I don’t really care, I just desperately want to see personal and guild rankings in WvWvW because it is totally pointless to join at the moment.
Oh and, well, I’d like to see other new features like character recreation.
But we will have at least new skins, items, level cap, maybe skills and traits, quests, events.
“Alright, I log off when I get that Vista.”
“Oh, I’m about to level up, let’s get this done as well.”
“Hmmm, I have a new instance same level as me, let me do that real quick and I’m off to sleep.”
“A heart quest nearby, alright this will be the last for tonight.”
.

.
I hate this game.
Here are your alternatives: Kabal Online, Knight Online, Silkroad Online, World of Warcraft, Metin 2 asdfasdystdfuysd I’m sorry I can’t finish this list but you got the idea
There is a game you like so much and you hear that there will be a second game, you automatically start thinking new game will be exactly the old game with better graphics, and then you buy the new game, play it, don’t like it because it is not the old game but the new game.
Dude, stop that okay?
Where is the joke about Usain Bolt and Logan?
Strange…Some people are unhappy with the situation that the servers either have high population or are full. Guys, this is something you should be happy with, unless you’re haters.
Nonetheless, I haven’t logged into my level 80 character for a week now. Leveling my alt which is level 40 at the moment.
- What kind of continents/areas would you like to explore in expansions?
I’d like to travel to the heart of Orr, the center of the current map but I’d hope that ANet comes up with a better design this time, since the current design is nothing different than other maps. Orr should be special, different.
- Would you like to play new races in expansions? (if yes: which ones?)
Skritt, Kodan and Quaggan. Not sure if I’d play as one but I’d like to see players playing as them.
- What could be the final bosses of expansions?
Jormag maybe. Or the other, branded one, I can’t really type its name correctly haha. But this time, it shouldn’t be a cheap fight like the one with Zhaitan.
- Should they add more levels? (ex: maximum 100)
Definitely. Not only more levels but more skins, more item qualities, more skills, more trait lines maybe, more features like personal and guild rankings in WvWvW, new armor sets buyable with ranking points -man I write this everywhere- etc
- What kind of dungeons would you like to explore in expansions? (ex: UW)
Interactive ones. For example, there could be a stage at a dungeon which is like, walls start crumbling and you try getting to safety. Stuff like this would be much more fun than just trying to kill regular mobs that just have more hp and more attack power than other regular pve mobs.
And of course, I’d like to see more endgame events!
It is now WvWvW and dungeons but WvWvW is useless, dungeons are boring. These should get fixed and new endgame content should be added.
man I miss mana lol. it sucked when you run out of potions and money to buy potions but still, GW2 made me miss traditional mmo structure.
You people should learn this:
1. MMORPG has a competitive player base. Therefore, most of the players are hardcores.
2. In MMORPG, fun = victory&success. People enjoy getting high level items, not solving jumping puzzles.
3. No progression = no fun. You might enjoy watching the ocean in GW2 but for many of the players out there, it is pointless because this is a game.
So if I get the top tier items in a week, that means I’m done with that game in a week. That’s actually what happened to GW2.
There is absolutely zero reason to participate in WvWvW.
Nobody really needs those silly buffs and badges. Such a terrible idea and design.
I’m happy, just bored because I wish crafting a legendary was a real deal since I have nothing left to achieve in the game but a legendary weapon.
Bad news is, I’m not the only one: http://beta.xfire.com/games/gw2
Most of the players are done with their main character and since there is no nice endgame to encourage you for leveling an alternative character, nobody really wants to play anymore.
It’s not about the stats, it’s about the prestige.
Nobody gives a care about legendary weapons except for fanboys, because there are already exotic items which have same stats and sometimes better skin.
I’ve done everything possible in this game with my main character, except for crafting a legendary. Now I have a 24 level mesmer as my alternative, I’m still getting bored. I think I’ll make it 80 too but then, I’m totally done with this game until the next content update.
Seriously, this game is dead boring once you hit 80.
-Reaching level 80 takes a week;
-100% world completion takes a week;Lmao… You know, most people actually have lives right? If you reached 80 in a week, let alone 100% world completion, you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what your life’s purpose even is.
