I think they’re just fine. Prevents mass migrations from occurring and completely screwing over WvW servers.
1600 gems will get you 22 Gold right now (I have 1600 gems).
Not worth it, specially since I can get 22 gold in a days hard work if I really wanted to.
Featured above, is “VERY SKINNY ARMS, Weightless floating skirted legs.”
Here is “Super Large chest, normal arms, Super Large legs.”
Look like a Helghast in the making there.
No.
There’s no reason for this to occur.
None of the grind issues you’ve stated hold water.
Legendaries: You were told from the start it would take a grind and at the moment these are purely cosmetic.
Karma Armor: Unique skin, that’s all. All stats given through karma armor can be gotten through dungeon tokens or gold.
Ascended gear: Intended for Fractals, must go to fractals to get it. You want gear intended to for fractals? Go do fractals.
I complete my dailies over time across the day as I play in Orr, WvW and other places. By the end of a play session, it’s done or nearly done. This hasn’t changed.
I see no issue.
And I could say exactly the same thing pre-patch. But now, for me, that’s changed.
Hence the issue I have with it.
That’s too bad isn’t it? Can’t see why it’s so hard for you to play WvW for an hour and get the thing done. Literally all you had to do yesterday was commit an hour to WvW.
Your suggestion is that I take an hour out of the limited time I have in the evening to game, and spend it in WvW – an area of the game I currently have zero interest in participating in? That is seriously your solution?
(sigh)
That was my solution to yesterday’s Daily. I have no idea about today’s daily.
Sorry to hear you can’t get on as often as you’d like, but MMOs have never been very friendly to those with time constraints. Your grind versus my grind re two different things.
But I see where you’re coming from and I’ll leave it at that?

Revives up the yang, dodges everywhere. Kills to be had, kill differences to be had and plenty of things to thwack, cut and chop with tools.
Alongside aquatic kills (Easily done in ten minutes, a non-issue) and crafting (Five minutes of your time and ten silver), I can’t see how this is a grind.
The only annoying thing I came across yesterday was the combo field, but that’s because it’s broken (They just did not want to register, regardless of the fact that I managed to get five of them or so before the new daily dropped thirty minutes after I logged in). As again, in Orr or a WvW fight, it would have been completed in so little time as you’re always doing leap/whirl/??? finishers.

I really like the new system and understood from the start that we were not going to get everything in one update; it was STATED by the devs before the patch even dropped.

I see no issue.
Far from unjust. They stated quite some time before the patch dropped that Laurels would not be given for this monthly.
No one is getting them, not even those who complete their monthly post-patch.
If one knows the achievement of it is not possible, they will not do it.
I disagree. I’ve seen many, many examples of people attempting to influence the opinions/feelings of others even when there is little to no chance of success.
Can’t disagree with that.
Frankly, the brown-nosing is even more obnoxious than the complaining.
Brown nosing occurs when a person is seeking special or better attention.
The achievement of it is irrelevant. It’s the seeking it that constitutes brown-nosing regardless of success or failure. lol
If one knows the achievement of it is not possible, they will not do it. Anyone with common sense knows this.
However most users on this forum lack common sense…but OP may have it; given he’s actually given constructive criticism with his complaint.
Frankly, the brown-nosing is even more obnoxious than the complaining.
Brown nosing occurs when a person is seeking special or better attention. That is not happening here as it is not possible to achieve the favor/being liked more by Anet as it would be unprofessional.
Yes, huge thumbs up. I like the new systems and rewards that come with them. I also love the fact that my performance in WvW, while still jumpy in zergs, is much better (Two year old laptop here, they did something right.).
You just “Offended” the vocal minority by calling them a minority. Prepare for a possible ragefest about how they thinnk they’re the majority because they say so.
Onto the thread topic. I love this game and can’t thank the Devs enough for the enjoyment that it has brought me. Though my thanks is less noticeable when weighed against the baw’ers of these forums.

