I did this a couple of times but got reported and flamed to hell from my teammates. I remember one particular game where its was 400 to 150 in our favour and one from the other team dcd (he had lags before, I could see it, so i guess no rage quit), I stopped playing and we actually lost the game.
There are no words to descripe the heat i got!

I would even go this far and say, just remove those skills with passive procs (at least invuls and conditemoves). I usually use the normal skill timers to look after the icd, but sure i missjudge the cd sometimes.

Considering onyl your first post, thats what the alogrithm does (despite that hightier-lowtier bug). The example you quote was an answer to a post before where it was a boundary condition to get those exact playsers into one match. The only question was how to distribute them.
Of course the algorithm tries to mix players with similar mmr. Thats why they fix this bug that caused to break this rule.
No, the mf is impotant at opening, not at getting the loot bags. The bag is a simple item that activates a randomfunction taht creates the loot when opening it.
The original idea is from all those bags you can sell, so you couldnt sell your low mf bags.
I dont know any of those crashes you are talking about. What does happen ist, that some players dont ready up and the system has to make a new match. It can feel like a crash as you cannot mouse click and wait and suddenly the popup disappears and you are back to qeue. But thats a players problem and to me it happens not often, maybe every 15th to 20th match.
Faster matchmaking would make matches even worse. Starcraft has a faster matchup because there are more players.
Try to play thief w/o vamp runes vs actually organized teams with mesmer that is not drooling on keyboard.
As it is forbidden at turnaments at the moment, I did. Yes, it is harder and the reason i dont use it at ranked is to get used to it, because I got used to res inside shadow refuge until it pops and continue during the mist form (just one example). But nevertheless, if nobody can play it, thief is still playable. Sure, if the opponent uses it and I dont, the opponent has the stronger build. We dont need to discuss about the current state of the thief, I think we will all agree on that point. Also I totally agree the rune is very helpfull, esp for thiefs.
But still i stand by my point, that I would prefer pvp without vamprune even if playing thief.
I stopped using it for 3 days now without having those problems. You got enough stundbreakers and stuff to survice. Although it is a very helpfull thing on thief, sadly.

It is time to get this rune out of pvp. I most times play thief and I myself use it, but its another passive proc that destroys the game. If you watch the latest esl matches, where vamp is banned, its much better. If ppl die to much without vamprune, than there is to much damage in game (since the big trait patch I have the feeling that its slightly to much).
Get vamprune out of pvp, so that esl and academy and everything else dont need to ban it!

I played in both, esl (Go4 and weekly)before and academy gaming yesterday. We lost against the winning team.
I can assure you there is a difference between the good esl teams and the teams fighting at academy yesterday. So i guess, everything is fine there. There are a few teams with potential for midtier, but all (us included) need more practise, some even a roster change, to actually be able to compete against the big names from midtier.

I actually know quite a lot of players using Hide in Shadows in both, pve and pvp.
Especially in pve withdraw is not good in many situations, as you leave the point of stacking. Running pve u usually even use the sigil.
In pvp its more commen to use withdraw, but a lot of players prefer the hide one while using sword. I dont think we need a new heal skill, its fine.

Invis is good for the game. It gets groups to think about the roations and keep an eye open for players rotating out of fights. I really like it at full premade teams, when there are a lot of pontential rotations. If you get 100-0 out of stealth, you do sth wrong. That doesnt even happen to me if I play a zerker thief (altough this build is not to good, but sometimes fun), not by other thiefs, not by mesmers.
There are lot of stealth counterplays. There are even reveal mechanisms like Analyze at engineers, also there is a reveal buff, so nobody can perma stealth in fight. Also it is not true that you reset a fight by going stealth. A war or ranger, elementalist or engineer can all rotate out of fights and reset them without using stealth, so why souldnt thief and mesmer be able to?. If you can’t handle a black powder field i feel bad for you. It’s a high initiative skill that has slow pulses and a very small radius. If a thief hardseakers you and gets around, stealthes and backstabs you, you clearly kittened up your movement, but you are still alive. If a thief makes such a mistake, he is clearly dead. Thiefs are a lot, but surely not overpowered. Even if you are a “dragon”, you seem to have a lot of problems in term of game mechanisms. Btw, i went from rabbit to dragon in 7 weeks without the use of rank farming servers, so thats really nothing.
If you run around in hotjoin hunting down thiefs because they make you “sick in real life” I suggest getting some help. And truely, I dont play a lot of hotjoin, but I do hope we meet some day. XD