MMORPG is a kind that has a player base consists of mostly hardcore players. Harcore players play at least about 6 hours a day and GW2 has lots of hardcore players. 6 hours a day is enough to reach level 80, along with 100% world completion in a week.
You can ask people what the purpose of their lives is, but ANet can’t.
Blizzard is well aware that MMORPG players are mostly hardcore, or at least semi-hardcore players. I believe ANet is also aware of that now.
I wrote this almost everywhere, I’m writing here too.
For semi-hardcore (nowadays common player profile) players;
-Reaching level 80 takes a week;
-100% world completion takes a week;
-Getting yourself a full exotic gear set takes two weeks at the slowest speed;
-Getting full set of any dungeon sets takes around four days;
-Leveling a crafting profession to 400 takes two to five days, depending on your skill and experience;
So, in two weeks, you’re ‘completely’ done with your first character, and probably, Guild Wars 2.
Question: Wait wait wait. You said completely but there is legendary crafting, WvWvW, sPvP.
My answer: No. Those are not endgame events, but just are claimed to be endgame events. Below is how come they are not endgame events;
1. WvWvW;
“Nobody” -literally- cares about winning buffs for their home server since nobody needs those buff. They are not needed at all. If they were, you’d feel that your buffs are missing and you’re struggling in PvE. But personally, I don’t even notice that I have WvWvW buffs on or not.
-But badges! You can farm badges!
For what? I can buy invader armor set with badges or I can use them when I’ll craft a legendary. Hmmm…What if I don’t like invader set and am not interested in legendary weapons? Answer: I have no reason to participate in WvWvW.
-But hey! Monthly achievements require WvWvW participation!
Who says I care about monthly achievements? And how can I actually give a care about monthlies while they give me almost no prize at all?
2. sPvP;
Nice feature but it keeps you entertained only for an hour, maybe two. Since you’re getting no progression …
-No progression?! You get glory points!!
Dude, nobody cares about glory points because nobody cares about looks in sPvP. In PvE, yeah, people care about looks but in sPvP, people care about their sPvP levels and scores …
-Hah! you said people care about sPvP levels! That means they care about glory points!
Yeah, they care about it for an hour.
3. Legendary Weapons;
Believe me. There are a few people who want to get legendary since they already have an exotic item that looks cool enough. I think only a few fanboys will craft legendaries. It takes big time to craft one and all you get is just a skin. What if I already have my favorite skin?
So, what does this game need?
Player and guild rankings in WvWvW.
New gear sets purchased with ranking points -not badges-
Dungeons giving karma
Karma as reward for each invader killed, territory captured in WvWvW
More places that you can spend karma on
.
.
I’ll add one or two things that the game needs later, I gotta go now
(edited by Valkyrie.2678)
I played around 10 hours a day when it first came out. Now I’m done with my guardian, I’ve started playing a mesmer that is level 17 at the moment and yes, I’m logging in the game far less than before. It is now like 3 hours a day, no more. I really love this game, I’m almost a fanboy but I’m really, really worried about it.
The fact is that, endgame content is the one and only reason for decreasing online count and hour, ANet should come up with a new design as soon as possible because nobody really cares for winning pointless and unnecessary buffs for their servers or shiny legendary weapons.
There should be stuff like personal wvwvw rankings, guild rankings, items purchased with ranking points etc
(edited by Valkyrie.2678)
I do and main reason is that, most of the wow players are gone now.
And here how it will go:
ANet should learn that how quickly GW2’s content can be consumed and I think they did see it. If they are not lazy and still want to become owners of the most epic game ever, they should design the first expansion pack carefully and it has to be a large pack with lots of endgame features and events.
However, I am worried about GW2 because as far as I see on XFire’s website, online hours is not going good, constantly down. This was expected because they didn’t release any content updates before mop, but still, ANet should learn their lessons from this experience and be more careful next time.
Definitely. The update on dungeon rewards are just the thing what was needed. It’s not like an unnecessarily much buff to shut players up, nor it is like a very, very little, insignificant increase. And as a ‘speedrunner’, I’m now more happy that I’m encouraged to explore all explorable mode paths, knowing that I’ll be rewarded nicely for my effort.
So many dam players on my server by the time I get to the EVENT it’s OVER sometimes. lol OP is either bad player or on ghosttown server.
