Is it that hard to make females look like armored knights? Oh my god Anet why would you do that?
When it comes to armor they either mess up the male version or the female version.
/sigh
Reasons for leaving:
1. New LS content with no substance, too much sub par suff. Zephyrium was cool, the rest not so much.
2. Grind wars 2 or Farm wars 2. It’s optional, but it’s the only thing left to do. So for me there is no content left. We are not hero’s we are farmers.
3. Bosses have too much HP. I mean if there was a combination of things or condition you could do to take down the HP faster sure that would be cool. But now it’s just hack away at million HP.
4. Camera.
How to get me back:
1. Fix the Camera.
2. New lands, new map content. Anet should have thought out map completion better if this is holding them back.
3. Progress the story to other dragons, it’s already been a year.
4. Epic boss fights. Not HP x millions.
I very much understand where the OP is coming from. The internal metrics won’t lie.
I’m sure the Tequal event metrics will show that it was being killed every spawn on every server, to once or 2 or 3 times a day on one or two servers. This is a step backwards instead of forwards. Because instead of generating new content to attract more players Anet has alienated a large portion of players. Sure some people in Tequal guilds will do it, but that’s far less than the people that were doing it before. Anet wants people to play, if less people play because of a change it’s a step backwards. To be honest it’s a failure.
Solution? Tequal hard mode instance, but because it seems too typical MMO like, Anet will not do this. The real solution is to have left Tequal as is and create a new land where there is an event like Tequal v2. You might sell recycling old content as new content, but it isn’t. You don’t take away from the current state, you add more content.
You add and add and add. No map space? Go underground, go in the air, go into the sea.

They should basically revert Tequatl back to how it was, but add the new version as a “guild raid”, which you can enter like a “guild rush” or “guild puzzle”.
This is a very good idea.
At day 1 people were saying that this would happen and guess what? It happened.
But I guess Anet is just going to say: You guys wanted harder content right? We gave you what you wanted.

Also incoming Legendary gear. Better start farming or buy gems.
What is funny is that I see multiple people say. I spend (a lot of) money on gems but don’t like the way the game is going now so might stop playing / spengin money.. The way the game is going now is strongly linked to the gem-store as its being build around the whole idea of how to get people to buy gems. And indeed thats not good for the game.
So basically buy spending so much money you guys made the game go in the direction it is going now. Hopefully you learned your lesson. There is no bad thing in giving money however, better do that for expansions so you know the game will go in the correct direction in stead of spending it on a cash-shop resulting in a game focusing itself around that with all negative side-effects that come with it.
For your information, I stopped spending when the content was not to my liking, I haven’t spent anything for the last 2-3 moths or so, since Zephyr Sanctum.
The community is self correcting imo. What I mean is that if people don’t like the content that is being released every update, they will go away until only those that like the content remain.
I don’t understand why people play a game if they are not having fun. Sure you can complain about something that is just released, but if you haven’t enjoyed the content for 3 or 4 updates why stay? If people stay to complain, that it’s not Anets fault, but the players.

> Star wars 3rd.
And it deserves it. You’re probably thinking of The Old Republic, the mmo that came out a few years ago. They’re talking about the original Knights of the Old Republic, one of the best rpgs to date.
Second this, the original Knights of the Old Republic (single player RPG) is one of the best. It’s sad that they don’t make them like they used to.
OP: I come back every 2 weeks to check out the LS (or update), but I leave soon after. Last update I liked was the Zephyr Sanctum . Queen’s Jenna’s Party and Overflow Teq, not so much.
Hopefully the Mad King will have some fun things to do.

Spent about $60 a month, $700+ so far, not anymore though. I was shocked when I finally looked at the total over a year.
So you like the wow/everquest endless treadmill?

