The difficulty is fine, not everybody is a hardcore dungeon master. Maybe add a hard mode like dagrdagaz said. It’s a mission for everybody. Especially low lvl player, it’s not a dungeon.
As I see it all people are really upset about is the RNG. And they nitpick every other aspect because they have to beat the odds. If you don’t like range and want to make it known to anet, don’t buy the keys. If profit falls because of RNG, they will put the skins in the gem store.
BTW I loved Halloween. Awesome jumping puzzle? Awesome skins. And lets not forget the mad king getup that is still seen today.
This is not the first time anet put nice stuff in those black lion chests. If you don’t want to gamble don’t buy them. OP you just sound mad because you lost at the casino.
It cost 1 million because they sped up production, which cost a lot. Even my guild with 100 concurrent people online thinks that is a huge waste of resources to speed it up, so we’ll wait the 3 days.

Having spent $320 in the gem store on fluff I do not consider it a failure. That’s more than I’ve spent on any MMO to date. I get $ faster than gold in this game, so that’s what I use for character slots/bank slot/bag slot etc… I think I’ve used max $70 for gold.
The trick is to fill a bowl with m&ms and every time you kill a mob you eat one. Or put a bunch of different treats in little bags and grab a bag when you kill something, Ooo I got a good treat that time. Anet isn’t going to reward you, you have to do it yourself.
I haven’t played WoW, but I don’t want to see these raid come to GW2 if it promotes such attitudes. I understand, these are multi hour events and people don’t want to waste time. Time is not something we have a lot of these day.
As much as it pains me, I’ve started to sell the rings I get. I can’t dedicate more than 1 bank tab to them. I’d love to exchange all 30 of those for the 1 fractal skin I want. I do have a feeling that fractal armor will be coming at one point and hope to god I’ll be able to salvage the rings for shards/relics to obtain the armor. If armor does come along, they should be SB/AB, just like the current Dungeon armors.
I love the “4 Infused Rings into MF for a random Fractal skins” idea, but if it has the same RNG as the Precursors, no thanks.
The way it works now, rings are like bonus items for completing a Fractals daily. A extra reward on top of the things you get from the chest. It’s always rewarding. MF is not, you gamble and when you lose you lose and go away empty handed.
I would only need the precursor. Yet, I don’t really like the look of the Legendary GS’s, they look like mirrors for some reason. They don’t look solid. So, I’m holing off on making the 3de gift and looking at other options.
What’s the deal with people asking total strangers for money? And starting at 2 gold? Seriously? I nearly fell out of my chair, when this random stranger whispered me for 2 gold.
Is the situation so bad that people are begging for money now or are they just lazy?

OP, I’d say the Fractal weapons are the more exclusive weapons. You have to grind the RNG to get them, no other way around it. You can’t buy them and they should never enter the TP.
I’m in a PVE guild on Blackgate and we have plenty of people online when I play, last night we had 100+ online, just in our guild, which is higher than normal, we mostly have about 70~80 online at one time. We welcome new players almost daily and by new I mean people that have just got the game.
From a quick look most groups were in WvW, Fractals, AC, CoF, LA or the dragon events.
Please speak for yourself, who is this us? You do not speak for me. I’ve really enjoyed this event. It’s a great success for me. I have gotten 2 two mini’s i liked at 0 cost, and still have enough mats to make a third.
I’m sitting on 180 G atm, and I only play 3-4 hours a day. I’ve earned it at a slow but sure rate. Been playing since head start. I don’t buy gems for gold mind you. I’ve learned from the Halloween event not to spend $ on RNG. But this event i spent about $20, for the outfit and more bank space.
I like to extend my thanks to the people responsible for the background music. It’s spot on. It feels great, makes me smile and feel all warm inside. A job well done.

Winters day gifts, Humans would give you fashion, Charr would give you weapons, Norn would give you beer, Sylvari would give you a hug and/or a stab in the back, Asura will give you toys that go crazy and try to kill you.
Yeah this one is hands down Asura. Asura, cute, but oh no not really.
It would seem that the genius of Toymaker Tixx is so great that it can’t be comprehended by the lowly Asura.

I’m one of those people that goes out everyday (1~2 hours) to gather up materials, I sell most (makes 3 g a day), but I keep the mithril and wood to create rares, which I salvage for ecto’s. Even tough I can collect between 150~200 mithril a day, the amount need to create 250 eto’s is much more. It takes me so long, because I stop by almost every event.
I go out and “explore” to also get my daily so I don’t mind the current system. Yes Orr is annoying as kitten, but in full exotic armor/weapon/jewels (not magic find gear) I can take down groups of risen at a time. I does slow the process but I need the exp anyway. 200 SP for a bloodstone shard is no joke. Only 1 type of risen gives me problems and that is the one that throws purple orbs at you.
I used between150 ~ 200 obsidian shards to get 77 mystic clovers. I didn’t mind this gamble because, I never actually lost, I always got some nice t6 mats, more shards or lodestones(very rare)
I used the low yield recipe, about 5~10 tries per day, I don’t have any SP, so at the end of the day I used what SP I made that day. Currently need to gain karma again, only at 100k and 4 SP atm.
