What I don’t get, Mossman does hit underwater, doesn’t he? I don’t do fractals often (did it maybe once or twice after the glitch went live), and I experienced damage from him. So you don’t evade his attacks.

He hits you underwater but if you make him teleport from ground to water his weapon swap will bug and since ground skills don’t work underwater you can press 1 and go afk.

1) Chronomancer – Direct upgrade of base mesmer, cool mechanic, fun to play
2) Reaper – Fun to play, cool theme
3) Dragonhunter – Pew pew guardian, has its moments
4) Daredevil – OK, needs some work but OK
5) Berserker – Not sure what is this spec for
6) Herald – Zero customization in a game where customization is a must.
7) Tempest – D/D ele with an identity crisis.

Nope. Devs don’t care about dungeon or fractal exploits.

Even archeage has options to customize names you see on the screen.

Body blocking bosses in corners with earth elementals, trolling people by locking them in corners while they are in combat, fixing “a problem” that is not even there, insane lag and server crashes. I am up for it.

its amusing to be in a dungeon and solo the boss cause berserkers died in 1 hit. while i just go “that didn’t hurt >=D”

i’m currently experimenting mixing some knight gear in with the soldier to give me a bit of critical. but as it is i’m out damaging berserkers by a MASSIVE margin due to my durability, power, and vamperic dmg.

Forge is a dedicated tank. Does little damage, but all skills have taunt. Also debuffs enemies for team.

Anet didn’t reuse the gw1 engine! They worked ~2 years only on the gw2 engine. This engine has NOTHING todo with gw1.

And the engine was the main reason for gw2, because some things like jumping or the dynamic events or char moveing+fireing was just not possible with the gw1 engine. Since the gw2 announcement basically everything in gw2 has been build around the new engine possibilities.
Like jumping puzzles to show of the jumping capabilities, or pvp which got build around the dynamics movement system, or events as the ‘new’ way instead of quests, or the dynamic personal story scenes (which aren’t used in the newer gw2 content anymore, because some dev said they are a big load of work).

If you look at 5-6 years old informations and videos about gw2, you will find out that most innovation and most design concepts were and still are based on the new gw2 engine.

GW2 runs on GW1 engine. They modified it to get jumping and combat to work but it is still the same engine.

I think they flagged some griefers loooong time ago when thread about that was on subreddit’s front page for like a week. They got 3 days ban or something.

All drop except for precursors and few collection skins is trash. 99.9% of the time you automatically salvage and/or sell all your loot. There is no hidden mechanics. Just terrible system.

The only reason we have GW2 is because they were unable to do what they wanted with the game engine from the original, so that had to start over with GW2. I would say the same would be true if we were to see a GW3.

AS it is now, they have the tools they need to accomplish what they wish, so, for the foreseeable future, I do not think we will be seeing a GW3.

If that was the case then it is hilarious. GW2 runs on GW1 engine so they basically went from one rake field to another.

Edit: During the Snow Fractal I some how got stuck in the wall some how during the fight. I could still get hit by the Ice agony drops but could do nothing else.

Had this bug 2 times in my party. There is a small chance to get teleported in to the wall when boss teleports everyone to him. Kinda sucks when this happens right before boss dies because you can’t loot the chest lol.

You stand on the wall and then Archdiviner can’t melee you. The problem is most pugs are still kittened so even if they don’t die to the melee, they eat his aura blast. Also his pulling projectile still works.

It’s pretty much a fail proof way to melee Archdiviner if your party isn’t using an earth elemental or anchor guardian or chaining frost bow freezes. Which is the case for most PuGs.

It won’t be done on a meta group because you waste time running and climbing over to the broken pillar and hoping everyone drags the Archdiviner there, when instead you could frostbow freeze him and burst him down and aegis any melee swings that come after wards.

I can’t even. How common is that lol. Might as well go full nomad and do it faster by just facetanking.

Last time I checked this thread people tried to defend their point with books and movies. Now it is mountain climbing and golf.

There is a little bug/feature in win 10. When you change default browser you need to set it by default with browser popup and then in windows default app settings menu. Sometimes if you skip second part windows will get confused because chrome says that he is default but default browser in windows settings is still edge.

There is currently actually a lawsuit in progress in one of the high courts in our system dealing with gaming industry and their respective PR misrepresenting facts about their products as well as not disclosing paid for advertising practices. This lawsuit is pretty much an open and shut case and a forgone conclusion just naturally being stalled by gaming industry lawyers via appeals.

Once the verdict is reached it will have very wide effects on this type of behavior from the big gaming businesses as precedent will be set. There will be no more taking down such articles or at least, the entity forcing such a takedown will be held accountable for it and will have to pay appropriate damages, possibly make public apology statements etc. making it even worse for themselves in the long run.

Also, lets face it, this is the “interwebs” and I’m sure there are already archived copies of the article in question including on many public torrent sites far beyond reach of A-net for anyone to find.

But look at the world bosses in this game at level 80 and how long those fights last, then look at what raids are in every other game and you will have your likely answer. Raids = challenging fights with multi phases and not over short periods. Seriously if the fights are sub 3 minutes then Anet will not have bought raiding to GW2 but just extended dungeons

Raids have phases. Raids in gw2 will have long phase transitions where you need to split and do stuff. They will not be 3 minutes plus marathons more like a series of 1-2 minute sprints with huge dps burst at the end.

I noticed that zones I’ve completed are now only 98% complete. There are added things there but I’m not getting that 100% completion for those zones that I was before. An example is, Plains of Ashford now has 17 way points and 18 hearts.

I went back and found the new elements added but got no chest for completion. Is this a bug? Is this what was intended to happen, it feels like a chore now because I’m having to go to low level areas and complete mundane tasks with literally 0 reward other than map completion.

Works as intended. Chests are given only once.

And the exploit works with meteor shower aswell.

No one is linecasting in that video. It is https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Slow that messes with lupi skill animations and locks him in phase 1 for few more seconds.
I (and pretty much everyone) agree that linecasting is broken but it has little to no use in actual dungeons and fractals because of the additional problems it can cause.

Maybe you should have watched the video. Against bosses with medium to large hitboxes (which is around every boss in dungeons), linecasting Icebow and meteor shower results in around 10 times more burst than any class can do. so much in fact that when you do it, you can kill Lupi in under 11 seconds with your party. “small trick and almost useless” my kitten .
