For all those people claiming lore: Should not have taken their land. All of it was theirs and humans only got it with the help of their gods. Not an exploit seeing the features was designed to give us the ability to grab any “crafted” stats available once the item was reset. So we are doing that.

Now what is happening is players taking advantage of an item set they overlooked. I really doubt they’ll let us keep the celestial backpiece. I believe they’ll either reset the stats and make us pick something else or they’ll let us keep it but disable the recipe for the item itself.

Though for now, “Yippy ky yay ky yo!”

I would really like a modern armor layout for the gem store to appear.

Such as a EOD suit for heavy armor classes. Your standard vest, shoulder pads, knee pads, arm guards, etc. for medium (AKA Not a trench coat). Some sort of flak vest layout for lights.

Would look pretty bad kitten on a few of the classes.

Five/Five celestial trinkets on guardian w/preferred backpiece is still pretty kitten good. Don’t see how the removal of magic find (Which did nothing to help your build) has changed this.

My hopes is that I have a full set of Sentinel’s Armor right there.

I’m at 35k+ kills and I’m not complaining.

Sacrex hit 250k kills and he did not complain.

At that it has already been stated that they’re looking into changing the AP system for WvW.

Truth be told, 25k kills is very easy to achieve and you do not deserve a reward for getting there.

No. While a decent attempt I hate time dilation. I hate when any game slows down. This takes away from players fighting each other and the skill aspect. People experience performance issues at different levels of stress. How would anet decide when it will activate? If I’m doing just fine and time dilation kicks in, I’m gonna be kitten ed off. The problem needs to be solved at the source.

Is it going to kick in for the whole map or server or what? Getting slowed down because too many people want to pile into SM would annoy everyone else greatly. If you only use it in the immediate area, those outside can do more in a shorter period of time. That wouldn’t be fair and the forcing everyone else to slow down wouldn’t go over well either.

While it could be a temporary bandage, it would be a bad one. It would make the game less enjoyable. You’d unfairly punish smaller groups/fights and take up lots of the devs time and effort. It does need to be fixed, but without compromising quality. While the current state can be bad I think time dilation would be worse.

Yes, that is the only issue for players in EVE too. It slows everything else on the server down.

That takes some dedication.

If anyone here has played EVE Online within the past two or three years, they would know what I am talking about. CCP introduced Time Dilation to EVE Online to help deal with massive server constraints during massive battles. Time Dilation would activated on a server node when said node experienced too much stress. This stress originally would cause tremendous amounts of module activation delay (AKA Skill lag) and other things (Such as movement delay.) Upon activation Time Dilation would slow down all activities on said server by around 30%; this, while slowing everything down and making battles last longer, allowed the server to deal with everything in a much easier manner.

Less server clog meant less skill lag, less skill lag meant less frustration for the players, less frustration for the players meant CCP did not have to listen to our complaints anymore regarding large space battles.

Alongside this CCP also kept upgrading their servers and even added more of them during this time. Not that I am accusing Anet of not doing this (I honestly hope they are, it would be a bad idea for them not to).

WvW suffers the same way EVE suffered. Comparing WVW to EVE is a bit crazy for me and not the best example but: The battles that occur in EVE happen on a node, or server, that runs that particular area of EVE. EVE Online’s universe is a ton of servers running to keep a massive world going. Those servers that have kept EVE running for the past ten years have crashed because of player usage, shutting down an entire area of the EVE Universe all at once.

WvW is like this. Four large maps, each having their own server, supporting hundreds of players who want to beat the living tar out of other players. On many occasions these players gather into large groups and clash with other large groups, battles sometimes reaching 200 players in higher tiers, if not more. This puts a tremendous amount of stress on the servers, clogging them and making everything slow down in negative manners. The main issues is that the servers just have too much of a hard time processing the usage of skills by all these players (Thousands of skills going off all at once or over the course of ten second, etc).

I honestly believe Time Dilation or a form of it would fix this: As soon as the server becomes clogged, it slows us all down by 30%…heck, why not just 20%? so it can stay caught up with all out button mashing.

