OK it would be nice if each 3 servers were all close together in strength, but the reality is that there are glaring differences and it’s completely unfair for a server to be completely demolished by the same server over and over because the pecking order has placed them in the same matchup as them.
Therefore I propose some artificial balancing be added; some minor buffs when your world is below say 28% map control. They should be strong enough to prevent the devastation we’re seeing now, but weak enough to avoid rubber-banding. The idea is to make matchups that are completely one-sided at least semi-competitive if the servers are willing to put in the effort.
Back in beta they made dye unlocks character bound instead of account bound and said to compensate they were making it easier to get the specific dyes you want. The problem is how is someone supposed to know what dyes they want when there’s no way to preview them all?
This could be added to the dye interface (add a checkbox for “only show dyes I own” and be able to see (but not save) all dyes if you uncheck it) or added via NPCs in the major cities.
To answer your first question there were no mobs around for quite some time and he was standing still spamming 1 and his traps.
To answer your second question it wasn’t a safe spot it was an area where mobs spawn and there were an awful lot of them, all standing still for the entire time I was in the area gathering nodes.
I got to thinking with all these gold sellers they’ve gotta be getting enough done before their accounts get banned to make it worth it. Therefore I propose that the game keep track of which players have a history of reporting players that end up getting banned and the GM’s immediately investigate any report made by those players.
On another note I saw a player earlier who was clearly botting and I reported him for it, but he also had a lot of players around him just idling; this seemed pretty suspicious to me and I would investigate that as well.
The weapon I would most like to see added is Battleaxe (2H axe) but there are many other good suggestions here as well.
Agreed; to simply disable certain skills underwater is just lazy design. Either make it so they can work underwater or make them change into another skill that does. It’s ridiculous to have 1/3 of your skills not work underwater, not to mention some classes only have 1 elite skill that actually works underwater. (The elementalist didn’t even have one for a bit there).

Thx for your response. Well getting a legendary weapon in this game makes getting “the insane” title in WoW look like a cakewalk by comparison so screw that, and ofc I just lose money by crafting. I’m still gonna get weaponsmithing and cooking maxed out on my main since I figure I might as well finish (actually having fun with the discovery system for cooking) but won’t do crafting on any of my other characters.
“i will avenge you!” was very(!!) OP. if you killed someone with this buff all allies which were dead (not downed) rallied.
Imagine WvW, your zerg is dead and you manage to kill someone with “i will avenge you” and instant all your allies are alive…just OP.
They would ofc have to limit the maximum number of targets it could affect (3 maybe?) and they would come back with only partial health.
I didn’t read the whole thread, but from the OP it sounds to me like the couple you save in the first encounter with the Green Knight has simply been blown out of proportion here by applying it to the rest of the game. This particular couple IS absolutely all up in your face about their relationship, arguably stopping the story dead rather than being part of it. Whether gay or straight, to arbitrarily shove a relationship all up in the player’s face like that is a bad design decision.
A person or couple’s sexual orientation should simply be part of their character and it is shameful to both players of GW2 and the gay community to use it a commodity by essentially announcing “ha-ha; we have a gay couple in our game!” instead of allowing it to be a natural part of the game like the other homosexual relationships I’ve thus encountered in GW2.
I’ve found it pretty difficult and expensive to keep 1 profession caught up to my level, let alone 2 and there just doesn’t seem to be any benefit as near as I can tell. I can easily get XP from other sources and I can just sell mats on the trading post and buy whatever gear I need and have money left over instead of losing money by crafting.
Is there any reason to take up crafting other than legendaries?

Please add an option in settings to make you have to press ESC to deselect targets. My ability to PvP is seriously hindered by suddenly losing my target multiple times during the fight because I accidentally clicked somewhere and this setting was a godsend when I played WoW.
No class is designed to take large amounts of damage; the idea is not to get hit very often. Tanks simply don’t exist in GW2.
Quoted from the link: As a reminder, “I Will Avenge You” was supposed to revive nearby allies when you kill someone, which is a mechanic the game already uses, making this shout useless.
I can see why they did it, but I should point out that allies only get rallied from an enemy dying (not revived from defeated state) and only if they damaged the enemy in question. I have to admit it was probably a good decision, but perhaps make banners rally allies when summoned or make one of the signets revive an ally to compensate?

Maybe I’m missing something here, but that’s why I made this post. Also some of the skills I haven’t mentioned are pretty niche.
Bull’s Charge: Nice skill in theory, but when I use it I go right through my opponent and out of melee range, dunno if it’s bugged or what.
Frenzy: OK I get that burst quickness is useful, but with a 60 second cd you can’t really use it often enough to make it worth taking, not to mention you take more damage while using it.
Fear Me: Sounds awesome until you look at the range; it’s hard to land and effectively single target since you basically have to be on top of your opponent. Maybe it’s purely a PvE “oh ****” button, idk.
Banner of Strength: Gives everyone 90 power and condition damage for the duration, but why take this when you can take “For Great Justice” instead and give everyone a constant 105 power and condition damage plus the occasional 8sec fury?
Berserker Stance: If you really need more adrenaline there are easier ways of generating it that don’t eat up a utility slot just for faster adrenaline gain.
Signet of Might/Fury: These both just seem like filler to me. Better to replace them with more interesting/useful skills.
Whether you agree or disagree with me I welcome any constructive input.

Why would that be a problem? All of the other professions have utility skills that heal with the exception of the Mesmer. Also the warrior is one of only 3 professions that doesn’t have a utility skill that revives.
The only explanation I can come up with is that they wanted to have battle standard revive fallen allies and decided it would be OP for a warrior to have both. Personally I’d rather have “I will avenge you” back and remove the effect from battle standard. Then I wouldn’t be obligated to have battle standard as my elite skill and wouldn’t be forced to wait for players to need revived before placing it when I do have it.

When I was specced for damage I used a sword MH and axe offhand with a crit and condition damage build. Your basic attack bleeds on 2/3 hits and your burst skill bleeds as well. Also your 5 skill and burst skill both do a lot of hits which do a lot of damage AND proc many bleeds and vulnerability from traits.
Also with the leap, cripple, and immobilize skills you have you can stick to enemies pretty well.

Probably just not listing the numbers properly then; I haven’t actually run damage tests on any of these. Well at any rate I’m glad to have my answer.
tbh a range increase is probably all the axe elite skill needs
A few of the burst skills should really be replaced or buffed IMO.
Rifle: easily interrupted and does less damage than just auto-attacking for the duration.
Axe: the range on the leap is a joke and the damage is mediocre; I see no reason to have this in your main hand instead of a sword atm.
Mace: it just gets completely blown away by the hammer’s burst skill; needs more damage or an extra effect or something.
Well that’s my opinion; do you other warriors agree or am I missing something here?
Currently if I want to do structured PvP with my friends we have to hop on the same server and hope we all manage to get in on the same side (which usually doesn’t happen), not to mention because of the stupid forced team-switching we sometiems get split up afterwards anyway.
We need a way to queue as a group for Structured PvP. Group queueing for WvW would be nice too.
I agree; it was a really stupid idea to add forced team switching and that it’s worse than having imbalanced teams. What they should do is stick in people who click “play now” (or whatever the button is called when you don’t select a server) and use them to balance teams.
