to meet the criteria u mentioned in first paragraph, in my opinion,i would use

Axe+Torch & Shortbow
Battle sigil+Agony sigil & Battle sigil

Dwayna runes +Carrion amulet

Deadly venom spider + wolf

Troll unguent

Quickening zephyr + Renewal & Stone Signet

Entangle

30/0/20/10/10
Sharpening stone+20%SIgnet CD+ SIgnet of beastmaster
20%Survival CD + 5s regen when burned
regen u applied last 33% longer
20%f2 pet skill CD

IMO,i get good synergy for ranger and pet combo/regen/good cond dmg with average physical dmg/stacking various conditions to put pressure on enemy to remove them/ability to really roam since traps ranger are more for cap point battles

try it out,my fav build for pvp so far

1)Whenever we dodge, our pets gain invulnerability/evasion.
Why? Since it will be tedious for you to program a synchronised dodge animation with our pets so just give them the invulnerability/evasion for the short duration of the ranger dodge.

2)Reduce pet dmg by XX%, increase all ranger weapon skills by XX%.
Why? Since it will be easier for you to just key in number adjustments.

3)Shortbow must shoot faster.Longbow must shoot further(untraited).
Why? Because there is a difference between short and longbows

Ranger is a handicapped profession so don’t worry guys,if u can play on par with other professions,that means ur skills has compensated where the ranger lacks.Once the ranger is on par with other profession,your skills will make u exceed the rest. All the best with GW2. Don’t give up,average players like me can do it,so can you!

2500 gold on tp but a few ppl already got it from shadow behemoth,expect price to plummet soon

I joined solo. End up having enemies who are rank 40+ premade team.
Getting farmed nicely by them. I’m sure they are laughing at the sheer amount of curios ppl entering solo to check the map

Where the ranger lacks in character performance,the player can compensate by refining his playing skill. So that when the day ranger bugs has been fixed,u will be outperforming the people who use EZ modes like thieves who only spam heartseeker,warriors immobilise+haste+100b. Since these people rely on superior character performance rather than improving their playing skills.

Be patient fellow rangers and refine ur skills during the wait.

i wouldn’t keep sharpening stones on my utility slot but what I’ll do is use them in the traits under the Power branch.So i’ll have additional utility that’s triggered when certain conditions are met.

I would not use utility that benefit only my pet as well since its better to rely on the ranger as u have direct control for the ranger

use normal stomp first,he will be forced to use his downed skill to pull u,then u use quickness and stomp him.This apply to all other profession as well.

Unless you burst him down with quickness and press f quickly the moment he is downed, whilst quickness is still active,which will make u finish the stomp animation very fast,followed by a time lag and then the actual death takes place.

Because Sylvari have “Glow in the dark” hair.That’s enough reason for me haha

And not because I said it, but because the developer himself has said these are problems deeply rooted in the ranger class.

With 1700+ hours experience, you should know there is a significant difference between PvP and PvE don’t you?

Ranger is not useless,it just takes time to get used to it as you will be controlling 2 character at the same time and there is also alot of broken mechanics that you have to endure with. But its still manageable because I’m an average player and I’ve achieved all this on ranger alone.

Only difference in PVE n PVP is that npc don’t whine when they die

can the devs have an exhibition match against the top QP players of NA and EU.The match should be recorded and stickied in the forums so that we can watch and all those who join the game after us can take a look at how fans and creators play.

5 videos per game to have a look at each devs perspective of the battle or 10 if the NA/EU opponent also supply their own vids of the match

Influence is the currency used in guilds to buy guild upgrades,passive buffs,banners etc.The 10,000 influence you earned is distributed to the guilds you have represented during the time you did any dynamic event,wvw,dungeons,pvp and buying influence gifts.

Using full soldier stat gears on weapon/amour/trinket and all upgrade slots.