I think it would work wonders, though it would also take a lot of work on Anet’s part. CCP put a lot of work into their Time Dilation system and took many months testing it out on their Experiment Server before they released it.

You’re a moron. The people who GvG are probably the ones that uphold your server in the first place. The ones who dedicate a lot of their time to WvW, when they could be spending it elsewhere. Yet, when they go to challenge a guild from another server for fun it is suddenly called exploitative farming?

Honestly, I have raged pretty badly at this entire thing. I have not been able to get past the pirates (Got down to my last one, the gunner, and then my heal skill did not activate after I mashed it a thousand times). Don’t get me wrong though, I am having a blast over this challenge, it is fun. The only thing that irks me about the whole thing is acquiring the tickets and then bugs.

Then this happened. I did not know whether to be angry or not so instead I simply went down swinging.

Has anyone else had this occur for them or am I just that unlucky? Oddly enough I’m sure someone could have managed that with all gambits turned on.

Actually no. I would hone up to my mistake and attempt to fix it through selling what I accidentally purchased or by using it. I would not come to the forums and ask for a feature that would annoy a lot of players.

No, it sounds like I rarely make this mistake and never complain about it because I realize it was my fault for not paying attention. I make a lot of purchases and a menu to make sure I clicked a button would annoy the hell out of me. If I buy something by accident I put it back on the market or use it. I am sorry I am not a cry baby when it comes to me screwing up and take responsibility for my mistakes.

I could not agree more with your point on currency. Why do we need a new currency with every addition to the Living Story? It just makes things more complicated. Simplifying all these LS currencies into one currency type would actually be very appreciated.

If a single currency type, for all these LS updates, were to be created it could be added to the new wallet and not have to be worried about in the long run. If we wanted to see our balance we could simply go to our wallet and check instead of having to rush to the bank to check.

To appease the OP: Good, I am glad the prices are finally dropping. Now everyone who hoarded them have to sell their items in panic to salvage their profit. That is if it does spew out charged slivers like no tomorrow. I would think the prices will go down regardless thanks t the new champion loot bag system.

So basically: Lord room fights where the lord goes up and down a few times a fight are going to become rather lucrative.

Yeah, they could not even get the Charr cultural armor right. Shows how much they care.

Unfortunately I am stuck in T3 armor because it is the only thing that looks good on a heavy Charr. Unless you go with the more barbaric look, but that is only nice on female Charrs.

Charr guardian here: You’re oh s wrong with what you’re saying. A support guardian would likely be rolling Shelter. If traited right, every time shelter blocks you get a stack of might. Dwayna does not give you 25 stacks of might in the middle of a zerg nor does it block (most) incoming attacks while being channeled. Those 25 stacks of might also heal you for around 1700 if you are using AH. Best heal to be using in a zerg fight in WvW.

If you are running a DPS/PvE build you would likely be running the signet for its 8k+ heal. If traited for signet cool down, you have a 32 second cool down on that signet: Just two seconds over the Dwayna heal. You also get automatic condition removal with this signet.

The Dwayna heal is obsolete unless, of course, your build sucks. You should not be running racial skills.

I made 18 gold today simply off of WvW. Turned my badges into about 8 gold, loot gave me about 8 gold and then events and other random things gave me two more.

At the moment there are 21 possible chest you can achieve. They give out, 1, 5 and 15 gold. 1, 2, 5 and 10 laurels. This will occur over the next few weeks.

Assuming you have 10k achievement points you will get somewhere around 40-50 laurels and somewhere around 60 gold over the course of three weeks.

Considering that most people do not have over 6000 achievement points and the fact that these are retroactive and will take 21 days to go fully into effect for the few people that have over 10k points: This is in no way, shape or form flooding the market with gold. This is not affecting the market and it is not harming anything.

In three weeks, I could earn 500 gold simply by farming CoF. Quit your crying and enjoy your free stuff.
