and I’m finally able to get badges. Playing a ranged warrior (rifle) and I’m getting a lot more badges for just ranging people with a rifle. It’s fun taking out lv 80’s with my lv 6.
Playing my lv 6 warrior with no gear, no skills, no traits is a lot more fun than playing my lv 80 Guardian that has full exotics. Reason? I don’t instat die when I fight in the zerg.
My advice, for WvW, role warrior, you won’t regret it.
OP: I’d say it was a lv 80 Guardian with full exotic gear working on a 100% world completion.
What’s funny is that I was in a starter area at a DE boss and of the 5 people there, 4 where guardians. We are a popular class
Personally I get taken down fast in WvW.
So do I get a refund on the gold I spent on my GS and Sigil?
in Guardian

OP is not getting a refund for his Greatsword, but I am saving a LOT of money here. No more need to go for Sunrise/Twilight/Eternity because Greatsword is not a good weapon for Guardian anymore. Lucky I have not crafted it yet, or I would have ragequitted(Imagine crafting and soulbounding a Legendary Weapon that becomes auto-attack-only-useless weapon one week later)
Ah jeez, I just realized something. Do you know how many GS I’ve been gambling away at the forge. >.<
This is why I go backwards now 5,4,3,2,1. Is this the way new player should learn it?
It’s so… backwards. Oo
Wow Trungalung.7850, I really like that look. What skins did you use?
I agree with OP. Although the changes didn’t break the Guardian, I can still play it, it was indeed a significant nerf to my build. The symbol build.
If this was all about retaliation, just remove it from SoW. If they don’t want to change the mapping again, make SoW last longer. But I don’t think they will listen to us, they currently have bigger issues. It’s hard to balance things, so they might just stay, kitten it, let them get over it.
If they wanted to change the way retaliation worked, fine. But they should know that they kittened up other parts of the Guardian.

Guardian changes, why I am so upset. Question about the balancing process

I’m with you, was fine as it was.
If the changes are for PvP, make different skill sets.
Why!?! (MAJOR Order of Whispers Spoiler: do NOT read if you have not done the lvl 50 quest)

He does get mentioned again. The mission before Arah.
I still have to shake my head at that exchange, going the Priory route. :-/
I think all routes are tragic. Or I just made some really bad choices.
I lost a lot of people
Ban the people that buy gold from sellers. They are the cause of all the bots, hackers and spam. Because they are in game the sellers keep coming and coming.
Cure the problem and not the symptoms.
But I know why Anet is hesitant to do this, unforeseen consequences. I think they are in the best position to decide what to do.
So for that Guardian setip, Power/Toughness/Vitality armor is a no go?
My health is so low in Power/Toughness/Heal gear.
Gratz man, looks awesome on your Azura. Seems like I have one kitten of a road to travel.
Good luck in DB Kaine.3501 I’m sure you’ll be an asset to them.
I wish you lots of luck leading the DB zerg.
It’s Kaide….I used Kaine for the account name before I knew it was saved already.
Oh wow…
Good luck in DB Kaine.3501 I’m sure you’ll be an asset to them.
I wish you lots of luck leading the DB zerg.
OP. At lv 80 and in exotics, I’m currently trying to get the 100% on my character and have to go back to the different starter zones. Let me tell you, I feel like a god. I see other starter having to work to take down mobs, I just 2~3 hit them and it’s game over.
That’s just… >.>
Anet please make it so that transfers can’t play WvW for a week, they can do the rest, but just not WvW. After the first week they may do WvW.
You can become one if you find the transformation potion.
I Helped a Quaggan who was trapped on an island in the straits of devastation, after the DE you could buy a potion from him that turned you into a baby Quaggan.
Every night I only get about 4~5 hours to play. And every night I have to force myself to go to bed, because there is still so much stuff to do. I’ve hit 80 for a week now and I still have to finish my personal quest, wanted to do it yesterday but ran out of time. Been so busy with PvE that I hardly get to WvW with my guild. I still want to join the Vigil as a Charr sharpshooter, still want to play a Mesmer Norn, need to level my Asura ranger. Plenty to do still. at least for me. Not to mention making a legendary GS.
Well I went the same road and had a pretty kitten of a time. It just didn’t make any sense. I must have gone the bad ending route. Because for me the kitten happened again.
I love saying KITTEN meow
The middle armor you can get from the Karma Heart vendors in Orr.
Is there a great sword version?
Yeah everything was in German for a moment, seems to be ok now.
Wait, wait, wait, stop.
$600, – on GEMS? Oo?
Really?
My guardian has a lot of regen, but it is still challenging to play in Dungeons. You can’t just stand there and take hits.
Passive regen heals me for 125/sec
Symbol heals me for 175/sec
Hit with greatsword heals me for 20/hit
Dodge heals me for 950/dodge
Signet heals for around 8K ~ 9K
Bow summon has a huge cascade of 95 heals, but you have to be in the right spot.
This is with about 800~900 in healing
However, even with this much healing power I still need to switch out my healing jewelry for vitality jewelry in dungeons. Going in with 14K HP is not going to be good.
I’m currently changing out my Cleric gear for power/vitality and toughness gear to see how that works. But 44k karma per armor piece doesn’t come fast.
Why did Tonn have to die? Why?
It felt sooo forced. The Krait that attack the detonator were not hard to take out. When I’m asked to detonate the charges, I stood there for a couple of seconds. I knew, if I press that button I’m going to kill the poor guy. I stood and I stood and I push the button.
He’s not coming back? Duh, I blew him up.
First you take my mentor and now the little guy. Come one.
Next mission I’d like to be able to tell people, don’t get close to me, you’ll die.
Does anybody know what the lore says about Spirit Weapons?
Do they have a mind of their own or are they constructs which are controlled by the guardians mind.
Asura risen, so small, yet take so long to kill.
Logan.... (Spoiler, only read if you've done Twilight Arbor story mode)

SPOILERs from the books.
The one who save Ebonhawke was queen Jennah not Logan, he was going to die due to overwhelming dragon forces. She saved him by creating a Mesmer illusion of the Dragon. That made the minions go away. If not for her everybody would be dead, humans and freed Charr.
The ones who got the Humans and Charr to make a truce where queen Jenna and General Soulkeeper. You could say that Logan’s contribution was freeing the imprisoned Charr. But to him that was just the best thing to do at that moment. He did not really have anything to do with getting the Humans and Charr talking. If he didn’t need more men, he would just have let the Charr rot.
But if he stayed with Destinies Edge and Killed the Elder Dragon, wouldn’t that have been a more powerful message? But of course that was not to be, because you know, less content for the game itself. >.>

Didn’t like Logan from the trailer. Even after reading Destiny’s Edge I still didn’t like Logan. I understand Rytlock, he can be a good sport and a royal pain if you treat him bad. I liked Eir the most and then Snaff.
I play a human, mainly because of Dougal Keane from Ghosts of Ascalon.
Now that’s a a hero I like.
