So far we are on the notion that these racial attributes are for players only. How would you feel if they are applicable to the PVE mobs that you face as well?
The pve mobs have a nameplate which indicates briefly what types of attacks they use and their immunities. Should there be a weakness also to the race specific mobs?
This would affect how dungeons are currently played.
Nightmare court will be easier to kill with burns,but they will be immune to bleeding, The fire legion charr will be easier to chain fear and immobilised,etc.
Only applies to PVE. Not to PVP or WVW as I’ve previously mentioned due to balance issues.
Thanks for your opinion. But at the same time, isn’t using small asurans with less visible animations, considered a benefit in PVP? This contradicts what Arenanet would have said if your quote is accurate. But then again,there is a separate discussion for that elsewhere.
What about dredge and stealth? Should stealth be useless when used against dredge to coincide with immunity to blind?

According to the thread it does which makes rank bound chests pointless now.

It wasn’t working as intended back then for dragon tokens, but is it working as intended now for the cultural and dungeon sets?Unless they have completely overlooked the matter haha
Since Dredge are eyeless creatures, they are immune to the condition “Blind”
But one of the more popular tactic in Dredge fractals is to utilise stealth to activate the panel/drop bombs/using the mining guns.
So the obvious question is, why do we lose aggro when using visual stealth against Blind dredge? Should the dredge be redesigned to maintain aggro despite players using stealth? This would make dredge fractal more unbearable of course so the quantity of dredge should be reduced for quality of dredge.
Destroyers are immune to burning, Plants and giants are immune to CC. Thus wouldn’t it be appropriate that the 5 playable races also have some benefits that is unique to each race? We can just limit it to PVE since it will have adverse balance effects on PVP/WVW.

Reason-Cats are quick to get back on their feet after losing their footing. But its easy to instill fear in them and losing their mobility is their biggest weakness and one that they fear the most.

The only reason i can think of is, the minimum lvl of the rune is higher than lvl 20, thus you cannot complete the transmute since the other gear is lvl 20.
just do 1 fractal run a day so that you don’t get burned out.
scale 49 is best.
From fractured until wintersday patch I only got 1 fractal skin and 1 ascended weapon chest.(Haven’t reach scale 49)
From wintersday patch until yesterday ,i’ve got 2 more ascended weapon chest, 1 ascended amour chest,2 more fractal skins.
I just feel scale 49 is easy and rewarding.(for the 41-49 range) Today a party member received Ascended weapon chest too.
Aim for 49 and just do 1 full run for the daily bonus chest.

TO ALL NEW PLAYERS PLEASE READ
Roll a Warrior and go for full Berserker gear. You will very much enjoy in both dungeons and PVE stuff. You do not read any other class than warrior trust me.
I would like to add to this, roll warrior as a 2nd character instead, use a non warrior/non guardian as your main character. The reason is that you will develop better playing skills so that when u use a warrior,u will be even better at it.
Warrior is easy to use because the superior profession carries the player.
Non warrior profession requires player’s skill to carry the class.
nice vid there, i wish this would be the experience i feel everytime i solo queue in tpvp instead of 4 v 5/afk goldfarmers/blowout matches. Come on anet! polish the hidden gem that is TPVP! there is so much potential!

“ALL IS VAIN” should be a pvp title. Obtained after enduring 100 match losses that are 4v5 or lost by blowouts.
“No GF” should be an achievement. Obtained after hitting below 69% in the leaderboards.

Funniest thing in PVP has to be “ALL IS VAIN”
got a WTF SKYHAM moment in solo tpvp in which the enemy team relogged to get their cheesy skyhammer troll builds. 4 of them to be exact.But suprisingly their cheese ain’t good enough.
Managed to win 3 games in a row without saying ALL IS VAIN, a very rare thing these days.
Make it so number 1!!!!!!!