Mind = blown
Although, at some point humans get immune to this kind of reward system. Happened to me
This is why some writers blasted <blackedout/> when <blackedout/> introduced a new “achievement” system a couple of years ago. These are rewards tied to performing random pointless tasks, over and over again (such as, fishing until you catch a thousand fish). No new content, no element of practice, or discovery, or mastery was included. Just a virtual treadmill.
Of course, game developers (and various commenters, I’m sure) would correctly point out that nobody is making the players do it. Why would humans voluntarily put themselves in laboratory hamster mode? Well, it’s all about…

Kittens, I need to come out of retirement to save mr. smarty pants.
Bird nest helmet. I want it, I need it.

I game to relax
I game to destress
I game for fun
I’m not the target audience I guess.
December = Tixx’s Infinirarium + Scarlet
This would fit, the toys go crazy because scarlet put a virus into them or something.
Trixx: But but… I worked out the bugs this time. /cry
I also work in Software development for Insurance, but as an external consultant. I’ve been working for the same Insurance company for 6 year now. We have teams that do the work. Normal 40 ~ 50 hours work weeks + time putting stuff in production at service hours (10 pm +) or in the weekends/Sunday night.
If you are working 80-120 work weeks, your quality will suffer greatly.

It’s so strange. If you fall into the “play every day” trap, you just accept it, and mind-numbingly do it without thought. If you take a few days off and come back…you realize that what you’re doing in the game is not playing, it’s just doing repeatative tasks over and over.
This, so very much this. I took a month off, came back and I see a lot of recycled stuff and a lot of repetition. Come one Anet, give us new land to explore.

Trahearne is The Son, The Father, and the Holy Salad.
Oh wow lol that’s a good one.
Scarlet: What’s the matter, don’t you like me? aww c’mon give me a chaunce. ;p
Scarlet: Die die die DiE die die die die die
I think Scarlet is high off the mushroom growing out of her ears.
This content seems to be an anti-zerg trainer but not everyone is tuned in yet.
That is only true if you want to finish the invasion. If you want to farm the invasion and don’t care about completion, zerging is the way to go. More mobs, more champions and lot more loot. Got a couple of champion skins from zerging 2 invasions.
That being said, I also when for completion in some invasions and I’ve finished Molten and Aetherblade events with as few as 3 people, including myself.
Kitten, did twilight go crazy again?
I’d have to check through old content, but I’m pretty sure we’ve had ambient NPCs referring to some cities with nicknames since launch. I understand why it might sound jarring to some, but we’re experimenting with dialog to make it sound a little more natural.
That would be Lord Faren in a conversation with Lady Kasmeer . What he said was something like: “Back in old DR <something, something>”. I was during the Southsun Cove event.
She’s more like a crime lord who wants to show her dominance. Some people just want to watch the world burn.
That’s a nice sentiment, until you’re the one that is set on fire.
Just keep ready, I won’t spoil it for you.
At least I got the meta+2, I say good bye to the Queen’s Gauntlet forever.
I honestly wish the camera was outside where the spectators are, but that would make the fight far too easy. You’d know where everything was.
/sarcasm