Or just desperately wants to believe in that the game is dying.
What? We see lots of whiners everyday like we saw on every other gaming forums. They will always be there, wishing the game dies.
Wonder why that is? Gamers who whine or don’t like the game want to see the game fail? You know it’s not going to and I remember the forums and whines about GW1 lol. I guess it makes them feel good if they can pump their chests and say they quit before everyone else.
Maybe yeah. The thing I know for certain is, we’re not getting rid of them, they will always be there, whining
You do realize there would be players who would COMPLAIN and WHINE about YOUR IDEAS too don’t you? lol You can’t make the PERFECT game either bud.
Perfect point. That’s the idea. People think that only their opinions are perfect. Nothing is, there will always be whiners.
Step 1. Goes in sPvP.
Step 2. Gets killed by a class.
Step 3. Gets killed by the same class.
Step 4. Ragequits.
Step 5. Goes on forums, starts a topic and demands a nerf to that class.
Step 6. Starts the same topic again.
Step 7. Starts a topic about how boring GW2 is.
Step 8. Talks about a game that has not yet been released, will be a better game than GW2.
Step 9. Bumps #5 and #6.
Step 10. Starts a topic and says that ANet doesn’t listen to what players say.
So many dam players on my server by the time I get to the EVENT it’s OVER sometimes. lol OP is either bad player or on ghosttown server.

Mesmer is definitely a fun class, very interesting one.
Indeed. I think about these guys when I’m on a group event with a couple dozen zergs in the game
It does seem that you are meant to do all the starter zones/middle zones regardless of your starting race/class
No. My first character was a norn and all I did was advance through norn maps.
Ranger or elementalist.
If you find GW2 nothing different, I’m afraid you’re already done with whole MMO topic since GW2 is the only one different but you don’t think so.
However, I think this vision of yours is caused by frustration out of something regarding the game, just like any other negative comments on any other game’s forums.
The Secret World
except instead of binding you to your weapon skills alone, the secret world allows the freedom of a build much like guildwars.Your first 7 skills are determined by your weapon and is not limited to just 7 skills.
Theres also no classes, no levels and no restrictions.
Then why go on GW2 forums and complain instead of uninstalling GW2 and playing some other game?
I’ve typed this before, will type again.
Sad circle of whiners:
love a game too much before it’s even been released -> play it 10+ hours a day -> hate it because either you can’t figure it out or you figure it out too soon because you put your life aside and played -> go on forums and complain -> find some other game and love it too much before it’s even been released -> go on the forums of the game you quitted and talk about your new favorite game -> turn back to step one
I saw these type of people on forums of many games. They will never be happy with a game since the only problem is that, they can’t take challange and are not patient.
(edited by Valkyrie.2678)
That’s not called pve crowd since they are on forums, complaining, rather than in game. If you go in game, you can see the pve crowd there, playing and having fun.
And I wouldn’t call it different skill since you only have to stand there, not even dodge, do one single role for years.
1. You can still do heart quests because probably, there will be other people doing the same quest so you can help them and get it done together.
2. You can do crafting. Nice XP.
3. You’re able to finish instances that are 2-3 level higher than your level for most of the time. I’d give them a try.
4. You can explore. This is I think the most profitable option. Press ‘H’ → Go to the heart of the mists → use portal to go to lion’s arch for free → use portals to go to other races’ areas that correspond to your level and do quests there.
This system is a well thought one but I think, it is not working right because it is funny when you get 2s as a reward from a dungeon. There should be a minimum amount so you don’t feel like your effort is not respected.
But whatever it is, an anti-farm system is needed and I’m glad GW2 has.
Congratulations.
It is sad that some people still blame GW2 for not having holy trinity as if it wasn’t advertised before that the game won’t have holy trinity. I think only unskilled players need holy trinity since you don’t have to do anything else but only one, single action (dps, tank or heal people) while in GW2 you have to dps, tank yourself as much as you as well as your group if you’re playing with that kind of build, heal yourself and your group -again, if you’re playing that kind of build-, dodge and other stuff.
This game is a good one.