I used to be in the top 200 for NA solo queue leaderboards,but then, they introduced coin reward into tpvp. All is vain.

the ascended equipment chest box doesn’t stack, so overtime,it will be just like the fractal rings that you don’t use,which will pile up in your bank. Considering that the chest box drops quite often in scale 41+ daily bonus chest
anyways, most of the vocal minority has highlighted the issue of not being able to trade or salvage ascended rings since the early days of fotm.
Once all crafts can be lvl 500 and all the t7 mats is unlocked,hopefully they will introduce ascended equipment salvaging,trading or exchange.

on another note,does anyone have a weird glow after wearing asc amour? I warp into timberline and notice i had a weird blue glow on my body. Not from any skills or buff. I warp to another map and the glow persist. i removed my gloves,shoulderpads and backpiece since they have their own glow and the blue glow is still there.
Edit: nvm,confirming its a graphic bug, the glow disapeared after i relog.

Hi, has anyone tried to use the upgrade extractor to remove the agony infusion and stat infusion from and infused ring before? If yes, are you able to remove both infusions from the ring using 1 extractor or is it individually extracted per infusion on one ring. Thanks in advance.
I would use the fractal leaderboard as an aid to LFG actually. Hard to find a group for scale 41-50 since I pug from 31-49. Only had 1 guildmate that occasionally party up with me if our schedule match.

Being the best amour in the game at the moment, its skin is not really the best out there. Please share your interesting mix and match skins, as well as the colours used to make the Ascended Amour look great.
Here’s my ranger.
Mixed with radiant gloves and shoulderpad to give it the heavy legionnaire look on a medium amour class. Colour used is Chalk,Icing and Celestial to match the radiant skin since it cannot be changed.
Hope to see awesome fashion ideas especially for the light amour!Can’t wait to see the ingenuity of the fashionable players to make it work!

Dishonoured should be harsher, you should not be a liability to the team if u are having connection problems in the game. Don’t queue at all if you know you might dc mid game.9 other player should not suffer due to 1 player.
Thanks for rewarding losing team with coins. Just as many players have foreseen(doesn’t take a genius to figure this out),it became an afk coin farm. 12 silver for doing nothing at all , but ruining the game for the other legit players.
They will get kicked out for inactivity but all they need to do is log in again b4 match end for their 12 silver. Thank you arenanet! truly brilliant idea for rewarding coins to a losing team!
Here’s my idea for Horizontal progression.
Legendary Amour + Character Progression + Personal Story.
After getting to lvl 80,having 100% map completion and completing the Personal Story, we should have a continuation of the Personal story which is linked to the creation of Legendary Amour,which should be account bound.
For example,after Orr has been cleansed and Zhaitan defeated, Trahearne went back to the heart of Orr and the Ancient Kings thanks the heroes for their victory and aid.
To show their appreciation,they revealed a secret on the art of imbuing amour with legendary power and to seek the lost art.
We then need to find the clues to the lost art,which leads to Zommoros. He is able to craft the legendary amour but he requires some legendary materials,especially the ancient tomes that describe the art of crafting it.
The quest should be a hard but repeatable solo quest and the mats should be account bound.
Final materials for Legendary Amour,E.G Legendary Helm= 1 Ascended Head Gear + 1 Dragon Heart(solo combat quest) + Ancient Tome(solo puzzle quest) + Phoenix ashes(solo time gated quest)
Please make the quest interesting and filled with relevant lore, No scarlet please,thanks!
Right now we are trying to determine in what form we are going to keep ranks and how they should be balanced so attaining the rank of dragon is something that you have a reasonable chance of achieving and not a quest that you pass on to your children and your children’s children.

so if the exploiter have 1million glory, he can buy 5000 batch at 200 glory each.
Each batch has 10 giant gift, so thats 50 000 giant gifts.
Each gift cost around 2 silver(example). He would have sold 100 000 silver/ 1000 gold worth of gifts.Take away the TP taxes and that would be around 700 gold per 1 million glory?

