Some people have better time management skills,just FYI.

Since I’ve completed the season 1 achivements yesterday, in less than 3 days, here is my comments based on actual experience.

Advanced Mists Defender: 450 kills. Too easy,done in a few hours.
Big Spender: Too easy.
Camp Crusher: 100 camps. Did around 30+ a day.
Castles in the Air: 5 Stonemist captures. Best done upon weekly reset,completed in sunday.
Demolition Expert: 30 walls/gates. Buggy but easy,do together with 30 towers gate. Invested in flame ram mastery so that no one will complain about achievement hunting.
Guard Killer: 500. Done in a few hours.
Leapers in the Mists: Done in a few minutes.
Master of Ruins: 50. Most boring,50 is too much,but can be done under 2 hours.
Mist Merc Camps: 50. Only gives progress for Neutral camps going to be claimed. Just tag a monster or res the merc then move on,let others finish the event, you get progress for success and failure. Easy achievement but amount too high.Completed in 3 days,did around 15+ a day.
Defense Restorer: Time consuming, have to run from supply camp to the broken tower walls/gates.Worst if supply camp is running on empty.Tiring achievement due to the running back n forth from supply camp to tower. Done in a few hours, since 500 supplies is = 50 repairs only(if u use 10 supply each time)
Sentry Capture: 225. Too high for me to clear in less than 3 days, around 65% progress so far.
Supplies Severed: 225. Too high for me to clear in less than 3 days, around 60% progress so far.
The Keeps: Was in EB mostly, not much of keep flipping, better to do in BL since there is 3 keeps(garrison counts as keep) 7/10 for me so far.
World Ranker: 50. Or 125,000 wxp. Too high for me to clear in less than 3 days,only have 30 ranks,10 per day.

15/15 achievements can be cleared in less than 3 days.
19/19 achievements can definitely be cleared in less than 1 week.
6 weeks remaining to do other stuff.

EDIT: I may be in KOME but i’m a lone ranger. Don’t group me up with them ya.

there’s no legendary weapon in TPVP. So ur bifrost should go to to ele since u mentioned the only drawback for ele is in tpvp.

alternatively you can use guardian,useful in pve/wvw/tpvp

thanks bro! Been seeing alot of negative threads about the queue due to achivement hunters like me. I hope this would make the wvw players slightly relieved that their long queues to play WVW will soon be gone since it doesn’t take long to get the season 1 achivement done.

Once the edge of the mist is here in 2014,then it will be even less of a problem.

I’m only in WVW for the achivement points and map completion, i personally don’t enjoy WVW at all since zergfest + lag battles is not how i want to spend my time. So i’m glad this is over,so others can take my slot in wvw rather than queuing. Daily achievement takes around 30minutes for the wvw part so thats the most i spend everyday in wvw for the 3 wvw related dailies.

Rejoice WVW players! Because it only takes less than 3 days for the season 1 wvw achivements to be completed

1 less achievement hunter every 3 days to help ease up the queue!!!

Got my new title and season 1 key using a ranger in less than 3 days. I’m not even interested in wvw haha! Thank you Crystal Desert players! and the invaders from IOJ and NSP for making it easy for me to get this over and done with.

Please make it real or part of the radiant series final 3 piece(Chest,legging,greaves)
21k achievement points onwards or re-issue the option at 12k,15k,18k.

Hi anet devs, let me fix this problem for you.

You can solve the precursor and the legendary honour at the same time.

The precursor and legendary should be account bound.
To be able to craft the precursor, u need 2 new items.
Gift okitteng’ Thorn’s Clocktower and Gift of Queen Jennah’s Gauntlet.

How to attain Gift okitteng’ Thorn’s Clocktower – Clear the mad king clocktower using all 5 different races in a specific order without any failures in between. 1)Human, 2)Asura,3)Sylvari,4)Norn,5)Charr. Instanced event for this. Option available when u want to warp into the map.

How to attain Gift of Queen Jennah’s Gauntlet- Kill Liadri after hitting her with 8 orbs and using all 8 different profession for each kill. Event is held in the mist so that amour and traits can be changed easily and for free.

Legendaries made with this precursor will have the term True Legendary on it and its account bound.

Pre existing legendaries can be thrown into the mystic forge with the 2 abovementioned gifts and 1 elonian wine to create the True Legendary version.

People wielding True legendary have their nameplates coloured in Purple.

simple solution, everyone who enters the clocktower is transformed into a human size scarecrow. Nobody will be bigger nor smaller than another person.

I did not choose a Charr because there is no need to make Tribulation mode harder than it already is

What i think will happen is;

1) Alot of player join the event at the start.
2) Some will kill a few mobs,dmg the boss a little bit and then start slacking off.EG,Go afk or do something else in the map whilst waiting for event to complete(daily gathering,variety kills etc)
3) Come back collect rewards.

U need 160 to start the event if 50% going to slack off during the event.

This already happened in the scarlet event, will happen again in this event especially since there is no champ farming.

Tribulation mode style of JP incorparated into a solo dungeon with a Champion Boss that changes its fighting mode to counter the player style so that no dominant build/traits/equipment has advantage.

Additionaly the combat skills and set of moves the boss have will be large and does not follow a pattern so that the fight is unpredictable and dynamic.

Hi John, please give Ranger melee pets a longer range for melee attacks because they will be rooted during the attack and its easy for enemy players to move out of their melee range.

