the entire condi competitiveness hangs by the thread of this trait. remove it and we’re back to ~26k dps with dull rotation. this is about where power is (around 28k). to be a decent dps on power, we would need about 34k dps. a way to do it is for ANet to finally give us % modifier traits and increase RS autoattack dps to be a little better than GS auto (traited). Dagger should also be buffed to make up for only hitting 2 targets. Focus needs a rework as well. it shouldn’t give regen, it should give might and fury and have a better emphasis as hard hitting (make the scythe do a lot of damage).
another way to fix power is to rework lifesteal damage – let it crit, make it still ignore armor, scale with power better etc.
you can spawn wells, nightfall, locust swarm, gravedigger and you have a burst

if you expect to solo just refine it a little more for self-might generation (strength sigil, artistocracy runes, chilling victory, “you’re all weaklings” etc)

Why does this item last only 5 min? I love it and did the whole collection (400g+) just to get it. I would rather have it last 1 hour and be able to remove the effect by double clicking again. I hope a developer notices this and adds a quick fix.
yes but how about comparing feel the burn to sharing ice bow with necro on small hitbox (since ele will lose a lot of hits while necro still makes 50+ bleeds)?
as for Sabetha, I think bouncing with the other necro in this encounter is kinda wasteful. This is a good encounter for solo epis (same with sloth, gorse and xera). Bouncing makes 1 necro waste epi on adds. Sometimes its imperative but I think it’s always better to snipe recently pulled adds on your own. Epi has a cap of 25 conditions so just a second of crangers bombardment and you have 25 bleeds and burns to transfer. Maybe some you can bounce if mob is far away and you/mes wont pull, but it’s better to use main zerg as a source of condis, not bouncing.

i disagree, i love current necro build. blood magic is pathetic because it revolves around downed state, which is something nobody should be doing in the first place.
did you test small hitbox whether its better to use feel the burn or share ib?

Mark of Horror is a minion and mark skill type. If ANet were to remove Lich Form, I’d rather them replace it with an elite well that spawns 5 horrors and does some other effects to compensate for losing 4 skills from Lich Form.

Vizier used an ancient scroll which is speculated to be an old jotun artifact (pretty much all the “ancient scrolls” in Tyria are related to times when Jotun had a lot of magic and were advanced – Aesgir Dragonrender, Braham in LS3), but it’s still speculation. That being said, yes I think it would be interesting to have reversed Urban fractal where we fight the charr and see the explosion in the distance, nearing towards us.

I didn’t give any suggestions for Lich Form, because I didn’t list it as the worst performing elite skill.
Well I disagreed with the tomes nerf when it happened and I still am, I would just make them work differently – something like death shroud – you could equip the tome once per 10 seconds but keep the skills within on long cooldowns so you don’t butcher the elite and keep balance reasonable. Right now guardians have just 2 forgettable skills. I don’t like when people remove content instead of fixing it
I was answering your post about wvw players etc – we have the effect LOD option so reducing base skill visuals is bad if you can only reduce them for people with the option turned on, or at least let the player keep a good visual and have other players use the reduced one.
As for Lich/Plague, you can make them useful without butchering the transform. That’s what I was suggesting so everyone would be happy. You suggest removing transform altogether and that will not make everyone happy.