Glue factory. Charr ran out of glue and needed more glue to keep their rust buckets together.
Kind of a necro but kind of not, seeing this subforum moves a bit slower than others. Though legions have no limits it seems, this is proven by NPCs in your warband elite and by very few NPCs.
Only a guardian will shout “Save yourselves!” and die for doing it.
(That was a terrifying experience ;;)
My final words; What zerg?
Hold my beer and watch this!
“Here lays Syktek, the idiot who valiantly jumped into a WvWvW zerg thinking he’d do something useful.”
I heard that in the mists, no one can hear you scream.
All things Wintersday related will no longer be available. Make up your mind!
Sure, while they’re at it why don’t they remove the alcohol which you’re encouraged to have your character guzzle and get drunk (Even though the intoxication effect is either broken or not in the game yet/never will be).
Also, kids shouldn’t be playing this game. Notice the ESRB rating? Yeah? T? Mmmhmm, for teens and older. Guess what? Most teens already know the terms, so there’s no point in censoring it.
Substance abuse iirc isn’t legalized at any age (in most countries), whether you are 10 or 90. Responsible consumption of alcohol is different.
However not illegal in a fantasy setting.
I’m highlighting the point that the ESRB has little to do with the topic in question here. If people can take offense to ‘crown’ then Bakestone can equally be offensive.
ESRB has everything to do with it. A Teen rating guarantees that there will be subjects that are inappropriate for children under the age of 13, who we refer to as kids. A teen rating means that things like this are bound to pop up and you were technically warned; regardless of these things being offensive or not.
Since a proper warning was given out, I see no reason for these things to be changed.
(Edit) Used the wrong word.
Well that’s irresponsible. So they’ll shield you from ‘bad words’ but you’re on your own for substance abuse?
I don’t see any shielding, I see warning labels.
The censoring would be the shielding is what I’m saying.
NPCharacters cuss, there’s no censoring of the game there.
Only censoring there is is of the chat system, which can be turned off. ESRB does not rate online interactions either.
Try naming your character with any variation of flatulence and you will most certainly be asked to rename your character.
Censoring of players trying to be purposely offensive.
I can use greek words to do that, doesn’t get censored. They’re only minimizing the amount of kittening people do as some things are “Offensive” to others. However, you’re not offended, you’re simply worried about a kid being introduced to drug related content.
Which leads us back to alcohol.

At least the user gave some constructive criticism. Good on them.
Being in a party means you’re sharing damage. So all you really have to do is tag an enemy if a party member has already done enough damage to cause RNG to roll for you or them.
Being in a party does not mean better drops.
This does affect your drop rate, but very slightly. Not drop quality however.
Magic Find does not increase drop rate, only the quality of drops.
-
It does not affect chest, only mob drops. No, all classes have the same chance.
I could see our hammer and GS getting hit due to their AoE #1, #2, and #3.
If I want to see a nude Charr or a nude human like character I’ll go to one of many artistic sites that allow those types of drawings.
As someone who recently decided that they want Foefire’s Power (Honestly, screw legendaries. I’ll attempt to get one later down the road when they’re actually appealing.). I’d love to see something done to lower the prices of Charged Loadstones at least by half. I do not look forward to having to spend near 400k on these things while farming CoE and Elementals for them.

No it is not going to be removed.
This would be amazing, but the obvious response is “We gave you boons for that,” or something underwhelming per the usual.
I back this suggestion, as I always find myself outran by other players who aren’t Guardians after I blow my CC to keep them close. I cannot afford to have the 20s swiftness boon “Retreat!” as it sacrifices much more needed boons.
As a counter to this! Remove our “Retreat!” shout.
Trash them to spite yourself or so.
I’ll give you a fish. However, not just an ordinary fish, this fish loves porn. Oh yes, let me tell you. I cannot leave the room without him changing the channel to something odd. I always come back and have to cover my eyes in terror. The fish just shouts at me to get out of his house.
Ah yes, he evicted me from my home and stole my family from me. He took them to America and they’re now millionaires.
However, he still belongs to me and I can give him away. Once an owner, you can use his money for whatever you wish.
I’m sure you could sell him for gold too.
In before the nerf? kitten Wishing I would have gone Ele as my main instead I’m sitting here training one up at the moment x3
Valve has already state that they wish to put more into and possibly even make a massive switch to Linux.
Heck, their console might even run on it.
Come to Orr and farm the Cursed Shore route before they nerf it.
Reminds me of a game on the Original Xbox called “Locked and Loaded” or something like that.
One of the weapons shot a land shark and it was hilarious.
Only reason people are angry about Legendaries is because they don’t have the time and/or money to amass the wealth it would require to make a profit off of one.
Legendaries are fine as is. Quit your job and play more. Stay with your job and pay more. Or get a job so you can pay more.
My opinion, since Legendaries are not that powerful and only there for the skins at the moment.
Guardian AH heals per boon have been buffed 10 fold.
> Give us back the old vigor system >:C
The more I play GW2 the more I’m against capitalism.
You’d hate EVE Online then. CCP doesn’t mess with the player Economy except for a few certain ‘control’ items that are very, very important to the game community.
Some items are price gauged to the tens billions of ISK (One billion ISK in EVE is worth 32 USD~) and man, it’s painful obtaining them: Unless you did what I did and yarhar fiddle de de being a highsec pirate is so fun to be! Do what you want cause a highsec pirate is freee; you are a highsec pirate.
-
I find this unlikely that there’s actually a item available. People have been managing to throw things on the market that should not be there; this might just be another one of them.