Additionally, Lupicus and Liandri has made it very clear that they can one shot kill our pets and shutdown Ranger’s class mechanic for 45secs/60 secs. Something need to be done about this, either give the ranger a small buff when the pet dies (enrage or something) or reduce the time when the next pet can be up.

In terms of stats, having 1 Legendary Greatsword is equivalent to having 17 different stats of Ascended Greatsword.

Kind of a waste that we can’t use our special finishers on the Twisted mobs.
Any plans to enable the finishers?

So far the 4 bugs i encountered with the trebuchet is;

1) Whilst charging the treb shot using button 2, the interface with the treb will dissapear as though leaving the treb to resume combat. Happens quite often for me and it delays my shots significantly since I need to activate to use the treb and charge the shot again

2) Whilst repairing the treb using the repair kit, if i run over the treb post,I will be stuck inside the treb and unable to move. Happens sometimes when i run over the treb post to repair.

3)Pressing the left(1) or right(3) button does not trigger the treb to swing, pressing it again,causes it to swing more than one or twice depending on how much unresponsive triggers was made. Happens quite often and this delays the aiming of the treb.

4)Not sure what triggers this but sometimes the treb will continue turning nonstop in one direction and even if i leave the treb it continues turning by itself. Happens twice only in my experience from September 2012 until August 2013.

i got the achievement using cleric gear,BM ranger with shortbow, atk him at point blank and jaguar pet.Don’t activate piercing shot trait,don’t use axe,torch skill 5,etc.

114 attempts on lone Ranger.
3 build change before getting the right balance of dps and survivability.
Axe/horn+Shortbow
30/20/20/0/0
Wouldn’t recommend using ranger since its like activating a loss of dps gambit due to pet being our significant dps and unfortunately it is hard to keep it alive with all those aoe in phase 2.

Good luck to my fellow rangers, you have to work harder to keep up with mesmers and warriors in this challenge.

I can clear 5 gambits on tier 3 with no problems using ranger but I can’t beat Liandri with ranger.

How did you do the 5 gambit achievement with ranger? I’ve been trying to do it with deadeye and just don’t have the dps to kill him before he kills me.

(Also I’ve beaten Liadri so I’m in the opposite position to you!)

ranger with full cleric gear traited at 0/0/30/10/30. Survival CD,offhandCD,barkskin,regen last longer,shout CD,f2 skill CD,zephyr swap.Pet is wolf and jaguar. axe,horn,shortbow. utilities,zephyr,signet of stone,protect me. Elite either entangle(clear bombs) or slyvan hound(slyvari). How i did it-5 gambits on,all except tremor and add contender. buff call of wild and summon my elite slyvan hound when i see the notification that I’m up next.Once inside,send my wolf to atk and use fear,whilst he is running to the side,i walk to the middle and use axe 3rd skill for weakness. Reason for staying in the middle is so that he does not gain large atk when he teleports from one end to another.Swap to jaguar and dps him.If he try to kill shot you can either use shortbow skill 5 or 3. If ur on axe and swap is on cd,use stone signet then protect me. Reason is,if ur pet dies,u have no dps.So stone is important.Most of the battle you are trying to stay alive whilst he range you and 2 of ur pets dpsing him.Keep the weakness on to reduce dmg and use healing spring for more regen and heal, use call of wild to blast finsher on water field for more heals.If done right,gratz on 5 gambits for tier 3 with ranger

I used a ranger, all gambits except tremor and additional boss.

stay in the middle and try to survive, let my pet dps him.

ok nevermind, just cleared tier 3 with 1 gambit.
Its still a bug though since its suppose to activate when someone clears with 5 gambits

I’ve completed high stakes gambler(5 gambits active at tier 3) but the achievement for 1 gambit on tier 3 never activated. The one for 3 gambits on tier 3 activated just fine.
Please assist to rectify, thank you.

nice exploit if you can find people from different worlds to cooperate. Can take turns capping the SMC lord after the righteous indignation buff wears off. All opponents just stay in the lord room to kill the enemy mobs only, not enemy players, so that the rate of farming the champion SMC lord can be sped up.

Maybe instead of a certain profession being able to craft it, only Asuran characters can craft it. Goes well with the theme of Tyria racial strengths

easiest way to fix this problem is to limit the amount of ration a person can carry at any given time. Max 3 for example

It should be permanent in GW2 or a game by itself. Just awesome pvp and survival game. Should lower the amount of rations one person can carry so thakittens not a prolonged ration war. Other than thakittens great! Thanks to the team who made it!

Since Arenanet decided that medium and light amour users should just look like heavy amour users, its time to make do with what we have and try to look good with it.

Show us your dye and amour variations to complement the Radiant amour skin serious.

The Magic find account bonus from 1st achievements reward tier is not given even after the first reward chest has been accepted.

When Bazaar patch is released,all those with who have 10k achievement points or more will get a complimentary precursor of their choice.
I hope this becomes a reality and a permanent reward so that everyone will eventually get a precursor if they play long enuff. Since there is only 3 methods (Mystic forge(RNG),treasure chest(RNG),buying from TP)

Its easy to see that alot of the complaints here are mostly from kids whom has never step into the working world .

They think that when they finally get a job,they will be the director or the CEO of the company immediately.

The concept of seniority and reward over time is hard to grasp for them. Thus the concept of having high achivement points from starting the game early and rewards unlocked from having high achievementpoints is hard to grasp for them.

They expect to reap the same rewards as others even if they did not invested the time and effort.