I would say most of the playerbase actually cares the most about visual of the skills rather than function not to mention this is a main selling point of every mmorpg and in the game industry altogether, I’ve had friends disappointed about skill animation reduction, even to the point of not caring about the game anymore and leaving. I’ve been a necro main since beta tests even when greatsword wasn’t a thing and dagger hit only 1 target at once or when minions wouldn’t attack and I’m a hardcore pve player to this day. I wouldn’t be playing it if it wasn’t for the dark theme and animations.
This was a staging ground for a guild that is no longer in motion and haven’t been for some time. There is nobody to run it and nobody to help others with dungeons, because all mentors either left the guild or went offline for months. This thread was sticked here for over a year (and years before – the 2 older threads). Sadly, dungeons are abandoned by the community and most veterans no longer play them/the game so I couldn’t recruit more mentors and so their number deteriorated to the point where a newbie wouldn’t find help here, which means the whole purpose of the guild faded away – I figured so should the sticky
Mastery levels should be locked behind raids etc but the spirit shard track should be active when not training any mastery.
well that is pretty selfish to say, what about other people who wont get to have the initial charm and people who didn’t lose it? i gave ideas to make these skills meaningful without turning them into another forgettable key you push
Hey I oficially declare the guild dead and over. It has come to a point people wouldn’t find help because mentors no longer play the game. It has served it’s purpose but nothing lasts, thanks for time spent!
i just joined a raiding guild with 400+ players of all levels of experience and thats just 1 guild. i never heard of any open world guilds except stuff like TxS or you have the world boss train in lfg and thats about it, some casuals will wander around the maps, some will do the story do some dragon’s stand and such (and it’s fine) but the dedicated playerbase is focused on raiding, fotm and pvp. open world is primarily for new players or people without a goal, people who farm silverwastes because they cant play more difficult content etc.
i want to be able to transform because it’s something cool, i care about visual stimulation
no actually a lot of players raid, its one of the most populated areas of gw2. i would say very few people do dungeons but raids are like the main thing now
for PvE
Weapons – staff 1 (add condition), axe 3 (add blast finisher)
Reaper Shroud – autoattack (needs better direct damage or needs reduced base cast time)
Utility – spectral wall (needs to reflect projectiles, last longer, low cd),
spectral armor (needs to work like endure pain)
Heal – signet of vampirism (should heal per hit like the thief’s heal signet),
your soul is mine (should grant/steal some boons, heal almost full portion solo and add like 300-500hp per mob hit)
Elite – plague (make the 3 different plagues be active at all times + add 5 skills to the plague, let the player only use one that will form the plague into another level, like adding a stealth for the duration that wont disappear unless revealed. other skills could be whirling for the duration, pulsing buffs, pulsing hard cc etc)
second bad elite is the sylvari Summon Druid Spirit – come on, worst trash in history, has tooltip under hp bar “cleans conditions heals allies” and does nothing of the sort, only autoattacks with immobilize.

lol good point but pairing necro with engi isn’t optimal if you can pair engi with ranger
many people argue “but ele will lose his dps” which is an obvious sign of not knowing how ice bow works. it’s an external source of damage, not internal. it’s a tool that changes the dmg outcome depending on traits of bearer. if necro holds the ice bow and ele continues his rotation without it, the ice bow deals more damage and therefore was used to 100% capacity. if ele used the ice bow, it wouldn’t expell this much damage and the ice bow’s potential wouldn’t be executed fully. this is the exact same thing that was happening in the dungeon meta in 2013-2014 when thieves and mesmers were supposed to pick up lighting hammers and ice bows to increase the party dps output. i hope this post explains more how it works
it’s better to have 1 engi and 1 condi ranger instead of eles/necros if you want optimal dps (except some ele friendly bosses ofc). as for 2x ele or 1xele 1x necro – not sure but seems pretty competitive, ele brings 1k dps for the lighting strike from air overload, while necro will increase few k of dps with ice bow and another few k with solid epi (and is less likely to go down)
btw. condis are easily spread to mobs like on xera, gorse, sabetha.
point still stands lol, condi war has almost same dps as necro on golem, while necro in real raid scenario has more dps with epidemic/condi transfer.
Btw. if ele takes feel the burn it’s a partywide dps loss, because ice bow used by necro equals much more damage than sole feel the burn will ever do
if condi warrior bested you you must’ve played really bad or had some strange buff disposition

please bring gw1 reconnect system to gw2. when i dc alone in an instance allow me to reconnect before closing the instance.
anyone can be tank but mes will still have same role as quickness bot so giving tank role to someone else is a waste of 1 squad member
im speaking about single necro. well its true, samarog doesn’t really move if the tank is doing a good job.
the main problem with death shroud is you cant use Greatsword when death shroud is slotted.
(+ #2 should be aoe teleport, some cd reductions etc)

on mursaat you can epi 2-3 times. first from the statue that comes into your zerg before it dies, then from one of 3 soldiers and then again from the statue near zerg before it dies.
on deimos you have saul and prides to epi from, kitten dmg.
sabetha is awesome too, lots of adds.
sloth is okayish but wont beat a good ele, big hitbox.
KC you wont beat ele ever.
matthias you will beat ele and if you dont die you can beat condi mes with a good roll.
xera has tons of adds, you can beat ele.
vg and gorse you probably wont beat ele, first has no toughness and second has big hitbox.
cairn depends if some of you get red aoe but i’d say you can beat ele
samarog you can compete because it moves but its a big hitbox so im not sure.
this list obviously assumes perfect rotation with epis whenever applicable. if you take ice bow you will beat almost all bosses but that only proves ele is still great because it contributes to team dps a lot.
(that being said i know condi ranger stacking is better, people pls shut up already)