In the first vid, i only see a lot of badly times skills, a player using autoprocs (vamp rune) that he doesnt take into account any time, a lot of luck and very bad opponents that wont use a stunbraker to get out of your big chain that killed them and also dont use blinding ashes in any good way. Also using updraft but not do anything about it, when it hit. The second one you needed to rampage xD
Its not bad play and as someone who rarly plays war i’d say you are better than me playing war, but also nothing great to brag about.

If the timer goes above the average time you get a message that says you have been removed from the queue and must queue again which resets the timer. so i’m calling faked.

Where do you have this from? I nearly always wait about 8 mins, which is higher than average for sure. Altough waiting half an hour is really high, we dont even need that long going as a full group.
No thank you. This pinging is already to much animation for me. If you dont recognize it, it is a lack of gameplay. I also really dislike the minimap pings with targets, which is quite new and nervwrecking.
What i dislike even more is people looking at the builds of the other team before the match. It is common to do so, dont tell me anything else.

Those leages will have the same problem. Also I suspect that its easier to climb up by playing than by skill, thats what every gw2 ranking system worked like yet. If you want players only on your leage, you will have to wait for a very long time, or you fill the teams up with ppl higher and lower than you, than we basicaly got the same problem again.
I agree on the wvw part, i used to do a lot of wvw too. A lot of those players just focus on the group but fail if it comes down to less than 10 players.

Indeed. I totaly agree. If you cannot handle those classes, you are to weak. If you just quit, you are the worst teammate one can have and you should not be allowed to play.

You get ganked at duel servers, ok. So why is this Anets fault? Those servers dont use mmr and are privat. It doesnt matter if they are f2p or top of the game, you will get them as a opponent.
The system is perfectly fair and functional. The things people can complain about is mind boggling. Go to China.
Perhaps you should go to China. I have played enough skyhammers and courtyards when they were the least voted maps, the system is bullkitten like almost everything in this game.

Will anet ever made a decent matchmaking system? 5 pugs going agaisnt premades every game is not fun.. losing 500-100 almost every match cause of premades and people on my team not wanting to listen..
If you look into this forum, there is every single day a post about this. Matchmaking is broken, but also because of the comunity. We are to small. I dont want to wait longer than i do now, my average 8 minutes are simply enough.
Honestly, if there is an simple solution to fix this, give Anet the algorithm. It’s not that they are idiots. There are a lot of puplifications about stuff that can be used for matchmaking, but still there is no good solution. Starting at the point how the mmr is build. The system cannot judge how good you are as a player but only look at some significant statistics from the game and therefore change your mmr.
I also have problems with the current matchmaking, yes. But, and this is a big but, it will only change if we get more players into pvp. As long there are still only a few hundred active players, nothing will change.
And by the way, “not wanting to listen”, those players are aids, telling everybody what to do. And looking at many of my matches these are those "dont run far " players and stuff like “only play two points”, “why didnt you kill Svanir at beginning”. Typical beginner tactics. That is not how you win and not how you make a team work by comanding everybody what to do, unless you agreed about this. You also cannot get enough game information to tell ppl what todo without all of you beeing at the same ts.

If you have the feeling it is like that, that is why statistics dont work with small numbers. Quite simple, get over it! The votes give the exact probability of this map beeing played.

