I just finished the Dragon’s Stand battle with Mordremoth in HoT (better late than never, I suppose), watched the ending cinematic… and then that was it. The mini-map showed four white squares implying that I had party members to speak to, but I couldn’t find them anywhere. Was I supposed to speak to them before leaving that map?
In any case, storywise, where do the Raids fit in? Should I do them before Living Story Season 3 or at any time during it? Or do the Raids not include any story/lore at all pertaining to LS S3 and Path of Fire?
and to answer your question, yes there most probably will be one :>
since there was one for HoT i see no reason why there wouldn’t be one for PoF.
I hope that you’re right.
Now that we know PoF’s launch date, would this launch party (if there is one) be held all throughout Thursday, September 21st and into Friday, September 22nd?
Why are you reading this?
Because I have yet to finish Heart of Thorns, much less Living Story Season 3.
Or would participating in the upcoming free Path of Fire Weekend contain spoilers for someone like me who still has yet to finish both Heart of Thorns and Living Story Season 3?
Anyone here know?
The one for HoT back in 2015, held live all day from ArenaNet HQ, was fun to watch and quite the event.
I don’t remember if she’s still there, but when Lyassa in Fort Salma cheerily sang:
“Chickens peck, and chickens munch,
Chickens cluck, and chickens crunch,
Chickens flap, and chickens croon,
Chicken’s on the table soon.”
When given the choice, definitely solo.
The Classical Glider.
Can you create nude armor skin?
In real life or in the game?
Whatever theme song the game provides.
I never bring in outside music into any game.
Divinity’s Reach or even surrounding Queensdale, the latter of which is perhaps the closest area GW2 has to GW1’s pre-Searing Ascalon.
When will this finally happen?
Also, how much closer would Tyria have gotten to a worldwide Quaggan Empire if a Quaggan had time-traveled back to GW1 (not to mention what the Quaggan would’ve looked like with GW1 graphics)?
Rangers could go out and find pets in the real world.
The ones in Texas, New York or Glasgow?
Didn’t Paris Hilton often say, “That’s HoT!”?
I quit about 1 year after official release
How come?
Where on Tyria will there be fireworks displays this coming weekend?
Thunder Slug, with the accompanying skill Thunder Slug Power Whisper.
I like the current GW2 Lion’s Arch. There was something about pre-Scarlet GW2 Lion’s Arch that just made me uneasy.
As for GW1 Lion’s Arch: though it was purported to be a capital city, it never really felt to be more than a glorified encampment. Granted, all the large buildings and such could be seen far off in the distance, but not ever being able to come close to them established a real feeling of disconnect to a major city feel.
By contrast, the large cities of GW2 – particularly Divinity’s Reach – truly feel like major cities!
The Righteous Harmonious Fists.
I voted “none of the above”.
Well of course, that wasn’t an option
But what if “None of the Above” was actually one of the naming options?
Destiny’s Edge: The Next Generation
Will the riot be quiet?
Bubble Glider? Really?
Would you have preferred a Bubble Wheelbarrow?
They’re clearly based on the English.
From their names and the myths they’re based on I would say they’re more Irish, Scottish and Welsh dryads/nymphs.
Not based on English mythology/folklore, but rather on the English themselves.
Oh wow, that’s a long holiday.
At least Wintersday will cover both Gregorian Christmas (December 25th) and Julian Christmas (January 7th, which is actually December 25th on the Julian Calendar).
I’ve been playing both GW2 and TESO (mainly PvE, since I’m not much of a PvPer) since just shortly after their launches and I still enjoy them both immensely!
Among the other positives listed here, I completely agree that TESO has the most straightforward crafting system.
In any case, both games also have the most beautiful graphics I’d ever seen in MMO’s and I’ve tried out a lot of MMO’s in my day (I’m old ), though I haven’t tried FF14 yet and heard that the graphics there are beautiful as well.
After having played some of the 14-day free trial for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, I can now officially list it alongside both GW2 and TESO:TU as the most beautiful MMO’s I’d ever seen.
And all three MMO’s run well on my PC with pretty high settings, to boot.
For what it’s worth, Guild Wars 2 was one of the runners-up for MMORPG.com’s 2015 Best MMO… which was won by The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
At least Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns won that same site’s 2015 Best DLC/Expansion (MMO category).
Congratulations to Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns!
Guild Wars 2 was also one of the runners-up for the same site’s 2015 Best MMO to eventual winner The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.

It is called Guld wars after all
It is?
make a minipet of me
Your character in the game or you in real life?
same thing can be said about caithe from before, or how the represent all sylvari out of game, they dont actually look that good lol
During development, the Sylvari initially looked less plant-like than they eventually became.
In this early pic, Caithe is in the one in the front right with the white hair:
Check out the Countdown to Launch live Twitch stream that started almost half an hour ago:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/countdown-to-launch-live/
Though to be fair, even for those of us living in the PDT (to be PST in a little over a week), 12:01 am Friday morning isn’t necessarily easy since many still need to go to either work or school later that day and thus will already be asleep by then.
Lore-wise, why will all of the GW2 Guild Halls only be located in the Maguuma Jungle? Have the previous Guild Halls all across Tyria crumbled over the years?
12:01 am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
there’s not as much pressure to be online right at 12:01 am PST
Or right at the actual release time, 12:01 am PDT.
It releases at 12:01am for me.
Hot vs Halloween
So it really comes down to:
Mordremoth vs Mad King Thorn
Who would win in that battle (assuming that they’d fight each other rather than ally with each other)?
and before yall open your mouths
What difference would it make whether or not we opened our mouths sitting in front of the keyboard?
So ive been busy and forgot to preorder HoT. Can i still preorder today or tomorrow???
Thanks in advance.
Yes you can. You can order any time.
Technically, it can only be preordered up until the end of this coming Thursday. After that, it can only be purchased.
Who/what would be GW2’s equivalent of The Grouch?
Still we’d need a new Pact commander.
Obviously, since you’d be promoted from Pact Commander to Pact Marshall.
Easy. Taimi would take over. She’s about as ill-fitting a leader as Treehearne, so not much would change.
Why would Taimi take over if your character is actually the one next in line to do so?
I liked Zojja, Agent Zrii, Agent Batanga, and Tybalt as characters.
Which one of them would be the most suited to replace your character as Commander if your character was promoted to Marshall?
… and you then get promoted from Commander to Marshall of the Pact to start dealing with the Pact’s day-to-day administrative minutiae, who would replace you as Commander of the Pact while still continuing his/her adventuring?
My other account.
I actually hadn’t thought of that. That’d be pretty cool for your main to be the Pact’s Marshall and for your primary alt to be the Pact’s Commander.
