Golem in a box will get fixed, i hope. Every server in this tier has had at least some guilds doing it. If those guilds choose to, let them, that is there choice. However, if it looks like a duck, and smells like a duck, then most likely, it is a duck. There, I have shared my wisdom of the ages with you all. [Work] and the other guilds in the Aoi Alliance, have not; will not ever use GiaB.
As far as this video goes, I saw no FoE tag trying to jump that “ninja cata” wall. I saw FoE outside of bay in the beginning, and then inside outer attacking the gate during most of the seige. They most likely could have had a mesmer in Lord’s Room waiting for the right window of opportunity to actually get himself/herself over the inner wall, and it just took that long [until the gate was at 10%] to actually get out there to drop the portal. And as far as getting by the outer wall, they most definately could have had a mesmer hiding, seperate from the one inside inner, somewhere in between outer and inner. As far as fact goes, I was not there, nevertheless, it is a plausible scenerio.

I believe what matters most is that people attempt to fight the urge to post hack stuff on these threads. Report the issue with the tools we have at our disposal. Blanket calling out an entire server and specific guilds with no actual proof behooves no one.

We don’t have Oceanic* comparable to SoS. While we do have Oceanics (Aussie’s and what not) they don’t have near the numbers to hold down 4 map’s at the same time like SoS can. We have SEA presence that has never been disputed. And I don’t think anyone least to my knowledge has termed any of the guilds coming to JQ as “bandwagongers” but if you want to call them that feel free it might be why your not getting guilds

Not really, just watched 18 VoTf wipe the whole FoO zerg, got a little bit of a kitten.
Our server didn’t get the guilds simply because we are #1 and have been #1 for months, we recruited what we needed to fill our coverage gaps; ND, VoTf we didn’t bother stacking all our coverage zones, now in hindsight probably should of but oh well. We’ll see next week, till then GL VotF smash em!

To make a note that was right after they wiped your WORK zerg and you claiming that FoO was taking advantage of rendering using mesmer ability veil which I might add I think last night TYSM rolled over me probably 6 times in BGbl with the same tactic. I know, I know it’s okay when you do but not for us right. Or hell ever render bombing from the corner of a keep is just as bad think I have had that happen hundreds of times so yea…I have fun none the less I see it coming I throw all my heavy’s to the center charge enough said.

When melee steps into an aoe kittentail put out by a couple of people on TS at the same time, you die instantly. You need to fight with ranged skills and melee flanking to counter instead of charging in brain dead with noob SOS OR DEATH chants into an obvious aoe bomb trap. Then blame the godlike nature of opponents instead of lack of battle reading skills because 10 people died instantly.

I’m just saying this because SoS is getting kitten soft due to overly extended long bouts of easy mode Asia/Oceanic night capping (often lasting 6-12) hours to achieve our point advantage.

It becomes ridiculous when commanders tell the map that they are too scared to confront a few RG with a full SOS zerg after charging blinding into an aoe bomb ONCE. It’s bad for server morale and server pride, and shows how dependent we have become on PVDoor, overwhelming numbers and overwhelming golems for every tower we take.

I’m in no way saying SOS is degenerative. But the initial enjoyment of WvW 4 months ago is starting to become really a turnoff when commanders turn up that foul mouths and lords everyone 24/7 on EB, yet have little battle tactics or imagination to speak of apart from throwing away massive amounts of gold at the simplest of encounters. Let alone the courage to confront coordinated opposition with gusto and learn fast.