With the coming edge of the mist, pve players who want to play wvw casually can do it there,thus the current wvw system should be revamp to a 6hr match format.
It would be better if in 24 hour period, the matches last for 6 hours each and the map gets reset for each match. So that the wins is recorded and we can know what are the main time a world usually wins or loses. This way, a better group of 3 worlds can be matched together so that its not about winning due to different time coverage.
This would effect gold and karma used for sieges and upgrades so I would also suggest that upgrades should be free and siege recipe as well. But the siege recipe would be limited in number and everyone will have 1 of each siege for each match.
Supply will reset on each account so whenever u enter a map,u have 0 supply,this would help non stacked servers in a way since supply would be equal to all.
Each borderland and EBG would have a max of 50 players(arbitary number,can be other value) If all 3 worlds have 50 players,the match will start. Those who are late will queue up and be reserved, if someone dc or log out for more than 2 minute,his slot in the world is lost and reserved player goes in. The amount of player in the world will be indicated.
If more than 50 ppl are queued for a map per each different world, and overflow of the map will occur. Wins in overflow will be counted as well.
If multiple overflows are created but the amount of players start to reduce due to log out, EG Overflow 1, 50pax world A vs 50 Pax world B vs 40 Pax World C, Overflow 2, 50 Pax world A vs 50 Pax world B vs 20 Pax world C. Then all in world C for overflow will be queud in overflow 1,quickest 10 to accept transfer will enter overflow 1,remaining 10 goes to reserve. Overflow 2 will then have a match conclusion by forfeit and the score is recorded even if it does not complete 6 hours. Exception is to main world,even if players are not equal,the match will continue for 6 hours, this is to avoid mass log out and compromising the game.
at the end of 6hrs, the score and the statistic of the match is recorded for all worlds, including how many ppl was playing for each world on overflow. That way we can see if a world win due to 50 vs 3 0 vs 10. Take note that overflow will only be created if all 3 worlds have 50 player each,so having more players does not mean you can have more overflow just for your own world.
How to determine the winner can be discussed further, we can take average score across all overflow to determine winner for the map. then we can add up the sum of average score per 4 maps to determine winner for the whole 6 hour match.
When 1st match is being tabulated after 6hours. Those who are reserved will immediately start the 2nd match that will last for 6 hours.Those who have played match 1 wil be directed out of wvw, they can then choose to join back wvw if they want. This is to ensure fresh rotation and opportunity to play.

From an achievement hunter and completionist perspective.
Log in, check daily achievement category.
Plan on how to clear dailies in least amount of time by consolidating those that can be done together.
Execute them as planned.
E.G the categories for today are Maguuma Killer, Aquatic Slayer.
Queue up for TPVP solo queue, then go to any maguuma maps with lots of underwater mob, clear both dailies together whilst at the same time mining and harvesting along the way for daily gathererer,getting some slayer kill count(Krait slayer for example) as well as weapon kill count (Trident/harpoon gun/spear kills). If TPVP match pops up,stop the pve daily to do TPVP first.Aim for 5 solo queue wins whilst rotating between pve n pvp. Thus doing 3 PVE dailies,6 PVP dailies, 2 PVE permanent achivement progress(slayer and weapon),5 PVP permanent achviement progress(champ brawler,champ profession,champ slayer,normal slayer,normal profession wins) at the same time.
After all dailies are done. Carry out daily ascended crafting for the time gated materials. Use non lvl 500 crafters so as tolvl up along the way.
Clear inventory and replenish important consumables if necessary/tidy up bank and inventory.
Once all is done, log out and enjoy real life.
Yups, this game is more of a chore than an enjoyment for me, but I can’t help myself,i need to clear all dailies even though they are adding more and more of it and the living story achievements are gone every 2 weeks or so,that just makes me more paranoid and i have to clear all living story achievement on the release date itself if possible, same as monthly achievement. No one is forcing me but the completionist in me compels me to do it.
sold 3 damask bolts for nearly 60 gold in 2 days, will buy back 12 damask bolt when they are worth 5 gold thats how u take advantage of time gating and its effects on certain players.
