Can people try to see the bigger picture and stop whining please. One buff and one nerf.

I’m also quite tired of people saying they want to quit the
game. Such a dramatic thing to say. I wonder what those people
do when they face challenges in rea life. However, I’m also not
totally upset with the Guardian community. There are a few balanced
voices among us ^^. They’re nice to listen to ahaha.
Get people from higher levels to help you with your personal story.
Makes you able to get into levels you wouldn’t normally be able to do.
Not that I’ve done it myself, since I normally do go over the “limit”.
So like if it says #recommended level 40" and you’re level 36, you’d be able
to do it with some help ^^.
Also, just completing each zone/area fully is also a good way to go
.
Hiya.
There’s a lot to GW2. Some things good, some not good and then
the things in between. The feeling when…
Post your own
. Don’t be too negative though ^^.
I think it’s healthy to do things differently.
I just hope ArenaNet exploits this to the max and creates something epic.
Imagine a wall of reflection nerf down to 5 seconds :<
There’s so many guilds and it depends on what server you’re on.
You can visit a site called gw2guilds.com (I think) and there’s a lot of
guilds listed there. Many great guilds are the small ones, but that depends
on what you like ^^.
If you were on my server I’d be glad to help you
I’d recommend you search the Wiki.
While in game, hit enter and then type /wiki
and your browser will open up to the GW2 wiki.
Then you type in the name of the mission.
Beyond that, it COULD be a bug if you’re doing everything right
and nothing is happening.
Which one did you pick? If you’ve picked yet ^^.
I have to agree. Loving the game…
But just today, I was vs this champion THING. And it kept focusing me,
wherever I kitten well went. Eventually it got defeated, with the help of some other players and some teamwork. Was a good battle.
The reward? Somethng like rawhide trousers or something. I’m over level 50.
If you happen to be on my server, I’d be most happy to
come help you out if need be.
It does work. Only on your allies though, as stated. I told a Warrior to
check his toughness rating. After he checked, I asked him to check it again, now
that I had enabled this trait. He was like “wtf? xD” hahaha. Was funny.
I despise the focus too. What an odd weapon to bring into a game. Never even heard of anything like it ><. Looks like you might be holding a doorhandle or something rofl. I’ve gotten used to the shield. +90 toughness for the win
. It would be nice if shield of absorption actually held foes out for the full fantastic duration of FOUR seconds it has. Because I often find that I used the knockback and then before I’m done, my enemies are on top of me again and thus I have to end the shield even quicker ^^.
One thing I love about (at least our forum) is that
we say “We” ohh man.
Guardian is a solid choice ^^. Just don’t expect high
HP haha.
You are able to kill, yes.
With the Guardian however, it really depends a lot on how you play.
I think most people prefer to run with a combination of at least vitality
and toughness and/or healing power. Anyhow, there’s a lot to manage.
Guardians rely quite a bit on boons, such as protection, that reduce damage
by 33%. So if you’re not using the various combo-fields, boons & other utilities
as well as sometimes just plain dodging, it can be easy to get the feeling of things
like “I have no health, compared to the other classes” or “I die all the time”.
Guardians are really awesome, because even IF you actually suck, you still have abilities which can at least benefit others around you. My style of play is very much tank/support-oriented, as I enjoy those roles.
In PVP many people complain about the Guardians lack of ranged options, which is true. We can only utilize the scepter, because it has a decent amount of range on it. But like with everything else, it depends on how you play and there IS a place for Guardians in PVP.
I would recommend you at least get your characters to 30 by the way ^^. If those are your only two.
Good stuff.
ArenaNet have said they don’t like to reveal things before they’re
done. Which I can actually attest to feeling the same about.
Hiya.
So in the sad event I have to use the in-game tool to report a bug,
I have to go through using the tool. As is good practice in all bug-reports,
you provide a detailed description of what went down. Well, what I find is that
it’s a little annoying to do at the moment, for a few reasons.
1 – There’s a hard limit on the word count and the word count that is currently
in place, isn’t large enough in my view, if you want to add in a little formatting and
actual, proper, descriptions of what happened.
2 – When you try to make a spacing, like when you press Enter, it seems to lag a bit.
