They might be waiting to complete a full set of these weapons before they make it available. I don’t think they want a repeat of the SAB situation where only some weapons types had skins.
They also might decide not to make the weapons available to use, which would make me very very sad.
That would explain why I haven’t found any. I was in Maguuma clearing holos and after about the 7th projector, I gave up on trying to find the pirates since only the holos spawned.
I never looked at it that way. I agree, she could have stuck around.
The trigger that made her leave, wasn’t the private meeting. Although a big part of it. It was the very public fight they had during a council meeting, which was the last straw. I had assumed that the fight was right after the private meeting, but this way the events fit together.
I guess they had to work the events into the timeline somehow.
So, I finished the book last night (3:15am), well actually before going to work this morning (7:30am) and I’m a bit fuzzy on the details.
How many years were Cobiah and Isaye apart? I could have sworn I read either 4 or 6 years. But that has to be wrong if the child is his. He could also be making a bad age estimate because of traumatic circumstances with his sister. I’m a bit confused why he didn’t think that the child was his. I get that he’s still hurt and still in love and thinking up all kind of things to see Isaye in a bad light. What I don’t get is that he doesn’t consider that the child could be his. (I might have missed that :S)
I might have to reread ACT 4 for more slowly.

The last part is not hard, just long. The first boss, third phase was hard for my group, wiped 4 time before we figured out what to do.
2 Guards, 1 War, 1 Ele and 1 Ranger. Just a pug group of guildies and 1 random. Never played with any of them before. That being said, once is enough, I’ll leave this dungeon for those that like a challenge.
This event last until the 9th right? Burning 1 or 2 effigies a day is that hard?
But yeah, they should have put 1 in LA for easy access and for those outside they could have made them a little more engaging. For example, every time you light 1 mobs pop out. But I guess people would just activate and run. Which would cause other groups of people to complain.
They ran every 2 hours, at “dawn” on the server time (which most likely didn’t match your local time) and lasted for 5-10 min. You knew it was close (<30min) when the sky was pitch black, the rest of the time it was an orange-ish color.
So there was a 5-10 minute window every 2 hours over 2-3 days to stand in a city to get this achievement and if you played all weekend but didn’t sit in Lion’s Arch during that magical 5-10 minute window you miss out? Brilliant game design right there. Totally engaging. I can see how this is so innovative and changing the face of the MMO genre.
You know, it pays to have friends and guilds to keep track of this.

OP, I’m in the same boat. I’ve played about 1600+ and at the start of the Dragon Bash event I decided to take a break and play another game. Even the free pets couldn’t keep me. Spent $20,- on coffers so I paid for the content already, but whatever. This is my second break, first one was in January, which only lasted a week. This one will be a lot longer. After spending $400+ on gems I still got more entertainment out of those 1600 hours. So it’s not a waste. (who said buy to play was cheap XD)
But it’s time to plays those other games that have piled up on steam. Might be back though. Enjoying excellent storytelling and atmosphere in none MMO game atm.
I for one don’t really like the weapons, they are beautiful but I like my metal blades, it would be nice if you could trade the token for the mini. As the token is more rare than the mini.
Master Tuning Crystals, Master Maintenance Oil, and Superior Sharpening Stone recipes now take more Piles of Crystalline Dust to craft. This change is to help these consumables maintain a high value with the new influx of dust.
If you talk with different NPC’s you’ll get bits and pieces of the “Story”. But the events leading to Canach could have been a bit better. Yes I got the event letters, but I didn’t really read it. :S
1. Thief Norn, I lvled to 43 with a sword/pistol, took long to kill stuff. Dredge ugh.
2. Ele Asura, I lvled to 46 with d/d and staff, d/d is strong but a lot of work.
The thief currently has a desk job at the order of whispers.
Anet could have made a killing with tasteful/cute swimwear in the gem store, they didn’t have to go sexy if they are afraid of the unforeseen consequences. It seems that armor skins are harder to make than weapon skins. I don’t know how they make them but they might have to account for all kinds of “size” variances.
I would suggest people go back to the first page of this thread and see all the negative comments about BG. They were behind in the weekend so people poked fun at them. And now that they are ahead we get another bunch of negative comments.
For a long time I didn’t want do to new AC, mostly because of the posts on this forum. But this last weekend I was forced to get 180 (3 runs) because I wanted a piece of armor.
From what I have seen, AC is not hard, it’s only when people try to glitch or speed run that they fail and cause all kinds of cluster kittens. Just run it as intended and it will be fine. The spider queen is easy, kill adds, kill fire traps, queen spawns, kill few adds, keep out of red circles, stun break. DPS down low health Queen. easy.
I like heavy armor that covers every bit of the body. A mix of metal and cloth is nice as it give the image of mobility. I do not like over sexualized armor, chain bikini arh… I won’t use it, but I’ll tolerate it. But heavy armor can be sexy too. But what I would really like, is the ability to color the details of armor pieces. The current color slots are lacking.
This is how I think about it. Everyday I gather.
45 ori x 3.2 silver =1.44 gold and 250 mit x 43copper = 1.07 gold
That’s 2.5 gold a day, only from selling ore, not the mention the orbs/crystals you find.
ROI (really ROI? In a game?) is 10 days or less if you put your back into it.
This calculation just doesnt make sense. You could still make your 2.5 gold / day (well, less half an orichalcum and 2,5 mithril picks, which total 6 silver) without having to buy a 20-25g unlimited mining pick. So, what you are actually saving by buying the pick is only 6s / day… not 2.5g / day.
So, in your case (which I think its an exception – gathering basically every orichalcum node on the world + 83 mithril nodes every day) it would take you almost one year (more considering the actual gems price) to compensate your expenses.
So it cost me 25G, I make that back in 10 day (to compensate my expenses) and now have a cool item. It’s not that hard to understand. Well I guess I’m not talking about ROI, because I’m not doing an investment for max gains, I’m getting a cool item.

I love resource gathering, I love going around lvl 80 maps and gathering up stuff, so it’s totally worth it for me. But seriously, it’s a cool looking item. That alone should warrant the 800 gems purchase. I would encourage Anet to release the sickle, axe and salvage kit.