Honestly, i did not have a single f2p player in my team yet, only a firend of mine whichi qeued with together. Altough I play a lot of matches on a daily basis.
But I got the feeling, that matchmaking got worse the last few weeks. Really looking forward for the leagues.

There also might be some bug with the attack you port all over the place. I was attacked by it playing mesmer and used my portal from mid to close. The rev also portated to close and continued the attack. I dont think is supposed to be able to follow me there.

Well, ppl seem to have a lot of problems using the new skills. Had a lot of opponents yesterday that summond a lot of stuff but totally forgot about timing and positioning, which is imo more important in small accounters. I am really interested how this will work out after ppl had time to learn it. I think, it might get a bit overpowered.

The guardian can change whole fights in downstate. Number 2 pushes back the whole team, other classes like war, engi, nec and rev can only intterupt 1 opponent. Stability also works against all of them. The skills where you port or mist away are a bit different there, but if you go into mistform or port, ppl also cant rez you or banner you. I did see quite a few decaps because of guardian number 2. Copare it to mesmer, he gets portetd and stealthed, but cant decide where. And if two players stomp you starting the stomp at different times you get hit any way.
Number two is surely in the upper third of the skills, talking about pvp.
Number 3 is even better. You can damage and rez at the same time, and also — very very important — heal ppl that are trying to get you up in cleve damage. Also the pulses help to get rid of blinds to use skill number 2 at the right time.
If there is any need to balance this (its just a very small part of gameplay and imo can get adjusted by skills outside the downstate) guardian is dooing quite well.
Did you every play all classes frequently and with good teams??
I dont see much hacking and very few bots in pvp. I sometimes think ppl are using makros for dodgejumping, but i dont see any way without seeing the exact skill timings to be sure about it. I never had any damage outputs that were twice as high as they should be. I have the damagelog chat active in a second chat tab and every time i thought sth was wrong i couldnt find any evidence at all. I also guess that the damage is calculated by the server and not the client, which makes it hard to change.
I personally got reported for cheating many times without using a cheat or makro ever. Sadly ppl often think either my damage is to high or my dodges are automaticly triggered, which is bs. So i really dont give to much about ppl complaining about this many cheaters. Btw, a hacker will do sth different, they are most likely cheaters, no hackers.
I have seen cheaters, but on really rare occasions, nothing around 10 matches.
Yeah, it feels exactly like the wvw delays.
Have the same problem from time to time. Especially Heart Seeker is very delaid some times although the other skills run fin. It’s hard to stealth in time this way….
Of course it makes a difference. After moving some time ago my ping went up 30ms, and I feel the difference.
Even if you got casting times of about 10 seconds, it is much harder to react. Btw, imo the most important of all skills has no casting time, the dodge.
It’s not a big difference, but it can change from dodged to just missed the dofge within these few ms. Quize easy to predict the statistics there. No big difference, bit a difference.

If you position it good you most likely get no problems getting around most cleaving, plus -25% damage in stealth and its big enough to dodge inside to not get kicked out. The bug is a problem, the mechanics are not. You got enough different ways to stealth.

I noticed this issue too, but it seems to appear randomly. As I couldnt repeat it, I thought I made some movement I didnt realise. It’s kind of an relief, you noticed this too! My teammates did hear me couple of times these days, how I got randomly revealed and I didnt understand this. xD
I dont think there is any way to get a specific amount of skilllevelpoints from an automatic analysis that fits the actual skill level.
On the other hand, I would be interested in my own mmr (just beeing curious)
Again I cant agree. The weakest 1v1 class? I play quite often on 1v1 servers. Either my skill is veery high (which i doubt) or the thief works 1v1. Sure, its hard to kill a good dps-guardian or a well played cele-ele, necros on full ds are also quite hard. There is not only stealth but also a lot of interrupts and blinds. If sb. knows to play a thief, he is as good at 1v1 as other classes.
Thiefs that can only survivie because of stealth are not good thiefs, quite simple.