And it also doesn’t quite do what it’s supposed to. At least not for me.
Anyone else experienced this?
NO. Let players choose. What if you had some epic looking armor you
just love to bits. Then you have to go to your hero panel and switch to it
everytime you venture into a town, or out of one. I do think more options for
casual clothes would be nice however ^^.
Sounds useless. I’d consider this something to be VERY far down
the list, compared to the other things the game and the community
actually NEED. This is just a “nice to have” feature.
Hiya.
So I’ve often thought that it at times is a little difficult to distinguish
each zone/area from one another. Like, usually you can see where one
zone/area starts/stops from the mountains. But sometimes, like in the Snowden
area, there might be a skillpoint or what have you, inside a mountain. But
without going in there or previously having done so OR otherwise knowing,
it can be tricky to see if that skillpoint is in the zone/area you’re in or if it’s in the
next one.
So, would it be an idea to make more clear, the borders of each zone/area?
I see many in the game who I think look attractive
That’s a sure sign a game has good graphics/design
Something is wrong on your end then.
I go to the forums and sign in and that’s it.
However if you are at the home page and login and
then go to forums, THEN you have to login twice. -
Yes, for god sake please.
When a friend of mine joined GW2 I wanted to do her a favor and get her some
tools. But alas, couldn’t send them to her…
Why not just make it a subsection of Tailoring?
I hate that sanctuary doesn’t protect against everything !
If it doesn’t, don’t call it a sanctuary ! Such a bad name. It’s so
small, so when you DO get hit by something that goes through it,
you have next to no space to move around. Effectively making sanctuary useless.
Signet of Mercy doesn’t always revive people either, nor the correct ones I’ve found.
Sometimes I’ll stand close to a player and target them and then have an NPC revive instead.
These are some pretty awesome suggestions.
- Instanced player housing with discounts and benefits in that particular town.
- Mini-games in each town.
- More jumping puzzles and general non-combat events
Definitely agree with this !
There’s plenty killing, but not plenty playful activities ^^.
These kind of things really keep people playing.
You can remove the hud by pressing ctrl + shift + H and then typing /sleep so your character lies down. After that it only takes some positioning to get a screenshot without anyone on it
.
For the events, I’d say… Join a guild. Someone is bound to be happy to help you out with an event. If not, then maybe you should consider if that guild is the right one for you.
I also agree with the heights. I despise charr and others who are extremely huge…
Hiya.
Too often when I have to destroy siege equipment or the like, in PVE, I find that I constantly get the “Miss!” sign popping up. This is despite standing so close to said equipement, that my face is in it, basically. So there I am, standing so close, trying to destroy this thing, with my greatsword and constantly getting misses. Also despite the sword clearly cleaving the object. Could this be improved?
I still manage to destroy it/them of course. But it takes longer than it would if the hit-detection was properly implemented.
Thank you.
It’s called Guild Wars. Therefore I think it’s reasonable if
SOME kind of GvG feature is present; so long as implemented with care.
I wouldn’t want an NA server anyway. Yuck.
Shame to hear you guys. Maybe if they’re nice, they’ll be doing
something specifically for CE holders further down the line ^^.
Maybe the release of more songs. I don’t know if you’ve been to the grove,
but the Vista music there is terrific.
Problem is on your end. Loading screens are fine.
No, I don’t have an SSD, nor a supercomputer and/or
100gigabit internet.
I think the Focus weapon is really odd and not suited for
a Guardian O_o- I’m not bored yet ^^. I love the epic leap
with GS
.
^
I believe the price goes up depending on your level.
I think it’s just you. I’d get worried once I start being able to find allies in
WvW at prime time.
I agree that there ought to be some better ways for people to express
what they feel. At the same time however, I personally feel like the forums
are very clean. There’s not much spam, trolling or flaming and allowing people
to be more vocal about actions taken on behalf of the moderation staff, only
slows them down in their work. Therefore, unless it’s something you feel is
HIGHLY unjust, I don’t think it’s worth getting too fussed about what they do.
Maybe there ought to be a another subforum for Forum Suggestions, where people can discuss the efficacy of the moderators, as well as what they like/dislike about the
forum. Of course, there’s already a Suggestions forum, but that’s for GW2 stuff and I don’t think it would be smart to clog that up.