I, however, got caught with my pants down during 1 hr of fighting. My guild’s prime time was not for another hr or so, there was NO commanders on EB, and the few guildies I had with me were just trying to stop the bleeding. I suppose it is SoS’s fault for not having a server wide TS and running training/ tactic meeting for the entire server, but we rely on each specific guild to choose to come to our server meetings, sending a representative, and we branch out that way. If militia on SoS continue to run solo or in small guilds, we can only do so much for them in helping them become prepared about what is happening with evolution of the meta game here. They need to reach out to Kurthos, myself, Coron, Jed, any of the commanders on SoS and get involved. You can expect only so much if you just run the same old traits, log on, type B and queue for EB. We do have a community here. There is only so much you can do in map chat during a fight. As far as Commanders being disrespectful in map chat of EB or any other map… I can assure you they DO NOT wear my tag or any of the Aoi alliance, so quoting me and speaking of that in general statements doesn’t settle well with me. If you do have issues with people in chat, you can report through customer service. But thank you for your constructive criticism, and it sounds like you are from SoS; if so PM, come and voice your opinion during our server meetings… we all want to hear what you have to say, and maybe coming to it, would shed some light on what our community is doing, working on, to address this tactic. Furthermore, we do have our own server forum. Join it, come hang out.

Calling them militia is the single worst thing you could do It has a derogatory and downgrading tone towards others.

Well, personally feel calling them PUGS is bad, and being from ’Murica, i see the militia reference as a bit of compliment… militia means an army composed of ordinary citizens rather than professional soldiers. I mean the militia did win us independence from the Queen, so it is meant with love…from a U.S.A. perspective.

Red Guard is a joke, all they do is to take turns to aoe the ground and go crying when we range them. Their siege and push melee skills are Tier 5 at best.

Oh you are enjoying your pvdoor atm? Not to put IoJ or Yak’s down, but didn’t both those servers just have a mass exodus? So what you are saying is, you would like to completely pvdoor your tier for a month maybe more? Am I understanding this correctly? Because I thought Wv3 was an open world pvp venue where people actually pvp other gamers on the battlefield.

It would gauge it better than watching what is happening in your servers match up, Kain’s match up, and allow SBI, if it is as fractured as it is, to fall into a tier it belongs. This would clear up any major blowouts very well. Did you look at some of the lopsidedness happening? I do not think any server community should have to endure what HoD went through, or any of the servers that have had to play Kains lately, IF anet can help with a simple reset. So we are at an impasse and must agree to disagree.

EDIT: it isnt going to take 3wks to even. The Glicko rating system doesn’t work that fast with the 3rd party variable being a dud.

The OP says that 3 blowouts are happening. Your idea is that we should have 1-2 months of blowouts across at least 6 tiers at a time. Please stop posting your bad idea.

I am sorry, what are you saying? I am confused. All posts, I thought, were referring to some kind of playoff, resetting all points in Wv3 to make sure 1-2 months of blowouts DOES NOT happen. Did you not get enough sleep?

I would like to wish my EU brethren good luck on their bid to attain some more coverage for you Wv3 battles. I know it has been a little crazy over here on NA servers since the free transfer announcement. I hope you not only find the proper guilds for the time zones you need, but also the right guilds that help bolster your community.

It will even out. Blowouts are happening because of deserted servers being in higher tiers and bandwagoned servers being in lower tiers. The latter cause will start to be fixed by next week when the 10 strongest servers will take up the top 11 spots. After that it will take a few weeks for those servers to settle in the right tiers. The dead servers moving down may take a longer time. IoJ is headed for T8 and will be in T5 next week so it won’t take too long, but SBI will continue to be in T2 when they should now be in T6-T8.

With a server reset and a week or 2 of 48 hr matches. it may help get things settle faster, instead of 12 weeks to get things settled.

I started out GW2 on HoD. And really did enjoy the community. Things got fairly hectic with the TA alliance success, and our small guild had, coincidentally, left about week before TA broke up, heading for DB [eventually settling on SoS]…. to join some old SWTOR friends. It only brings joy to my heart that you all are having a great time. I often wondered how you all were doing, and congrats on your first win in 13 weeks.

If any of my behavior has offended anyone, I apologize. However, SoS hasn’t trolled other servers’ recruitment threads. And from what I have seen, only posted best wishes and props. So it is my hope that this thread can be respected. We are only looking for a few solid Euro guilds to come and join our community.We are not looking for entire servers, or even any other time zone. Most europian guilds prefer fighting then just going for points so I doubt you will be getting allot of transfers.