Currently as of 21st feb,my ranger has 3500 attack unbuffed and without any boons in Lion Arch, Max i think is 3506 for now since I’m not using 5 agony5 power on my amulet and back piece(amulet using 4 power only,back piece using +5 agony5 toughness)

they should impose a penalty,if u submit ur name for a tournament but log out or afk whilst tournament is in progress,then they should be barred from tournament for 24hrs etc.not a severe punishment,but still harsh enuff to serve as a deterrent

Sadly the laurel amulets shares the same fate as ascended triforge amulet.It cannot be upgraded to infused version in the mystic forge currently as they don’t appear in the MF options.
Hopefully the upcoming patch will allow us to upgrade it,i’m saving the unused slot till then since slot infusions are lost when item is upgraded.

In the past,i’ve lost a few hundred achievement points after a patch.Learning from history i decided to take a screenshot of my points as i fear it might be affected again in the 13 feb patch. True enough it happened again.
This time i lost 100 points, attached herein are the pictures of my points and the title to prove that it has been achieved before but now has lost a few points in some areas like Gold hoarder,lifetime survivor,weapon master,slayer etc.
Kindly assist to give back the lost points,thank you.

Hi i wanted to make the same thread,lucky i found yours. I’ve a similar issue.Upon buying the bouquet of roses i tested it,then i swap weapon after finishing testing.After which i could not find it in my inventory anymore.Its an equipable account bound item. Please inform us first if this 400gem item is a consumable 1 time use only. I hope its a bug and that this item is re-useable.

Dear moderator, i made this thread just to say thank you to jormag and to show ppl that its possible to get a precursor from the chest. However my mistake was to answer someone’s question of what i did with that precursor afterwards and because of that someone thinks I’m making this thread as an “attention seeking charade” and “lucky Mr. Good Guy donating a precursor to a friend”. Its obvious that he is bitter at other ppl good fortune and is trying his best to flame me, i shalt not feed the troll and kindly request from you,the moderator to close this thread,thank you.

yups rangers can use the spark,but that would soulbound the precursor dagger to my ranger and i would have to do some arenanet magic to un-soulbound the dagger to give to my friend’s thief. Not really a good idea to waste a 200 gold+ dagger on a ranger just for this thread lol :P its ok bro if you don’t believe it,i still can’t believe i got the dagger from the chest as well

I didn’t wait until the other loots disappeared in the right of my screen, actually i was shocked to see the spark and had a moment of disbelief,by the time i switch to my game log tab and took the screenshot,the loots has started to go down n disappear one by one.

He most likely salvaged for it. While hobby tinkerer did used to give achievement points I believe it was eventually removed, and all achievements for it also deleted.

As for salvaging, several people in my guild salvage as a method of making money, and over the past 3 days or so my guild leader has salvaged well over 40,000 things

Should in the future, achievement points become some sort of currency or requirement, kindly check and adjust those who gained their achievement points through some sort of exploit, if such and exploit exist or did exist before.
I’ve played around 1000+ hours till today and have around 3700+ points whilst the person on my contact list has 15000+. Looking at the repeatables agent of entropy giving 2 points each or dungeon explorer giving 5 points each. I’m wondering how he manage to get to 15000+ with just these 2 method during these 3 months. I know hobby tinkering is repeatable as well but its not in the list so i can’t confirm for that.

If he has indeed gained most of it thru agent of entropy= 15000-3700=11300. 11300/2=5650. 5650×200 items= 1,130,000. That would mean he has salvaged 1.1million equipment. Simply amazing salvaging dedication.

I’ve asked him how he get his points so high but he couldn’t give a straight answer so i guess he was hiding his guilt from obtaining them thru some sort of exploit.If he has indeed gone thru 1.1 million salvage that then I say its all fair since he did put in the effort after all.

Arenanet is trying to cash in during the holiday season by introducing events in November and December,free account trials as well to draw in the crowd.

But the QUALITY of these updates are sacrificed for the quantity of updates.

Arenanet,you’re biting more than you can chew. SLow down with the events and new content update if you are not able to do a good one. Skip the november update and make a good one in december next time.

Halloween event was great, lost shore event is a failure so far.

Up till now,crystal desert has 3 bugged npc that prevents the lost shores event from progressing, 2 in Kessex hills(largos,canach),1 in Caledon forest(noll).

Not including dungeons problems
