Shouldn’t Tyria be holding celebrations for the veterans of the Guild Wars today?
So there’ll be no getting to experience Scarlet Briar again for the very first time?
Currently, the dungeon “owner” in the party is the player character who speaks to the NPC’s in the cutscenes (particularly in Story Mode).
When the change is implemented and there’s no more “owner”, which player character in the party will be the one speaking to the NPC’s in the cutscenes?
Though what kind of dark magic would/could be responsible if what was left of the gate (even if just the sparks) literally was spitting in the player’s face?
Tyrian dragon magic! Since this is Mordremoth’s the substance being spat is probably sap so it’ll be sticky. Pretty gross but good for the removal of unwanted facial hair. There’s a silver lining in everything, though Charr may want to watch out.
Hopefully there are extra-strength towelettes nearby.

Screaming plants (other than Sylvari).
A quest/mission in which all the plants on Tyria (trees, bushes, grass, kelp, etc.) all suddenly started screaming at once and you have to travel to all the corners of the globe to find out why, as well as how to stop it.
Edit:Don’t give me poop about the wall of text
Then for what other reason would you want us to give you poop?
Number 2 in the gw2 tittle represents you,you are number 2.Who is number one you might ask?
I’ve always played as a male human ranger in just about every fantasy-themed game (MMO or otherwise) I’ve ever played, and the GW series is no different.
In fact, my GW2 character is the direct descendant of my GW1 character and even has the same last name, not to mention the same profession.
The game’s music, of course. Never understood people not doing that, especially when videos get uploaded with trash metal or screamo in the background…
The music was made to fit the game, the music is a part of the game like the graphics and mechanics – experience it at its fullest.
Completely agreed!
In all my years of gaming, I’ve never played any outside music while playing games… ever.
Mad King Thorn?
Perhaps Blubloop and Oopdoop?
I don’t think he should be in the game.
Though I think the petition simply wants a marker or somesuch commemorating Robin Williams to be placed somewhere in the WoW in-game landscape, your idea of a Robin Williams-like NPC seems pretty interesting as well.
After all, WoW has (among others) an NPC named Haris Pilton.
1. The game isnt going anywhere. MMOs can survive (and even flourish) with miniscule numbers. So, the idea that the game will die (defined as losing developer support or disappearing altogether) anytime soon is a ridiculous premise.
Indeed. For example, Earth & Beyond (one of my favorite MMO’s of all-time) was inexplicably shut down a decade ago after only two years up. That game has literally been dead since.
GW2 is nowhere near that state.

Just as Gwen was the GW1 series’ transcendent figure, who is GW2’s?
Or is it still too early to tell?
Would the introduction of a GW2 darker night bring with it the introduction of a GW2 Dark Knight?
end of story.
Oh.
TESO also didn’t live up to the hype and became somewhat irrelevant, despite having a solid name behind it.
I’m not sure whether or not TESO lived up to the hype and I agree that it didn’t “kill” GW2, but it certainly didn’t become irrelevant either. I’m actually having a blast playing it.
While it may sound weird being able to enjoy two MMO’s simultaneously that have the same basic theme (in this case, fantasy), there seems to be enough different between GW2 and TESO for reasons I can’t quite put my finger on that allows me to enjoy them both. In fact, that may actually be a blessing for me, since if they were too similar to each other I may have found myself choosing only one while ditching the other.

It certainly is subjective and sometimes the better looking armor in one’s opinion isn’t necessarily one of the later-available ones as one would normally expect.
Case in point: my Human Ranger has worn the full Seeker Armor set from pretty early on since it looks the most “Rangery”, having transmuted stronger armor with it along the way but always keeping the Seeker Armor look. By the time he finally reached Level 80 recently, I was surprised to find that I ended up not preferring the looks of even the higher-level armor to the Seeker Armor, so that’s the look he still sports to this day (albeit now dyed brown and green rather than the previous all-brown for a more “Ranger” look).
hooman
Isn’t that how the Ferengi pronounce the word “human”?
If you roll a Human Character in GW2
Then that Human Character would likely stand up afterward and roll your GW2 Character.
It’s actually one more day until 2014 is half gone.
But in the Twilight Zone episode “The Rip Van Winkle Caper”, wasn’t gold revealed to be mass-manufactured in the future and thus not all that valuable anymore by that point?
Large Scale Fail?
Do you like to rhyme all the time?
The beginning steps of the establishment of a worldwide Quaggan Empire?
Dwarves and Quaggans.
In fact, perhaps the offspring of both (a bearded Quaggan?).
But running a dungeon for the 1000th time isn’t fun
And yet you’ve run it a thousand times, so it couldn’t have been completely unfun.
Another two isn’t going to kill you.
How do you know that?
and shouldn´t be retconned or “fixed” just to have a new playable race.
Definitely not retconned. What happened before definitely happened and shouldn’t be changed.
But there should somehow be some in-story, in-lore way to eventually reverse the effects of their stone (not stoned, which actually means something else entirely ) state. It shouldn’t be easy and it should take about a full Living Story cycle, which would make the final payoff that much more epic and enjoyable.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dwarf
The dwarves as a race have sacrificed themselves to fight the minions of Primordus to delay its return. They’ve been transformed physically into living stone and become mentally linked. I hope that a side effect of us killing Primordus will be freeing the dwarves from their bond and their return to the world (as playable characters).
That just screams out ‘living story’
Oh, heck yeah!
The epic year-long Living Story toward that would ultimately lead to the return of the Dwarves. It would be as much an emotional upper of an LS ending as the destruction of Lion’s Arch was an emotional downer of an LS ending.
Poor Ogden is likely very lonely, make sure to visit him and give him a hug!

I’d love to see the return of the Dwarves!
I pre-ordered TESO but now I don’t even feel like redeeming the key. I played a couple of hours in early access and that’s it. The game is just boring.
Actually, TESO is pretty good thus far.
I still love GW2 as well, of course.
No one is holding a gun to your head.
Actually, what if someone literally is?
It’s this year’s April Fool’s joke for GW2.
I remember the year in GW1 when our character(s) was changed to the opposite gender for April Fool’s. It was… interesting.
I understand that today’s bobblehead prank will just be for one day and I accept that. However, the irony for me is that after taking a break from the game for a week or two, I’ve recently felt that “GW2 kick” again and have been playing this game a lot the last two days.
Still feeling that kick, now is the worst time for me to have to stay away from the game for even a day, yet that’s exactly what I’m ending up having to do.
What if Bloomanoo and Peneloopee are the next ones to be corrupted by Mordremoth and they end up continuing the work that Scarlet had started, including re-uniting all the villainous groups that she originally did?
For some reason I initially misunderstood the thread title to mean that you want your GW2 characters to be able to walk around dressed like your GW1 characters, which made me wonder why you’d want the equivalent of a 2014 person walking around dressed like a 1764 person.
Speaking of Scarlet’s mental state: was what got her that way similar to what happened to the abducted guy in Torchwood after he stared into the heart of a dark star?
Great topic name, seriously
Isn’t Tequatl in America hitting theaters sometime soon?
Which animal(s) would a Quaggan Ranger use as a pet?
What kind of pets would a Quaggan Ranger have?
Hear hear, Burnfall!
This is Madness!
No, this is Sparta!
My very large friends
Too much fast food?
Scarlet will die in the first patch.
Will she be made into a salad afterward that the player can eat? And if that player happens to be a Sylvari, would that make him/her a cannibal?
The sudden planetwide emergence of the Quaggan Empire?
Would you really be upset if the content added was a bit more meaty
I’d actually be quite concerned if my beer was meaty.