1. You don’t have to explore unless you want to craft a legendary. (100% world exploration gives you two gifts of exploration items, which is needed to craft a legendary)
2. You CAN level without changing a map. When you are level 1 and you start on a level 1-17 or 1-15 map, mixing up instances and heart quests and dynamic events work pretty well to level up to the max of that particular map. I could do you, you can do it too.
Since there are lots of people and you are sharing quests-awesome feature of GW2-, you can do quests even 5 levels higher than your level so you won’t be having problems.
When you get past the first map, pick your next map carefully and follow the same path: instances + heart quests + dynamic events. crafting works for you too.
3. Repeatable quests belong in primitive MMOs. GW2 is trying to be different as much as possible.
4. Complaining won’t help. GW2 is a game that is very well advertised and suggesting for old systems is pointless.
If you find GW2 nothing different, I’m afraid you’re already done with whole MMO topic since GW2 is the only one different but you don’t think so.
However, I think this vision of yours is caused by frustration out of something regarding the game, just like any other negative comments on any other game’s forums.
We’ll always have whiners and I think, they will start whining louder, harder. New generation is impatient, they want things to happen in a week. However, even if they get things done in a week, they start complaining about there being not enough endgame content.
Some of them buy gears, items and other stuff with real money and then like to talk about how the game already is dead, there being no real endgame and such. Funny that they talk about those while they already ‘bought’ the endgame.
" found the forums more entertaining"
same seen on diablo 3 forums. There are lots of people in the game, having fun while some people are constantly complaining on forums. I think this is because the new generation of players have a higher ratio of impatient ones than before, so there are more people complaining regardless of the game’s content or what it offers.
this kind of players will never be happy with any game and keep searching for a new game, trying it, complaining and finally quitting it.
See the file attached.
All the armors you see there are dyed in white and some parts look like obviously gray.
I hope this gets fixed soon because it’s not looking good when it is like a mix of white and gray dye. White should look like white, right?
Players are supposed to make the boss run into the pillars so it loses its Jormag buff -I don’t remember the full name-
Currently, if players apply damage to Bjarl while it has the buff, it gets bugged and won’t get knocked down when it charges and runs into a pillar.
This bug needs a fix asap because it blocks progression.
That’s why there is level scaling. When you are level 20 and have to back and farm at a level 5 area, you ruin a level 5 player’s game while farming. So you have to face things under the same conditions as a level 5 player.
This is called justice.
Ah right so by the time the patch was implemented you werent greatly effected then. you just needed 3 or 4 more runs to get those 100 tokens So what that other guy from the dungeon forum has said about them creating a gap between fresh and veteran 80 is true.
When you support something that denies other players from attaining your status that you hardly had to work for pre patch, come on lets face it, now theres anti multiple dungeon runs and anti farming, its pretty hard for the new 80s to get to your status and forces them to grind harder thats called Elitism.
To be fair it didn’t affect me much either, considering on the very day they implemented this patch I had just got my final item, a longbow but I can still see the concern amongst players who now have to work harder than you or I to get to this level. It’s unfair.
If you feel like you’re done playing on your guardian and thats why you’re starting over on a new engineer toon, then good for you, I hope you appreciate the easy time you had on your guardian and enjoy new journey with your engineer
I agree that CoF is now not really fun, pretty hard and actually not worth the effort. They should’ve just nerfed the reward instead of buffing the whole dungeon.
But if you really really really want that skin, you gotta login, try to find some other path, other strategy or maybe other people to play with. You gotta handle it because I don’t think you can wait for ANet to nerf it back if you really, really want that skin. When you want something a lot, you just start fighting for it. I mean at least I do.
About my engineer, no. I don’t really enjoy leveling it. I’ve created it two weeks ago or so and it is just level 10
I must admit that lately, I’ve been logging in to the game far less than I used to do. But that’s my fault. Even though I wasn’t in a rush, I was on holiday and I had nothing else to do but play GW2. So now I have to wait for a content update
Does this give me the right to flame on forums? I don’t think so.

Hey I was born in ‘91 and I’m patient :P
I don’t wanna call people nerds but…yeah nerds are impatient and usually anxious.

@rizzy
I have a level 80 guardian with 100% world completion, full set of exotic weapons and armors, two level 400 crafting professions (armorsmith and weaponsmith), skins from two dungeons, a bloodstone shard, recipes of gift of metal and gift of light…
aaaand a level 10 engineer.
