overlap blinds and should wait 3 secs between each, unless the boss is about to die – then it’s all about bursting with BiP immediately
reaper gets 100%+ crit so direct dmg is more significant there as well
i wasn’t talking about combat only. im talking about everything. skipping, without stealth, with stealth, pre-blasting, porting, soloing, duoing, consumables usage, control (i.e. immobilizing shoggroth or coordinating deep freeze), actually the whole defiance system was great in dungeons, it only didnt work in open world.
all of this makes for an active gameplay which is now lost and player skill level is now a joke because you only need to gear up and remember rotation instead of all these gimmicks
I agree that we need a spec that gives us blocks, evades, invulns, charges, leaps and teleports.
1. dps increase
2. cd reduction
3. aoe field – requires choke points, or strategic placement
4. isn’t a useless transform with no damage and just stability pulse
5. can precast and pull your foe for the last few strongest ticks
no they can’t. that’s why i like mai trin. i can just solo her if people around me are clueless
i wish the game could be again about dodging and active gameplay instead of just dps rotations on bland bosses…

I can understand that all 3 can possibly soloed (can uw be solloed?) But mechanics that dont require more than 1 person wut? If so i can go afk on the corner while that 1 person removes the shoeld stacks from Mai trin.
yes all fractals i wrote can be soloed, and many others.
i dont look at it the way you do. i prefer if fractal doesn’t enforce few-player mechanics on me because then i dont have to rely on other people to complete the content.
this is the most annoying thing in gw2 to me when i can’t complete content because of bad players blocking my progress.
plaguelands is an amazing improvement, thats all there is to it.

If you’re pedantic maybe try to do your math yourself. You gain ~70dps if you use 4 stacks of blood bond, so what you just wrote (5×70 – thats not how calculating dps works LOL) just ridiculed you.
Moreover, in first paragraph you speak about testing for open world, but in third paragraph you magically change your mind and it’s now a solo benchmark, so you’re quite inconsistent for a pedant.
Vampiric presence doesn’t ruin anything, since it’s present in all of the setups as it’s the meta trait. (for solo and open world both, if you magically change your sides again)
Apart from that, I have nowhere stated what my numbers are meant for. These are just clean, precise results of autoattacking with meta traits and gear and realistic buffs. You are just being petty because you don’t like that GS wins (yeah, even without blood bond)
I have done no updrafts gors with 2 necros on the team, without a problem.
i did entire w4 CM with 2 necros (myself included) on team so thats hardly an accomplishment. golem dps difference doesn’t matter unless you’re going for record. skill matters and then you’re gonna have very close kill times as long as all buffs are in place
Plaguelands reconfirms that Arenanet make the game for PvE ONLY which angers all competitive players no end.

bug about samarog that i wanted to voice: when he is in cc phase, fear doesn’t work on him…
you can make 2h raid clears if you’re good and with a good team. you need to know what utilities to use on different bosses and know your rotation 100% (i recommend Farbstoff’s yt channel for necro rotations, qt one is kinda suboptimal since it ignores Chilling Darkness ICD)
also epi stray mobs around boss to increase DPS whenever applicable. this may get you on top1 in dps meters if done correctly – specifically when mobs are pulled by mesmers and they get 25 condis immediately. you also need to know how combo fields work to increase your chilling whirl finisher uptime.
for KC you need a power build of course. you will deal about 58-60k dps so like 4-6k less than power engi but still can do 4 orbs kill with some eles
that being said, people are very narrow minded and probably wont believe in you as a necro. especially with these trash necros in fractals who still run 4 necro 1 druid comps and use parasitic contagion, rise and other garbage. it’s all about finding a premade that will accept you

What Dadnir said. It is only in effect when the scepter is wielded. DS or RS is basically a different weapon set.
while RS does make you wield ascended hammer, DS takes traits and weapon strength from currently equipped weapon, even though DS “weapon” is a staff. this is something RS had fixed but DS was never revisited. which means lingering curse will work in DS if you enter it with scepter, but it won’t work in RS.

a) dont swap to parasitic contagion in raids if you consider yourself a decent person
b) dont swap out blood is power, this is your most important utility
c) dont use signet of spite, if you dislike minions for whatever reason, use suffer and corrosive poison field
d) dont use signet of vampirism, it’s a heal with casting time therefore it’s dps loss
e) dont ignore the fractal build on qt site, it’s been updated
f) dont use “rise!”
g) condi isn’t the only viable build, you should play power for KC and TC

One problem with this. All conditions gives the target vuln. Which this shows the damage both in an optimal setting, this does not show the difference between axe and dagger on targets with no vuln or conditions…..
In addition to the around 1.6k damage you get from Mark of blood when it procs. This also would drop dagger damage.
you always have vuln on world bosses, dungeon bosses, fractal bosses and raid bosses, champ trains etc. if you need to cast some vuln for a trash mob you have focus and well of suffering for that, can even trait rending shroud for that. also gs3 when reaper.
dont see why you have problem with blood bond (which you have mistaken for mark of blood). – in group you are not going to benefit from it since everyone will immediately use up one stack and poof. in solo it will add about 70 dps so pretty irrelevant.
it would have to increase gravedigger dmg by 100% or so. hard to top decimate defenses
it’s not too dull. i mean the fractals in general are easy and dull, but if we look at bloomhungers army phase, pre siax events or aetherblade cannon phase, ensolyss definitely isn’t dull.
these are just autoattacks. power reaper dps is around 23.5k. still worse than power rev or hammer guard
if you want the burst, its better to have axe/wh and dagger/focus. however, if the mob isn’t going to die withing the burst, its better to camp dagger (champions etc)
@Vitali – no. If you are core necro, you don’t have access to reaper shroud. If you are reaper you should camp GS or go viper. Viper does 10000 more dps.

axe is trash. if you’re a core necro you’re supposed to run dagger/focus + warhorn in offhand.