The mods don’t even have any names ^^.
Never seen that before. Kinda cool really, then there’s
no sucking up. But really symke, it’s just one thread and chanes are
you wouldn’t have added anything to the conversation which a number of
other people wouldn’t have done already. Sorry to break it to you mate ^^.
Don’t worry either. There’s going to be plenty of the same posts/threads
.
It seems you’re VERY damage-oriented. Personally, I find great joy in
helping others out ^^. There’s nothing like seeing explosions and flashes
in the distance and you run closer, only to see an ally at very low health
fighting something. Then you rush in, roll and then shield them
.
Well it depends on your preferences as always, as well as your previous
experiences with MMO/gaming. Personally, I can recommend reading the
descriptions of each class and see which one appeals to you. For example, I
went the path of the Guardian, because I liked the notion of protecting my
allies. All the professions have strengths and weaknesses, so it’s really up to you ^^.
I don’t know if you’re able to. But if you want my help in-game, pick WhiteSides Ridge as your “home” server
.
What were you trying to do?
I know you can use BBcode on the site.
Here check this guide out to see if you’ve
done it right. You can also use something else
you see, called Textile.
I already posted about this too ^^.
For me it was the Guilds area. Also in German.
It’s fine now, so I’m sure yours will be too .
I think it’s insanely ridiculous that people actually suggest SKRITT.
Wouldn’t that just be a tad idiotic? Or are people already pretending to
be skritt perhaps? I can’t imagine seeing a Skritt with a huge greatsword (GS)
and heavy armor. Or a Skritt elementalist… Or anything..
As with all the other things, they’re working on it and you can’t expect much
more beyond that, except from them notifying you that they’re working on it ! ^^
Mmm not sure if I’m understanding you. But there is such a
thing as checking some boxes in the chat window. You click a
button, I think it may be a gears icon… And that brings up a list.
So for example you can disable guild chat and others. But of course,
people would still see you online…
How about ArenaNet designs bots that look like Chuck Norris.
These bots will venture forth out into Tyria, like everyone does.
Equipped with casual and appropriate Tyrian clothing and some
appropriate-not-too-annoying voice over, these bots go hunt down
other malicious bots. They do this by going to places where people have
reported botting and otherwise roam freely the realm of Tyria. Beyond
casual ware, they’ll naturally have built-in behavioral scanning, which
uses data received by GW2 servers to see if extensive repetitive actions
are being executed over a very large amount of time and seek out these
places by themselves. Further, so as to not clutter Tyria and potentially
ruin immersion, they will be stealthed too and only appear once they’ve
found another malicious bot. Then they initiate their one-of-a-kind voice
over and smite the bot(s) so hard they get a permanent ban. Their mission
will invariably be arduous, but Chuck Norris can handle it and with their effort,
they will perhaps slowly liberate Tyria from this kitten botting nightmare.
P.S. Should these bots of the free world come into contact with a specimen that isn’t easily identified as to being a bot or not, they will send an automatic message to whoever is in charge, detailing the exact time, date, location and name of the supposed bot.
Oh and no captchas.

Only potions can alter your looks for a brief time thus
far, to my knowledge ^^.
Hiya.
As posted in this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Miss-purchased-Items/first#post453481
The OP had some troubles concerning the preview and what the actual
animations looked like. I’ve experienced this too. So my idea is, why not make
the character have a running preview, instead of one where they’re idle?
Then you get to turn the character around and view from all angles, before
you go ahead and purchase or try something out. Then you could have another
button to toggle running mode off, so the character is idle.
Don’t count on it.
But that actually does make a good suggestion come to mind.
Which I’ll post about in the suggestions forum.
I wonder why this isn’t stickied.
As someone else pointed out, you do lose the original
sounds. I wouldn’t want that… So my thought is I’ll wait until
I’ve been through everything, before I change to a custom playlist.
That, or the developers they release the originals or something. I don’t know
if it’s included, but sometimes when you do a Vista, the music is so nice, like
in the Grove. I wouldn’t want to lose that.
Pretty unfair to call it a bogus game just because you appear to have
connectivity issues. Tried netalyzr? …