I’m with Nilkemia.
This game has turned into a farming game or has it been like that all along and I just haven’t seen it? At some point I ask myself, what is the point? Is it that hard to create more solid story? It’s like you get 5 min of story every 2 weeks. Come one Arena net, I’m an adventure, I want to explore new lands, delve into the depths. Not kill the same monster/champion/zone boss for the 100th time.
I swung a great sword, again and again and again.
I’ll give you this, I know how to beat her, but my reflexes are not what they used to be. I play a guard as my name suggests and in this fight there are 2 ways to save yourself from dead in part 2. Focus 5 and the elite skill Renewed Focus. Usually when I die I used them too late or not at all, this could be because of my slow reaction or misjudging the distance to clear the red circles with a dodge. So I dodge, but I should have used one of those skills. Also noticing the shadows too late does me in a lot of times. I could say the camera is bad, but I’ll just add that as part of the difficulty. In the end it is what it is. Knowing the mechanics of the fight and actually clearing it are two different things.
A friend of mine couldn’t beat her with his Mesmer so he craft lvled a warrior to zerk her down. It took him a couple of attempts but in the end he did it. I could try the same, but I I’m not that hardcore.
I give up. I find the first part very easy, second part always gets me. After trying over 70 times, this is not for me.
Leaving GW2 on the 27th, so it’s just as well. Don’t even care about getting my birthday gift at the end of this month.
(edited by Tower Guard.5263)
Poor Logan, he has become the comic relief character of GW2, the quaggans try hard, but Logan takes first place.
Friendszoned, fast legs Logan.
For some reason the thread reminded me of this…….
The Gundam and DBZ love child, still need to watch that one.
I almost have 8k AP. Does that make me a good dungeon/fractal runner? No, because I stopped doing them a long time ago. I have been playing for a year and I’m not really interested in dungeons anymore. I used to run Fractals at least 2 times a day for 2 months, after getting all the skins I wanted I stopped. If I decide to run them again for the new fractal, you can bet I’ll jump in at 18 ~ 24 instead of 38 ~ 44. I’m practically a noob again
Just my 2 cents.
I think that by attacking DR they will only strengthen the ties between the different races. Human and Charr fighting together to survive? Nothing breeds a better friendship.
Looking at the story every champion and hero is currently in DR, so they’ll probably protect everybody. Scarlet will take over the clockwork robots and cause them to attack people, which is already extremely disappointed. (boring plot) The Azura already do this, live side by side with giant death robots that periodically malfunction. I really hope I’m wrong.
If it’s some kind of time attack where they try to warp the city into some alternate state, I will be blown away.
To Scarlet,
I heard Sylvari taste nice.
Sincerely,
Vegetarian society of exotic foods.
I’m really starting to like Rox.
Faren is such a ….. <face palm>
It was great to see the queen actually fight.
(edited by Tower Guard.5263)
So there is another one. Greatsword named Cobalt!
That’s an epic looking ebon blade.
And I’m going on vacation in 2 day, I hope I don’t come back to nerf city.
sigh… only time will tell.
That’s democracy for you.
Good to see that 58g didn’t go to waste. Gratz TeamKiel.
If I can wait 15min for SB, what is 2 min?
2 mins if no one is in front of you. Just saying.
We should just wait and see before jumping to conclusions, it might no be so bad after a while.
If I can wait 15min for SB, what is 2 min?
From now on, whenever I see COF, I’ll think of Charr On Fire.
Just saying, can’t unsee. I personally have nothing against Charr, the iron legions is pretty cool.
I’ve done enough fractals for a lifetime. After getting my 8 skins and two bank tabs of rings(sold 1 tab to make space). I don’t see the point of fractals anymore, it’s just grind for very little reward. Was willing to grind for the skins but after that it falls flat. I didn’t even do the fractal or dungeons for the achievement.
So why did I vote Kiel? Not for the way points, I have 300G and a legendary, gold is useless at this point. I use $ for the gem store. I finally came to the decision to vote Kiel because people call her Kormir v3 and Kormir is my chosen god.
Lady Kasmeer will ask Logan to marry her, he will except and Queen will get jealous and sad and cry in the players arms. Afterward the player gets to wash her feet.
Ouch op, that must have hurt, 1750 Kiel votes nearly broke my arm.
(edited by Tower Guard.5263)
Evon supporters should buy more votes with $$$$ or keep on grinding. That’s all Anet wants. But I guess Ellen supporters will do the same. So it’s even more win for Anet.
I don’t think they care who wins, it’s all about getting people to spend more bucks and to log more play time.
(edited by Tower Guard.5263)
Not criticising anyone’s buying decisions but those of you who spend hundreds of dollars, $300-600+, what are you buying with all that? I’m not sure I’d find enough stuff worth purchasing in the gemstore to spend that amount if I tried. I’m just curious.
Inventory and banks space, skins/stuff in the gems store, minis, at least $150 on RNG boxes and BL keys and about $100 ~ $150 to buy gold. It when really fast. Been here since head start.
Kitten that RNG =S
(edited by Tower Guard.5263)
I actually checked and tabulated all the gem mails.
$690 gem store + $69 (i think) for collectors edition.
Yeah I fail…. Was it worth it, I don’t know, cause I’m shocked at the number.