Guardian > Here’s my argument.
Knight’s armor works fine with Guardian if you’re going with an Altruistic Healing build coupled with Superior Sigil of Blood and Omnomberry Pie.
So you get 71~ healing per boon given to you and others. 325~ health per steal @ 96% chance to steal on critical.
Load up on 45-50% crit chance and some boons and you should be just fine. Throw in some extra crit damage and you can deal with stuff rather quickly while soloing PvE wise. The build also works in WvW.
> Today I was attacked by a mob in WvW. I knocked down two of them with help from Veteran NPCs and then took off running. They took some time to notice I was high tailing it. I got out of combat mode and logged to kitten them off. I don’t like being zerged.
So it will keep you alive in PvE. WvW is a bit iffy and depends on circumstances of what’s going on but you have great survivability, good damage and if you stick witha group you should be fine until overwhelmed by the Zerg Team 6.
Honestly, the nerf to Guardians yesterday barely makes a difference as long as you play smart.
You have about 14k+/- health depending on runes, medallions or whatever you throw on your armor. Around 3000-3400 armor depending on what your trait and what you put in your jewelry slots.
Use a hammer.
My experience with the Guardian. I’d suggest him as they’re much harder to kill.

I enjoy Jumping Puzzles.
I’ve completed the current jump puzzle over sixteen times. It’s quite simple, you just have to abuse your knowledge of camera control. You have to know your time subconsciously. You have to pay attention to your health.
Gingerbread Man path is the easiest by the way. Snow man path is the hardest. The Quaggan path is annoying but easy.

Congratulations Anet.
InB4 the poisonous users destroy this thread with their bickering completely (As since it’s already started).
People complain about how much Gems cost when buying with Gold. Though, you don’t consider that the people selling Gems bought it with their own MONEY and are trying to make a profit.
I wouldn’t even consider buying Gems and supplying them to the market if I was going to get less than one gold per 100 of them.
Forums are a minority. They do not represent the majority.
The majority should be considered a tallied consensus of opinions throughout the internet, in real life, and the likes. Forums are always filled to the brim with miserable, poisonous players who almost always have content lacking complaints about anything they can find that didn’t match their standards. So they make threads that decay and poison the views of others in multiple aspects; they usually lack any constructive criticism.
If I’m at all wrong, (as these forums are filled with the biggest bunch of complaining, poetic goons) (It’s worse than the EVE Online forums) I feel bad for the gaming industry, because they’ve begun to cater to a bunch of kittening carebears.
It sounds like you are doing what you complain about others doing
Slightly, though there’s a clear difference between my complaint and their complaints. My complaint is on something that has gotten on my nerves for quite some time. I dealt with this crap in EVE for three years and now I have to deal with an even worse case of it. Poisoned communities get really annoying, especially when it’s everywhere you go.

Who kittenen cares.
Anet / ncsosft money department should
and that means all of you fanboys too …
you know less money less content even less bug fixes?
No, no they shouldn’t. They already made money off him and if he doesn’t get a refund ,Which most people will not, they made their money off him.
This game will stay healthy for quite some time and probably has already met its marketing needs to the point where they have made money off of it. They will continue to do so regardless of players like this leaving as more will always join.
Just look at EVE Online. The great freak out of September 2011 (Oh the drama was delicious), nearly ten thousand players left or even more. CCP shrugged it off and guess what? Most of them came back and they have many new players now.