Then the Europeans should come to enjoy the most hardcore Tier 1 fighting environment.

Sure there is European Tier 1, but why huddle all in one place? Sea of Sorrows needs you!

Why don’t you transfer your guild to a European server instead? Sure there is a Tier 1 on the North American servers (as well as Tiers 2-8), but aparrently it’s really boring as the same server keeps winning all the time.

Better yet, why don’t Americans stay on the NA servers, and the Europeans on the EU servers, wouldn’t that be a really novel idea?

BTW, “To The British and Europeans” – Britain is in Europe, if you can’t get long standing real world geography right, how can you be trusted with the geography on a fantasy map which has existed for a far shorter period of time…..

Score update? Busy enjoying the NFL at my father’s home, eating BBQ ribs and rib eyes with a nice slightly spicy ranch dry rub.

I do think it is interesting that PRX, SF and RG all choose to head to JQQ…but hey, this is a game and ppl paid their 60 bucks to do what they will. PRX is a great guild from my experience being server mates, I wish them the best. SF bailed off a sinking ship, and obviously wanted to stay in the competitive fight. Ashame though, it wasn’t like SBI was entirely dead, they could’ve recruited, instead hopped the bandwagon, while complaining about how SoS was recruiting for Euro times. RG, from what i understand, didn’t care where they went, just as long as when they logged on there was an open T1 server, and that was where they went…which happened to be JQQ.

Besides my own QQ about this transfer fad, I do believe this has been a very competitive weekend, and look forward to the week ahead. Does SoS have enough room to avoid getting stomped during our down time [Euro time zone] and pull off a win? Hopefully PRX and RG get nice and distracted fighting HB in force, they all forget about SoS income, and just have fun.

This is a solid idea. Great idea, as long as we do not end up getting stuck into some kinda of bowl system. But brackets and a playoff a few times a year. This would be great.

This is a more enlightened way of addressing server transfer. Unlike the qq thread that mirrors this.
*Server transfers should be paid. It allows persons actions to have a conseqence.
*Stablity gained
*Community grows within servers.
*Ppl continue to have fun

This is a solid suggestion. It might hurt some server morale, the weaker ones, but would get WM outta the basement sooner, and sort out the top few tiers.

AND, if big guilds really do care about this game, ppl will pay to make Wv3 balanced again, and transfer to another server, if stuff gets stagnate. All this does is stop the bleeding and gives stability to our community.

You see all these nice posts about “close community”, “great place to be”, “join us in our efforts”. Tons of sugarcoating for a simple message:

“We win in WvW by outnumbering the opponent. Join us so our advantage gets even bigger.”

SoS is recruiting. Really? The No1 server that has won all matchups in the last 2 months bar one (and usually without much trouble). What are you trying to achieve? Build HoD 2.0? We already had a completely broken T1 competition before, it was fun for neither side.

Kaineng recruiting while they 600+ curbstomp their opponents? Really? Are those doors too vicious for you to handle? Need more help with them?

Now, it would be bearable if people were actually honest and straight out admitted that they are in for the win, and will do whatever it takes (fun side note: The servers that get bandwagooned to by people who value the win most, also have the highest numbers of hackers on their sides. Remember BG when they first went up to T1 …).

However, all the sugary “community” sales pitch sounds exactly like that: The attempt by some win-hungry players to dress their selfishness into words that will attract others to ensure their own easy victory without having to fight.

Why did you not do the same, and recruit people to SBI and have some server pride? /flip flop

oh lol, mt. okay, so seperate the superior to the end of your bags, like use an invisible or something, and place the regular up top left. But as i think about it, making the prints a different color would settle this, but the coding is prob kinda tough, considering how superior siege is made w/the forge and all. Most definately with all the more pressing issues the devs are undertaking.