And how did you manage to pay for your exotic and get those armour skins?
My first exotic set was through my armorsmithing, draconic set. And then I exchanged my 1,5g for gems to buy primeval set from TP. While I was playing, I was earning gold so I bought my weapons -I bought them before I got my weaponsmithing leveled to 400-
And then I saw molten greatsword skin, liked it, two days of CoF got me that awesome skin.
Yesterday, I got twilight arbor’s helmet skin.
You can do these too if you log in to the game instead of whining on forums. If you already have those, what’s up with the hate?
And also how did you come across 16+ gold to craft that or did you farm the mats?
And you did COF prepatch?
Prepatch I would assume?
I’ve made 100 CoF tokens after the patch.
I farmed crafting materials like, one or two hours a day for a couple of days, not even a week.
World completion is necessary if you want gold. Especially areas above level 70 give you nice completion rewards. Well enough to get exotics at least.

Problem is the community. They are selfish, impatient, they don’t tend to learn strategy, don’t want to follow a certain path because demanding for a nerf is easier.
But this community is the paying customer. Does it make sense to create a game with dungeons that are too tough for the majority of players?
Sure it may be that the players don’t want to learn those tactics, but in the end it still means they will not do these dungeons. Anet is planning to bring out more of them. This means they might bring out content updates that cater to a minority of players.
Hate the people all you want, but it’s not the wisest business strategy. Luckily there’s a lot to do and discover in this game, but what people call endgame may end up being interesting to only a limited amount of players.
So you say things should be nerfed because so-called majority is having problems with them. I say this is funny.
From the perspective of same logic, do you think battlefield 3 should come up with a system that automatically detects players who are not doing well in the game and aims targets for them?
I said impatient. Being good at something takes time.
(edited by Valkyrie.2678)
They should’ve just nerf CoF’s rewards instead of making the whole dungeon impossible.
But still, lmao, wow?

Nothing really justifies your nerdrage, sorry.
By the way, I can provide screenshots because haters usually go like “pics or didn’t happen!!!!!!!” since they don’t wanna believe some people are actually having fun and success.
(edited by Valkyrie.2678)
It is called grinding if you want to acquire some item in two days. Sorry but if you’re that impatient, you have to grind.
Otherwise, no grindin’.
Heh, you call those odd? They are NEEDED!
I’d pay for new animations, dances, faces, styles, artworks and such.
Don’t you dare call these odd again!
Problem is the community. They are selfish, impatient, they don’t tend to learn strategy, don’t want to follow a certain path because demanding for a nerf is easier.
Haters’ reasons:
1. Being a fanboy. Being a fanboy indicates lack of intelligence.
2. Ragequit and Nerdrage. People who don’t have anything else in life than computer games go really angry when they experience or encounter something difficult, too difficult, challanging or you name it, could be anything.
3. Impatience. Some(most) people are impatient and you can do nothing about it. They spend real money to achieve success in a game because they want things to happen too soon. Once they acquire every nice item in a game in weeks, they start complaining about there being no endgame.
4. Denial. Some of them just really like the game but somehow, they just can’t succeed it or things just get more difficult than they can handle. They really wanna succeed but they just can’t figure it out like, they keep getting owned by the same profession in PvP and they swing the hate on forums and demand a nerf.
5. Worry. This has probably the least percentage among haters but it still stands there. Some worry about a new game will crush their favorite game or steal players from that game or just is better than that game. This is like denial, but more like worrying about the future of your favorite game.
Now, why hate is not necessary:
1. GW2 is a brand new game. It’s only been four weeks since it was released. Every new game has flaws, issues, bugs, problems etc but ANet has shown that they address problems quite fast and they really care about our ideas and suggestions.
2. Since this is a new game, ANet needed to see how fast the content gets consumed, finished. You may finish the release content in two weeks, but don’t forget, there are people who haven’t finished it yet. That doesn’t mean GW2 lacks content just because you’ve played 8+ hours a day and finished it in two weeks. Of course, content updates will be received.
3. You’re not employed by neither ANet nor Blizzard, so you don’t have to worry about their future. Companies take care of themselves and you should only mind your own business.
