I was sad the clothing was just.. town clothing.. really?

Too many swords already.. seriously only 2 classes can use maces and almost EVERYONE can use the GS. It’s lame.

I’d be happy if the outfit could be applied to armor -.-

I don’t mind if people enjoy ADD style play but it should not be the only option to play successfully.

I really like the executioners set.. want it for my necro since not much armor besides a few choice sets screams death and stuff.

I really like the town clothing sets.. but is there a chance we will get some armor set versions of these? It seems like such a waste of really cool looking clothing to just be used in town.

I bought this game to relax and have fun, I don’t have a very high Ele but it seems no matter where I turn to in game or the forums one of three things is said;

1. In order to DPS with ele you must play ADD style, constantly clicking until your arm ends up in a cast.

2. Ele sucks at everything.

3. Your job is to be a buff bot for Warriors and the Thief professions.

So right now I’m a bit discouraged with this game, the promises of playing how you want and having fun seem to not apply once you actually start to play the game. Is it terrible for elemental players late game? Do I have to be a buff slave to these two professions? (I swear every fantasy MMO revolves around warriors and rogue classes.)

I pretty much like playing with my lightning spec, zapping stuff is fun. So any help or verification to this will help me if I’ll play this game or just play something else. My days of buff botting for warriors/rogues were done once I quit raiding on WoW.

Pets in this game confuse me, making pet families have different skills etc never works. It didn’t work in WoW. People did the samething, just choose the higher DPS pets because either tank pets DPS is to low, another can sorta DPS but is useless otherwise and the utility pets never work. I’m unsure why Anet followed this same plan. Best thing you can do is allow people to pick their pet, pick what skills for their pet to use.

My question for melee ranger what do you build to not just get squished so easy?

I like the game and I’m pretty new but it’s overly pet reliant at times and hard to pull it back. Someone mentioned some of the skills to retreat etc, I click those but at times the pet will not stop attacking or just freezes. I like ranger but it has no real direction and no hammers!

What is changing about it?

So what stats should I use power and condition?

Dagger is a power build right?

If you’re going d/d that’s actually a hybrid setup. I run a similar setup for PvE that goes something like this:

Only for mine I have no points in soul reaping and go 20 in spite (for the axe traits and or the DS retaliation and because sometimes I want to use the minion trait instead and run siphon minions) and only 20 in blood- the rest goes in death.

The runes are totally up to you though. Since I sometimes do run the Ds retaliation trait, I prefer more toughness, but honestly you could use any of the condition dmg based runes of your choice and do just fine.

is this for PvE or PvP?

PvE right now, I’m a baby necro.. PvP Iunno… not sure it wil be useful tho are some skills to slow targets etc.

I am curious about this, I am currently going down blood magic, pretty new to game but really like it so far. I’m D/D atm. Anyone have any tips or build ideas? Anything would help.

I’m a bit new and really love earth as a whole, love the skills etc, like the others a bit too but I was wanting to make an earth condition build. Would this work at all?

Powerful healing ruins games, look at WoW and other MMOs, you’re crippled without a good healer no matter how good anyone else is. Not to mention some people like playing healers and some don’t. Can’t tell you how many times people would rage having to respec to heal or be forced to heal because some bosses were just easier to kill with rolling heals.

I think this is neat..I got the game.. seen the Necromancer pets and sighed.. doesn’t look anything like a Necro would use.. maybe something like a Fleshcrafter or butcher but where are the skellies etc?
